Good God Man, can you say something intelligent for once. Woodford is not selling, he is buying. Some silly unintelligent market move is frightening him? He is a real man. Not afraid of a temporary little storm in a tea pot.
ATNM down 10% CPXX down 21% VBLT down 8%TGTX down 7% ADXS down 16% IMUC down 8% CUR down 8% . I guess someone must know something and it an't good, right Steppen. NWBO down only 4.7% WOW a Star!!
Turtle , you may be affecting the stock price! But why would you want to have a negative impact on your pocketbook?
Turtle,
A consistent drum beat of despair is not helping. Do me a favor and resist the temptation to hit the "submit post" button unless it is a new or positive comment. Please. I lived through the dip to $3.? with as many shares as you have, and learned that being silent is sometimes the only thing that keeps things cool. Believe me, you will thank me when this is over and you have a gazillion to spend.
Wolf, I am sure management at NWBO have nothing better to do than answer questions from 1,000 share shareholders. Particularly when they are not supposed to engage in public comment. If you think that the loss of value is particular to NWBO, then you are not paying attention to the market. Get over the loss of value issue as its common across the board. Biotechs are high beta stock. Are you a shareholder? Does your angle on this matter relates to an investment, or pure curiosity?
I see you are not happy with the lack of comment by management. I really don't know any company that is responsive enough. But they have a job to do and babysitting stockholders is a tinny one. Good luck
Sentiment, Its interesting that most people don't stop to realize that facts of a litigated case can take on elements that are never considered. And you might be surprised at what the facts looked like when presented to a judge, as something totally foreign. Hindsight changes the nature of facts with the temperament of actual events. Like Iron is changed into steel. Caution is the best option for all things bordering on legal issues.
So go out and pay your parking tickets.
Sentiment, looks like even the Street is beginning to agree with the underlying fundamentals of your wave theory. GoodGuy's last post looks to oversold standards, and NWBO hits that mark as of this Monday. Very Interesting.
Sentiment, love that last line about NWBO and third wave up!! I see many reasons why NWBO should rise strongly! All depending on a panic free correction!
I can point to 50 biotech companies you could argue the same thing! The truth is we are in a sector rotation that puts us in less favorable investment environment! NWBO is probably a superior investment for many reasons, which should be self apparent! And as you correctly note, proof is in the pudding! As it will rise rapidly after this brief downturn! I would say I know, but that would sound to much like Joe Smith!
Sentiment, If I read this correctly, we are in for more pain?
Minority shareholders are at a disadvantage, for sure. However, don't really see buyout concerns on the radar screen. I suppose Woodford will continue to buy shares in the open market. But, so what, as that has helped contain the shorts and has been the reason share prices have risen sharply.
I don't think Woodford has shown any interest in hurting the average private shareholder. Contrariwise, he has not insisted on special stock warrants, or keep free of dilution clauses, or outrageous haircuts on his stock purchases. In fact he bought at market rates. To think he would now suddenly want to take advantage of the average joe blow shareholder would certainly be a sharp turn.
Where is this company incorporated? It would take a super majority to approve that kind of buyout. Don't think the other major holders would agree to that, certainly not woodford. So wouldn't worry to much about that being an issue. And if they knew it had passed PIII and tried to go private without revealing that information? I hear the distant sound of cash registers ringing, and attorneys singing a Hal-la lu-ya chorus .
You think NWBO is singled out here? Look at BLUE with a high $197 now down to $87. This is a sector wide sell off. Nothing the management of NWBO can do about that. So just strap in an hope it has hit bottom. Good news would likely get lost in the noise now.
Mav, thanks for posting this interview. You are correct that what is essential is trial success, and LP's statements about that show a CEO who is unafraid to make predictive statements which were founded on her view of concrete proof in prior trials! Woodford has given a gas peddle to the company! LP is doing much more than getting through a PIII, she is preping the company to actually do business upon drug approval!
Ahh, mapman !! You are wrong! It's either a very good investment or bad one! I believe the former! And truth is you have no clue! Good luck!
Mapman, everyone should have bragging rights, and you have yours today! I bought 13k in 6.70 - 6.90 range and think that will prove to be a steal! Predicting $12 before holidays in December!! Next year $46. So that 30 cent edge want mean much!! But to be realistic for short term, the market could continue this down turn. Just don't know! But optomism is the best approach to living!
Following 26 bio stocks and all are big red! Major sell off ! Oversold for sure. NWBO is a best buy if you don't mind the fear factor! Actually I think it's a no brainer! Major turn north soon
sea of red no matter what stock you held
Don't know what stock you are long on , but for sure its negative this week! So don't think your position with NWBO is vindicated here!
Agree on all points
Hope all these guys are successful! ICT-107 is only effective with 30 percent GBM. Maybe NWBO can fill the gap! What happened wit CUR today, up 29 percent. NWBO has a big up day coming. LP was just to certain in London for there to be a bad overhang waiting. There is a lot of developing information from these trials. Helpful! About CUR?
Entire market has been off this week! No real selling pressure on NWBO. Understand desire to see results, but you have to be steadfast and wait! LP in in it to win it, not just to get through it!
Koman, thanks for the update! I have read the science reviews! Things are looking better! Sharper, cleaner, exacting focus by NWBO on issues! Best opportunity for success! Halt? Not to worry!
T...WAF, Thank you for that admission! Often it is difficult to acknowledge to ourselves what drives our actions. Certainly, you admit what drives you as being the sting of loss! There is something heroic in that. However, Science posters from important Scientist are currently showing promising signs of significant activation of the immune system by DC Vax. Science has recorded prolonged survival as well. A PIII trial of DCVax L will conclude efficaciousness! You acknowledge you would accept a positive result here! Good!
Can anyone be certain that the PIII trial will fail! Answer yes and I will gladly accept 100 to 1 odds through a bookie in Nevada on that bet! You would give the odds! Not that certain?
Truth is clearer every day that this vaccine is stimulating an immune response. It's just a question of whether that response makes a difference! That my friend is not a blind bias!
Don't think KD is completely wrong. We could see a SS prior to trial completion. Certainly not before the conclusion of this halt issue though. The driver for that is already in place. Clear as blue sky. S's have to be a little nutty to drive this close to the edge.
Not sure I get the point. Is Halted any different than suspended? Really.
Did anyone see the news that the biotech sector lost price control because H. Clinton's Twitter about drug expenses being out of control. Interesting how mere whisper of unfavorable political view can send stocks screaming downward.
Have to totally disagree with the idea that posting CURRENT research articles is pointless. Frankly, most comments by individual investors is worth about what I paid for it! So I encourage RK to rock on witk these timely and significant articles!! As far as I can tell it doesn't effect anyone's ability to say whatever they want! So if you don't like it, ignore it!
Just from different viewpoint: I like RK's bucket of information. Very interesting items to read, and stuff I would not find, for sure. Thanks RK
Yes, like I said, what relationship does that have with what I was saying. What gross distortion was taking place. Apparently something in your head, but nowhere else. I was merely speaking to facts. The pool of stock available to shorts is drying up rapidly due to a continued acquisition by NW. Is that a distortion? That this might lead to a short squeeze. Is that a gross distortion?
Enough, I have family to engage now.
Well Cherry, all you have to do is look at the post I was responding to. Did not appear to be tethered to anything remotely rationale.
Everybody needs a scapegoat, particularly after a crash like 29. History has clearly indicated that leverage was the reason banks lost majority of depository holdings, retail investors lost their investment as well as substantial amounts of debt. Short selling has its own effects, but leverage created the enormous hole that left the country bankrupt, which is the significance of 29.
Have no idea where you are coming from! Pretty certain I don't want to know also. Perinoid is not always bad, but irrationality is!
29 crash was caused by excessive leverage not shorts !
Yes, but you are correct that both have had a rocky relationship of recent post merger
Oh, good so you remember the story also. I see that story repeating itself here. Or at least a big possibility.
The actual story I read was that of a family business leader who stepped in front of a train because he lost $100 million in the VW short squeeze that occurred when Porsche offered a buyout! Shares went wildly high as shorts could not cover! The article mentioned $1,000 per share, so I have not confirmed that price on exchange. Very similar to the de facto results occurring with NWBO
Reading comprehension not a strong suit. Point is only 13 million retail stock owned + Woodford buying at torrid pace of 10 million annually from open market = no available shares for shorts to cover. Get it? And, what short conspiracy do you see happening since Woodford began buying?
Indeed, let me offer you a new way of looking at things. You should call and offer to loan your shares to shorts. You are paid interest, and you can cancel at any time. When share price hits a rapid rising level then you call and say you want to cancel loan of shares and then put your sale order in for limit contract. That way you lure in the shorts for a true slaughter. Like a true hunter of big game.
