Got my player today and <5 min later I'm watching live TV. Nice interface, great streaming. We just need some more features released, sports channels and the hard rollout and the subs should take care of themselves
Major league indigestion on this one what a POS. C'mon Joey...
People should not drink and post. Some of the spelling errors can't be completely attributable to autocorrect
Every year, the way it works for us, is that the apartment companies issue each kid a cable box for their rooms. The cable drop is never where the kids want it. Can you imagine having a single box in the living area and then each kid gets a Roku stick for the room. The kids could also have access to TV and campus channel right on their phones.

Agreed. And what university wouldn't want a campus channel on each OTTV student account where they could take advantage of the hotel/information capabilities
4steadyb-
Totally agree with you on the sports channels. FS1, FS2 and NBCSN are absolutely essential. If a marketing target is college campuses/dorm rooms, no one will want this without the sports but it would be huge with sports support. My college age sons say every kid they know would want this in their rooms and on their phones. Large student housing/apt complexes could strike a deal for OTTV to all of their rooms and leave cable behind.
I do think you should get 3 devices when you sign up and then 3 more devices for each $10 extra instead of just 2 and 2. In addition to our TVs my family had 7 iPhones and 5 Rokus
Kas11- check out PlayStation Vue. Pretty nice offering-if you are a gamer and have a PS4.
How about we cut them a little slack this week since Florida is being evacuated and will soon be partially underwater. I'm sure their operations are severely impacted.
The only good thing going on here right now is that an 18% drop is not as painful at 4cents as it was at 20cents. Other than that I'm pretty miserable but holding
I have to say that as much as I try to tell my children that it is not good to be overly connected, I really enjoy being able to pull out my iPhone and watch live TV broadcasts about the storms, financials, etc. I like the idea of free trials for people purchasing a new phone, Roku, etc. because I think once someone sees this service they will buy it
OTCs are lottery tickets. I scratched off a huge stack of these and came up with nothing. Lesson learned.
The official roll out of this product may not be fast enough for some but the streaming service, interface and product potential are off the charts
I guess joey and company are going to let this run to trips. What a POS

Interesting because I had a running conversation with support yesterday through the online support ticket system which worked very well. Each response from them was about 30 min.
Percival...my receipt says I'm order 345
All I can say is wow. Watching live tv on my iPhone and this is wonderful. A few more sports channels and I'm done with cable. How could anyone not want this service
Finally got signed up sub#345! At first they were not going to give me a player but I complained a bit and "management" came through!
If they offered more sports I would have already pulled the trigger. Support rep told me last week that expanded sports coverage is coming. Despite the whining of some people on this board I think this is a very impressive service. I see no reason why we shouldn't capture a decent percentage of the massive OTT opportunity
I heard back regarding my support ticket in about one hour, not too bad. Unfortunately, I did not like the answer I got. I had asked about the free player for investors, but the reply stated that only premium package subscribers, 59.95, got a free player. Bummer, I was looking forward to the freebie. Also, the Roku installation was seamless. Great streaming quality.
Just called the Florida customer service number to sign up and got an answering machine. Bet they are evacuated. As a shareholder how do I get the player for free?
Ranger do you what everyone is so upset about with the CEO and Twitter? I follow @Vivaentgroup on Twitter but haven't seen anything else other than this, but not much of a twitter fan so I may not be using it correctly.
"Damn if we do damn if we don't . Trying not to get into debt so noone cries dilution omg you lied world ending"
I use both but have always been frustrated with the 3D rule in my cash account. He said it changed to 2d just today
Just found out today from my fidelity rep that it is You now 2d for settlement.
We need some solid growth information and we need it now
Wow good for you. I'm in at around 3M looking to get to 5M. Maybe I'll ramp up to your level if/when they get the subs rolling
Thanks GS_T. I figured that was the case but don't want to miss out on this one. Primed to buy more on the open Tuesday then I hold as long as necessary for this to ramp up.
Where is this trading I thought the market was closed today
...left out a la carte channels rather than strict bundles
All this Viva provides!
Have introduced the Viva live TV concept to all of my sons (aged 15-23), here are their comments:
Really like the concept of no annual commitment, month-to-month is the way to go.
Cloudbased DVR is an excellent idea, they want to watch their content wherever they are.
Multiple screens support is essential, particularly iPhone and iPad.
Price seems right, but more support for sports channels is necessary.
Streaming needs to be very fast and reliable, little tolerance for cacheing.
Primary competitor seems to be, in their mind, PS4 Vue which many of their friends have as their only source of TV. Interesting to me how much things have changed for this generation. Cable boxes limited to one household really seems to be dead in their minds.
Agree shanett. I have all 2.8M locked at $1. Hope to buy more this week
I have 4 sons and the 5 of us are avid sports fans, esp soccer. They used to watch ESPN all the time but that network has really deteriorated and is watched now only for the top 10 plays and whatever games they show. FoxSports is far better so Viva HAS to offer all of the Fox Sports channels to be competitive
What about support for TiVo. Would hate to give up my TiVo interface
Any insight on support for Netflix, Amazon prime and TiVo? I hear the cloud based DVR will be unlimited Really?
Shanett
The number I called is 917-455-3514. Sorry can't send private messages
How do you find out how many actven subscribers there are?
I don't get it. I just called the support line and got a full description of each of the channel packages, pricing, etc. This sounds too good to be true. Why is the stock price not higher?
What is holding this back? I just looked at the website with players and channel packages. Looks fantastic!
With a round of financing and $ from the Bahrain deal they could easily entertain opening 10 stores but it's hard to imagine any would be open for business this year. Long term horizon for me.
Based on previously posted math I figure 0.03/location at 10x multiple assuming $350K revenue profit so we should be at 0.06 right now with no speculation. 30 locations to reach $1
