It looks like BAA almost closed above .44 on Jul 27.......
Markets continue to levitate on the continual "surprise" of no rate hikes.
I think they own only 16-17% but if you count the $10M loan announced with the Dore deal... it would be more.
I hope there is no buyout talk until we hit at least $2.00/share but it is in any buyer's interests to buy now. Banro wants to refinance $160 M in debt but that is equivalent to their market cap. Couldn't any financier simply buy them out for their market cap plus a little sugar coating instead of refinancing?
Hi JJ8,
My instinct was that gold got a big run up on Brexit and 'felt' overbought to me (I say 'felt' because I haven't developed any indicator yet and have not yet developed the discipline to trade off of other well known indicators such as RSI, etc) specially considering that the north American markets in particular were able to levitate their way upward to break all-time highs.
I expected BAA to give back a little bit, as the inspire and expire dynamics of anything in existence. How much it would give back was a wild guess to me but I tried trading. I sold a bit of holdings and anxiously bought JDST with the funds. I saw what I thought was a little strength in gold and BAA the week of my trade and furiously bought back a portion of my holdings here as I have already lamented.
In hindsight my principle emotional enemies are: fear (of missing out) and impatience (expecting my expected moves to play out more quickly than they actually do). Self-control is not an issue for me and I am a sponge trying to sop up knowledge without few skills to date.
Thanks for you encouragement! What you have shared resonates strongly with what I have learned about myself over the past few years due to numerous challenging life events.
Unusual after-hours trading. 66k shares sold - someone exiting after hours?
Why would his resignation be a cause of or in relation to poor Q2 earnings?
Based on calculations using Q1 expenses and knowing Q2 production, the earnings should be around $0.05/share.
Am I missing something, board?
Considering the political speak is more or less neutral regarding Banro, I would agree, as I view this as bad news. Kevin is an excellent CFO, IMO.
Kevin Jennings resigns to chase greener pastures.
Good luck Kevin! Thanks for your help.

Is that some goodwill I sense? You're getting soft big guy!
Bravo! I need to learn to stick with my gut instinct.
Well, even if this moved was somewhat "expect", if you'll permit me to say, it still hurts a little to see we are down 6% today.
Indeed. Are you flipping, StockItOut?
It looks like JJ8 might have gotten filled this afternoon. Congrats buddy!
Teehee, oh you.
If we can post a profitable Q2, that should surprise the market and get BAA a healthy market cap appreciation! We are witnessing today in GS$ when an equity runs too far, to quickly outstripping it's balance sheet fundamentals.
BAA is a real investment. Nobody else will be getting my shares due to my poor flipping. They are 100% locked down now until $4.00.
If I had a Banro share everytime i've read that from that poster, I'd be RICH!
What else is on?
Back to .44 by EOD?
Haha - thanks for the encouragement. Hopefully we get positive EPS in a couple weeks and bounce right past the competition. I should go into hibernation until then to avoid losing more money.
My new sharecount is 352k.
This is the second pullback in gold and BAA that I anticipated exceeeeepppttt... I got too impatient and didn't trust my instincts. Thus, bought back in way too soon and at a higher price.
Yep - worst flipper in history. Haha. It could be worse though.
Was today's news a non-event? Why was it PRed and not treated like a normal sale? Why is it different than taking out a loan with a bank in the DRC (which they do and don't PR about it)?
Days like today make me feel like selling everything and walking away from this company. The optics of needing another $10 million are very bad.
No wonder the company is getting treated like garbage by the market.
At least I was right about this!
GS$ only 42k/oz in Q2. BAA @ 49k/oz in Q2. Come on market! Wake TFkkk up!
any word from Martin?
I am officially the worst flipper in history. Teach me!
I got too impatient Friday. Banro was looking strong and dang... one more day I could've gotten a nice flip
Seems like a good deal for Banro. Market is being totally irrational right now - BUY more!!!
I bought back in today too (although with fewer shares ). But Banro and gold's strength this week surprised me. After seeing GS$ yesterday I really don't want to miss Banro's run.

I commend you for sharing and being transparent. I invite you to continue doing what you are doing as you have become the sweetheart of the board, if I may say on behalf of its members. Your steady handedness and level headed thinking has made me realize a few things even as I was despairing that the BAA-power was not all that powerful....
I actually sold a chunk of my holdings yesterday. Gold and silver are both very overbought and there are lots of speculators who have been pushing the price higher and higher. As exciting as it is, and as fun as it is to dream about it going higher, I think a healthy pullback in gold is needed and I expect BAA to follow before they continue on their merry way! We shall see!
On 80k shares too! Wow - what will this open at tomorrow?
I saw the action this morning and bought another 20k shares. It was a good choice.
I wonder if it is part of the bond refinancing process, which is basically the same thing I'M
What makes you say that? BAA seems to have had a nasty habit of moving before news sometimes in past. This time it moved with the market from what I can tell and maintained strength today because it is so undervalued.
I'd like to think that something is up though...
I have that gold 'ol competitive type-o-feelin' that BAA outproduce GS$ in Q2
Great close!
The constant noise is soothing for me. Thanks :)
It's called mania, and you are right - there is no logic there. It will give back its gains when they pile into BAA
Money chases a good story (look at Tesla!) Banro still has a good story but its bad history is weighing it down.
Wonder how the meeting went today.. here are the results for the election of directors:

*crickets*
Pretty sure that Q2 fins will do it.
Anyways, accum/dist is still rising and my bets are on it continuing to rise.
Nothing but buys since 12:30 too and the price didn't budge... and now it is down.
