ROT correct. we're now wearing a 'clean diaper'...finally./eom
Q4 2014 will prove to be an inflection point in Solms' tenure at Wave. The ship has turned :) IMFO
RootOfTrust - totally agree!/eom.
player1234 - what do you mean?
you said: "Was this a "goal" of the upper management?"
a goal for what purpose, I'm afraid to ask?
Blue - Does it r-e-a-l-l-y matter? /eom
player1234 - do you think this filing may mitigate some of the financial risk the company may be facing in closing large deals?
New Wave - agreed! Solms' closing statements were very encouraging./eom
player1234 - can you quantify that period? TIA.
Player1234 - you said: "There better be deals associated with this hire, not excuses."
So would one hire right before the deal or right after?
But Bluefang...you said:
"We shareholders did not say the turnaround would begin in Q3 and Q4. The CEO said it. He still has five trading days to deliver before his credibility is shredded and he is regarded as essentially no different than his predecessor. Sad. "
although Q4 begins in 5 days...it doesn't end in 5 day.
hooray!!! glass still half full :)
Player1234 - didn't mean to insult you. I simply followed the chain of events, formed an opinion, then asked what your take was on the same...
LOI (signed)
Definitive agreement (unknown)
Relationship further into development with product slated for 2015
My opinion: I trust we're beyond a Definitive agreement.
Another fluff PR wasn't deemed necessary.
there...
"The companies have executed a letter of intent and anticipate the signing of a definitive agreement in August."
http://www.wave.com/buzz/pr/wave-and-bell-id-partner-combat-online-payment-fraud
All I'm saying is that things seem to have evolved beyond that anticipated event.
Player1234 - so a letter of intent was signed and it sure seems the anticipated event did indeed happen - that according to Bill Solm's presentation, and product in partnership with the EMV producer is slated for 2015.
What's your take now? The anticipated event did happen and wasn't PRed?
Waveduke - it's all a question of how close we are to the other side of the donut hole...
Bill Solms seems to indicate we're pretty close, but "pretty close" is relative.
Did you hear how he "colored" government opportunities? Seem to be happening now (?) - my take!
because he's a relatively new CEO, with a new sales team, and a virtually new product. No one in a similar position will give guidance!
He did stick to his words of turning around the company the second half of this year. The second half is upon us...let's see :)
One man's crater is another man's treasure...
Most investors realize their investment isn't hinging on Q2 numbers, but rather near term guidance, Q3/Q4 visibility, and beyond...
Again the crater might deepen a little but it will bounce back up quickly. There is simply too much going on in Wave land that will debut in the second half of this year. I believe the drum-roll will start shortly after Q2 numbers are released and absorbed.
Hey, I've been right and wrong before :)
We may drop lower intraday, but I don't believe we'll close below $1.26. We shall seeeeeee....
"Thank god I'm meeeee"
Jeff Bridges: Fisher King
waveytrain - I agree. We are IN the crater and there WILL be buyers after the 'ugly' Q2 numbers. So, good luck figuring out where the crater's bottom is. I'm excited about the very near term.../c
dig - how does that worry you?
I wonder of the DMI relationship with Wave is exclusive. If the Wave VSC product is indeed a game changer, then wouldn't other solution providers/integrators want a piece too?
thoughts...?
barge - from a marketing standpoint, what are your thoughts on Wave's VSC 2.0 overview video pitch? have you watched it?
yep - and now that we have a kick-ass product that offers attractive savings, sales should follow shortly...no more excuses. The fact that DMI is co-hosting the launch gives me hope that they too see tremendous opportunity.
Let's do it!
thanks waveduke - great overview video! /eom
and DMI has to eat it's own dog food before it could serve the same to other customers./eom
I Dung care, especially if BofA is our first reference client.
waveduke - actually you were on the MONEY :) and speaking of money go check out the dot on the AB board...your thoughts?
nelzoni - just holDong a bit longer./eom
Digspace - what are you looking for in terms of total $$ amount from this, Wave's first VSC customer? Over a $million?
Bluefang - wow! nice post, but...
this: "Solms announced a deadline and for the first time in Wave's history--it was met!" hasn't come true yet. Do you have insider information otherwise?
c
one may dwell and marinate in "what could have been" ...if Bill Solms arrived a couple of years sooner.
Hey alea: I shall only blame myself for following blindfolded...
Hey dig: My loyalty was hijacked by a regime...
Hey player: My optimism has a new partner in Solms...
Coffee break - happy ending around the corner?
dig_space: with regards to VSC, I agree. With comments like "coordinated launch event" and "multiple press releases" the probability of a customer announcement during the third week of July is high.
c
I'm starting to smell beans!! /eom
hi dig_space - all this "vague" maybe a face for "under promise and over deliver".
To state the VSC launch is during the third week of July is quite the specific timeframe. To me, and as you already have alluded to many messages ago, the launch may very well include a contract. The stage is being set...to over deliver.
yikes!! imagine that...over deliver...
c :)
Many thanks waveduke for posting this link. I like this Q/A format for a press release...excellent!!
nicely produced...short on content. I bet this is work-in-progress...
Hi tkc - Let's hope we get to sell the oil in the tanker, and not the tanker as scrap. The shareholders would still have to vote and approve any buyout...correct?
Alea - great post and I totally agree! /eom.
wavytrain - you and Expat suffering from scrambls-phobia? Why can't Wave simply slow down the project instead of kill it? which is what seems to be happening...
ExPat - scrambls isn't listed as a product anymore (on the website)...so what was once boiling is now on simmer.
