Remember some of our reasearch from a couple of years ago. Here's one to look up: http://www.onevoicetech.com/Services/desktop.asp
Nice little San Diego company that went public in 1999 and had contracts in Japan. I wonder what kind of stuff they are cooking up today. If you look at thier mission statement, they are in the same fields as we are.
Agreed! eom
I bot 15500 shares @ .51, I hope I don't wish I'd waited util Tues. or Wed. next week.
EDIG has in the past worked with all those names. If you'd read my post carefully, you would see that "others" were companies we have worked with in the past.
It's not freezing in South Carolina, but it's cold and sunny here, too. GREAT MORNING to be alive and hold EDIG stock!
OT: ucansee, where are you located in this big USA--what's the weather like this morning?
The BIG FISH are Intel and Microsoft, but I'll settle for Samsung or ????? LOL
TI may have even asked us to do work in the past; so the possibilities are long as to whom, or to what companies RP is referring.
Sent, the "others" could be applications that are top secrect such as the work we did for Intel, for Samsung, for Olympus.
Good Morning Ediggers! I couldn't sleep much last night after trying to read the Agora Board--it was so slow it took me an hour to catch up on all the posts since yesterday morning. So here is my take on the announced web cast.
1) At least one new big company will be revealed; that's the good news.
2) The guidance will be more of the same--F10 shipping in last quarter vs. this quarter; that's the bad news. AND
3) Company will need more money to expand it's business (which is normal) and will discuss the S3. The really big question that I have is why do a web cast? The last one was such a bad broadcast, it was hardly worth recording. I had a terrible time listening to it. Going back to my first point, I think that somehow they've talked their new OEM into letting them do somekind of announcement that is just short of a general PR. Now we have to get busy and figure out what questions we want them to address. Lois
Cue, whats the date on this release? TIA Lois
Critical mass--that is what he said many times tonight. I think he meant that we are on the verge of attaining break- even and then profitability. I was involved in a start up computer company in Oregon in the 80's. We didn't raise enough money in the seed money phase, we didn't reach critical mass. We failed, even though we had a great idea, and other companies are doing what we did way back then. Lois

Not much to add from being at the meeting in person except the pleasure of meeting d.inkie, tattuva, and others. I will decide whether seeing sunpoop was a pleasure or not after our golf game tomorrow. Don't know about the future of the golf tourney since the guy from out of town is the only one who could get a tee time. Back to the meeting:
I assume everyone caught the veiled message about the ''Gateway'' to increased revenues. Got to actually see, touch, feel and hold a Gateway player. Funny how e.Digital had a Gateway player on display at a shm - maybe we are actually in the Gateway player (do ya think). Digiplayer is everything we have heard. It is top drawer quality and the picture and sound make me want one. The Disney headsets are not as ugly as emit thought and the young engineer who told us about them was obviously excited about all the products on display.
We should all be proud of Robert. Frank tried everyway he could to pin RP down, but RP deftly defended his position with RP speak that would be the admiration of the world's greatest negotiators. No new news but I continue to view my investment with ever increasing optimism.
Convergence is the future for e.Digital and that is going to take some additional time. My personal view is that the IFE and player sales are good for keeping us up and running until the real future arrives and e.Digital ties it all together. As you heard from the question and answer session - we have the products we need. The development work is done and it is time to focus on marketing the converged solution. Works for me. I am sure more specifics will come to me after I sleep on it and get a relaxing round of golf under my belt. We may see more dilution, as RP clearly stated, but the end result will more than make up for the immediate pain. Hang in there all - start making plans to attend the meeting next year.
Kirk

He said $10.7 billion was spent on video rental, $7 bil. of these were on DVDs, not the old tapes. This is why the video and the IFE/infotainment platform is so important. People are willing to pay and to pay up. This market is BIG and eDigital wants a piece of this biz; I could just see Fred's mouth drooling as he was saying this!
Keep your eyes on the prize. IFE is but the tip of the iceberg: it's the movies. Americans love movies and they love them every where, not just in the skies. Remember Fred's example of the screening problem the Academey Awards pople had last year.
How about Dick Tracy's watch circa 1940's: by Olympus! Communication, Video, and computing????
Gil, are you going to the SHM? I'm wondering who will be giving us a good report when the meeting is over?
What is this, the old Raging Bull board? It's hard to follow with all the creeps. Guess I'll have to get my "Ignore" button going.
Boy, oh,boy! Do I relate to your plea--that's why I was so elated when I got throught the maze!
OT: What happened is I went to the CES , had a blind date for the CES 2002 with a guy I met on the Internet, then it was ball game! He went back to Maryland, I went back to Oregon. We each sold our real estate (for me that was quite a deal), got married in July 2002, and we both retired here in So. Carolina. We call our house East Meets West. LOL I didn't post or watch the boards for almost a year. EDIG was at $2.08, I think, and when I looked again last Fall is was at 14 cents. So I've been buying all the way up.
OT: Yes Moxa, he's Okay now. Two weeks ago, he underwent open heart surgery. His prognosis (sp?) is excellent. Thank you for your concern. Lois
Okay, I'm up and running. It's only taken a hour--most of it trying to find my laptop. We had just moved into a new house when my husband had to go to the hospital, so finding anything is a big job. If anyone is wondering how to get the SHM this afternoon, this is what you can do. 1. Go to the edigital website. After you click on the CCBN button you'll see a "player." (Make sure you have Windows Media Player software) The ? on the box will trouble shoot the whole thing--it did for me. I didn't have any speakers and couldn't find them, so I hauled out my laptop where the speakers are built in and YES I'm in. I know I can get it because they are currently playing the August release which I could hear. Yea, for my side!
3 years ago I had planned to go to the SHM, but my boyfriend of that era was having surgery, so I didn't get to go. I wanted to hear the SHM, but couldn't get it on his computer. AnnP over at the RB board helped me bring it up using the REAL software. The next year I attended the SHM in person. Last year I heard it on my system. This time around I'm back trying to figure out how to get our new system to allow me to hear it. This winter my new husband has had a heart attack and open heart surgery; I'm on my own with a new wireless setup that has lost it's sound. So back to my old computer that I've rigged up to hear the SHM. QUESTION? Is there some way I can test my set up this afternoon? What software do I need installed? Just need some simple info like: Step One, turn on the computer. TIA Lois
Good morning E Diggers! Great day to be long a little company in Poo-way that most people have never heard of 'cause we're way under the radar screen. Lois
OT: I didn't get my new TT; BUT better yet, I got a new husband! Lois in South Carolina

Guess I don't know what is meant by ''e-book tablet platforms'' because I thought they were what Bill Gates introduced at CES 2002 in his opening speech. He came out looking like the English school boy. His tablet PC was something one could write on vs. using a keyboard.
Help: What is a E tablet multimedia form? See my previous post from Agora yesterday?
Agora from yesterday question: What is this "e tablet"?

Happy Turkey Day to all my fellow board members! If we all get rich, maybe our little "family" of posters will get together once a year on the board meeting day for lunch or dinner in San Diego. I'd be glad to organize that kind of affair----but, first things first. I'm very grateful for what I have, but a little icing on the cake wouldn't hurt my feelings! LOL
Looking at Cassandra's list of privileged money-lenders, I would have to think these are people and trusts that already own EDIG shares--big time. So their loaning money is a win-win-win deal without the ability to short. They would be putting MORE money into this enterprize and they will be BIG winners if this company makes it! Lois
Does this mean that not very many units were built and ready to ship?
Okay, I just bought an other 1000 shares at .49 a couple of minutes ago---hope it doesn't go to .41 on the close! Lois
One more personal note and then I'm going to watch the Redskins. Richard is from Washington DC where he worked for the Washington Post for 41 years before retiring. He got one of the first XM Radios before I met him at the CES. When I was getting back to my stocks, he got interested trading stocks and bought some XMSR at $2.90 a share last Fall. He kept averaging up and now it's near $23.00. He thinks this stock picking is easy! It's just his beginner's luck. He thinks I'm kidding when I tell him I'm going to make a million on my investment in EDIG. LOL, all the way to the bank. Lois
What kind of guys put up big bucks for little itty-bitty companies?

Been thinking about the guys who bought the new shares and got the warrants. I guess I knew EDIG would be looking for more funding, and I'm not surprised it came when the stock price was up 30 or 40 percent over the mid summer price. I just wish I knew what those guys know, that we don't. If I were going to sink some risk money in this company, I'd want the company to tell me why it was a good investment. I missed a year of posts when I went to the 2002 CES, met this guy I met on the internet there in Las Vegas, married him in July and moved to So. Carolina. During that year my pps went from around $2.00 to 12 cents last Fall! LOL, guess I wasn't watching my investment. So what happened to the Intel connection? Three guys on the B of Directors were from Intel---where did they go and why? What ever happened to DataPlay--where are the engineers who worked with us on that great 2001 CES? Where did Olympus, the big camera company go? And tonight I read that Bill Gates held up the original puck? We hang out with winners; I KNOW the big companies watch the little ones. Voice navigation is still viable and our company is probably still in the forefront in new technology for it. SO---If I were going to sink $2 million into EDIG, I'd want to know how I were going to be paid back in spades. These guys know something we don't know yet, so I'm going to hang in here a little longer, and keep buying on dips. I haven't hung on to shares I bought at over $2.00 all this time to throw in the towel now. Lois
Does anybody know if the new airlines are ones that don't already have some kind of IFE system in place or do we have "distruptive technology" here? Or both?
1.02 million, 1 cent per share loss vs. 2cents last year same quarter.
Changed back to .50---make more sense, less cents! LOL
my bid shows at .65! Must be an error.
I tried to find out, but I'm still not sure. I believe it was my trade because I just made it after posting Bustario.
