Dell designs new pcs for Chinese and Indian market
http://money.aol.com/news/articles/qp/ap/_a/dell-plans-new-pcs-aimed-at-chinese/rfid83798016
Thanks ispro..I had the same experience a month ago with small business sales person...This is where the rubber meets the road..
I understand your sentiments..there is so much activity in this space..however that has not meant meaningful sales or earnings for anyone to date..now is a pivotal point I agree..
Wow I guess the word is MUM until the earnings and CC!
Now thats what I'm talking about..
Way to go Indiana
One can hope the gateway relationship lives today...that would be incredible to have the #1 and #2 laptop manuf...
Khillo I get your drift...but this is not a game,,and it is certainly not silly...
Here is a real reach..maybe the pipe is only to finance new hires
(more burn),,,and Wave really has so much new business that the new hires pushed the BE out,,,,and Dell and Seagate owe us enough in accounts receivable to BE!!!!I can't believe I just posted that..
Well I sure thought the next million share day would be up? shoulda coulda woulda...
Alittle consellation (sp) Seagate upgraded, and WDC downgraded

WOw I knew it was coming, but I feel I am in need ofan EMT.,,,
and I am trying to be nice...
Nick when were we told Dell will say something next week..?TIA
Take a deep breath Mr sunshine..
This is in light of Steven early on saying Seagate thought they would ship 2 million this year,,,and Steven saying lets be conservative and expect a million...
Did you notice the charges they took this qtr...add them back and see what you get...and their margins were up?
http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2008/02/29/analyst-upgrades-pfe-dell-dgx-and-scgly/
Didn't someone post that they heard ( i know it is only hearsay)
that they were shipping 20,000 a week..Seagate that is..and I would think Dell can more than handle that kind of quantity..also wasn't it considered SFI(standard factory install) the last week of December?
Sorry I tried,,lost it..but can do ..will bring it back..
here ya go

There is an article at GCN.com that VMware virtualization software has allowed users to breach the virtualization and enter the host system? this seems to be an interesting security breach,,and if anything Wave has could address this..huge market..??anyone who understands this (technically) help please..tia
There was an article or blurb yesterday about how effective Dell and VMware has been in the market..so this is important on alot of fronts where Wave is now are heading..with customers and their customers..
Jay this is software only I think...
Dory I'm not sure, but I think HP had similar increases..all pc oems are seeing the same thing..Now Dell does more of the US enterprise business..
Thats got to be more than most countries! didn't someone get the laptop figure at 35000.
Boeing and Dell are tight..Boeing did move home office to Chicago but is so large they have huge presence nw, west, sw, and st louis...I think your premise is very accurate..
Heard someone on CNBC previewing Dell earnings say,"Dell's consumer business was only ten per cent of their total.." I thought it was like forty per cent..can anyone help..that means their enterprise business and sales unit wise is alot larger than some here projected..and I wonder if his figures include is it Alienware or the high end gaming computer company they bought..tia
Thanks Doma..I knew it would add to current qtr or first..Can you elaborate on NEC volume compared to Dell..I know they do well in Europe..and was surprised that Japan was not mentioned..thanks again
I have been out for last two days if posted forgive me.
Dell and VMWARE deal
http://money.aol.com/news/articles/_a/dell-and-vmware-delivering/n20080226061209990006
Does anyone have a feel for whether NEC might add to this qtrs sales/upgrades...Maybe Ispro knows how they do in Europe? and how long it would take them to close some real business..tia
One problem with attempting a purchase is how do you price a commodity like Wave/// that is suitable for both parties..and I would think that Steven and others in decision level postitions would rather keep control...obviously there is always a price that would could work, but if so it would have already happened..that is if anyone sees the potential we all see! At this point a stategic investment would seem more probabe?
Now I don't know which post made me laugh the most this one or Waveriders pill..
probably a fatigued Wavoid,,,and hopefully someone from Credence,or Dell , or Seagate is picking up those shares..!
Its interesting that the deal with Wave is after they had been working with Server 08 for quite some time..with their large customers etc...and they still saw a need for Wave's Product...
ITS COMING...just so darn slow..
Standard problems..gcn...interesting that a Msft rep is suggesting
USB drives to hold keys? thought you more technically inclined would enjoy this..
http://www.gcn.com/print/27_4/45846-1.html
Wave is still losing money , and may/probably needs more financing..Until management can assure the street otherwise with concrete order/information..it will continue to bleed..Most of the Wavoids ( i would think) are all in..and don't want to add to their positions,,thus no buyers today..
New funding to protect cyberassets!
