Amazing how such a small buying volume brings up price. When road construction starts, watch out nay sayers.
Depressing is correct. Price relentlessly driven down. Management without comment on how to create investor value, looks like PR might be right again. Tough to watch losses mounting.
Nothing is worth reporting unless worthy of a press release. Still extremely skeptical of news disseminated on this board. Jake needs a press release. MDNT shareholders still have nothing to hope for except the release of Yellow. Disappointing no great news about film edits or deal signed. 3 months since FONU takeover and nothing to show except rebuilding of team and further liabilities.
Depressing that with all the good news that FONU stock can't act better. I still think undervalue by a dime at least. If Jake can't keep up the momentum, maybe need a new CEO that can get more business for the studio.
You are correct. MDNT shareholders own the entire film library, and when Yellow makes money, profits distributed to MDNT shareholders. Hopefully in form of a dividend.
Yellow released when Jake picks the right deal, might be lucky to have Sienna Miller in American Sniper and releasing this year instead of last year. My guess later this summer or in the fall of 2015. MDNT shareholders have been extremely patient.
Film and sound stages will be financed. Some through stock, some with private placement deals. Jake's job is to find investors, and when complete ( 100% ) sign, sealed and delivered--then appropriate to announce in a marketwire press release. No goofy tweets like Manu.
My guess is sooner than later. Jake doing a lot of traveling to NYC lately, can only hope he's not wasting our money. Just buying more FONU, betting on a better outcome than Manu.
Curious, FONU is diluting (o/s 200,000) yet price is higher than post split. When Manu started his crusade, stock plummeted. This time, something must be different since price is stable. If you listen to naysayers, we should be at .001 by now. What's the best explanation?
The news flow will keep improving as Penny Marshall will land big talent for Effa. Yellow will bring funds to MDNT and FONU, better late than never. Sound stages will get done, hopefully by this fall. First soundstage has to be built this year, as outlined by IDA. No problem with that milestone. Yellow will be profitable if marketed correctly.
Jake is going to be there.
Looks about right. Wonder what Jake has up his sleeve this week. Need the PR to continue momentum. Looks like higher lows and higher highs. I wonder what next earnings report will reveal. I'm hopeful to get good news from Yellow team so MDNT shareholders like me can monetize our shares.
I honestly don't know. I hate penny stocks, and MDNT and FONU will be my last. I've made plenty in NYSE and NASD stocks, and will continue that strategy for retirement. MDNT and FONU have some potential, money to be made on the production side of the equation. Also, unless you're local, no one has a clue on how significant the land lease agreement really is. But Jake needs to keep development of land on track. The only place to develop land is in Effingham, and once dredging and deepening of Savannah River completed, land value going to increase substantially.
Because Jake couldn't execute a money making deal. I've seen the film. I was worried before seeing it myself, with all the shenanigans Manu was doing. The film is great, and will make money. A good deal is on the table, just hope good enough for Jake to pull the trigger and sell. I will have to wait for a press release, just like everyone else. But after seeing the film, it should get some money. The big question--how much? I think it can recoup several million, but you never know what really resonates with moviegoers until you put it in theaters. I was surprised at American Sniper's success, and having a Sienna Miller lead is a plus for Yellow.
I stopped buying MDNT shares since last summer, waiting for this asset to monetize. FONU can share in some of the proceeds, that's one reason I dipped back in FONU shares. But not planning on retiring from FONU or MDNT...no one should. If it happens, well you were very lucky indeed.
When you bought MDNT, you had to realize your were buying into Manu's ability to execute his plan. He spent most of the money buying Yellow and not one cent on building sound stage. Once investors realized their mistake in March and April 2014 that Manu was legally diluting the hell out of MDNT without a real plan, it
was a death spiral. So far not happening with FONU, but that's the risk when you play in Penny Stocks. I would love for this to trade on NASDAQ, AMEX instead of OTC--not going to happen.
I am local, but think bigger. Variety and other outlets will eventually write more about Penny's film and stock participation. Engineers at work, Yellow becoming a reality. Timing great now that Sienna Miller had a great box office presence with American Sniper. Studio financing should be announced soon. I own Medient shares and have suffered greatly because Manu was ineffective. Jake is trying to mend some broken fences and win back irritated investors. I started buying FONU in December after news announced and still buying at these levels. Saw the inside purchases by CEO and local investor. CEO bought at .04. Local investor bought at .08. Why?? Why spend his cash on his company? Maybe CEO sees the undervalued FONU2 making some good income with a Penny Marshal film. Why would Alice Neuhauser take a reputational risk by aligning with Jake (a repeat loser stated by PR Maniac and other haters so many times). Manu was the loser, and he lost in Nevada courts. Still waiting for him surface again...just better not be in Georgia after he legally wasted investor's. He talked a big game, but had nothing to show for his efforts and "spending".
Effingham IDA on board, and once they release funds for infrastructure, I think everyone can stop holding their breath...and wonder if this project will get off the ground. Real estate development is slow. If nothing advances in Effingham by the end of April, then worry big time...and run for the hills. Otherwise, sit back, enjoy the news as it's reported (whether in local or national news).
Yellow will get released, why would Nick Cassavetes and Jim Flynn be working on FINAL edits?? Oh yeah, may to prep it for theatrical release.
This is public knowledge. Read all the previous filings for Medient.

Movies are continuing to come to Savannah. It's FONU/Moon River Studio's job to help in production (if asked).
The role of Chairman/CEO is to find financing for movies and NY investment firms have the capital (with help of Ex-governor Paterson and other board members). I'm sure Alice and Graham will work contacts in LA, while Jake works NYC. Moon River Studios has to place shares with investment companies. Choate will remain on board and provide construction when the funds become available. Effingham IDA will release 1.25 million as prearranged in agreement to build infrastructure for roads. I would assume construction still on schedule as no press release indicates the opposite as PR/other shorts proclaim. Meeting with local investors continuing at a fast pace as momentum gains this year. Total different feel around town as many more people aware of the studio since Penny Marshall announcement. It's up to Jake to find support in NYC, LA and Savannah area.
Since other movie projects being shopped around, I'm sure word gets around quickly since it's a small town. I'm sure Jake's getting involved since Moon River has Penny Marshall too brag about. It's going to be a good summer. Atlanta studios are getting full.
Choate is contractor.
Local investors are starting to believe. I would expect buying to start picking up in the next few weeks.
Unfortunately not the cheapest way to get financing, but no deep pockets. The plan is sound yet speculative. Been buying FONU since Penny Marshall films announced. It was the only way to save Medient studios...MDNT shareholders should be upset, as am I, with management's performance in 2014. Hoping to continue momentum since restructuring of FONU. Nice to see a local investor step up and buy into project.
Most of the money raised went to paying Yellow investors. That's a major part of the 16,000,000 loss. Unfortunately the asset hasn't been monetized. It will...this year. Unfortunately that is one anchor holding Medient and FONU down. The construction of infrastructure continues, but Jake has to announce financing of sound stages and Effa when appropriate.
Jake very much in charge. Much to PR chagrin. Every contractor from Medient currently working on project. No deviation. Stock will go higher when and if finalized. Buy if you believe, short if you don't.
Too bad for you that the Effingham IDA already knows about the executive team disbanding from Medient. And yes, the engineer from Savannah working on project.
Hoping Mr. Shapiro can announce some good news soon after traveling to NYC this week. Local investors starting to pay attention now that Hussey Bell Gay & DeYoung currently working on engineering, soil samples. Remember, all engineer bills have been paid in full.
Financing must around the corner, Seems like a lot of volume compared to the old days.
What I've learn from observing this project and discussing real estate development in Savannah is that you need to build your network with smarter or more skilled individuals. Raising millions in recent environment still difficult. But movie business is growing, and the opportunity in Effingham is ripe for investment. Start up costs are inevitable, and sometimes a new businesses won't succeed. But it doesn't mean you stop trying even if you have a few hiccups along the way. Jake had A MANU obstacle to overcome, and it still lingers in a Savannah. People wined and dined Manu only to see him squander money. It would be nice for Jake to wave the magic wand and erase his involvement with Manu or the wine industry, but you can't erase history. But we can all learn from mistakes. Jake too. I think the team he's building has a successful background, and if you believe they can bring movies to Savannah, then invest and be patient. This studio won't be built In a day--more likely a year. And it takes risk and money!!!!
Incorrect again.
Another piece to the puzzle. Alice too smart to jump in unless there is something very positive going on in Effingham. Can't wait to see a news announcement about Yellow and construction beginning in Effingham, especially since all the engineering bills paid off.
Local investors are probably stepping in now that the Penny Marshall film news is spreading. Obviously we know what's going on but general public still has no clue. Once Jake has more PR others will join. I know personally that friends of mine buying lately from the Savannah area.
Syracuse Film festival showed the Notebook.
Why waste the effort. He's probably instructed NOT to discuss project unless it's Nick or Jake as he finalizes the latest/final version for theatrical release.
Since I've seen the film in the Medient offices last fall, it would be safe to say you have no clue about Medient assets.
Distribution not done, will be done at a later date.
Check again about lawsuit.
I feel for you. I would not sell shares at this point unless you need to offset some gains. I have many MDNT shares, and other local investor bought into FONU. I would sit back and let this play out. Effa is in pre production and other movies are under review.
Need to pick the best deal for Yellow, but I'm hoping they pick and announce the deal soon and get the monkey off MDNT's back. Another piece of the puzzle solved.
And yes Jim really is working on the edits PR, and the film will be completed within weeks.
Yellow is owned by MDNT shareholders. PR again would rather not give facts.
Fact 1: MDNT has asset of Yellow. Manu is gone, legally lost his lawsuit in Nevada. He's probably back in India licking his wounds.
Fact 2: MDNT shareholders will receive money after all debts paid off to initial Yellow investors and any expenses paid for distributing the film. Plenty of money left over for us, just later than expected...much later.
Fact 3: FONU will make Penny Marshall film, and when Wendi and Penny are in town, we will take pictures for PR.
Fact 4: The shares recently released by FONU are to pay for EFFA. Institutions will pick up those shares and hold for a restricted amount of time. That's Jake's responsibility as chairman.
You're correct, nice to see this MDNT asset monetized soon. Financing of Yellow P & A not a problem at this stage.
