The management bashing should stop now. It will be a nice change to see posts here that are positive and more product related.
All out at 1.39.....back in at 1.30
What was the first 1.18 worth? Looks to me like quite a bit was already built in.
It's just news.
Morpho Detection Awarded Lufthansa Airlines Contract for Itemiser DX Trace Detectors

I think this new ETD will be a formidable competitor for IMSC. It can accurately sniff out illicit drugs and explosive substances, and the price is quite a bit lower than the B-220. If it works as described, we need to fear it.

Due date was in June of this year. I got this from an amendment.
“The offeror agrees to hold the prices in its offer firm for 120 calendar days from the date specified for the receipt of offers.”
Sounds like this one died on the vine.
That's funny!
Tim Cook said the Apple watch would be available in early 2015. Now there appears to be an internal memo that says the watch won't be available until sometime in the spring (after March 20). Using some of the logic I've seen here, Tim Cook is a liar, has misled the Apple shareholders, and should be removed from his CEO position. What do you folks think?
Let me get this straight. You will be buying on the upswing and accumulate up to 46,000 shares. That strategy wouldn't have worked last time it popped and quickly skyrocketed to 1.80. There wasn't much volume from sellers until it got to 1.70 - 1.80. Sounds to me like you've lost your faith. Good luck...Hope it works for you.
HC: You can base your buying and selling decisions on:
1) Statements made by Company spokespeople that have access to facts and first-hand knowledge.
or
2) Opinions expressed here by investors making best-guesses.
Which makes more sense to you?
The most expensive lesson I have learned is "Don't try to pick tops and bottoms".
That's easy. Turn on CNBC. Listen to the talking heads. The ones speaking positively about a company are trying to drive the pps up. They are longs. The same must be true here.
Hi HC: I believe in this company and its management. I'll probably be able to buy more tomorrow. You might consider doing the same. Sell a car...buy some IMSC. lol
Good luck to you and the other longs!
We can only hope that you are right. It's a real gift to be receiving facts here instead of the same old tiresome opinions over and over again. Either way, opinions based on facts and logic are always appreciated.
Thanks, Buzz, for all your positive and insightful posts. I have learned much from you about IMSC. I am baffled by those that come here and complain about the company. Whenever I become disappointed in one of the stocks in my portfolio, I sell and put my money to work with a company I believe in. Obviously, I am a big believer in IMSC. I should, because IMSC has provided me with the highest paper profits of the 15 equities that I currently invest in. Keep your posts coming. Information like you provide is why I come to this board.
10/24/14 - Smiths Detection VP of Sales:
James Viscardi: While the government has cut back on its defense spending, it has not eliminated it. Homeland security remains a high priority. There is no question that our customers who had relied on grants from the government in the past to purchase defense and security products have faced challenges in receiving funding lately, but what I believe is happening now is they are reshuffling their spending priorities so that security does not fall by the wayside. Security and defense spending is cyclical and has historically been reactive, however I believe we are becoming more proactive in nature. This mindset will take time to change, but spending will follow. As terrorist plots grow more sophisticated and criminals become more elusive, we have no choice but to respond with increased security. At Smiths Detection we strive to offer our customers value. By providing them with a quality product that is reliable, customers can justify their purchase, because they will serve a long life with minimal maintenance.
So what's the alternative. Management saying "It's out of our hands now. We have no idea when the bureaucrats will decide to place an order." And then watch the stock tank? I'd rather see them continue to be optimistic.
Wow! How much clearer could it be. I hope your post is understood by those that may be complaining based on emotion rather than logic. Reminds me of the old joke where a married couple are arguing. The husband says: "Let's be logical about this." and the wife replies: "No. That would be unfair."
OK folks...it's time to chill. There is a very small universe of buyers for our products. The selling effort has already been completed. The sales teams for all providers have made their presentations. The buyers know what they will purchase when the time comes. We are dealing with bureaucracy here. Dictionary.com defines bureaucracy as: (1) government by many bureaus, administrators, and petty officials. (2) administration characterized by excessive red tape and routine. IMSC Management is not the cause of our frustration. It's being caused by bureaucrats. Have patience. Our competitors aren't seeing large orders either. Most of us have a nice paper profit at this time. I wish I could say that about my crushed oil-related stocks. GLTA.
Well put Buzz.
Maybe you could give away a B-220 with every Chevrolet...lol
Are we the only non-radioactive detector? Don't think so.

Sounds like Mr. Boldec is going to do very well when the share price hits $5. Good for him.The rest of us should do very well also.

TSA Halloween Travel Tips:
If you plan on traveling with your costume this year, keep in mind that realistic replica items and props such as guns, scythes, pitch forks, chainsaws, butcher knives, grenades, axes, bombs, swords, machetes, and other realistic weapons are prohibited from being transported in your carry-on bags.
Most replica weapons can be transported in your checked baggage, but it’s never OK to pack anything that looks like (to include but not limited to) explosives such as grenades, land mines, rocket launchers, shells and bombs. Even if it’s a replica, anything resembling an explosive is treated as the real deal until the explosives experts can prove otherwise, which often leads to delayed flights or baggage.
Thanks for the post, Pat. Yours is the kind of post we need here.
What you say may be true, however, gorilla glass is tougher than sapphire and is best in class. Hopefully IMSC products are best in class also.
The market is acting crazy. Some of the stocks in my portfolio are getting good news and some are getting no news at all. It doesn't matter...they're ALL getting crushed. This is not the time to receive good news...like a TSA order. I'd hate to see an announcement of a nice order and watch IMSC get taken down with the rest of the market. Here's hoping that the announcement happens after the market stabilizes and the sellers stop screaming that the sky is falling.
Time to pay taxes again.
