“ current production is dragon silk. BAM 1 will be dragon silk too, but a more robust, higher yielding version.”
I believe everyone knows that and people are just using “bam1” to clarify they’re talking about the newer DS. But you never know. Maybe people were confused.
This is an email conversation between Ben and a shareholder from February 27th. He asked me to share this as it’s operative in the current discussion… it’s clear to me.
“Hello Ben,
I’m confused on what has been getting produced in small batches. Was the silk that was pictured in the previous pr a small batch of Dragon silk having nothing to do with the Bam 1 hybrid? Is production going forward going to only be Bam 1, near term anyway? Has there been any production going on prior to today’s announcement of deliverable silk to Kings Group, if so, is it a lower quality than what will be made using Bam 1? How far out are we from hearing of possible deliverables to KG?
Sorry for all the questions, but I think they are pretty much tied together. I hope you can clear it up for me.
Thanks in advance,”
Ben’s reply:
“The picture was Dragonsilk. They're continuing to produce Drangonsilk, As the BAM 1 colony grows, it will eventually phase out the Dragonsilk colony.
I'll ask management to provide a Kings Group update, as soon as possible.
Best regards,
Ben Hansel”
He’s been busy.
Page 18 sure looks like it would have boosted robustness.
It’s said that someone said, “it took us years to get that gum off our shoe” when they got rid of him.
There’s a rumor that they had to get a restraining order but I don’t know where that got started.
“ Which has been stated several times in the span of a decade... ”
Oh my goodness! Are you claiming that Kraig labs has attempted to make silk before and failed? Who knew? Besides everyone I mean.
I wasn’t aware that failed attempts somehow prove something is an impossibility!
Thank you for protecting us. We could have used your wisdom back when that idiot moderator was guaranteeing a great return, challenging anyone to a fight who dared contradict, and deleting every post he didn’t like!!!
Fortunately I knew he was an idiot and was immune to his promises of riches. But can you believe he now openly says the opposite as if we all forgot what a complete tool he is?
100kg is a guess. We obviously don’t know.
We are guessing at a production amount that will prompt a collaboration announcement.
Thanks for reposting the shareholder meeting btw
“ If they had of attached a pic with the pr you would have said the same thing. Proof”
The photo didn’t matter. We thought they were about to produce based on what Kim said. And Kim thought they were as well. Even though, later at the same meeting Kim said they were not rock solid and an unforeseen issue could come up.
We all know we thought we were here before more than once. And I said earlier today that there are no guarantees. There’s obviously more confidence and some are choosing to believe they are close to commercial quantities than ever before based on developments since the last attempt.
The Kings contract will take care of itself either way. If Kim is producing sufficient quantities to make sales and they are making money selling stuff, they’ll re-up. Regardless if he’s at the numbers the contract spells out or not.
“but it's still not a slam dunk that Bam1 will succeed.”
True. No one can guarantee anything. But, success isn’t totally dependent on BamBam trials. Don’t forget the new protocols learned from the Indian experts created the 25kg batch. BamBam can only improve those yields. If not, we still have that. And we’ve seen the results.
BamBam will only improve on that. And when the 4 hybrid is done, Son of BamBam will be even better!
“I'll believe it when I see it.”
I believe that’s the prevailing opinion as is evident by the trading volume. That’s the biggest tell.
No doubt EVERYONE will believe it when they see it. The “proof” is growing with each PR. Many longs had enough proof with the 25kg photo. Others will need more shipments to Spydasilk. Others will need Spydasilk to launch. Others may wait for earnings.
The big question is “what will he enough proof for the A-lister to believe it?” That’s the big one. I believe it will be when shipments are confirmed. And that won’t take metric tonnage quantities to prove it to them.
North Face, Adidas etc being the evidence that metric tonnage won’t be necessary. We know damn well their suppliers didn’t have it then and don’t now. They didn’t even have a 25kg batch.
That’s why I (and others) believe the production level that’s required for proof isn’t so huge. And therefore not so distant.
Two things are for sure: 1. we will know it when it happens…the volume will be many millions of shares traded. At least above 25 million.
2. What any of us think won’t matter. And if we’re down to arguing about whether there’s great news in 6 days, 6 weeks, or 6 months, I’d say we’re in a good spot.
“Kings group didn't ask for just 100kg and then we will wait till you fill other orders.”
Not what I said. Not even close. I said they prove a production timeline and other customers will risk collaboration announcements locking in deals while Kim scales up. They would know they’ll have to wait behind current obligations. And they will. Because it’s been proven that the A-listers have no trouble signing deals preproduction to lock in their place in line.
I’m well aware of past deals. Kim has something to prove before deals like that can be signed. We know he’s producing batches now because he said so, and Ben has confirmed with multiple shareholders that old DS batches are in production at the moment. The belief is that the batches currently being produced just may be enough to get someone to risk a collaboration announcement prior to metric tonnage production. Deals like that are made every day.
“3 to 4 months maybe your max but for me it would be my minimum.”
In 3-4 months they’ll be nearing metric tonnage if all goes as planned. That timeline was given by Kim in the Christmas letter. I’m not talking about 3-4 months and they’ll be filling orders for customers besides Kings. I’m saying 3-4 months at the longest before a collaborator inks a deal. The ability to fill the order will not be a prerequisite for signing a contract with Kraig labs. They’ll just need to see consistent, increasing batches getting filled at kings. They’ll sign then.
Maybe but impossible to know. We are definitely in a better place financially today. And in a better place in terms of shareholder confidence. Locals are behind us. Indian experts involved. Far more eyes on this project than in 2019.
Kim still needs that tipping point where the market goes from ignoring him to fighting to be first in line to do business. The dynamic shift is going to be very quick once it takes place. The day that happens, Kim can tell Kings to take that 6 rating and shove it up their asses. They’ll need Kim more than he needs them.
Maybe they get along famously, but if I were Kim, I’d be pissed for the public disrespect and those assholes had better fork their money over NOW if they don’t want me to walk away. Customers will be kicking down Kim’s door.
“I said we could be at a buck by the end of June…even without tonnage…”
Exactly. I think most are making the false assumption that the share price can’t move significantly skyward without mass production.
It certainly can. A huge return on this stock is not tied to a production quantity being achieved. It’s tied to the BELIEF that it CAN/WILL BE achieved.
The price moves up as the degree of certainty of future success increases. We don’t need metric tonnage for $1. Just the proof that it CAN/WILL happen.
“I said 100 kilos would be enough…”
I would think that’s plenty. To go from 25kg in December to 100kg in 3-4 months establishes a credible timeline.
Blue chip clothing manufacturing is a cut throat business. They all race to part of the next biggest thing. No doubt there’s an A-lister out there just waiting to make a joke out of everyone else’s spider silk products that never were.
No one wants the competition to get a jump on them. Kim makes a delivery of just the right amount and his phone will blow up with offers. Even if Kim tells them he’s 12 months from delivering 5 tons. They’ll want the exclusive deal locked up the second they think Kim has done it.
“You think bigger companies are willing to let that news out without confirmed production by kbl while still in trial mode. “
No doubt about it. The race is on as is evident by North Face, Adidas, & etc all announcing collaborations without any production to launch said products. They all want to be first. They went with the companies with the big bucks because they assumed they’d lead the pack. So we know they WILL announce beforehand.
The question is, what will be considered a credible production timeline.
The small batches that Kim says he’s producing for the clothing industry prior to launch of BamBam metric tonnage just may get one of the suitors to announce a collaboration.
It’s definitely not unthinkable. When Kim gives the next production update we’ll better be able to gauge a timeline.
We already know the metric tonnage won’t arrive til 3rd/4th quarter. I’m waiting to find out how big the small batches are and if that will be enough to convince any deep pockets to pull the trigger before tonnage is announced.
No matter what the timeline is, we’re only talking 3-4 months at worst.
The discussion was about overall cost basis. And you know that. Now. After making a complete fool of yourself. You should have let the topic die rather than reminding everyone of your greatest post ever.
you are better off to just stick to your incoherent rants during hot flashes. then you just seem crazy rather than stupid too.
You see.... no. I'm just not.
Here's a fun quiz... I buy 100 shares of XYZ at $1 per share. Then I buy another 100 shares of XYZ at $2 per share. What is my cost basis for the 200 shares?
Maybe you can make a spreadsheet and figure it out.
Now try that in reverse. Buy the $2 dollar shares first. Then the same amount of shares for $1. What answer do you get?
Was it the post where he didn't know how to calculate cost basis?
Whoops, my bad. That was you!
This is great... up all night drunk posting, then did exactly what i said to do by logging in with another screen name!
Go get a couple more hours in the rack. I think you're still drunk.
Now there it is!!!! Was thinking you were not as heated just yet. There goes the hot flash! LMAO this is way too easy.
And be careful on the "homo" comments. Both of BamBam's parents are homoz!
There are no roads. Don’t you remember Dimes telling us that? (or was it bridges? or both?)
And even if they’ve built them since, no doubt a typhoon will take them out soon.
Oh please cite the posts where I’ve said any of those things. LMAO
Well with any luck they’ll take little Jeffrey on their team.
“Little Jeffrey. I remember his name, not because he said, "I'm four years old," but because Jeffrey's mother said his name all 2500 miles of the trip.”
Another great post! Really, call Kim and get him squared away!
I think you should get on the phone with Kim ASAP and tell him he shouldn’t be in Vietnam for trials because you say they aren’t ready!
Really. I wonder if he knows what you know. You should do it. You won’t sound like a psycho at all. Promise.
You just can't get one right, dang it!
"Prodigy Silk will be headquartered in the Company’s recently announced facility in Lam Dong Province. The Company expects this facility to serve as the operational center for its spring production trials. Renovations of this facility are currently underway, and the Company expects it to be fully operational in time for the spring trials."

Yeah this is a big revelation. It had not occurred to me that the Indian experts would also be consulting on protein synthesis. I have a feeling that we just got a glimpse of what Kim was hinting at when he said it was "unimaginable 6 months ago". I really wasn't expecting that to be developing this early in the game.
Again, we have received another piece to the puzzle that only the adults in the room can understand. This is major!
You shouldn’t have put him in solitary so quickly. I had him identified as a future minion of yours from day one. Between his Facebook posts and psycho rants here, it was easy to identify him as a future crybaby.
Remember the old Bill Cosby routine about the woman flying with “little Jeffrey”? Here he is, all growed up!
Bam… and here come the children to whine and cry. Just as I predicted.
Nirmal Kumar is consulting with far more than just BamBam production. Take a close look at his work and see if he’ll be useful in protein synthesis, something I didn’t expect would begin this early.
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/267974556_The_silk_proteins_sericin_and_fibroin_in_silkworm_Bombyx_mori_Linn_-_A_review
“Recently, silkworm is being used as biofactory for the production of useful protein using the silk gland, which has promoted the technological development in sericulture. With the above background silkworm can be classified as a value added biomaterial for medical application, application of silk protein fibroin and sericin as a biomaterial and other seri-byproducts. The present paper overviews some important studies carried out on sericin and fibroin of silkworm, Bombyx mori Linn.”
Here's a fun fact... out of those 132 followers you're so proud of, why is it only you and Web who like your posts? no one else ever does. you'd think some would click it by accident sometimes. but no. it's just you and web. I remember the old days people used to ask your opinion. Now no one cares.
"Quit while you're behind"? Really? Who's behind?
EOT has far fewer followers but his posts actually have many upvotes. And he doesn't even give 2 likes to his own posts like you do.
I think you should create a bunch of screen names and start giving your posts a thumbs up more frequently. Then you won't seem like such a joke.
"This is obviously a really big time for Kraig Labs commercial Spider Silk!!!"
That sure seems evident to those of us who've been watching closely for years and years. When the broader market will take notice and how Kim chooses to let them know are the big question marks.
We already know with 100% certainty that there are 800lb gorillas out there waiting for this. Even if Jon had never mentioned having biweekly calls with a company "hanging in his closet" we can be certain they are waiting. Obviously North Face, Adidas, Nike are waiting on spider silk because they've said so. And Jeff Dorton may have a few Under Armour executives on his speed dial yet.
The big news I'm waiting for is when that "credible production timeline" is established for the big name to announce a collaboration. Kings launch will be nice, but they won't likely be the partner that wakes up Wall Street. We'll see. Be nice to be wrong about that.
"It seems as though there’s too much emphasis on our weekly PRs to investors as it
shows by the volume on expected pr days"
I'd prefer if PR days were unpredictable. It becomes bait for traders otherwise. Although, that can be good for longs as well if they are trying to chip away at their cost basis.
I'm expecting news this week but I won't flinch if it isn't THE news. It could be, but it could also not. Kim is building a narrative so that when THE news drops, there won't be loads of unanswered questions for the bears to feed on. Whatever sentiment is reflected in the share price at the close today won't affect my opinion in the slightest. I couldn't care less about the whims of the traders.
“Sure hope Kim has something good tomorrow to announce or we’re dead”
Why? The traders have gone elsewhere for the most part. If it’s perceived as another stepping stone, then only the usual children will panic.
“In the water as per the anemic volume shows .”
The anemic volume shows longs are holding and traders are ignoring and that KBLB is still a very obscure stock.
“The pps is all based on Kim’s PRs
as the last one amounted to nothing in the investors eyes.”
It always been news driven. Last PR was another piece to the puzzle. It only means nothing to those not watching closely.
It’s also a special day!
It will be more than twenty times. Especially after proving production. The big money won’t ignore KBLB forever.
They haven’t caught their attention yet but they will.
Look at the pissed off Bolt threads financiers…. They want their money back and they are going to notice KBLB very soon.
Bolt raises 347 million to make spider silk. They fail. They’ve had multiple rounds of financing. Still no spider silk. They ask for more money and they get a door slammed in their face.
So they go to the retail market. TO RAISE A MEASLY 35 million. That’s it. Wait… people gave them 347 million, they want 10% more and they get told to F off?
So…347 million, they lose it all, decide to beg the retail market for 35 million… and they get a valuation of 250 million? Really?
So… as Kim said… you do the math. These 347 million dollar investors want their money back and they will find out soon that tiny Kraig labs just did what they paid Bolt to fail at. They will call Kim and they’ll gladly get their money back on a company that actually produces once they see the results.
And that’s just Bolt’s disgruntled investors. Others will come to the realization that their $35,000 (by their own admission) per kilogram silk doesn’t stand a chance against Kraig’s $300 per kilogram silk.
“Luckily, I was able to expose his devious plan and save shareholders.”
At the shareholder meeting, just when we were about to give Kim all our money, some guy jumped out of a green van and pulled Kim’s mask off… only to reveal that it was really Old Man Smithers all along!!! Jinkies! That was you? How can we thank you? And we didn’t even give you a scooby snack!!!
lol
