Is this your point?
"Affiliate sellers must still comply with manner of sale restrictions and may sell no more each quarter than the greater of (a) the average weekly trading volume; or (b) 1% of the

People can be loyal in their fashion. Can't be helpful to pillory somone every other time he posts... when he used to post, which he'll not likely do again.
Five million shares sold over time gives the guy a payday; at least enough for dinner. Aren't there more shares where those came from?
This is just news, not a reason for questioning Kelly's integrity or goodness.
Is "may show" illegal?
Am not sure that the phrasing was about the year rather than the quarter. My apologies.

Per what I was told by the company spokesman, Virtra may show a tiny profit for 2007 -- despite the middle east deal not having come to fruition last year. Further, the increase in sales and inquiries has continued into the first quarter.
Today's downturn seems tied to the general downturn. And perhaps Imialover bailed.

lmialover, with an exception or two, the posters here avoid emotional, egotistical yada yada.
you are doing a service for us in the sense that folks who glance at the board (and will glance at the board when the next sale is announced) will read your impassioned perception of the company. But passion is not the same as wisdom. Almost everyone here is unhappy, not just with the price of the stock, but with Virtra's progress. We have reason to be unhappy, and you cannot be sure that your optimism is any more appropriate than the optimism felt by others years ago.
We are dealing with a firm that has failed to exploit a technological advantage. If Virtra has success, a purchase now will be seen as brilliant, a great investment. And I do wonder who bought half a million shares a couple of days ago, and where the trade for 1.25 million a bit earlier came from.
If any of those sales were from you... well, good luck, from the bottom of my heart.
A small matter, but I believe the 2 million shares paid to the tout sheeters was not from Virtra but from a shareholder. Or perhaps from a charitable organization like Meals on Wheels.
Can you spell "manipulation"? I thought so.

my guess was that he's striving for contracts and trying to protect what was promised. we've heard mention of the middle east for months, maybe years. a christmas surprise is possible, but I think none will materialize.
the action today seemed largely one-sided, with the last sales a matter of really small change, as if someone wanted to paint the tape. but the volume was relatively small, which suggests no great upward movement this year.

News soon? Suddenly, .012 - .015. A million dollars here, a million there; pretty soon, you're not going bankrupt.
Include Colorado heroine Jeanne Assam in a Virta promotion? That's about as likely as finding that any of the single men on this forum would be worthy of being her friend, let alone her husband. But it would be great publicity.
Is Ferris married?
The video is worth watching:

My small business was selling 45,000 shares over the last couple of weeks, for the tax value.
A small bird suggests that an expected international sale may or may not slip to first quarter. It is december 5, and I get tired of imagining that wonderful things will happen ... tomorrow, or next Tuesday. The potential slip suggests that we might go through the month with no further word, and my guess (another word for "belief") is that Virtra will have little to say as Christmas approaches.
The third point is merely to say that I am not tired of imagining that wonderful things will happen... next month, or before April. We should be able to rise from .01, given that the General is chasing contracts and intends to continue participating in trade shows that have a history of providing leads. To put this another way: I cannot believe that my mother gave birth to a total idiot.
Finished my small 2007 business with the market for VTSI today. I believe first, that we will not get another PR until next year; and second, that we have reason to hope that we'll see a higher price in 2008.
Even if the income is not great, why not arrange transactions -- or even create them -- to direct the market in a way that furthers your aims? Maybe this is not such an important subject, but I do look, when the last trade is so low, to see whether there was a lot of volume involved.
We are running pretty blind and learn what we can from small details.
the crowd laughs. <eom>
too bad. i assumed you'd have to call and beg a secretary for Haag's cell phone or such. next time.
Is a good review or salesman hype, or somewhere in between.
Wish to hear independent voices. But at least they may have attracted business for 2008.
Almost certainly. We look forward to your honest appraisal.
Seems that no one on this board is going to report on what we'd like to know and might know if we were there. What sorts of crowds are at the Virtra display in comparison to the crowds at the competition, and what are the people saying about the product and its competition?
At least sometimes, in the past, we knew that people were interested and that they had a reason to be interested. We could see and hear it for ourselves or through interpreters who seemed to be reporting honestly.

Maybe they deserve not to be subservient, but they will come under one or another country's protection; and not only or even particularly protection against another world power, but against potential aggression from Nigeria.
A little Christian country in that neck of the woods had best come to Uncle Sam.
The most obvious questions are sometimes not asked.
If the opportunity is great and if the integrity and commitment of management will overcome the problems over time and if the managers already have a bundle of options, why not (at least) publicly say "No" to more options; and why not purchase a few million shares privately, this quarter.
The story was always that Virtra is "different" from other penny stocks, is not a flim-flam operation being run for the benefit of insiders.
The lion is growling. I guess that's what a General sounds like.
It is one of the strangest CEO letters I've ever read, but okay, the man is committed to the cause.
"I am of the opinion, that if you are not helping to accurately reflect our recent progress and public image of our company and our stock, then please move on and leave the rest of the good people invested here to build and grow their investments."
sigh.. is it incorrect to think of the percentage of a spread as the important statistic?
you've been right, bylo, and not worthy of being avoided (as is KeithCracker, whose comments I tend not to open at all); but the egotism is unpleasant.
The effect of that spread (.011 to .014) is to shut down trading. Or maybe the spread is not a cause, but just evidence of so few traders, with the market makers particularly unsure of the post-Thanksgiving direction.
"The stock option grant disappointed me."
Virtra has two things going for it. The General's integrity, and (perhaps) Ferris's mind. Criticism may inhibit the company from providing future options unless those options are tied to a significant appreciation in the share price.
am not sure how to interpret your comment.
Are you saying that you know he is sitting there and will not take your call? If so...
Does he have a reason to avoid you, in particular?
Is he sitting in despair and wondering if it's possible to jump out of a basement window?
And I wonder if they're holding on to the numbers in the hope that they can report a deal at the same time as they report.
Is holding on to numbers for such a purpose ... legal?
"I find it interesting that we have hit the anniversary ... and the free-trading float has barely increased."
Uh huh.
Although I am fighting depression, I forgive you.
Large investors cannot unravel their shares without pain and then more pain, as the sales slide the price even more, even while end-of-year tax selling kicks in.
The firm is expecting large checks and is chasing deals of various kinds. Number of outstanding shares? Something on the order of 110 million plus.
Success is possible, and if it comes, we're well above two cents. The culture's lack of practical training is costly on a lot of fronts, and some people know this and will turn to Virtra.
Rah rah. Sigh.
"Army," not "Amry." Are you worth 2 million shares from a private party or aren't you? Please get it together.
The sentence "These exclusive systems have attracted the interest of many" is weak, as is the paragraph. Couldn't you read through the press releases and put some punch into the story? You need to focus your attention on the whole story and then rewrite the piece repeatedly, not just put some words together and say, "Okay, done!" Several different kinds of buyers are involved now.
Do Board members agree that the technology is superior to the low-end systems? Maybe we need to write the releases.
It takes such a long time to succeed.
Mr. Kelly Jones, I believe the amount owed to Duchess is not all that much. A company breaker? If so, there isn't much of a company to break.
Would love to hear from you, not for inside information (of which, you say, you have none), but for an indication of the smell that is wafting into your nose. Are you bullish, Mr. Jones? What IS that aroma?
