it is curious that he would just blurt out such a denial when the subject hadn't even been breached.
it's his idiotic way to claim that phone cameras are only good for nude selfies without actually saying it. he is stupid enough to think that no one will see through that transparent act.
Wildlife photography is far more demanding than any smartphone could handle. I'm glad yours meets your needs
But, you could do a nude selfie with your wildlife camera if you wanted to?
i suspect the wildfile in phud's photography is actually himself in the wild, free the constraints of the liberal msm, ie in the nude. i think he protests too much that he doesn't take them for a reason.
Usable VR is literally right around the corner. When the display becomes virtual, that's when old-fashioned PC's start to follow the digital camera trajectory in earnest.
no way, ios doesn't support mouse so no serious content creation can be done on it.
So I guess you could say that "cameras is cameras"?
... if you were an antagonistic douche who would rather perpetuate an imaginary feud than accept cold hard facts.
Still bitter is see. Just having a little fun. You should be grateful for the education you got. You really needed it.
yep, that's the way to remove the conditional in that if statement ...
When you control a short we dictate how much it goes down- long investors will sell off feeding into our hands when faced with losing everything they have. When faced with the bleak reality this stock will never go back up to these kool aid levels EVER AGAIN people will run for the hills. People have been running and they have been since the Sep peak. This PPS could be sliced in half within like I said 45-60 days mark my words tops 90 days and the burn factor will multiply faster than since Sept.
just for historical accuracy of some of the posters here.
Yes, the average person dosent [sic] think that way.
Tesla was suppose [sic] to be the future..with gas pumps expecting to be $5 per gallon..
you put down the average person who can afford a $85K car but you can't even use proper grammar. you must be really smart not to have bought a tesla. all those tesla owners i see in menlo park, mountain view and san francisco streets must be really stupid for working at google, facebook, twitter and having the money to afford that car.
going back to sub $100..oil too cheap...
Talk to me when gas goes back to $3.50..until then..tsla is toast
so people buy a $80K+ electric car to save gas money. you do realize if one drives 10K a year at 30mpg, a difference of $1 difference in gas price is roughly $350/year?
With FPGA cards that interfaced with Xeons over PCIe.
There was no modification of the Xeon devices let alone the x86 cores
yet again mr chipguy misses the forest for the trees. so msft chose to use fpga cards over high latency /high power pcie links to implement new computing units even though they had the option to add fpga blocks to their x86 based cpus. how stupid of them.
You dont [sic] get it!
Of course you are not going to customize the CPU or GPU via the FPGA.
I don't think you do either. How do you think Microsoft gets 2x bing performance at %10 power increase with an FPGA in their system?

also this:
Since the SoFIA 4G solution does not yet have a firm release schedule, some white-box players believe that the sample may not be distributed for development until the fourth quarter and if such a schedule turns out to be true, it would be better for them to turn back to ARM solutions.
More than 100 chips in or headed for production have taped out using FinFET-based process technologies, according to EDA tool vendor Synopsys Inc.

from digikey:
PC shipments in 1Q15 may fall over 20%, say upstream suppliers
...
As for Intel, the sources expect the CPU giant's PC business to be impacted by the weak demand; however, its server and Internet of things (IoT) product shipments will remain strong
10 nm product from "multiple sources"
i wonder if that includes intc.
45-60 days market cap will be halved.
just checking some past claims. jan 15 price was roughly $192; now it's almost 6% higher instead of $96.
Intel reportedly to delay launch of 14nm Skylake desktop CPUs
The delayed launch of Skylake processors may aim to avoid overlapping sales with previous platforms, indicated the sources.
I thought Intel said Skylake would not be delayed for that reason.
well, they are under no competitive pressure to improve their notebook/desktop processors; i am surprised they are not delaying it further and releasing it this year at all.
I like to keep my data usage low.
you mean cellular data usage, yes? If so, doing this at a place with wifi shouldn't increase your data usage, yes?
Intel just invested $24.8 million in. http://microcapresearch.com/vuzix/
From what I read Intel know owns 30% of VUZI
the market cap of VUZI was 47.5M US$ at closing friday and Intel priced them at 82.67M US$
tsmc process news:
In addition, Liu revealed that TSMC is scheduled to move its 16nm FinFET process to volume production in mid-2015. The process will see 11 customer designs taped out by the end of 2014, and nearly 60 designs are scheduled to tape out by year-end 2015, Liu said.
TSMC's 16nm node technology will be widely adopted in the production of handset baseband chips, application processors, consumer SoCs, graphics processors and CPUs, Liu added.
As for TSMC's 10nm process technology, trial production is scheduled to kick off by the end of 2015 and enter volume production in 2016, according to Liu.

of course you will have to excuse the bogosity in the article ...
256 billion bits on each of 32 layers, or 32GB on a single dye[sic]
i wonder if that includes making high end arm chips on their fabs too. should give tsmc/samsung a run for their money if it does. i wonder if apple will make a10 with intel 10nm process?

Intel will finally bring SoFIA, a competitive smartphone product, to market in early 2015
can someone explain how this is so? isn't sofia a 486 level core manufactured on tsmc process with only 3g modem?
i think the problem is the step child treatment of the mobile socs. it's certainly not his fault that he wasn't given access to the latest process. merging mobile with pc processor group will not necessarily solve the problem if the parents favor one child over the other. actually this is probably a bad move because there will be one person responsible from both groups and one will get more attention, more resources, first access etc.
they should have made mobile more independent not less and given it equal footing in the fab access. we'll see how this turns out but i don't think this is as good a move as most make it to be.
why is a two chip solution needed
I don't think anyone has integrated the RF (radio) yet on the same chip. Even qcom's parts are two chip: one g/cpu+baseband, one for rf.
I really don't get the point of this chipset. The only thing intel is contributing 3g baseband design; the cpu core, the foundry is coming from somewhere else and the radio is purchased. Also what's the next step? putting intel 486 rtl on external foundry? how does intel make money out of these products, other than being another "fabless" company?
The main reason was the missing integration of their modem. Otherwise they would now be a major player in mobile phones already. We'll see how easy it'll be for Qualcomm and the likes to integrate their modems on a Finfet based process
obviously you didn't notice the unintended sarcasm in your post. for your information intel's 7260 baseband is a tsmc 65nm part where as qcom's comparable modem is on tsmc 20nm. awesome job for intel being ahead in process...
also it seems intel's first 14nm modem 7460 would be coming out in '16. maybe qcom and the likes are not the only ones who would be having trouble with putting a modem on finfet?
how dare you sarcastically disagree with game theory?
10nm, it will wave the foundry white flag of surrender and come over to Intel.
yep, if that doesn't work out, there is always 7nm.
Apple Is Designing Next-Generation Processors on Both Samsung and TSMC Processes
it seems apple is hedging its best on first foundry finfet. let's see who wins that race.

Windows Server on ARM will flop like RT, says Intel
this is important because google, fb, amazon etc. run windows server on their 100+ million cpus in their backend (and not their self customized/compiled version of linux).
Sounds like production will be too late for Apple in 2015
how do you figure? the article says:
TSMC anticipates 16FF+ volume ramp will begin around July in 2015
apple could tape-out their design to both samsung & tsmc and see which one can deliver the wafers for october sale.

What Chip Will Power the Apple Inc. iPad Pro?
http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2014/11/05/what-chip-will-power-the-apple-inc-ipad-pro.aspx
there is not even a suggestion that an intel chip might power it. a 12+ inch tablet geared towards businesses with an apple/arm chip, with free microsoft office on it; who would've thunk it?
Intel Core M platform to account for below 10% of notebook shipments in 2015, say sources
core-m < 10%
When they say core-m is that all broadwell or just a configuration of broadwell?
Skylake processor delay to weaken Windows 10 notebook demand
skylake pushed back. regardless, i shall wait. even fpga sp&r is acceptable on my sb notebook.

don't get your panties in a bunch. you are interpreting what he said incorrectly, or misunderstanding what he said:
adding one-quarter to one-third of a percentage point to the annualized growth rate of the gross domestic product
he is saying iphones are adding to the delta in gdp so you need to calculate percentage of iphone sales to change in gdp, not to the gdp itself.
