Everyone is jumping on this stock ... Ian Cassel article 399 followers ... nice
Wow, this is going to be awesome... The Ethiopian rail authority said it expected that, when functional, the railway system would "enable the nation to transport 6 million tonnes of freight, which in the past has only been impossible by truck".
The Value of Allana will soar, with the Railroad, the cost to market via Railroad will greatly enhance the profit margin .. This is like holding a triple AAA bond that pays a high dividend.. imho .. I am really not looking forward to a buyout, I would rather a buildout.. Mike
My gut feel says there will be an announcement by Friday .. only a gut feel .. nothing more ... imho
Yea, off by two days ... I notice that trading this morning was extremely light and within the past hour over 400k shares traded . interesting ..
Looking forward to next quarter earnings in 4 weeks, if this hits 45 million in sales and eps of 4-5cents , this is a screaming buy.. hold this is a 10 bagger for sure .. imho
Allana Potash (ALLRF.PK) gave an interesting stage presentation discussing its potash deposit in Ethopia, a mining friendly jurisdiction. 22% of the stock is in strong hands with 17% held by Liberty Metals and Minerals and 5% held by the International Finance Corp. (World Bank). This is IFC’s first potash investment and Liberty’s first public investment.
Toronto Money Show: Dennis Gartman, Petrobras, Allana Potash, And Tahoe Resources
The new 43-101 report only covers 40% of the property with a measured and Indicated Resource of 673 million tonnes grading 18.7% KCL and an Inferred Resource of 596 million tonnes grading 25% KCL. The deposit has SOP potential as well which will be evaluated down the road.
Unlike most potash deposits, this one is close to the surface (100-300 meters) and amenable to open pit mining. The temperature jumps to 40 degrees C during the day allowing for solar evaporation ponds which will result in significant cost savings.
A feasibility study has been started with an estimated 3rd Quarter 2012 delivery and the first production is expected at the end of 2014. 2 drills are currently turning on site with the expectation of enlarging the resource estimate. India has committed $300 million or half of what Ethiopia needs to construct a railroad from the port in Djibouti to existing rail lines.
Wow , only ALLRF only 200 shares traded ... nice
Dang wrong again ...
Will see over 1.00 today .. imho
Argentina potash Tonnage up 117% explains the interest in owning this stock , especially if there will be a spin off of the Argentina holdings..IMHO
Generally the AAA will be higher in price because of its exchange rate to the listed USD ALLRF stock. Your USD will buy more AAA, then ALLRF because of the exchange rate .
Very Interesting News ... Expert Analysis
The Energy Report Interview with Amine Bouchentouf (10/6/11) "Allana Potash Corp. is very interesting. The company has operations in Ethiopia, which gives you a unique access point to Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia—some of the world's fastest-growing economic blocks. You'd be surprised to know that the infrastructure in Ethiopia is world-class, with modern port, railway and road infrastructure. In addition, the mining laws are very friendly. Finally, the operating costs are low since the potash deposits in Ethiopia are near the surface, only about 100 meters (m) from the surface."
Jaret Anderson, Mackie Research (10/4/11) "Allana Potash Corp. could see positive implications from the latest project development update from South Boulder Mines, which announced an updated Joint Ore Reserves Committee-compliant mineral resource estimate overnight, increasing the Measured and Indicated tonnage by 117% from its previous estimate. . .we can make comparisons between the latest resource figures for South Boulder and those of Allana; Allana still looks good on a relative value basis, as its total in-situ KCl resource stands at 244.5 Mmt., which is more than double that of South Boulder's 105 Mmt. Allana's potash grade of 19.3% KCl is very similar to South Boulder's potash grade of 18.6%. . .Allana's scoping study is expected to be released during Q411."
AAA is the Canadian exchange shares at there currency, ALLRF is the American shares traded in USD.,
Quite possible that the stars are aligning ... First, move to TSE, then Shareholders rights plan .. poison pill, then BNP Financing agreement... possible spin of Argentina property, this looks like a deal is about to be announced .. imho
P.S. God Bless Steve Jobs, a great Entrepreneur...
good luck with that???
Looking to double my position in the next 6 weeks ...
This is good news all around, bigger news coming around the corner very soon .
Strange, I purchase shares today of ALLRF, and they never showed up on record.. Not sure what that means ..
Yes, your correct, i don't know where i got that number, it should be 43 cents.
Wow 80% drop since Mid August, I think this might be the largest drop in all my holdings. Sorry to see this company stock get trashed. I am Long and will be buying, soon ,. I have a price target, and i think we might see it this week or early next week. I really believe the issue is many people got into this stock at 20 cents this time last year, and now are unloading in a very undecided American economy,. ..Golden Opportunity coming up soon...IMHO..Mike
I can tell you from the trading today .. a trade of 3500 shares went through and was never shown on the market .. someone is driving to low to buy .. Hold tight... Imho ..
Wow only a little over nine months before construction .. this is awesome .. great company . buy and hold ..
TSX Exposure ....
Eric Lam, Financial Post · Sept. 10, 2011 | Last Updated: Sept. 10, 2011 5:12 AM ET
Junior potash developer Allana Potash Corp. has moved to the Toronto Stock Exchange from the TSX-Venture exchange. Allana will retain its "AAA" trading ticker. "The new listing should garner Allana some added exposure from investors who shy away from the Venture exchange," Richard Kelertas, analyst with Dundee Capital Markets, said in a report. Allana is already quite a liquid stock, with a three-month average daily volume of about 2 million shares, but Mr. Kelertas still expects that number to rise. Mr. Kelertas rates Allana a buy with a target price of $3.05, the top pick among junior potashers. "With the stock coming off 39% since releasing the resource update (and 48% since its 52-week high of $2.43), and the company's fundamentals stronger than they have ever been, we think investors could be well served," he said. The company joins several other junior potash producers, including Western Potash, Karnalyte Resources Inc., IC Potash Corp. and MagIndustries Corp.
Amazing ... how many miles a day ... lol I think this might be the most impressive work of machine and man i have seen in a long time /..
What where seeing is a lot of small investors that bought for .30-.40 cents , selling, maybe because lost of job situation , or debt consolidation.. Economy is bad so those without a financial cushion will dip into there investments.. I have seen this before... and we can expect another bad year in the economy , nothing will change and the jobs situation gets worse .. imho o
If there is going to be a off take agreement , getting on the Big Board first , was a good move... IMHO, will see something soon.. ( I am going out on a limb, I think within the next 5 weeks.. )) Not pumpimg stock, even if it triples , I am a long term holder on this company .. Mike
News came out late in the day ..
With Allana going to the big board , many institutions and mutuals can begin to buy .. for clients ...

Indian Investors eyeing Ethiopia ..

Indian investors eye Ethiopian agriculture
By Groum Abate
Addis Ababa, Aug 29 (IANS) A group of Indian investors are visiting Ethiopia with interest in the east Afrian nation's rapidly growing farm sector.
The delegation of over 30 Indian investors, led by Ramakrishna Karuturi, founder and managing director of Karuturi Global limited company, visited Addis Ababa this past week to expand India's foothold in the agricultural sector.
Subhash Chandra, second secretary of the Indian embassy in Ethiopia, said India is a leading nation in innovation.
"Indian technology is appropriate, affordable and valuable and this can help Ethiopia accelerate its development. Indian investment in Ethiopia currently stands at $4.5 billion and is dominated mostly by floriculture and agriculture," Chandra told IANS.
Ethiopia's exports to India are mainly agricultural exports with the bulk of them consisting of pulses and gum. The most lucrative of Ethiopia's exported produce is coffee. India's biggest exports to Ethiopia come from the fields of construction, education and electronics.
The two countries relationship however has diversified to other sectors, as Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh noted in May during the India-Africa summit held in Addis Ababa.
Manmohan Singh announced India would support the development of a new Ethio-Djibouti Railway line by offering $300 million. India also provided loans for sugar projects in the country through the Export-import bank of India which opened its offices in Addis Ababa last year.
Sheila Sudhakaran, assistant secretary general of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), said the visiting delegation came from a diverse area and includes not only machinery, agriculture, and health, but all issues related to farming.
"FICCI is working in many sectors in Africa but mostly in farming. Our fist summit was held in New Delhi in 2008, and then we had another one in Mumbai in 2010. We also organised a workshop on contract farming in India in 2010 as well. Our relationship with Ethiopia is primarily related to agricultural development," she said.
Eyesuswork Zafu, president of the Ethiopian Chamber and Sectoral Associations, said: "If it wasn't for the period when Ethiopia was under the communist military junta regime and when India had its period of introspection, business ties between the two countries would have been much larger than it is today."
He added that the chambers of commerce of the two countries have already signed agreements to "enthusiastically renew their commitment".
