Almost painful?
Who sees buying opportunity? Not the BOD!
Steven isn't buying, he's probably selling judging by the looks of things.
Awk..great post, but just because the tech succeeds doesn't mean Wave will, and it sure looks like it won't at this point. The stock price just doesn't make sense if things are going to happen. Instead, those of us who believed way too much are suffering big time while Steven and the BOD sit back and watch their results play out. Disgusting.
And I thought my original shares 10 years ago, at $4/share pre-split, were good! I even remember being able to get some at $2.30 pre-split and thinking that was a total steal. AND...I remember 2 weeks ago buying some at $1.15. I must be a total idiot to be in this stock.
Can someone please tell me why the BOD, especially Steven, is not buying shares at these levels? Let me guess, diversivification, blah, blah, blah.
By the time the world figures out they need to use their TPMs, somebody else's product will be getting the revenues. I'm starting to finally think that's a real possibility at this point. Call me slow (with way too much dreaming).
If nobody on this board can even address my simple questions, I don't see how we can even get back to 50 cents. There should not be this kind of confusion.
So if he was talking about the J3, exactly what came out in the Q or letter that allowed the share purchasing again? They didn't report anything about the J3, unless I totally missed it. Why is this so damn hard to understand if its such a MAJOR part of what we've been waiting for???
I'm confused...please explain this quote to me> "We also believe the specific issues that initiated the trading restriction for the company's directors, officers, employees and consultants who have knowledge of the terms surrounding the December 2007 settlements have been addressed with the public disclosures of last week."
This isn't talking about the J3/2, right? Cause I have yet to see what we got out of this, unless I missed it.
As far as I know, we atleast have the 5 settlements to show up in next Q, right?
If this was simply a revenue hit (which it may not really be in the long run), I would've expected to this to only retreat back to 37 cents at worse. Fundamentally, nothing has really changed, right?
I'm surprised nobody replied to my earlier messages on PDS and its possible purpose. I'll take it that it was too stupid to answer and am happy with that. ;o)
So the question is...is this decline strictly from confusion? After all, nothing materially bad has really happened and the revs should show up in the next Q, correct? Sure is one hell of a drop for confusion (and a sorry arse CEO letter).
Well, I needed my annual exam anyway! ;o)
"...the licensing revenues will keep on coming". How exactly are you figuring this? Almost all to date have been one-time payments, correct? And how many of the little guys are really going to pay big money?
The more I think about this, the more this patent seems terribly mismanaged. I hold out hope that I'm just not in-the-know.
Besides, what can we possibly purchase with $25 million but some risky opportunity?
If my earlier post was stupid, its okay to tell me. ;o)
My thinking was that the PDS venture was separated so it would be a little cleaner to part with, or sell it. Perhaps a company like Phoenix Technologies would like it? Just a coincidence I suppose.
Like most, I still believe in right and wrong, and we will eventually see the 'right' side of revenues. But with these types of companies, etc, trust seems hard to come by.
Anyone care to indulge my racing thoughts? :O)
This is probably stupid, but I don't like the vibe lately, so the mind is running wild....
With this venture, Phoenix Digital Solutions, is there any way possible that PTSC and its shareholders go down the drain, while mgmt continue to live on thru Phoenix Digital Solutions and subsequent revs? Is it possible the J3 settlement and others could circumvent PTSC shareholders?
I definitely don't want to spread fear, but at the same time I'm almost flabbergasted at the 10Q, perhaps unnecessarily. I'm sooo confused! ;o)
Is it just me, or is the real reason I bought this stock (ie. the real pay day for a wonderful patent) about gone? After reading that letter, I just don't get the warm, fuzzy feeling on any meaningful licenses to come. Anyone?
D&O...we're starving to death because we've been walking ALONG the beach instead of into the water! I believe we've covered the whole coast by now.
In reality, however, Steven actually has us in the desert and he keeps guiding us to mirages, and not an actual oasis! Doh!
PS. Leaving for another cruise tomorrow. I don't think it will have the same affect as 1999 though, ha!
wavx888....
I don't have full membership so I can't reply directly.
I have XP Pro and as indicated earlier, no FDE. I will keep an eye open though.
I must be insane, because I bought my first large chunk of shares in many, many years. Of course, I'll have no idea where to sell and will probably watch it disappear, ha.
TheWiz
Genz2: no FDE and not sure of anyone else getting one...don't think its offered to us yet as a choice but that's something I never thought about keeping an eye on here. I will now. ;o)
Hey D&O! :o)
I have a lot of stuff I need to install before I contemplate the finger reader. When I do, I report anything I come across, etc.
TheWiz
My new D630 caused a smile...
Well, you know that I'm just as disgruntled as most, and am also concerned that our potential pie is getting smaller by the minute, but thought I'd pass this little tidbit along cause it stirred that old optimistic feeling buried in side....
Okay, so I know this is not new or that big of deal, but here goes. I work for the 2nd largest software company in the world (starts with an 'O', ha) and just got my new D630 laptop. Anyway, we use a thing called 'MyDesktop' that gives you the details of software installed, what's recommended by corporate, and what's available. The recommended list is always very small and mine just has 3 things on it. And behold, what do I see? This >>>>>
>>>>Dell D630 Fingerprint reader(Embassy Trust Suite) 2.1.2.25-Language Neutral
Again, probably no biggie but its always good to be reminded that is real, ha!
Back to being disgruntled.

Knowing this long history, I can't help but think someone like Infineon is going to end up eating our lunch, especially after reading that last article. If the 'openness' question can be answered by competitors, why would anyone choose lil' ole Wave? Am I simplying things too much? Just curious where my thoughts are off track or on track, cause lord knows I can't seem to trust my CEO's words.
TheWiz
Hey D&O!! Good to see you're still around wasting your time too. ;o) Does this stock frustrate one or what?
You make the excellent point...this is one nightmare of a broken record. I feel like I've heard the news, the posts, the excuses a thousand times and it should NOT be that way after 10 years! Should it?
And what's worse, there's a part of me that wants to buy more stock to salvage my retirement fund which has a WAVX B/E of about $15/share. Yeah, Steven better have an extra room for me and the family to move in soon!
Anyway, take care!
TheWiz
Wavx lawsuit check??
I just got an email from a family friend who said they received a check for over $2,000 (which may represent most of their holdings) yesterday due to a Wavx lawsuit settlement.
Does anyone know what this is? The only thing I could think of was some scam of someone trying to buy the shares or something?
Ideas?
Thanks,
TheWiz
Devil's advocate.....how do we know there wasn't some decision in the past week that really put Wave on the outside looking in (some absurd thing like Msft telling DELL they will be supplying the same software that Wave does, for example)?
After all, according to most cheerleaders, we were supposed to be breakeven Q2, remember? Or was that the year before, or the year before that, and so on.
I'm just saying that we've been around this dog a long time, and if things are better than ever, than why are we down to these ridiculous levels? Just doesn't add up, and I appear to be playing the fool as each year passes. I know its shame on me when you fool me twice, but about 30 times? ;o)
Happy Holidays!
TheWiz
Yeah, I'm expecting us to get back to the $2 level once this trial is out of the way, you agree? At one time, I thought $5 was a good number, but $2-$3 seems more reasonable until we hear about future plans. Plus, I think the settlements have been more of the one time variety and not the annual payments as first expected. Do I still remember that correctly?
Of course, it sure was fun the first time running to high $2s, from 7 cents. ;o) And like WAVX, I didn't sell any, and instead, bought more when it dropped to $1! LOL I'll get the hang of it someday!
Have a great weekend!
TheWiz
As predicted more than 7 months ago, we're already looking to the future, again! Remember when people were being chastised for laughing at the confident notion of others that Q2 was breakeven??!! Remember? Well, here we go again! Granted, things are looking great, but been there done that too.
.
So now its Q4 is breakeven? And in 3 months, it will be Q2 2008. ;o)
Sorry to post, but I just get a kick out of this...call it 10 years of disillusionment.
Go Wave!
TheWiz
Well, since the so called "latest" indications of break even were 2Q07, I expect, any day now, the new "latest" indications. How soon before someone starts telling us all that 4Q07 was always the real break even time frame!
.
Just have to laugh at this for a bit longer I hope!
Happy New Year in the meantime!
TheWiz
Pre-split....Jaybeaux=Thanks! Snackman and others=wrong!
.
Why are some of you trying so damn hard to act like the RS never happened, and criticizing people who want to remind you about the real 'value' of their investment. It seems like you don't have alot of confidence when you try to explain away facts.
Snackman states: "No one cares what the “pre-split” price was a month or two ago." You wanna bet?
If you were invested in this stock pre-split, you better care. It's absolutely absurd to think you can just ignore it. When you've become accustomed to looking at this stock under $1 for years, you get real excited when it hits $2.70, but you MUST remember that its 90 cents pre-split, and now your beak-even is 3x higher. That is just apples to apples. Stop trying to explain it away. I agree that we may get to certain points faster, but the plain, simple fact is a $3 rise in price is really only raising my net worth the same as $1 did before. For new buyers, it obviously doesn't matter, and Snackman likes to mix the two and pretend the RS never happened, for whatever reason. I don't understand why you think someone is bashing the stock when they mention what the pre-split price was, when they are just comparing apples and apples. It doesn't matter how fast we move either, breakeven is breakeven, and for pre-split purchases, that's a price 3x higher.
.
By the way, when do the posts start talking about 'Next year is the year'. ;o) Just kidding.
.
TheWiz
PS. I'm very happy to see the slow steady move too!
Maybe I've missed it but aren't we still seeing one-time payments? I haven't had time to go thru all of the details, but everyone seems to be calculating pps as if these are recurring revenues. Am I missing something?
Thanks!
TheWiz
Anyone else get the feeling that this will basically trade flat until the court date next year? Unless revenues are somewhat shocking, it just appears this will trade in the .80-1.00 range until court ruling draws closer. Comments?
TheWiz
Thanks funny man! ;o)
Actually, I'm in the same boat as you but was curious as to other thoughts out there to make sure I wasn't missing something.
Thx again! I'll go back to hiding now. :o)
TheWiz
Thanks wavxmaster! So, if we are basically guarranteed another $7-$10 million annually just on that, why are we still sitting just above 70 cents per share pre-split? Is that already built into the price at this point?
Just curious.
Thx again!
TheWiz
Question from transcript.........
First off, thank you so much Unclever!
Secondly, I have a question based on this paragraph>
"Let me talk a little bit now about the enterprise customer, because our business model is really driven under two paths. One is a licensing relationship with the chip vendors and the PC manufacturers, and we collect a little less than half a dollar per machine on an average basis per machine that’s shipped. Once the machines are shipped - and today we have forecasts north of fifty million units in the market from the product managers who have selected our software for the different vendors who are using our software today - once those machines end up in the hands of the actual end enterprise then we provide a collection of both client software and server software that can be used by the enterprise to manage these devices. And that software does backup and recovery of keys, strong authentication to the network, we’re deploying our first capabilities for remote management of the machines, so that I can reach out and change the codes remotely without having to go physically visit a computer, so we’re providing I think a very strong suite of capabilities for the enterprise to take advantage of this new hardware security technology that’s in every machine. "
1. He's indicating that Wave will definitely be getting revenues from those 50 million units?
2. How long is that forecast you think? 3 years?
Any additional comments to clear this up?
Thx in advance!
TheWiz
Why? Because we are still sitting at pathetic 80 cents per share pre-split. Don't get me wrong, the quarter was wonderful, and I'm starting to get that excited feeling once again, but let's face it, we're at 80 cents/share right now. Even when we hit $3 ($1 pre-split), that is still far from alot of people's break-even I believe.
Anyway, I'm still liking it!
TheWiz
First off, Mike, I can't thank you enough, especially if this really, really goes up to a $1. ;o)
Secondly, will someone please play devils advocate and tell me why this stock shouldn't go over 20 cents/share. I have a habit of holding on too long, but my simple calculations put this easily over 40 cents.
Anyone?
Is this right thinking...(warning: amateur hour here, ha)
Even if we spread these earnings out over the 380 million shares (where did this come from anyway?), and a PE of 10, we're still talking around $0.43/share, right? I will certainly take that, and I have to believe the revenues are only going to increase with our latest moves.
Comments?
Thanks wash68 for posting, but that would be the same SKS who basically promised $19 million some years ago, right? ;o) All I'm saying is I'll believe it when I see it, as Wave has made me a cynic lately. (I have to admit though those buried excited feelings started to shake alittle bit while reading your words 'huge jump'). LOL
Thx again!
TheWiz
So, is anyone going to take some off the table for now and trade the effects of the RS ?
Hope all the logical folks are doing well out there! Good to see you posting D&O!
TheWiz
What in the hell is going on with this thing? Any ideas?
Hi All!
Basically been out of pocket for the last month. I see there's been plenty of new agreements, but where's the money? Have I missed anything pertaining to the dollars involved? What/when are we expecting?
Thx!
Chet
Thanks Cosmo for your opinion. Much appreciated!
So, is everyone thinking that when we RS, like most companies, drop back to our trading prices now, or atleast 50%. Just wondering if this is a good time to trade it. Still not sure if I would approve the RS. What are some of the points you all are using to make your decision? Is staying on the Nasdaq worth the risk of losing another 50% in SP ? Or, am I assuming too much.
Thx,
TheWiz
PS. I have to admit that it's hilarious that Snackman got kicked off his 'own' board.
Hi All!
Just back from a very long cruise, and saw the news about the reverse split, and the very good news on STM. Can someone point me to a post discussing the reverse? I always thought the sentiment on the board that any reverse split would be very bad, and was wondering if that was the same reaction. My initial reaction is to just let it drop off of Nasdaq, instead of doing the reverse and watching it come back below a buck anyway.
Thx in advance!
TheWiz
I can't believe how much I'm actually looking forward to Monday!!! ;o)
