AMLN up about 5% today.
Date with FDA next week...10/22. Possible "sell the news" after that, then load up for 1/12 PDUFA?
$AMLN, nice action today. Bottomed 8.03 on 10/4, now $9.52
PDUFA 1/28/12
CYCC $1.25. Price action here very boring, but seems to have a strong base in low 1.20's. I like its chances to run at least to 1.40's. For aggressive traders, maybe 1.80's. This just from eyeballing a 6 month chart.
This has given ample time to build position at good price. Still have chance to buy at attractive price.
$ZGNX (4.46, up 15%) breakout today, after deep dip post earnings.
Phase III data release expected by end of Q3 2011.
Today's news likely related to powerful move up;

New BOD member has experience in partnerships, acquisitions, licensing.
Company is relatively low on cash. Perhaps partnership/seeking buy out in lieu of dilution is hope based on above news.
CLDX ($4.24) Up on low volume.

AVNR (4.38) Active pre-market, up 3.5% after late rally to close last week. Stock was up 9.3% Thursday on much higher than normal volume.
No news that I see.
Ok, missed that. Do you think this runs up, or no mojo?
CLDX (3.92) Sheff, how patient are you going to be with this one?
Do you have an opinion about the apparent lack of interest in this one? When one looks at their pipeline, its remarkable how low the market cap is, imo. Why has the market not bought in here so far?
CYTX nice breakout on down market day.
I feel lonely pumping this one on this board. Still has lots of potential, imo.

I'm not a technician, but one I know thinks CYTX chart is very bullish. The above chart site also has it very bullish across the board. Word is if in, take profits at 9.50 if you are conservative or hang on if aggressive, looking for breakout of 10.01 and new highs.
AVNR nice buy there. Looks like its in profit zone now after two days up. I bought based on your rec. I'm taking quick profit, looking for dip to re-buy.

LCI (5.38) Low risk stock for quick trade, imo.
Waiting for FDA to complete inspections then approval is likely for morphine.
In the following presentation, management states FDA are now conducting inspections of production facilities. I think this goes up at least $1 on approval. 1-4 weeks, my estimate.

CYTX (6.32) That's two days closing at price not seen since last May.
Listen to this presentation (made yesterday at Citi conference):
http://www.veracast.com/webcasts/citigroup/healthcare2011/34215300.cfm
Pay attention to statements regarding limited regulatory approval for no-option congestive heart failure patients in Europe. Cytori's product that processes the patients own fat to extract stem cells, "Celution", is in many European hospitals now.
CFO bought $100,000 dollars of this stock at $6.74 in July of '09. That was 12 days after 6 month data point of APOLLO study. Coincidence? I don't think so.
Their technology is potentially disruptive. The cost difference to treat a heart attack victim with Cytori's system versus the cost of heart surgery is huge. Yes, the reality of this procedure being used routinely is a few years away, but regulatory approval on a limited basis is possible is Europe within a year.
If/when that happens, eyes will be opened to this company's potential.
Also, here is a good summary of the risk/reward of this company.

CLDX (3.84) Its not going to go up in a straight line. That was a big move yesterday, and understandable day-traders and nervous longs want some quick profits. Chance to buy for those late to the party. I'm not a chartist, so I'm not saying its a buy point now. But last year's run to ASCO this thing hit $9 (very briefly) in May. Anything close to last year and this has lots of room to run.
I missed this morning's conference call, looking to listen when its archived. When will we know what they will present at ASCO?
CYTX (6.25) Article on Minyanville yesterday. Didn't see it until today...was traveling. "Cytori: A Low Risk Stem Cell Play"

CYTX now running hard...$6.27!!
CYTX (6.03) Up 7% today on heavy volume. Stock has not closed over $5.89 since last May. Short covering? Earnings coming up next week. A close over $5.89 would be very bullish, imo.
Data on European breast reconstruction study out today may be the catalyst.

sorry about typo...if you sell 30 put contracts, costs you $9000 to buy 3000 shares if they are put to you.
CLDX (3.76) Showing signs of life.
Suggestion to consider: If you plan to buy this on possible run to ASCO, look at selling May $3 puts to offset cost. I highly doubt this goes below $3 before May expiration. Selling 30 contracts, for example, obligates you to but 3000 shares at $3.00, or $9.00. Selling 30 contracts would put $900 in your account today. Nice return on margin for 3 month hold, if you have margin account.
MNKD buying put options would be the way I'd play this one.
Limits your downside to money invested, versus shorting. Made 250% holding puts through the recent cc, so easy money has already been made with this strategy. But if you agree and have conviction this is going into the 2's, buying puts is the way to go (imo).
Obviously dyodd, don't play this if you don't have some experience or don't understand options.
EXAS (6.34) Breaking out with volume.
IMO this is a good long term hold, but has also been a great swing-trade vehicle over the last few months.
LCI (5.72) Strong today on earnings. Morphine sulfate FDA decision overdue. Company says decision pending FDA inspection of its facilities. This could be a quick winner.
