Some points to ponder
*Whats the difference if they're an pe or npe ? there is currently no law on the books to penalize. they are not the troll that activ is trying to paint. they developed the technology.
*injunctive relief is far fetched.
*the uspto WILL render a decision favorable to WDDD during the next 30 days ( no big secret ) they'll fix THEIR documentation mistake
*WDDD will secure some additional 'slightly' dilutive financing during the next 90 days. it will NOT be a floorless convertible debenture.
I actually like the odds down here at 23 cents or so
Actually I believe the next catalyst here will be the USPTO certification paperwork which will render Activision's MSJ null and void. Can happen at any time.
The delay is one thing....the judge presiding is another.
holder's department of justice doesn't resemble anything I've ever seen before. they are activists to the point of interpreting the law in any way that suits their needs.
Thanks. Looks like Activ is trying to pull politics into this. Judge Casper was conveniently appointed by............you guessed it, obama
Worlds response looks great to me. Is the judge gonna be fair and abide by the law? What a horrible statement it would be about this country if she's prejudiced.
got a link?
I personally wouldn't be surprised if at least half of what we have seen to the upside has been short covering.
highly unlikely since the recent re-structuring of the financing deal. They now have a finite amount of shares (7M) versus a floorless convert. Shares are restricted until 1/2014 with the warrants moving from 50cents to $1.00.
In a environment where we had a doj that would follow their sworn duty to uphold the laws of this land, I would think that this stock was a no brainer.
Sorry, not buying that we don't have the most paid off, chicago style politics administration in our country's history. doj can't care less about the constitution.
goog will pay obama to win
Not until after a successful Markman per the ceo
joe,
we're all just waiting for your imminent 15 to 1 reverse split to get in.
So if JA doesn't invest in a stock, then the stock sucks. Let me think, there are about 3000 plus stocks ..............
Just looking forward to your 15 to 1 reverse split prediction.
Anyone who listens to you deserve what they get, and it won't be good.
Unfortunately, I believe you're right.
Joe,
Once again, just as you've been wrong about the financing and msj response timeline, you are wrong about it being 15 to 1 ( maybe your dumbest statement yet ). 15 to 1 would bring the issued shares to a level too low to provide liquidity to attract institutional investors.
Maybe u should educate yourself before speaking.
You don't understand because you listened to joe natural.
As I pointed out a couple of months ago, the groups that did the financing deal wanted the share price down to the level that yielded them the most shares ( 20 day avg -- or approx 32 cents ). Did they short shares to do this ? Yes but how many is the question. The reality is that they got a little lucky with Activision' s motion for summary judgement AND the postponement of the Markman hearing. With these 2 events happening along with normal profit taking, who knows maybe they only had to short a few hundred thousand shares to keep it down here.
Now lets say they convert. Who knows, maybe, they like the story and are going to,hold absent covering A few hundred thousand shares.
The truth is the floor less convertible debenture that Joe said existed, as I pointed out, was NOT the terms of the deal. There were Restrictions.
Personally I don't predict stock, prices ( it should only be judged on mkt cap anyway). With Wddd's response to Activ's motion and a possible surprise , we might see a significant improvement in the market cap
In addition to staying away from financial issues, maybe you should not comment on filings.
Wddd has to respond by July 9th
Wddd has until July 9th to respond to Activisions motion.
Joe natural,
Maybe you should drop your commentary on the financing since its been obvious since March that you don't understand it.
Activision basically admits using the technology of the patents with their motion and disputes validity
HUGE win for wddd when motion is denied
Absolutely correct. One of my cohorts spoke with Tom on Wednesday and says buy at the open on Tuesday.
court cannot invalidate patents......only USPTO can
wddd wins on this one
ummmmmm since this was the previous event sg knows this well or would not be proceeding on a contingency basis
Hail Mary is a good description. I believe this will be thrown out by the judge and the reason activision is doing this now is its their ONLY shot. I believe it gets thrown out and then activision buys WDDD patents.
We may never see the Markman hearing.
Aren't you kinda missing 2 things ?
1 they can't own more than x% of the company AND
2 there are a limited amount of shares authorized
I find it laughable that people are blaming or praising joe natural for his understanding of the funding deal.
Its your investment not his.
joe had NO idea what type of financing WDDD did until VERY recently ( and he still has it wrong).
look at joe's messages well AFTER the financing deal was done on March 14th.
look at his posts 7843,9964,10354,10445,10470,10480, etc......
I tried telling you all with posts 7810 and 7821
As far as the delayed Markman, as he said, someone tipped him off and he followed through.
And by the way, ITS NOT A FLOORLESS convertible debenture. There are restrictions that limit the downside. Maybe Joe can teach you about it sometime.
funny
Agree !!!!
joe natural did NO favor to WDDD shareholders.
Most logical post I've read on this board. Coupled with the convertible financing deal,( which sucked if u no anything about financing ). I think breaking through .50 - .60 is not going to happen unless we get a favorable Markman hearing.
Although many don't want to admit that our current admin is the most corrupt ever by sticking their heads in the sand, how are you going to feel when Judge Jackson comes back and screws vrng because of the influence goog has with this admin?
And yes this belongs on this board.
Anything less than 3.5% of 20.9% equals corruption. Plain and simple.
That's what some of us fear. obama-holder-goog could be lethal for our investment. the law means nothing to these people.
can they or can they not influence hjj? that is the question
I'm still concerned with goog's ties to the White House and our corrupt AG.
Pray I'm wrong
Seems, absent a negative surprise from hjj, the shorts are out of ammo for the time being. Might start to see some significant covering over the next few days.
I think there's more negativity already priced in than you may think. Goog's response will be NO surprise development.
Jmho
POSTYLE
VRNG not trying to enforce Nokia patents domestically, trying to enforce in Europe. BIG BIG difference
Excellent response from IP Engine.
If JHH allows goog's motion to depose Dr. Becker, then I can't help but to believe he's in goog's pocket.
Question.
HJJ's laches ruling was huge for goog. they didn't even file a motion for it.
HJJ's refusal to correct an obvious jury math error was huge for goog.
HJJ's continuing to let goog stall is huge for goog
If HJJ rules for goog on the deposition of Dr. Becker, that would be huge for goog.
My question is what huge rulings has HJJ made that have gone VRNG's way?
Appears for whatever reason that the judge is Heavily in the goog camp
Since this is the biggest fear any long can have( if true ) , I will NOT be surprised to see a lot of short covering today as there can be no bigger reason for longs to sell.
Won't be shocked to see a close over $3 today.
jmho
If HJJ grants GOOG this motion............I'm going to be believe he's not above reproach.
They can't sell til then......they can short at anytime.
Personally I like wddd. I'd like them a whole lot more if they had arranged a more shareholder friendly finance deal. Whether u understand it or not , and I don't think any of you do, the deal does hurt the pps.
I think what most of you are missing is that the recent funding was NOT what the board cheerleaders are leading you to believe. It was a conversion instead of a straight stock at a set price deal. By being a conversion, the lender WANTS the stock price lower since the lower the conversion price, the more shares they get.
Thus, them shorting is NOT out of the question.
Every transaction has a buyer and a seller. 1 Million shares traded means there were x amount of buyers of some quantity of this and x amount of sellers of some quantity of this sum.
As a very simplified example, I sell 500 shares of xyz and you buy them. The total volume would be 500.
