Of interest. Received a postcard from Novak Capital today. Had a short little note thanking me for being a shareholder in AMVS and encouraging me to go to their website. I will say this, it would appear that regardless of the actual companies business, Novak isn't backing off. That being said, I am hoping that the share price will budge a little due to Novak's work. I still don't hold much hope for AMVS being a long term successful company, as they still have not delivered on anything, but am looking for some kind of boost in the short term. Here's hopin'! GLTA
B
NEOM could be heating up this week.
B
Thoughts on his statement that either an R/S or a reverse merger would happen? I heard it as not a maybe, but a definite that one of those two scenarios would occur in order for them to get listed. GLTA.
B
greg92705 - What exactly are you hearing, and where from? TIA
B
I meant, I have never seen a vote get strung out like this. Usually, there are enough shareholders who vote in plenty of time. I would be curious why people haven't voted. I was notified by my broker and voted via the internet. I wonder if folks were waiting on those mail in ballots and never recieved them. It would also tell me that the principles in the company don't control a very large % of the company. I just get the tone from the PR's that it is imperative that this be approved before they can move forward, and if it isn't approved then there will be problems. My interpretation, anyway. GLTA.
B
Sounds to me like they are desperate, almost like the fate of the company lies in this vote. I've never seen a situation unfold like this before. JMHO.
B
Why is it, that on the Novak website, none of their featured companies PR tabs are up to date? If you are going to be the central repository of information for your clients, don't you think they ought to at least keep up to date information? I also see a Clayton's Corner tab. Clicked it and it brings up a Coming Soon page. You know, even if they up date the contact info on their website, I'm not sure what that really proves. I believe there were folks in previous lives of this company that had the cell phone # of the principles and talked to them frequently. Lot of good it did anybody. Also, if the big product ends up being their light switch covers and memorabilia, etc... why change the company name to Automotive Specialty Concepts? The name would imply their focus is in vehicle related items. The DexSports side still seems to not fit into their main concept. Time will tell. I would disagree slightly with you Chadman, in that, if (big if there) they actually have material information to report they should still do it, regardless of the current state of the country. Now, if it's just fluff, they can hold ther breaths for a few weeks. As usual, GLTA!
B
geoly - Do you honestly believe that will be the case, based upon evidence you have seen or are you wishing that to be the case. Just looking for your honest thought on this. I think all of us have been waiting now for a long time and this time is slowly turning into same old, same old. You have a lot of faith in Novak, but they don't make the products or sell the products. They sell the idea of the company to get people to invest. You've been sold, fine, I have not. I did average down, hoping to make back my original investment from a few years ago, but right now I am quickly losing any hope of this thing actually happening. Also, to clarify, what product exactly are you expecting up on the website tomorrow? Wheels or something related to Dexsports? TIA and GLTY.
B
Why does everyone give TS so much credit? I get his "free" emails, they are nothing but elaborate sales pitches for his very expensive services. I, personally, feel this guy is just shameless. He's got a Jones for China right now and that may be part of his supposed infatuation with NEOM. I know I will never give him a dime of my $. Anyone else feel the same re: TS?
B
Same story, different week. Monday drops, and stays about static through Friday when, for some reason, volume increases and the price increases. I suppose if you bought on Monday's and sold on Friday's you could make a few coins here. Beyond that they still have shown nothing to send this stock to another level.
B
It would seem to me, that if an IR person IM'ed people saying this is a good day to buy a stock that would be illegal, wouldn't it? I mean, other than being privy to insider information, what other reason could an IR person have for touting a stock on a given day? Just wondering out loud here.
B
shaker - target for INSQ? TIA
B
ballyhooo - Any reason for an expected volume increase? TIA
B
Dillution appears to be the only rational explanation of the recent volume, without price appreciation. Either that or someone with a fairly large holding is selling off. Novak may not know if there really is dillution occuring. With this company conviently not filing any paperwork there is no easy way to tell. Also, Geoly31, what is your relationship to Novak? I sometimes think you are officially employed by them, or maybe you are Clayton? No dig here, just want to clarify you are just another investor in the big scheme of things and aren't associated in anyway with the company or Novak. Thanks.
B
I concur, this does show something actually happening with the company. I especially like the mentioning of specific schools, it would appear to lend more credibility than just saying we have a few schools interested. What still has me scratching my head is that this is the most positive PR in awhile and yet the stock isn't doing much. It may be one of those instances where only specific $'s actually reported by the company that may move it to the next level. GLTA
B
Well, I either did something stupid today, or I traded smart
I went ahead and averaged down and bought at .05. Now my breakeven has gone down from .14 to .08. I still don't have much faith in management, but I feel the stock is developing a nice up and down flow to make some cash off of. Time will tell.

Over this time period, 15,481,600 shares have traded. Basically, the entire float once, plus a bit. Three times your "tradable float". What really bothers me about this stock, not withstanding their business dealings, is that with a pretty decent volume, compared to the float, that this stock can't break through .10. I thought that Friday's late day trading would be a good sign for today, but that appears to have been a flawed thought. As we all know, all the PR's, filings, postings, emails etc... mean virtually nothing if the price / volume don't support them. So far, I don't see the stock trading like a stock ready to bust loose. My break even is around .15, so I am waiting patiently to see if it will reach that point. GLTA.

OK, here is a quote from the recent PR that makes me wonder a bit:
http://newsblaze.com/story/2005072811553400001.pz/newsblaze/AUTOMOBI/Auto.html
"We have had a strong relationship with Mr. Morrison," said Paul H. Stringer, President of Automotive Specialty Concepts, "and look forward to supporting his programs to expand synergistic relationships between AMVS and DexSports."
A whole 6 days after announcing Dexter Morrison as marketing and sales director their relationship is strong and want to buy him out? It would appear obvious, they have been working with Mr. Morrison for a lot longer than the PR's would indicate. As usual, however, with this company you are lucky to get the bare minimum of information.
A couple of off the wall DD links / surmises:
1. From looking at these two links:
http://www.bizprolink-internet.com/040319.htm
http://www.namestead.com/new-domains-lists/new_com_041220_domain-name-new-list.txt
These basically show that DEXSPORTS.com expired in March 2004 and was registered as new in Dec 2004. There is no way to tell if the original registration actually had a working website, or if they just registered it and never put it up.
2. Go to this link:
http://www.google.com/search?q=dexsports+&btnG=Search&hl=en&lr=
If you do a search on just DEXSPORTS, all you really get are links to the AMVS relationship. No links to old PR's or any other prior business information.
OK, I broke down and did a KnowX search. I paid for this info, but will share it here:

Interesting, to say the least. How many light switch covers have they sold in two years?
Looks to me like they don't actually offer any products at this time on their website (gee, they're a perfect fit for AMVS! :) ). The blurb in the upper corner says the website is under construction. The way I read their front page, they no longer sell the pro sports light switch plates:
Welcome to Dexsports.com. We are an evolving business with a positive message. In the past we have developed many different products such as light switch plates. We've previously engaged the NFL, NBA, and Collegiate Teams. This has helped us move in a successful direction for a long time and has brought us to where we are today. We want to now spread our message to high school and lower age groups.
They do appear to be moving strictly into this fundraising area.
I also don't get the tie in between high end automotive wheels and a high school coaches convention. I know it's Texas (big time high school sports), but what's the connection?
If Novak is such a great PR company, why aren't any of the PR's issued (other than the initial one) since they came on board shown on either theirs or AMVS's websites?
I would still be concerned that the volume hasn't been very great and the price has leveled and actually dropped now.
Hey, I want this puppy to rocket so I can get my $ back, it's just that nothing of the current iteration of this company really shows anything new or different. A few new players, but still no wheels, no orders, etc....
B
Isn't that the rub though. We've had a few releases this week that would appear on the surface to be good news. The problem, from my perspective, is that the market could care less about these things. No volume, no price movement, nada. Where are the friends of those in the know? Why aren't they buying? I figure either this is the same story repeated for the umpteenth time, or we still have awhile to wait before any real positive moves are made. Good weekend to all!
B
This is total speculation on my part, but I am guessing that somewhere between 3.4 - 6.8 million shares (or their equivalent) was given in return for the $170,000. If you take $170,000 / .05 (current share price) that gives you 3.4 million. Now, I'm thinking the folks getting the shares got them at a premium so if their shares were at a 100% mark up, then they were valued at .025, $170,000 / .025 = 6.8 million. Again, this is all my speculation, no verifiable DD to back it up.
B
geoly31 - Actually there is a possibility of dillution. Here is the statement:
"The debt ($170k) was collectively paid off by several large shareholders who put up about half of the debt and Novak put up the other half. We are very long with this company and have also purchased near 1 million shares in the open market since our debut in March. Some very exciting developments are coming and we anticipate to see new doors open.
Novak purchased shares on the open market, but that wasn't part of the debt reduction as best I read it. Novak and some other large shareholders paid it off, what they receieved in return is yet to be stated. I would imagine it was stock of some kind. Possibly restricted, but stock nonetheless. My take anyway.
B
I would agree those responses do sound positive. I do question the fact that an IR company is heavily invested in one of it's client's. That, to me, would be a bit of a conflict of interest. It would also lend itself to being a P&D as the IR company profits from the stock appreciation and therefor it is in their best interest to pump up the stock. Also, if they and a few other shareholders are heavily invested, then I would imagine some fairly significant dillution has occured since Novak has come on board. On a definite positive note, for me at least, this Q&A session does have the most professional sound to it that I have seen from this company. Time will tell.
B
Interesting. How do you "Pay Off" all of your long term debt when you aren't actually producing any revenue? As has been the case in the past, their PR announcements give some teaser type information, but rarely give the complete picture. Only time will tell.
B
GOINGUP11, et al. -
I will give you two items to chew on.
First, and this may have just been a transcription error on your part, but that zip code for that address is wrong. It should be 98661. Now, that being said, take a look at the other tenants at that address:
http://gresham-or.tax-preparation-help.com/J+Leslie+Tax+--26+Accounting.393202.21399601.home.html
Seems that Mr. Leslie is doing a little accounting work on the side to bolster his income!
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22101+E+8th+St%22+Vancouver+WA+&btnG=Google+Search
Now, from the list of companies showing up at that address, I could believe a corporate office might be there, small one though, but I don't see an office and warehouse fitting in.
Second, last year they made a big issue of being at the SEMA show. Well, as of now, they are not listed as an exhibitor for this year:
http://www.semaonline.com/ExpocadVr/shows/sema05/Start.html
I guess they are too busy filling orders from last year's show to attend this year?
Any rebuttal?
B
Yes, the cast of characters at that address are amazing:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=%224760+South+Pecos+Road%22&btnG=Search
Let's see, you can take out a mortgage, get a #%&*# job, have a little X rated fun and get a massage! The saga continues.....
ns8013 & chadman -
I see both positives and negatives in Clayton's email responses.
(caveat - Assumption is that what was said is being done and is accurate!)
Positives:
1. Clayton did reply. That is a start.
2. Mr. Thompson is a shareholder and it looks like they will utilize the avenues he brings to the table.
3. P.S. and/or J.L. using their own resources to fund the company at this point.
4. Looks like Novak has invested in AMVS, based on this statement: We would not be investing our own capital in the market place if this were not the case.
Negatives:
1. For an IR/PR guy, the wording of the responses are kind of rough. That would carry over to the mistakes on the website also. I guess the level of professionalism for Novak could be up for discussion.
2. This statement kind of bothers me: Current production will be outsourced to the suppliers for us as we are not going to be making the products literally ourselves Without any of their own production capabilities I would question their ability to deliver products in a timely fashion. To me it also means they will need to keep a large inventory of already manufactured product on hand. That's a lot of money sitting around in a warehouse doing nothing.
3. What sales team?
That's just some thoughts for now. Time will tell!
B
Well the website doesn't have them knocking down the doors to buy this stock this morning. I'm half expecting a PR today to say the website is up. I'll put one item up for discussion and see if anyone has any stat.'s or links for information. I have always wondered what the real market for this type of designer wheel. I feel they have overestimated the appeal and market for them. I believe the Hummer wheels were a few thousand $. I believe there are folks out there that will buy them, I just am not convinced that that group of folks is very big. Anyone have any links to statistics for this type of product as to it's market size, etc... ? I guess, also, other than American Propane I just don't see the big guys like UPS, etc... needing or wanting these embossed wheels. They aren't going to buy something they just don't need. I can see, maybe the military purchasing a few for maybe their show vehicles for when they are out in public and such. Anyone feel free to chime in on the marketplace for this type of item.
One more thing. From an inventory standpoint, I can't imagine they would produce a bunch of a certain wheel (differing sizes) and have them sitting around waiting to be purchased. I would think they would want to manufacture to order. We really do not know anything about their manufacturing processes. Their PR's mention inventory, but not manufacturing. If they have a whole bunch of different logo's available they will definitely need to manufacture to order. What would the turn around and delivery time be? Do you think people who want to buy will want to wait, however long it is, to receive them?
B
It sounds good, but sounding good and being good are two different things. The problem with this is that Mychal Thompson was on board two years ago as a member of their "advisory committee". I would be curious to see if this committee still exists. One issue I have, however, is that since they don't file we don't have a clue as to what has transpired over the past two years. Has MT been paid for his role? Have they given these folks stock? So far, it is still a lot of whitewash. It looks nice, but we still don't have a lot of concrete information.
Oh, by the way, I guess they don't have a proofreader for their website:
http://www.automotivespecialtyconcepts.com/company.html
The growth plan is set to sign up different sports leagues weather professional, minor, college or high school levels.
Plus, now we have three names for the company:
Automotive Specialties Concepts
Auto Specialties Concepts
Mychal Thompson's Automotive Specialty Concepts
Which is it?
B
Thanks. It must have been cached. Now I see it. I do find that statement curious also. Hey, if I get my $ back on this investment I will be happy.
B
I wouldn't say the site is up. True, you get a different page then you did a week ago, but a functioning website it is not. Two things I find interesting about this placeholder page:
1. Company name is shown as "Auto Specialty Concepts" rather than "Automotive Specialty Concepts".
2. I see they are using that All American Propane wheel logo as part of their page header.
Just a few thoughts to throw out as we wait in anticipation of this new website!
B
Here's another PR from 2004:
http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2004/06/03/198336.html
Now, does this sound familiar:
VANCOUVER, Wash.--June 3, 2004--Sports Wheels Inc. (Pink Sheets:SSWH), a premiere wheel technology company, today announces that its patent has been formally introduced to automotive manufactures around the country. The company looks to gain traction in the industry before launching new products and services. "We are very excited that last weeks road trip brought clarity to the direction and opportunity we face as a company. Our expectations for launching a series of products this summer is reachable," stated CEO Paul Stringer.
Over the last year the company has explored its viability with manufactures to finalize its production and now plans are set to release its product line by the end of summer. Sports Wheels Inc. through its web site plans to sell direct to consumers. "Logistically we are set to launch the consumer line as soon as we finalize production schedules. We plan on selling direct to clients through the website and through retail outlets down the road. A strong presence in the decorative wheel segment will allow us to gain market share. The introduction of our products lends itself perfectly to an already growing national market of products supported by sports enthusiast around the country," stated Stringer.
The company plans to add additional member services to the website over the next week to support future investor relations questions. Sports Wheels Inc. has launched a new site over the last month that is still a work in progress. In the next several weeks we will be adding features to begin order processing. My only point here, is to just reitterate that they continue to say the same stuff over and over and have yet to deliver. I would say that for the longs here that until they do deliver we will not believe a word that is put out. JMHO.

Here is the PR:

Does this sound familiar (from 2003):
SSWH has signed a licensing agreement regarding a patented technology that bonds and fuses glass to metal. SSWH intends to use this technology to obtain licensing rights from universities, professional sports teams and other corporations to market logos, colors or insignias on professionally designed wheel covers and wheels. SSWH is also exploring additional applications for this patented technology.
SSWH is currently working towards achieving a full listing on the Over-The-Counter market. SSWH's goal is to become the world's leading developer of designer wheel covers and wheels and is currently building a team to reach this goal.
Now, that's two years old and we still aren't reporting.

I second that assessment. I do not understand this admiration folks have for Novak. None of their PR's list any individuals names. Their website does not list any names. In fact, if you look at their services page, IR is not even listed as such. I agree some of their companies have caught fire, but I think it is fair to ask whether Novak had much, if any, impact on those stocks prices. It would appear most of Novak's PR's are sent through PrimeZone which, correct me if I'm mistaken, doesn't have the widest reach. I believe a couple of years ago there were discussions that the companies PR's were not getting the widest release possible. I believe those releases were also through PrimeZone.
Now for an interesting tidbit for those of us that can count our ownership of this company in years rather than days or weeks. Remember way, way, way back when they touted former Laker Mychal Thompson as some sort of spokesman or backer. I was actually thinking about that the other day, and now low and behold look at the website today:
http://www.automotivespecialtyconcepts.com/
Now you have an under construction sign, but if you look closely at the top of the page there is Mychal Thompson's autograph signature. The page also says the site should be available later today. Time will tell.

Again, we have seen this type of news before. Now, if there really is a working website where you can order more than a few Hummer wheels I will be happy. Let's just hope this time the story turns out to be valid. My investment at least is back to about 60% of my original value, up from about 5%. If we can get to .15 or so I would be happy. GLTA
As someone mentioned before, there are a ton of people with share values between $.10 and $.15. The current volume will not support the selling of these shares should that price range be reached. Those of us that unfortunately got caught up with this in the "good old days" are just waiting to get their money back. Unless there is some awesome stellar news, like verifiable big revenues, this will tank when it reaches that breakeven area as a high percentage of the OS is in that range.
