She'll keep her job. No doubt about that with her district.
I have seen with this admin and congress that opposition doesn't matter. If I calculated this right a 1/4 of a percent for each trade would cost $62.50 on a 25K transaction assuming that a trade would be considered a round trip but for some reason, I doubt that. That "lady" would probably hit us both ways. Please correct my numbers if I am wrong.
Well, unfortunately I found this.

Looks like last December.
Heard that Nancy Pelosi is trying to push thru a Global Tax on stock trades. Any truth to this?
It's all good. Just thought I would post this for others. Hopefully it will save someone else a few bucks. Lost 4 cents because of it. Could have been a whole lot worse I guess. LOL
I think once the new site is opened, we should post a "Bloopers and Blunders" for the new folks so maybe we can save them from some of our hardships. Remember, it's all about the team............
Remember, it's the Listen Live link.
Here is a tip for the new folks trading live. Once you have bought in and have your sell screen confirmation page up, DO NOT place your cursor over the "OK" button, and keep your hand on the mouse. I can personally verify that this is not a good thing to do. LOL
Thank you Charlie.
I was unaware of that when I posted. Sorry. It was a range of 16K-19K depending on which one I was in and the price. For now, I am using 1000 shares until I get my confidence up with my trades. A penny move equals $10.00. This way, when I am down a few cents, I don't panic knowing that it is only $30-$50. Allows me to ride the dips. Especially those that happen right after I get in.
1000 shares.
Thank You.
I thank my God with the help of Monk.

Missed that one by a penny. Got in at 16.00. Out at $16.24.
$570 today after commissions using 1000 shares on the F's.
Thank You Monk!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MONK May you be blessed with many more. Thank you sir. I don't know how I will ever be able to repay you for your kindness and generosity that you have so graciously given and shared with my family. Your name will always be remembered in my family as the person that helped change their lot in life.
From my family to you.
God Bless you sir.
That's funny. Like the political reference at the end. So true. Just think, with the dumbing down of America, this guy can be president too.
Anytime, the Den is here to help. We like paying it forward.
Yeah, I have been paper trading since June 7th. Just started dipping my toe into live the last couple of weeks. Really looking forward to the traders coming back after Labor Day so the ups will be a little higher than they are now. But this is good stuff. My confidence is slowly building and thats very good. I can't thank Monk and The Den enough for this knowledge and support.
I am fortunate enough right now to not have to trade for a living so the small gains compared to others results are working really well for me. Besides, making $50 in 15-20 minutes is more than anyone else has ever paid me.
I do remember that. I use to print it out and show people the possiblities.
Good advice. My 1000 share rule has done a lot for me as far as staying in the trade.
That's cool. Thank you for that. LOL
You're special.
No doubt the more you use the more you make and compounding the bigger numbers definately would make a huge difference. My "system"(LOL) just makes it easier to handle for me until I am confident with my live trades. I have developed great paper trading results, but as many have said, that 25K of real money is an emotional toll for me. It is a real shock to hit a button and watch your money disappear off the screen in a blink. At least for me. I'm sure as time goes by, and I get use to seeing it happen, I will loosen up some more. And another issue for me is I can't afford too many "big" hits as I have been given access to just over 25K and the balance going under that would put a stop to trading. So right now I can afford for a few small hits but a large one would take me out for a while.
That would be nice.
Next time we will try 799 LOL.
Although I am sure that most of you have figured out your "system" for trading, I would like to share a thought I had for the new folks that are "scared" like me when it comes time to puting 25K on the line.
I have figured that playing with 1000 shares is "safe" for me right now. If the price starts falling, for every penny, it equates to $10 per penny. A number that is manageable for a newbie such as myself. On the other hand, for every penny gained of course, it is $10.00 gained. Also a manageable number.
It might just be a head fake that I am putting on myself, but for entering a trade, it has been less stressful to watch the price decline a few cents knowing that I was only looking at $20-$40 loss. Understand I am still hoping for a turn around, but the ability to ride the small dips knowing how much money it equated to has been nice for me.
Just thought I would share that.
Yes, it was a market order on TNA.
Yes, it was on TNA also.
I have a friend that uses ETRADE PRO also. Be careful with that 2 second guarantee. They only guarantee it for ETF's and up to 500 shares. Not saying they don't fill quickly, but know that it only applies up to 500 shares. It caught us off guard the other day when they split an 800 share order and filled the second part about 8 seconds later and a nickle higher.
Thank You for this BillyJack. I haven't been posting much due to some trying times that have been demanding my attention, but after reading Monk's letter, I knew I wanted to comment here today. When I read Monk's letter today, I couldn't help but feel sorry for him. He is correct. He can't say "hi" without getting 100 post to him asking for info. I can't imagine getting hundreds of messages a day from folks wanting information and most probably wanting info that he can't answer. I personally try to go around Monk when I have a question because I know there are hundreds in front of me and I would really like to see the man get a break. Monk has a huge heart for helping others, but he is also just one person. There are others that have stepped up to help. Ex, BillyJack, Craig, LoneGrey, Connie, Sidney, sideshow, NMC, JGP83 and others that escape me right now. I know, because I have bent these folks ear on more than my fair share of occasions. I realize that some of the new folks that come on board want the leader's ear and almost rightly so. But for the folks that have been here, you know there are others that can help you and if they can't, they know where to go so they can. I'm not saying to let Monk feel like a loner, but try another route before you go to him.
Maybe we could stickie a list of names of folks that are willing to help others. Maybe a "Try Here First" list or put it in the IBOX. I don't know of an iron clad solution for this, but we need to start somewhere so our that our Friend can breathe.
They told me the ETF's and only up to 500 shares.
I believe it was one of the T's.
Question:
I've heard around the Den that etrade guarantees 2 second transaction times. I was talking with a friend and they split his market order into two parts and the second part did not fill for about 8 seconds and 5 cents higher. When we talked with etrade, they said that they only guarantee 2 seconds on orders up to 500 shares. This was very disappointing. So, my question is for you live traders. You happy with the overall trade execution times with etrade in general or is this common? TIA
Very nice. lol
oops. Why sir? Grabbed a 24 at a garage sale for $30 several months ago.
Did I miss the surprise during the crash yesterday sir?
Terminated mine about 3 weeks ago.
