Sounds like a smart man... Good luck marich
Yeah it was my mistake - I should have checked that before I posted but with a name like quasar, I didn't even think there'd be two... And if you fly out of JAX, we have probably met. I got my license at herlong back in 02' if you ever hung out there you know Greg Carter, old lineman - we worked together and now we both fly for navy. Best of luck to you
My apologies to the board - there's another quasar aerospace company that produces a quasar light sport aircraft. My earlier comment was directed at their product. I didn't distinguish the two companies.
I see ya'll at the top of the list and I'll be upfront and say I don't own shares so I really have no vested interest here. Just thought for the sake of those of you holding shares, I've been a pilot for 9 years and am an aerospace engineer. Aside from stocks and company dealings, I have no idea what the case is here - their aircraft simply isn't a very good product and most of the flying community I have spoken with agree. Something to consider - not to say you can't still make money.
Same for me... Weird. Although if we're going to play the 50/50 game I'd like to cast my vote for the 2.00 option.
No pics for you. I'd rather have your shares :)
Hey fellas, thanks for all the comments. I definitely do feel a lot better after talking to her today. As NOBO pointed out, the recently declining PPS tends to get us a little down and forces you to ask yourself the difficult questions on your investment. It's easy to forget what we have here while your account is dwindling. But rather than tear the board apart - which even brought me down reading yesterday's posts, I think going directly to the source and voicing your concern is best option.
Someone commented on being patient and I also think that is key. Michelle said the company is hesitant to release dates now because delays DO happen. Her words were along the lines of, we've seen the investor's reactions in the past when target dates weren't met and so projections will likely be limited in the future. Case in point - delays are real and they happen to everyone, especially businesses - let's not build timelines so rigidly and cause a loss for everyone if they aren't met.
Another point in the conversation I didn't mention was telling her that, as a customer, I appreciate the security in my identity from Guard Dog; but, as an investor, I would like equal security in my holdings. An easy way to achieve a little more transparency quickly would be to give us a little more readily available information on our CEO - Watson. It doesn't compromise their business in any way and it'd add some comfort to us knowing who we have our money on. She quickly agreed and said a bio would be in the works.
In my opinion, we aren't in a win or lose situation. I feel every investor here, regardless of your buy in point, will be able to make money in our stock. It's a matter of how long you're willing to wait to see the returns.
As promised yesterday, here's my conversation with IR. It's long and I have to go work out right after I write this so I'll get back to any questions later tonight...
RE Deal Progress:
Remains GRDO's top priority. The company name can not be released until deal is finalized, but will be released at that time.
Results from current marketing:
YES! Seen results, can't release numbers - obviously
Claims:
To date, to her knowledge, there have been no stolen identities from a GRDO customer.
Employees:
Can not say. However, Watson is not personally involved in the claim process at all (she laughed at that question) and said their representatives handle claims. So obviously there's a significant number of outsourced employees if not direct employees of GRDO.
Profitable:
YES! Huge yes, we are cash flow POSITIVE. Plain and simple.
Financial Reporting:
Audited financial reports currently not in the works. But financial reporting is. Watson is working quickly to bring as much transparency as he can but finances are not a priority at the moment. However, it is a long term goal for Watson. The videos and RE deal are top of the list.
Videos:
My question: is the time frame for the video release next quarter, months weeks, days? Her response, "I would love to say they'll be released in days, but I can't do that" Ha, enough said.
All in all I like it - videos soon, RE deal progress, and PROFITABLE. Huge for me, huge. Furthermore, she sounds way hot on the phone.
Thanks NOBO, that actually aligns with what I painstakingly found out over the course of about 8 hours today... I have a few concerns with it - talk to Kop, he can fill you in and PM me with what you think.
Doing well, check your inbox and let me know what you think. All that took me almost all day but give me your thoughts. How's Cali?
Hey Kop is your email up? I want to send you something to look at - tell me what you think...
Brian and Kreep - I agree with both of you. Kendra is holding this together for me. And Brian you're right, he could write anything he wants - but we can check that information at least. If he tells us he was the past CEO of Great Company Inc. - we can look it up. Right now we don't even have his middle name and it's a little discouraging that he hasn't offered it - or any information on himself. I feel like if he had a sterling reputation in his prior businesses or in the field, he'd want to put that out there immediately to investors. I would.
Although I'll post when I hear back from them... I'm still heavily invested here, just trying to reassure myself on a few points and it unfortunately isn't working how I wanted
No they didn't return my phone call. No word yet. That's what got me interested in digging a little. I decided I wanted some answers on Watson more than Guard Dog. What I found wasn't encouraging, and I'd discuss it, but I'll be blasted. So not going to.
It would seem like a CEO interested in making me feel warm and fuzzy about my identity protection wouldn't mind telling me a little about himself to make me feel secure about my money invested in him. This seems like a fair request unrelated to company progress - NOBO do you know anything about his past experience?
Anyone here have a history on Watson? It's rare that a company doesn't have a publicly available biography/ full name of their CEO. I've been digging for almost 6 hours and didn't find much
I'll be calling IR today, any questions?
NOBO how many employees does Watson have?
So NOBO, is it safe to say we've seen what we'll see for January? I know most of us wanted more substance in the PR's, but do you have any idea what he might have that we don't already know? I feel like we're back to waiting for sub numbers or the corporate deal for any significant move. The marketing news apparently isn't impressing the stock holders
Although the squadron does offer about 500 man hours of community service a month, so it all comes out.
Haha Well sir, at the risk of irritating everyone who reads this. My stash job currently is making coffee for 8 hours a month. I figured it out and that's $390.00/hour to make coffee. But you can bet your sweet a** it's some darn good coffee...
Yeah just last May. Right now there's nothing to like other than GRDO :) Flight school is backed up and I have 5 months of waiting left. This hub is my life actually. Gotta love it. Gotta.
Hey ya'll are alright. I like the influence here. During the elections, I'd go down to Jack's room (we were on the pistol team together) and watch the debates - which were hilarious because Jack would make fun of his dad constantly... Priceless entertainment
Yes sir :) Gotta love it
I actually lived in his room at the Academy, met his wife before the funeral at Annapolis. His story is amazing to say the least.
I'm actually counting on news tomorrow AM. It's a bit of a breaking point in my opinion. Watson released the press note that he delayed releasing news due to poor market conditions. I don't feel I'm drawing too many conclusions to say that, in him saying that, he was directly implying whatever the news was about had already occurred and the PR was written and ready to go. He stated no other factors for the delay. Therefore, there is no reason it shouldn't be released 9am tomorrow. Watson does have a history of being a little late but, thus far, he's been honest about it and always came through in the end. For me, if the news isn't released tomorrow, I'll lose some faith because that implies the last press note was not entirely honest.
Arm, just profit. That goes for a 20 year hold as well. Just make sure you keep your purchase history printed because most brokers remove trade history after 6 years. You might have to prove purchase price to the IRS if they get antsy.
Eliot, your taxes were right for 2007. In 2008, those who are in the 10 and 15% tax brackets pay 0% taxes on long term capitol gains...
Hey I'm all for it comeonnow. Seriously fellas, we're all hiding behind screen names here. Think about it, every time he posts something like that, he gets 10 to 20 responses. Best count generator on the board. Not a bad strategy if you ask me... He's probably a huge holder boosting the board in his own way. I, personally, like it. Everyone here, including him, knows exactly what we have here. Here's to you.
Watson is just doing things in order here. I remember my uncle teaching me the best stocks over time are usually the boring ones. They chug along at an appropriate pace for what the company deems financially sound at the time. The frustration, and ironically the strength, that I feel most are disgruntled about is that Watson simply doesn't handle this company like a pink. Where most pinksheet companies are quick to throw out every PR they can think of for short term PPS swing, Watson isn't interested. He's more interested in laying the foundation than building the house that falls down. This, by it's very nature, is boring for any stock. But for long term growth, it's essential.
I mostly observe from the sidelines and quietly watch as he makes huge changes to the website, some without so much as a mention in a PR. Some see this as a lack of responsibility to the investors. I see it as a tell-tail that apparently Watson sees this as no big deal. That gets me excited. When was the last time Microsoft PR'd a website update?
IMHO, everything here is perfect. Perfectly boring and perfectly paced.
Yeah I actually had a market order in for 100,000 with nothing... Yeah I'm still here btw
I've been holding EXPH for about a month. We're looking like today will be 100 million in volume (we're currently at 90 something). That returned a ~40% increase in share price. The share structure over there is much much worse than what we have here with GRDO. IMHO, when we get the PR that we're waiting for and it's our turn for 100 million shares, this stock will absolutely go nuts. I can't help but get excited at the prospect having watched how easily buying pressure makes us soar.
Thanks uppy - I missed a zero in my math... So what do those of you that have done years of DD on this think about the future value of the company versus where we now stand?
So that puts a share value on the company of 100 million. Is this justified with quarterly profit of ~ 100,000? Or are we likely to see a market correction until further product saturation?
I'm interested in the A/S and O/S for this company - are the shares ungagged and where can this information be found?
Haha - oh yes, the dog is full. I'm counting on it being my next SRSR... And you're absolutely right about the share structure - it will help immensely. One thing I loved about Keevil is that he handled the company like it was blue chip from day 1. I'm seeing that from Watson and if it continues, I have no doubt we'll be pushing multiple bags from this point on IMHO.
I've had SRSR for a year now - it's by far my best stock. However, the difference here is that they have ~ $5,000,000,000 of nobium in the ground. We'll need to show real profit here to run like they did.
Personally, I'm far less interested in the stock price and more interested in the fundamentals of the company. Put simply, the price will reflect the value of the company and any price lower or higher than that is artificial and can't be sustained. I would think that all "longs" would have similar interests and be driving the discussion more towards the company fundamentals than day to day ppps. I could care less about a boom pr.
So, on that note, we've mentioned before that Guard dog has AIG backed insurance. I read their company agreement policy and this is stated there. It sounds to me like they don't have an insurance company at all at this point - only that they intend to use one simialr to AIG. Any confirmation of this?
"enroll customer (not available in New York State) in a $25,000 insurance policy, such as the one offered by AISLIC (American International Specialty Lines Insurance Company, a member company of American International Group, Inc.) applicable for recovering the cost of restoring a customers identity to its original status, in the case of theft."
Well I guess I missed the prediction. Oh well, I suppose if I were always right I wouldn't be on a board right now getting help from you smart people, I'd be sitting on my own island.
Like what?
