I think its because there has been absolutely no quality news coverage of this at all. There are not many people aware of the severity of this lawsuit. Sure there is a few of us i hubbers nerdy enough to figure it out but im not about to go out and publish a financial journal on this. In time the major news organizations will pick up on this and the days of .0001 trading increments will become .10 trading increments. IMHO.
yes which is exactly why this situation with our government making poor monetary policy decisions is so particularly dangerous. If corruption charges come forth from the upper management of our government all hell could break loose literally because it would cause investor confidence in the US financial system to completely COLLAPSE. It would literally bring us back to the 3000-4000 dow days of the mid 90's.
This is MAJOR stuff. Like GIANTS fighting each other with laser beams attached to their heads and reaping havoc on small villages (us economy and main street). Lol.
I hole heartrendingly agree with diamond. This will get halted really soon. The government is most likely going to make jpm give back the branch because jpm CANT afford wamu and the government doesn't want to look bad as that would cause a economic catastrophe. The Progressive leaders of our government are going to do everything in their power to make JPM take the blame, meanwhile Bair will have to pay the consequences. Its common sense.
Wamu has not progressed?? This is not an overnight play D. This is a long term play of which has GREAT potential. There are so many issues at hand that the law firm and the holding company have to deal with. When your trading a company like this that is restructuring let alone dealing with a very complicated time consuming lawsuit against giants like JPM and the FDIC, expecting a immediate return is not only premature but a plain misconception to what you are actually trading. You wait and hang on to those shares buddy because this ride is about to be really intense. 'Progression' is about to happen you just need a little more patience. - Pete
Not if the blame for wamu's recovery is put on the fdic or ots. The only way this would stimulate the economy at a significant level such as that would be if it 'looked' like jpm was the bad guy and had to give the bank back. Other then that if the fdic or ots takes the blame all hell could break loose as it would destroy any and all investor's confidence in the ability for the government to practice monetary policy. We aren't talking little mom and pop banks. This is JPM, arguably the most corrupt...largest financial institution in the world, wamu isn't that much smaller then JPM. JPM, WAMU & THE FDIC/OTS ARE GIANTS FIGHTING EACH OTHER IN THE COURT OF LAW. Whatever the outcome may be it will eigther have such a positive economic impact that it will pull the US/world out of this recession or it will negatively put us back into the 4000 dow level days of the mid 90's.....
my .02
lmao its ok 3 months in the dog house in the summer time won't be as bad as the winter :) Just have to avoid communication for a few months, its like going on a summer safari in the remote seclusion of a desert or jungle with no cell service ;)
Sometimes right - I think that your opinion is very well thought out. I however am a pessimistic type of person and while i do think your viewpoint is full of mai tai sipping beach days I think its fair to say that corruption at the highest levels still very well exist. It is going to be a ride as we 'flush' out these bad turds out of wall street and our heads of government. If proper consequences are taken towards those that were involved in illegal activity then I think that your opinion is definitely a valid one. I hope that justice will prevail but I look at it in a gloom light as of now. Only by wamu coming out of bk will it stimulate the economy. If jpm buys it out or the sh*t hits the fan and the fdic/ots has to cover for their mistake then that is what will absolutely TANK the economy. Investor confidence would be destroyed from the lack of proper management from the fdic.
im not exactly sure what the fair evaluation of the K's or P's would be in the event of a buyout. In terms of the resulting price of the q's under a buyout many have speculated that $8-12 per share wouldn't be out of the question given the level of asset to debt ratio that the holding company currently has. I would think that the K's and P's under a buyout situation would be priced relative to the speculation of the resulting price in the Q's. I think if you look back at the common chart and compare it to the K and P charts where ever the Q's range in the $8-12 land you could reference the valuation of the P's at that point in time to get a 'ballpark' est.
Under the withdrawal of BK, I would suspect that dividends on the k's and p's would remain intact.
Its going to be a fire fight that's for sure. I think this whole thing may very well have the possibility of tanking our economy because it would really show that our government has no clue what they are doing in regards to making intelligent bi partisan decisions for the better of the financial situation. There is too much greed and corruption on all levels of wall street, main street and the political street for that matter.
not to mention another aspect is to see how the shorts are going to handle them selves over the next few days. This news may make them decide to cover and take their profit while they can. we will see!
Imho impatient holders will probably sell over the next couple days until the pot begins to boil again with the lawsuit. Once the pot begins to steam again (ie news release/press coverage of the lawsuit) dollar land imho will be peaking over the horizon as many will get back into the game. I think 6-8 weeks this thing will be in the $$. A win with the lawsuit/buyout of fair evaluation is not far from reality considering the questionable illegal activity that has arrived from this.
for sure i totally understand sorry for my over excited post! Didn't mean to step on your toes by any means! I think this is going to get really interesting in terms of how the K's, P's and Q's react throughout the next couple of days. I think we are going to see more green ahead but dollar land may be 6-8 weeks out. We will see!
exactly. :)
It was a good post too :(
They filed the extension because there is still uncertainty in regards to the 4.4 billion in deposits that jpm and the fdic claim is theirs. They can't file a bankruptcy plan without knowing how much they have to pay off their creditors. So an extension is what has happen....to give time for jpm and the fdic to respond to the lawsuit and possibly settle in the next 3 months. That indicates to me iMHO that wamu may actually have a fair chance of disengaging from ch 11 given all the collusion and supposed 'insolvency' that never existed in the first place.
my .02 - dollar range is not out of the question as of yet.
So basically them filing a 90 day extension to me indicates that within the next 3 months their WILL be a settlement of some sort and that is enough for me to argue that I will add to my position tomorrow!!
isn't it like 57million short still? Man when those boys run to cover this thing is gonna shoot into the .50-$1 range easy.
Ill build it for you! ;)
haha that works! Room for a flat screen tv and a fridge!
yep it was pure sarcasm lol. This thing is setting up to rocket. everything is looking solid, the fundamentals are good, the technicals look great too. I may add to my position tomorrow. we should see a nice bounce tomorrow.
oh this will slam to .0001 for sure ;)
I think you meant "dog house" right lol funnny

"...Yes this is a screwed up market but there is no astroid heading for the earth...."
Not yet :)
you can hope all you want but the fact is that hope is all that pdgt has left shareholders. Hope = BS
FDIC lawsuit.
LALALALALALALALALA LALALALALA LALA LA LA LA LA LA La......la.....la.....la...la.... :)
In my opinion it is just astonishing that this hasn't been followed up very much in the news/cable t.v. media.
Can you imagine once the sh*t really hits the fans and the media finds out about a multi-Billion dollar claim agaisnt the FDIC and JPM? This is going to result in a 2 hour "Fleecing of America" NBC special.
Any little blurp of mass attention like that will just be ridiculous to the stock price. What an opportunity.
Hope your right : ) that would be nice!
Hmmm...maybe the volume we saw in the last few days was SI buying back all his shorted shares. He hasn't posted in a while.... the SI pump and dump? :)
lol hello volume ... pump and dump??
the question is will we ever get any news! lol
Sold at .0002 (luckily)
I haven't posted here in a while. I had set a personal buy/hold time line given that pdgt comes through with some substance (as promised). I sold all my shares yesterday 75% loss. GLTA
However, this will be on my radar. Hope that PDGT comes through.
I am going to laugh when this takes off like a rocket.
