First they said they couldn't prove there was short selling. Then they said they couldn't disprove it either. Thus, although it may not exist, it still may exist after all, since the disprove clause was last.
I give it a 62.5% chance (i.e. 5/8) with a coefficient of variation of 15%.
Waiting is painful. Forgetting is painful. But not knowing which to do is the worse kind of suffering.
Patience is waiting. Not passively waiting. That is laziness. But to keep going when the going is hard and slow - that is patience.
You are still incorrect. You can't use an "if-then" statement. You need an "and" statement: A = B or C and D = B or C, so again, your initial statement If A = B or C then D = B or C is wrong. Sorry.
Point well taken, thank you.
I was trying to illustrate a point. Just as the "concerned" folks can fabricate stuff despite numerous releases (soon to be borne out) and incestantly repeating the same unsupported accusations, so can others who put their hard earned money on the line. When BS hits a fan it goes everywhere.
V - 2:10pm almost here!
Profitable Outstanding Securities
2:10 pm
I wouldn't be surprised if the announcement is TODAY around 2:10. I am not concerned with a bid because once the announcement is made that will be a moot issue as the stock takes off.
Go into SEC.gov and you will see FFGO is listed notifying about the 13D with FFGO's Florida address. Sloane is listed separately with a South Africa address. Nowhere does it say Sloan has a Florida address. You misinterpreted Tex's posting.
Yes, and soooo sad because it was avoidable.
"hmmm.. still .0001 and" dividend will be paid soon! Shorts better cover SOON before getting wiped out.
Therefore, the "no bid" is really not true. I haven't thought it was true for a long, long time.
Hi John,
"If Mr. Lumb pulls this off he will gain a lot creditability and that should make it a lot eaiser for the next venture"
He already has enough creditability as he found a buyer, despite the missives of the shorts.
"Of Coarse JMO!"
Quite right, just an opinion, not corroborated.
After the dividend payment I think I will get a vanity license plate that says "LONG FFGO".
Then who is buying? Your argument is not corroborated by anything. Saying the moon is made of cheese doesn't make it so.
Who cares about a bid. Just ink the deal and the rest will take care of itself. Tick Tock, Tick Tock, BOOM!!! {:>)
Are the shorts ready to throw in the towel?
"never ending supply of .0001`s" that are going to get the dividend! ...should make you happy!
Good, that means 40 billion shares will get the dividend. Makes you want to smile! {:>)
What did I miss? I was away for a few hours. Did everyone finally come to a concensus and realize the announcement will be this week? Good!
"So would I be wrong in assuming, that when we purchase shares with our cash, that our shares are being hypothecated immediately when the broker puts them in his street name, and puts electronic generated markers in our accounts?(IOU'S)"
Shares may or may not be hypothecated depending upon the brokerage firm's needs. They can sit forever and not be lent, or if needed, can be lent immediately.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Brokerage. When there is a normal (and legal) short sale shares still have to be delivered to the buyer. The selling company first looks to their own clients to see who has the shares. They are lent from the client who has the shares (and has no knowledge their shares are being hypothecated) to the client making the short sale. When a brokerage account is opened it states in the contract your shares may be hypothecated. Usually no one pays attention to this and it is legitimate. If there aren't in house shares the brokerage firm goes to the Street to get shares.
"...it may very well be possible to have 60 plus billion needed to repurchase
An epic short squeeze to be sure. No wonder why the major buyer kept their shares in certificate form so they can't be hypothecated by a brokerage company for lending to deliver as short sales. They will have to buy REAL shares for delivery.
FYI: definition of hypothecation- Collateralizing arrangement in which neither the possession nor the title but only the right to sell an asset or property passes on to the creditor or lender (called a grantee). Arrangement where the grantee has the possession and right to sell, but not the title, is called pledging.
Look, y’all know the company will pay soon, it will be large, no one sold their holdings because of your denunciations and baseless lies, shorts will have to scramble to cover despite having ample time to limit their losses, and everyone will move on. Simple! Remember 2010!
There is a record date, an ex-dividend date, a payment date...but when is the "rocket" date?
Just debating the point and avoiding Sunday chores, that's all. {:>)
"If I remember correctly FFGO has written off all their investment in HGLC. Why would they do that unless they needed the write off to offset income."
According to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) a writeoff has to occur if it is material and the company learns of its dimunition of value. It is the lower of cost or market value. For more detail search under GAAP.
Paid in capital got the company started. I am long but what you say doesn't make sense. They are liquidating the company's only two material assets. The principals will likely take their money and deploy it elsewhere, not here. I expect a lot of activity on this board this coming week as it probably will be a last ditch effort to convince people either there will be a large dividend payment or not. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
If the company is paying out the entire procedes then essentially they will be out of business because there is no capital left. Remember the company had to get a cash infusion to hire the lawyers, filings, and other associated costs.
Clever, I liked it!!! ..and how about this retort: Suddenly Came About Monday !!!
I used up my allotment of messages today. Should you respond I will have to wait until tomorrow. Good Night.
Sensing Cash Appearing Momentarily: FFGO!!!
"I agree. Was that FAQ page announcement today a hint that the dividend is next week? How amazing would that be?"
Not amazing; EXPECTED by the longs, feared by the shorts.
PANDEMONIUM NEXT WEEK FOR SURE ONCE THE DIVIDEND IS ANNOUNCED!
Hi Rocket, glad you liked my comment. FYI, on the outside chance you hadn't noticed or intended that way, your signature appears to have a typo. (I don't have PM.) Is the FFGO rocket a new design heretofore never experienced as it is fueled by short greed? Ready for take off... T-63 hours.
What you said is right, so where is the confusion? The audit will take a couple of days more, both parties sign, FFGO notifies the Transfer Agent who in turn makes arrangements with FINRA to set the record date and payment date, payment is made, the longs party hardy and the shorts are sad. Everybody moves on with life.
"...we will see the wildest scramble for shares that anyone has ever seen. It will be a blessing for all share holders and a blood bath for the rest."
You are precisely on target. Once the deal is announced there will be PANDEMONIUM! Definitely worth the show.
