Lets go people, step on up and et them while you can 10,000 at .258 and 10,000 at .250 is $80. Like I said step on up.
Why hello .25's nice to see you, say hello to our friends 26 and 27, and almost 2 million in volume, can you feel it!!
MD,
I always love your optimism and appreciate all your efforts, I was very optimistic for many years, then a period of negativism, at least with management, but I have learned to have an even keel lately and kind of let things happen. Frustrated and embarrassed that I have put so much money and time into this over the last 12 years or so, but truly believe it will pay off.
I just hope it does prior to my wife divorcing me. Then again, lol.
Enough with the rollercoaster ride.
BKT
Dew,
Thanks, that makes me feel better, not.
DrR,
That was my initial feeling as well, that they could have no idea that the Sunrise trial was going wrong since it was blinded. But as usual like the Seinfeld " The Bizarro Jerry" episode the PPHM Bizarro share price world is in reverse instead of going forward.
The only apprehension I have, is that in the past when PPHM is usually silent about something, more often than not ( not always), it usually kicks us in the ass.
More info on the use of the 175 million needed, for now I and most of my associates hold before voting.
Cautiously Optimistic
BKT
I have been pretty quiet around here the last year or so. I have for many years always been pro-science, and have advised many clients, friends and family to invest here. I have always thought we have the golden goose. I have taken out my pom-poms many times, have shouted from the rooftops that this is a sure bet. I will have to say I have not always been pro management or BOD. There have been too many just starts, and oh so close, and just around the corner deals. I believe they have lacked in accountability and have the never ending credit card like my wife. Obviously the Sept 2012 fiasco is still mind boggling, and since management was on watch, they have to take responsibility for that. However, I think putting the data back together and getting this as far as it is today earns them a wash in that area, so I have let that go. Many of us longs here have suffered monetarily and I would also imagine in other ways as well for being consumed with this stock. I for one can admit that I have.
So here we are today with a company that supposedly has a stranglehold on one of if not the hottest trend in Cancer treatments. Immunotherapy will generate billions of dollars. We supposedly have numerous patents tied up and no one can use PS technology without our approval. We have a safety profile second to none, we have a drug that has worked in Brain cancer, has worked on the viral side in many cases( which has been off the radar for a while now, does anyone remember all those pigs cured and immune from reinfection), has had complete responses in breast cancer, supposedly had over a 120% increase in standard of care for lung cancer in a Phase II study, and is currently months away from being fully enrolled in a Phase III fast tracked study which is based upon the same standards as the Phase II study that showed a SOC increase of at least 60% , but potentially 120% or more. In addition we have inked a couple of partnerships (non- money though) with some of the most respected companies in the industry with Memorial Sloan Kettering and AstraZenaca, which will continue to expand the Bavituximab clinical program. Lastly, and I think most importantly, we may be the only small biotech company without an approved drug that generates 40 million dollars a year from our wholly owned Manufacturing company AVID, which has just expanded, and continues to have year after year of record high revenues. Let’s not forget the 42 million in backlog revenues. I like this quote from Steve King from the conference call as well “To add just a little more color on that, on the new facility, a lot of the interest comes from the existing client base, even as much as we've had new potential customers coming through. We’re very happy with the response to the new facility, and I think it really opens the door even for future additional expansion, if that's the direction we want to move.”
Great stuff right, but here we are at almost a 52 week low, I mean 1.16, are you friggen kidding me, AVID alone should be worth most of that. So now management is asking for another 175 million shares. Obviously as a shareholder, I feel I have suffered long enough here, but I am also here after 12 years or so, even I forget how long now, and I am sure I speak for the rest of us longs, who although may be frustrated are most likely here to the end whether that is as a goat or a hero.
I have thought long and hard about the request for 175 million shares ( and why do we need so many so fast and is there anything worse then how this management team never treats the shareholders as actual owners), although I can’t wrap my head around it and can only come to a few conclusions.
1) That something big in the form of a partnership or buyout or something that needs these shares is about to happen.
Or
2) We are totally screwed, and they need these shares to keep us a float if the Sunrise trial doesn’t work out.
With those two scenarios, I guess we would have to weigh to which side has the strongest weight. The share price should have no bearing on this, but it doesn’t make any sense whatsoever why we are at where we are at unless it is purposely being kept here. I don’t trust anyone in regards to that concern, including management. I can only hope, based upon everything we have been told and results that have been provided before, that we can assume Sunrise will be a success, but what if it isn’t as rosy as we think.
I have always believed fully in the science, I really can’t recall anything that has truly not been at least decent in the results, if not blow away. I mean there are more connect the dots here than most of us have played with our entire lives, lol. I can’t imagine that if we really have everything locked up tight that my kids may never have to work again with the number of shares I own, isn’t this technology a paradign shift in oncology.
So here I am, 1.16 can’t grasp it! 175 million shares can’t grasp it! Hopefully my vote doesn’t matter either way, but I am still on the edge. But in reality, either way if either one of the scenarios apply, won’t they need the shares anyways.
Here’s hoping and praying that we hear something soon. Would like to hear why the board is not unanimous in this, if this was for a partnership, you would think they would be jumping all over it, which board member would be against a partnership?
Bill
Great analysis bidrite, most likely not far from the truth. You would think we would get a more info on something as huge as this, can we push Steve to air it out in a shareholder letter.
The other 2 are puppets with the puppet master.
My take:
1) No doubt that new Avid facility is a huge add for bottom line, I think anyone investing in this company has to incorporate the value of AVID alone. I mean at 50 million a year and a 51% GP, that value has to be pretty good ( maybe even now somewhere between .50 and up.
2) They are very confident of the Sunrise approval ( which also relates to expansion of AVID above), double hit there and are also wanting to rapidly initiate other trials to add on to the data to expedite the approval process once the Sunrise trial is complete.
3) Treatment landscape will continue to provide areas for the use of Bavi to show how it can enhance other drugs.
Very impressed with the call, I believe we are on the way, but very disappointed that nothing was brought up about the 175 million. For me another finger up at shareholders.
Maybe that was what the chuckle was about, saying next year, but happening soon.
First look in projected beginning of next year?
No Garnick, has he been there the last few cc's?
got it ty
Do we have a conference call coming up prior to the ASM, I didn't see it on the upcoming events on the PPMN website? I thought I had read on the board people indicating it was in September.
Here's a ridiculous thought, how about no ATM selling for a while, and let the stock price rise on its own, then sell the ATM when it's a higher stock price, wow what a novel idea!!
I just can not grasp the concept of selling ATM at every little run up, unless of course you are purposely trying to keep the price deflated.
I was wondering if anyone remembers and had any thoughts on the fact that this big pharmacy consortium was put together shortly( at least announced, so most likely formed a little bit before) the sabotage of our Phase II trial, also interesting is how quickly the other big pharmas all of a sudden had immunotherapy in the forefront. Makes one wonder doesn't it. And we are surprised the share price is where it's at. I am sure there is no conspiracy theory there. I believe this was October 12, 2012

A consortium of leading pharma companies has initiated a project to share historic clinical trial data to speed cancer research. The database--dubbed Project Data Sphere--will use security and anonymization strategies to overcome privacy fears related to sharing patient information.
Project Data Sphere is the brainchild of the CEO Roundtable on Cancer Life Sciences Consortium, which lists a host of Big Pharma companies, CROs and top academic centers as members. In combination, the members are sitting on a treasure trove of data from previous cancer trials that could accelerate development of new therapies.
[Webinar] How to Prepare Your Supply Chain for Emerging Markets' Novel Challenges
DATE: WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9TH | 11AM ET / 8AM PT
With biopharma companies hitching their long-term growth plans to success in emerging markets, they can ill-afford for logistical difficulties in new territories to scuttle their ambitions. This is a real risk, though. Transporting drugs to patients in Brazil, India and China is fraught with multiple challenges for which experience of shipping products in the West offers scant preparation. Register Now!

Sanofi ($SNY) CEO Chris Viehbacher heads the consortium. "Broadly sharing existing clinical trial data for the benefit of all researchers can be a key driver in speeding up cancer research efforts, encouraging innovation, and honoring those patients who have participated in clinical trials," Viehbacher told PharmaTimes. Consortium member GlaxoSmithKline ($GSK) noted similar benefits when committing to share detailed trial data last week.
Access to a pool of historic data could improve population estimates for epidemiological work or allow for ready-made comparisons of different treatment regimens. Researchers have known of these potential benefits for years, but getting companies to share is tricky. Project Data Sphere began taking shape two years ago, PharmaTimes reports, but a formal launch is still months away. Spring 2013 is the current expectation.
In the past, concerns about giving away competitive advantages or violating patient privacy have held the idea back. Advances in data security and anonymization have helped overcome some of these fears. But there is also a recognition that something needs to change if pharma is to make major advances in treating cancer.
"It's taking $2 billion or more to bring a drug to market. At the same time, we've got about the same number of people dying from cancer that we did 30 to 40 years ago. We have got to get more innovative in how we develop cancer drugs," Sanofi oncology VP Charles Hugh-Jones said.

Did I miss a big dump there, looking at 1.22, then bam down to 1.16?
Brilliant strategy, I have been hanging on for 10 years, through all the ups and downs, I may be down 50%, but I would jump out a window if I ever sold now and then Bavi gets approved by end of next year or sooner. We are close to the finish line and I believe that most of us are in the same boat. After what we have been through, all or nothing at this point!!! And don't forget Avid may be worth almost 1/2 of what we are at today.
Question is, what price do you double down!!
Let the games begin again
That is correct, I had researched that before, ridiculous, that is why they have no fear. There are ways to add a member though.
Any link to the news on Friday?
Been thinking something next week as well!!
All I can say is WoW, 120's again is this connecting the dots or etch a scetch!!!
Great questions and responses, surprised they have taken so many.
I like the fact that with the new facility Avid can double capacity, less risk, have always been comfortable with the fact that Avid will be worth $1 a share alone.
New space for Bavi!!
Looking at financial statements, 11 million in customer deposits, also 12 million in construction in progress( avid)
Thanks,
I'll go with 196 million
What was it at the end of the last quarterly, so I am thinking not too many shares at the ATM
Volume doesn't look like any great news or tidbits tomorrow. At least from those in the know.
Champs or Chumps tomorrow while the wait continues. Sept 2012 seems like a long time ago!!
GLTA, hoping for a surprise to shake things up ( on the good side)
Looks like panic should be starting to set in right now. Along with this orchestrated walkdown it appears those in the know have been anticipating this for months. The question is though is it:
1) because they now that nothing substantial will be coming for months/ or longer
Or
2) because they have intentionally walked this down in order to pick up cheapies before the news/ partnership starts flowing
I think its kind of interesting how the price has kind of languished even though we anticipated the confirmation of the fault of CSM and even the potential for a large settlement. Low and behold looks like pennies for that and pushed off until next year.
Avid better than ever, but almost 52 week lows, are you kidding me. Is there a disconnect here?
Can anyone show me a company that is close to full enrollment within 5 months in a Phase III, supported by numerous KOL's, but yet share price has continued to drop?
First look in, where are you?
Just to many coincidences for me, should be an interesting week either way next week?
Dumbfounded as usual
1.20's , what a disgrace!!
Thanks, but wont let me look at stock details under PPHM
Never mind, had to dig deeper, thanks again
Comforting, lol. If there was ever a stock that makes you want to crawl out of your skin some times, I wonder why some people have the handle of frustrated.
Maybe just the mid afternoon games, close back up at high of day, still expecting the pre cc run up.
In addition anyone have a link showing trades on an individual basis for today.
GLTA
Interesting,
We were up to 1.34-1.35 I thought with about 400K in volume, and now down to 1.29 with only an addl 85K in volume, did I miss something here?
Has anyone spoken with FTM, curious about what his thoughts are at the moment?
Hmmm,
Lets see, I think a flat day tomorrow, although Fridays have been unusual. A little run up before the conference call via a few little PR's and anticipation/ hope from most of us that they may let out a few juicy details. Obviously any PR will just be enough to generate a tad bit of volume to allow some ATM sales, then back to this trading range. I figure a 5-10% pop up from here by the 15th , then back down. Keep the core and trade 20 or 30K.
Need a little excitement somewhere this is like watching paint dry, lol.
1.35 gap filled, thanks for the cheapies
Wow , only 50 posts in 24 hours. Sounds eerily quiet here. Narrow trading range as well, let's see who makes the first move or flinches first!!
In regards to the gun being unloaded, I beg to differ. PPHM has more than a gun, they have a cannon, and yesterdays "Immunotherapy Roundtable " discussion was just a warning shot fired over the bow of Big Pharma. They are locked and loaded and have in their sites the biggest breakthrough in the medical field in quite some time. Immunotherapy and Immunotherapy-Oncology Combination Therapies are here to stay and PPHM and PS is the door in. Many doctors, including Kathy Miller from the the Breast Cancer Dept, who sat at the roundtable, were very unaware of the potential of the Immunotherapy approach till recently.
Exciting times indeed. Also interesting to me last night was the part before the discussions began, the mic was open, and I heard some casual discussion between two of the doctors, sounded like one indicated where he was working and that another doctor had just left ( I also thought I heard and good riddens as well, lol). But the point is it was a casual conversation and appeared some of these KOL's had never met before. Can you even imagine the discussions afterward between Brekken and the KOL's together all in the same room. I am sure that PS and the ongoing trials and Bavi didn't come up in conversation at all. If nothing else for PPHM to sponser this and get all the KOL's together with them and to be able to have them all on a one on one basis is invaluable. All KEY EYES ON PPHM.
The biggest news out of ASCO, and I really haven't seen any one touch upon in my book is " How does PPHM actually sponsor the Immunotherapy roundtable" and has all the key speakers attend:
For months Biopharm has been putting puzzle pieces together showing the relationship between PPHM and the Immunotherapy KOL's and then they all get together at the First Roundtable discussion about Immunotherapy direction and breakthroughs. Lets also not forget that Rolf Brekken is at the table and also gets to speak as well.
Maybe its me, but does anyone else read into the fact that PPHM was able to put this together, I don't care whether they are sponsoring it or not ( paid or not paid). Something much bigger going on here IMO.
The price is smoke and mirrors as far as I am concerned, 1.41 is a joke, the lid has not come off yet. Listen to the call again especially Dimitri's comments. He practically told us how much he was impressed with Bavi, I think he had to hold his tongue as well, as to not to show any partiality with Bavi and PPHM as well.
Soon, as in sooner than we think!!
