Ouch!!! Well There you go..... That should give you some hope that SPSNQ could see much better days ahead:)
What's up with all the small biotech pharms as of late?
OSCI,CEGE,LJPC,GNBT,and my favorite CTIC:) all going cuckoo for cocoo puffs at the moment?
utmost didn't you have or still have a position in LJPC??
Wish I would have kept mine a month ago.....Oh well, (ces't la vie)

I never said that delisted companies don't sometimes rebound and make a comeback. Their are several I'm sure. I just know the statistics are not very promising. SIXF is having a run up & is getting pumped right now because of earnings release tomorrow. Hopefully SPSNQ will encounter similar action very soon.

The Dirt On Delisting for those you don't already know.....
Delisting doesn't necessarily mean that a company is going to go bankrupt. Just as there are plenty of private companies that survive without the stock market, it is possible for a company to be delisted and still be profitable. However, delisting can make it more difficult for a company to raise money, and in this respect, it sometimes is a first step towards bankruptcy. For example, delisting may trigger a company's creditors to call in loans, or its credit rating might be further downgraded, increasing its interest expenses and potentially even pushing it into the red.
How Does It Affect You?
As a shareholder, you should seriously revisit your investment decision in a company that has become delisted; in many cases, it may be better to cut your losses. A firm unable to meet the listing requirements of the exchange upon which it is traded is quite obviously not in a great position. Each case of delisting needs to be looked at on an individual basis. However, being kicked out of an exclusive club such as the NYSE or the Nasdaq is about as disgraceful for a company as it is prestigious for it to be listed in the first place.
Even if a company continues to operate successfully after being delisted, the main problem with getting booted from the exclusive club is the trust factor. People lose their faith in the stock. When a stock trades on the NYSE or Nasdaq, it has an aura of reliability and accuracy in reporting financial statements. When a company's stock is demoted to the OTCBB or pink sheets, it loses its reputation. Pink sheet and OTCBB stocks lack the stringent regulation requirements that investors come to expect from NYSE and Nasdaq-traded stocks. Investors are willing to pay a premium for shares of trustworthy companies and are (understandably) leery of firms with shady reputations.
Another problem for delisted stocks is that many institutional investors are restricted from researching and buying them. Investors who already own a stock prior to the delisting may be forced by their investment mandates to liquidate their positions, further depressing the company's share price by increasing the selling supply. This lack of coverage and buying pressure means the stock has an even steeper climb ahead to make it back on to a major exchange.
If one of your stocks is delisted, the company basically has two options. It can choose to trade on the Over the Counter Bulletin Board (OTCBB) or the pink sheets system. Usually, if the company is current with the release of its financial statements, it will trade on the OTCBB, as it is more regulated than the Pink Sheets (although both are much less regulated than the major exchanges). If the company is unable to trade on the OTCBB, it will likely end up trading on the Pink Sheets - the least regulated market for a publicly-traded equity.
When a stock drops down to either the OTCBB or the Pink Sheets, it suffers a loss in investors' confidence, as the company failed to meet the requirements of the trusted major exchanges. If the company remains delisted beyond a short period of time, institutional investors will likely stop researching and trading the stock, which means individual investors have access to much less information about the company. Liquidity and trading volume drop off as a result.
Now, throughout this entire process, you still legally own your shares in the company (should you choose not to sell them). However, delisting is generally regarded as the first step toward potential Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Should one of your stocks be delisted from a major exchange, it would be prudent to review carefully the reasons for its removal and the impact it will have on you as an investor - as you may not want to continue holding the stock.
Conclusion
Some argue that delisting is too harsh because it punishes stocks that could still recover. However, allowing such companies to stay listed would result in the major exchanges simply diluting the caliber of the companies that trade on them and degrading the respectability of the companies that maintain the listing requirements. Therefore, if a company that you own is delisted, it may not spell inevitable doom, but it is certainly a black mark on that company's reputation and, if the company can't recover, a sign of diminishing returns down the road.

VICL 2.10, +0.08, +4.0%) announced today that the company has entered into a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA(i)) with the U.S. Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC), a biomedical research organization within the U.S. Navy, for the expedited development of a vaccine against the potentially pandemic H1N1 strain of influenza virus. The goal of the collaborative development program is to rapidly advance a Vaxfectin(r)-formulated H1N1 DNA vaccine into clinical testing as quickly as possible. Vical would be responsible for securing regulatory approval of the vaccine for use in the United States and other countries.
"The rapid spread and potential impact of H1N1 influenza have led to a U.S. government declaration of a health care emergency and a World Health Organization (WHO) declaration of a Phase 5 pandemic alert," said Vijay B. Samant, Vical's President and Chief Executive Officer. "We believe our technology is particularly well-suited to emerging infectious diseases like H1N1 influenza for which conventional vaccine technologies are too slow in both development and manufacturing. The successful completion of Phase 1 human trials of our Vaxfectin(r)-formulated DNA vaccines against H5N1 pandemic influenza last year positions us to pursue rapid development of a vaccine to address the threat of an influenza pandemic. We are pleased to collaborate with the U.S. Navy on this H1N1 vaccine development mission."

I Loaded up in AH.....This should take off nicely tomorrow:)

Something tells me Cowboy that your not going to stop buying up shares no matter how low she might go. Keep doing it, eventually you will nail the bottom soon enough. You got balls, or just a lot of cash to gamble with. Hope it pays off big for you down the road:)
P.S. you still have a position in CSAR. If so what are your thoughts on today's move? You can post a response on CSAR board if you want.
I don't understand why you believe that spansion's delisting is going to be good news? This was known first thing when PR came out that they would be trading on the OTCB as SPSNQ. Show me a percentage of companies that get delisted at these levels that bounce back in the long run? If their is no massive news to really move this in the future, then I wouldn't expect much to happen.JMO
Everyone's entitled to their own opinions and I understand that, but to be selling the fact that everything is going to be O.K & not to worry? That's just wrong dude.....
I wouldn't stress to anyone to BUY/SELL or HOLD. However I would recommend that people do their own DD/research on statistical info in these circumstances. Just be cusious and understand what this might now mean. Their is that chance that they will get their value up some day & trade on the major markets again, but understand the odds and the risk involved.
I wish you all the best of luck!
I think after today including AH trading we see CTIC gap up in premarket tomorrow over $2.IMO
Where it goes from their is anyone's guess. It All depends on ER and the conference tomorrow. Usually with any huge spikes and gap ups look for pullbacks to occur. Tomorrow I expect a very volatile trading session. IMO
GLTA:)
Wow heavy trading going on right now Bid & Ask is all over the place. I suppose we can expect some type of pull back to occur.
It's been a while since i have had this much excitement with a stock.
Congrats to all the longs here. Patience has payed off big time:)
I think we could see $2 today people.WOWWY WOW WOW:)
I am loving every minute watching CTIC trade. This is awesome:)
GO CTIC GO
Yep....I probably should have done the same here, but I have a rule That I have to follow. When I double up I sell half and ride the freebies.
GLTA
Holy S%#@....Look @ her go:) Unbelievable....My order went through @ $1.20 and sold half for a nice double down:)
GLTA
Yeah baby! CTIC over the $1 mark. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Wow, she is really taking off now:) can we see $1 perhaps?
GLTA
This really sucks for SPSN. It's never a good thing when a company gets delisted, and expect their share price to drop in coming days now.IMO
However SPSN has a lot of potential still for a possible future buyout. They also look like they will one day emerge from CH 11 BK with positive cash flow. Theirs a lot of positive possibilities in SPSN future, and wish all the longs here good luck.
I don't think we'll see 0.05 today. But perhaps we'll see it tomorrow or Friday under SPSNQ. IMO
Because it's still on my watch list. I have been following SPSN for a while now. I hope a lot of you are able to make some money on a bounce play today. Because this is going to drop tomorrow as a pinky,IMO
GLTA
Dude I don't know why your getting so excited That SPSN is down nearly 50% right now and is going to be delisted tomorrow??
Yes there will probably be a nice bounce play somewhere here today. But this is going to end up a lot lower in the near future.IMO
I'm happy I sold my position @ .185 on Monday.....Whew,I do feel for all the longs right now. I hope it finds it's way back up some day.
GLTA
TGIC aint no PUMP & DUMP and looks to be ready for a nice swing up.IMO I have been comparing other same sector stocks that are now in the stage of a nice rally....EX: MBI,ABK,RDN,PMI & TGIC all have very similar charts. Their was a reason for the heavy buying last Friday, and I think With earnings out next week we should see TGIC have another nice run up very soon.IMO
GLTA:)
PEIX looking real nice right now.........Jumped in @ .52 this morning:)
Yeah baby, Broke the $10 mark:) It's been a while, but it's sure is nice to see MGM back in double digits again. Teens are not far away.IMO
GLTA
I do agree, I wish I could hold my position in SPSN and just forget about it. Unfortunately I don't have the cash to do so right now. I need to keep trading to make $$$$ on a daily/weekly basis & can't afford to watch & wait while this trades sideways. However I do believe that SPSN Longs will be rewarded in the near future.IMO
GLTA:)
Looks like this rocket has run out of fuel once again:( I have a stop loss order in @ 0.18 so I'll probably give it the rest of this afternoon before I dump my position. Lets hope for a refuel so that we see another spike soon. GLTA
Mmmmmmmmmm I can smell them .20's..... come on boy, you can do it:)
Hey 714trader, you still have a position in SQNM? If so, You won't miss much by selling that one today. JMO
GLTY
Good morning all. Jumped back into SPSN @ .18:) Looking good right now. GLTA
Yeah their is a lot of speculations at the moment for the cause of Friday's spike up. I value & appreciate any factual insight/ info and will continue to do as much DD as possible. I am just an outsider like most here. Trying to dig deep to find as much possible cause/outlook as I can.
GLTA:)
As I look into my crystal ball I can see a gap up $1+ come Mondays open. Will have a small pullback in the AM & continue to climb in afternoon & into close. JMO
But in all seriousness, I really don't know what to expect tomorrow. Their is something cooking here that is driving TGIC up up & away. Whether it be a leak of some sort or insider buying or a possible buyout? I think we'll be hearing something soon.IMO
I don't believe this to be a pump & dump like several people believe this to be. I didn't see any major dumping/sell off, just a normal pull back towards the EOD. You Have to expect with such a spike up on NO news, that their will be profit takers. We seen a strong close with good buying pressure EOD Friday. I wouldn't look at the AH close of $1 for a sign of what to expect Monday. With only 8k traded & bid remained @ .80 doesn't represent to me what's to come. JMO
Keep in mind with only 15M shares outstanding & 2M shorted 12% we could see an interesting squeeze occur.
I'm hoping to see a gap up of 1+ @ tomorrow's open. We shall see soon enough.
GLTA:)
How does privatization affect a company's shareholders?
The most recognized transition between the private and public markets is an initial public offering (IPO). Through an IPO, a private company "goes public" by issuing shares, which transfer a portion of ownership in the company to those who buy them. However, transitions from public to private also occur. In public to private market transactions, a group of investors purchases most of the outstanding shares in the public company and makes it private by delisting it. The reasons behind the privatization of a company vary, but it often occurs when the company becomes heavily undervalued in the public market.
The process of making a public company private is relatively simple and involves far fewer regulatory hurdles than the private to public transition. At the most basic level, the private group will make an offer to the company and its shareholders. The offer will stipulate the price the group is willing to pay for the company's shares. Once the majority of the voting shares have accepted the offer, shares of the company are sold to the private bidder, and the company becomes privately held.
The biggest obstacle in this process is getting the acceptance of a company's shareholders, the majority of which need to accept the offer in order for the transition to be completed. If the deal is accepted by the shareholders, the company's buyer will pay a consenting group of shareholders the purchase price for each share they own. For example, if a shareholder owns 100 shares and the buyer offers $26 per share, the shareholder will receive $2,600 and relinquish his or her shares. There is a large benefit to this type of transaction for investors, as the private group usually offers a substantial premium for the shares compared to the current market value of the firm.
An example of a public company that became private is Toys "R" Us. In 2005, a purchasing group paid $26.75 per share to the company's shareholders - more than double the stock's $12.02 closing price on the New York Stock Exchange in January 2004, the trading day before the company announced it was considering dividing the company. As this example shows, shareholders are usually well compensated for relinquishing their shares.
Great Video, Thanks for the post:)
It was a great week for HGSI:) we seen a bit of a pull back yesterday(to be expected)I think next week will be just as good if not better.IMO
GLTA:)
Nice call by the way:) This should be interesting come Monday....
GLTA & have a great weekend:)
Theirs nothing wrong with jumping out with some gains. No doubt that this is a risky play @ the moment, so I can understand:)
I'm watching this very closely, and I might even pull the pin if this gets down just below $4.
I'm not sure a good or bad market will have too much impact on SQNM at the moment. Their is much bigger things that will be driving this in either direction.
GLTY:)
This will either close @ .75 or $1.25. Took some off the top @ .96
GLTA:)
NP mazmania, The price you chose is directly up to you. My opinion is if this reaches near yesterday's bottom of $3.23 I would stress concern @ that point that it might be heading much lower. I changed my STOP LOSS order from $3.00 yesterday to $3.75 today. The more it moves up, the more my STOP LOSS limit price increases. JMO

I know bobentley I know! Wooooooo Hoooooooo, I just wish I had more cash this morning to load up like a SOB.
GLTA:)
I guess a pull back is to be expected at some point, But that was sure exciting to watch:)
Yeah I wouldn't stress it man! If their is no poor PR next week this should plummet to $2 IMO
In any volatile stock you will have people bashing to sell & others pumping to buy, that's normal. Try not to take what people say on Yahoo message boards to serious. You have to filter the trash and absorb the facts.
I recommend this one be played safe and set yourself a STOP LOSS ORDER to limit any POSSIBLE future losses.
