did the career thing long enough.

ok...i just placed and order...let's see if i can pull it down some more...
nothing but positive tidbit after positive tidbit, yet no broad value increase. they either have a stealth plan, or they're clueless. this is a very good stock price level for placing bets on the board.
should i buy more and quadruple the additional investment in 3 months, or will that just be an exercise in parking dead money for another year or two?
it's baloney that I proved I don't understand the impact of the ATM..
it seems some people don't understand that it's all ground clutter (or maybe verga?) until or unless we get real news that announces partnering, gov't grants, or big-time clinical results. the rest of this stuff volume/technical/ATM PIPE action DOES NOT MATTER if that stuff happens because it will DWARF the damage you're worried about.
If it is UU, it still won't matter much if the news is what they've been intimating it might be.
If the news is lousy, we will have been duped again, and many here will give it "just 1 more year!" :)
everybody knew about the ATM already...
again: be more concerned about the price on july 1 than march 19
what does everyone expect this to do on no news? nobody justified why it went up recently, and nobody can justify why it's going down now. we all know there are some supposedly big news days coming within 90 days, and they'll either make it take off or we'll head back down to $2 again......why don't we just see how it unfolds and stop the unfounded BS theories just because there's nothing substantive to talk about now...
aren't you negative souls ignoring the fact that it's going down on very light volume, particularly when compared to the volume it spikes up on?
the negative folks harp on technical patterns without giving volume its due...
when it goes down $.30 on 600,000 shares, wake me up.
so charlie...
as an M&A guy..
what is your take at the moment on how PPHM goes? do you see some kind of takeout as likely before the pps could go north of $20, or does the PP really make to difficult/impractical to expect it to happen? if so, if the science proves to be strong (meaning that it gets validated enough to be a marketable drug with acceptance even if it's not a silver bullet), at what point/share price does a takeout become reasonable?
the fact that it's holding the gains is excellent.
holy sh**
can it really be happening?
jake...i hope you're on target.
this thing is starting to make my knees knock....could it be that that the pot o' gold at the end of the rainbow is really right around the corner?
ain't that the truth
KT
i'm just trying not to have rose-colored glasses!
the pre-split $4 was in the bubble days...i suspect that won't happen again, and the imclone jump was from later-stage results than we have, wasn't it?
phase II results would have to be almost beyond belief for this to become a billion-dollar-plus enterprise with no drugs bringing in revenue for a couple more years. that would leave time for pullbacks, buyout, merger, etc., which COULD suppress the upside...
i am very hopeful that we will all be rewarded for our brilliance in attaching our boats to this engine!
i'd be shocked if this ever made it past $15....it would get taken out before it would have a chance to explode to the upside.
but i'd take $15 for sure right about now
how about some ACTION!!!
waiting, waiting, waiting.... SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!!
if we're going to be a $10-15 stock before long, isn't it about time we start moving???
time for some more insider purchases. having all of the big boys stepping up, validating Swartz's move, would send a more effective sign to the market than the kind of BS PRs they've dribbled out over time...
this slow, steady, quiet upward tick is EXACTLY what we need to set up some big jumps in the future that will be smaller percentage gains as they happen....such larger gains are easier to hold when they don't appear to be knee-jerks....
let's not forget that we often finish down after good news...
have to say it again...this stock won't make a sustained, substantive move unless the news is about $$$$$$$$$$$$ coming in...
it's the high target and low target...doesn't make sense...probably some semi-automated feed...
that $10 target is worthless....there is 1 outfit that posted the target...essentially nobody is following pphm.
the stock is not moving at all. i understand that there my be a lot of people keeping an eye on it who may jump in before long and make it move, but i'd feel a whole lot better if it was creeping up steadily now...
unfortunately, the investment community still doesn't seem to think we're worth jack sh**.
chinese water torture waiting...
it's moving too far too fast for the relative volume....i want to trust it, but i don't yet.
gotta say, though, that we're about due for some more positive news any day...
wouldn't it be nice to have an nice big high-volume upward move to warm us up this february week?
i think the skeptics are missing what might be the elephant in the room.
they need to make 5 milestones out of 8.
they cover 3 categories.
they must be met AS SOON AS 6/30/2010....and BY 7/2011.
that's a tall order for meaningful results.
I suspect they'll get nothing or
millions.
we've made it this far...let's see what happens.
i'll get excited when somebody starts throwing real money around. until then, spare us the BS.
yeah...
don't sweat the small moves in either direction. while we have been waiting for insider buys in the open market, it's like geo said earlier....we're waiting for BIG moves before we get excited.
i seem to recall that we just went from the $2.60s to the $3somethings in a week. i think $3.16 is ok for today.
patience is difficult to be sure after all this time, but let's not get crazy here. if we're not moving big by mid-June, we'll have cause to worry...until then, don't sweat the small moves.
so all of a suddenit IMplodes
green..it is compelling that they've brought in some legitimate heavyweights with experience in bringing game-changers to market...the atmosphere is definitely different around here...
i doubt they'd sign on for a long shot...
pleasepleaseplease explode
$10 only makes it a $490,000,000 enterprise. if this stuff really does what King implies it does, it will be far beyond $10 within a year or two...more like north-of-$30. it's hard to believe it might actually happen, and it's harder to be remain patient every day. on the other hand, if the double-blind trial is only 'good' instead of 'great', we'll continue to plod along indefinitely....yuck
i've decided to believe that volume is low because the MMs and institutions are working out their strategies for loading up at the prices they're comfortable with. it makes me feel all warm inside.
the market cap under $175,000,000 seems to be unreasonably low considering the unbroken string of successful clinical results over the past 3 years. adding credentialed execs in key positions in conjunction with the expected reporting of larger studies shortly gives the appearance that this thing is indeed about to take off.
look around at other smallish companies...it doesn't take much to have that kind of market cap.
i suspect we're going to leave the bollinger bands in the dust soon....
i had a dream like this
$24.72 to go to retirement
word is that they've been in talks
oh lafont...ye of little faith....
PAY ATTENTION!!!!
it ALWAYS moves up after a couple weeks on wall to wall drivel by the usual suspects as it sinks...
i suspect tax selling has already been happening, and contributing to the the downward pressure, jess.
i finally agree that it's awful that the insiders are not buying as a show of faith that the company is undervalued, even if it ISN'T! we deserve some kind of acknowledgement that it's a reasonable expectation for them to attempt to at least stabilize the share price.
the longer they don't, the more they encourage this to be a traders stock alone instead of being an investment. no wonder the big money isn't stepping up.
the traditional detractors are right about one thing...management does not give a hoot about common investor shareholders.
it's bouncing off $2.61!
it is truly amazing that everyone complains about congressmen being influenced by big money and lobbyists, but they don't complain enough to stop sending their own representatives back...i guess we think it's only the guys from the other states who are crooked...
the media is equally critical in both directions. While it's true that the journalistic intelligencia leans to the left, they are factual reporters first. News and commentary are not the same, and Fox has blurred those lines more than msnbc and cnn combined while they would have you believe they're the purists. laughable.
this, by the way, is related to PPHM.
Secrecy and back-channel dealings leave voters (shareholders) in the dark. We are virtually powerless and are continually played like fiddles.
I am strongly in favor of increased shareholder rights...not necessarily so I can vote against directors...more because I think more transparency is needed. that transparency will come when the directors can be threatened at the ballot box. We certainly don't scare them now.
