January 11
several people have claimed that they have sent emails to JD in the past and don't get a reply.
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=45654733
There are others that have posted the same thing.
Here is the email I sent...
Mr. Brown,
XXXXXXXXX stated today on IHUB (I am sure you read
it) that there are pictures available of etc. cabinets that aren't
available on the website. She said that you were providing these
pictures to anyone that asked.
I know that you would never break Regulation FD so please feel free to email them to me at this address.
Also please explain how the upper cabinets slide in without any tools. Other people have told me that you explained this to them and again I would hate for you to violate Reg FD.
Thank you so much. I look forward to serving you as a long term critic.
here is the email I replied to from JD to me...
"Actually, Nothing. I tried to call you as well.
> I wanted to tell you
> personally that you will soon be served by our private
> investigation
> firm and we will publicly disclose this action. You
> will be named
> publicly in our lawsuit against you, in behalf of myself,
> the company,
> and its shareholders. Just thought you would rather
> here it from me,
> than from some random, anonymous, person on the internet
> who discovers
> the actions.
>
> Take care, have a great day!"
Which was in reply to my email of this...
I hear you are interested in talking. What can I do for
> you?
There are parties that I trust that have been forwarded copies of all of these things and can verify them. If they want to speak publicly to verify them I would appreciate it.
there is a difference between being available for sale and actually selling.
I don't think they are selling truckloads at all.
I took it to mean that they would be offering etc. for sale by the truckload.
"container pricing" is not uncommon in two step dist.
Very large contractors will sometimes buy supplies by the container load at a nice discount and then act as a "dealer" for the excess.
but i did answer
Yes. You did.
And I do actually appreciate the answer.
Just wanted to know if these were freebie gift cabinets as test subjects or if they were purchased. To me it makes a difference, and I would think it does to others too. But maybe not.
why is that an issue?
I am not sure if you are just ignoring my answer to this question or what, but I will repeat it AGAIN.
I am already waiting for a response to my request from over ten days ago for the pictures that you said JD was passing out to people.
Obviously at this point I can presume he isnt going to answer me. So if other people already have this info it would seem it makes a heck of a lot of sense for me to ask them.
"The company continues to prepare for a retail implementation of ETC. (Easy Transitional Cabinetry). Due to circumstances beyond our control it will be delayed for some undetermined period. Discussions continue with one home-center chain regarding our ETC. product. Production of ETC. brand cabinets for commercial use will continue as scheduled. Additionally, truckload quantities of our ETC. product will soon be available through two step distribution. Additional details regarding distribution channels will be forethcoming."
JD needs a prufreedur.
I would hope that sooner or later that stupid no tools required business will be dropped altogether. Its idiotic.
etc was tested out .. and specifically per
mgmt .. all of the before and after kitchens
along with almost every other kitchen cabinet
shown is etc cabinetry .. including those with
dates of 2008 .. some as i understand it are
individual home owners
Just so I am 100% certain and there is no tweaking afterward which is very common when discussing Expo. He did not misspeak right?
You didn't misinterpret him? JD was clear and concise when explaining these to you picture by picture right? Again, I would ask myself, but my request for pictures has gone unanswered.
One last point of clarification too...Did JD mention if these people paid for etc. cabinets? Just trying to gauge the interest level. If they were free or paid for would obviously make a difference.
The longer ago it was could almost even be a positive because some testimonials in a couple years of people that changed faces and were paying customers could be quite beneficial.
I do not believe the esteemed investors of DFW would do that.
Surely this Piper chick is using layla's pic.
Laura why do you have layla's pic as your signature?
Get me an answer to this question regarding etc.
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=46388875
Get me an exact quote from management about that topic in that thread.
and I will PM you the details.
Nope..I said what I said..are you saying
they will never be offered at a home center?? Because I say they will..So..if you would you like to go on record by posting they won't..please do..
I would say anyone that thinks they are "crapinets" can say yes or no to that without an in between answer..Later...veno
Technically Bob's Hardware store on the corner can be considered a "home center".
But i will go on record saying I don't believe these cabinets will ever be carried by lowe's or home depot or menards or target or sears.
I actually know for certain a group of people on the east coast sent some emails interested in wanting to buy some cabinets and none of them got a response.
I actually think they are lucky they didn't get a response because they probably would have been stuck with buyer's remorse.
They are since quite pleased.
Jd will gladly tell you how busy and slammed they are.
So that makes it true?
I can think of 22 million reasons not to believe such statements.
Followed by 12 million more and 4 million more and 17 million more and 100 million after that and what is looking like 6 million more too.
but wait...
do their attorneys charge 2200 bucks an hour?
There is a sor that has one on retainer.
Wait until they are offered at a home center and then go see for yourself
You mean to say if it is ever available of course.
You betcha.
I sure would like to get confirmation as well.
Would really be nice to know for certain if etc. was being sold and installed back in july of 2008.
Could I see a link to where they are available for sale yet?
Nope. Because it doesn't exist.
Now why is that???
We ever see that preliminary q?
There will be no marketing until ETC is ready for retail sales
Marketing doesn't only get the end user to buy. It helps get retailers and distributors to carry the product. They need a reason to buy etc. also.
How do you think it works?
JD just makes phone calls?
You just can't make this stuff up.
It was posted by Gambler. It was an email response to him from TDA.
EXPH recently announced that they will recognize ownership or transfer of their shares only by physical certificate instead of the modern electronic book-entry system. They are encouraging shareholders to convert their stock to physical certificates.
Where companies convert to physical certificates only, it has become extremely difficult and, in some cases, impossible for brokerage firms like TD AMERITRADE to obtain shares for their clients. This can make settlement in a timely fashion difficult.
Converting to physical delivery also increases the costs associated with transferring ownership of common stock between buyers and sellers.
Still can't believe the complete lack of outrage over another asinine decision by management.
I think the question needs to be asked.
JD are you deliberately trying to tank the price?
Unless someone actually gets to see one in operation..all of these posts about anything above and beyond the one we see on the website video are just speculation..
which of course proves my point about how dumb the marketing has been.
thanks.
I have got to get on board with them.
That PFOB reverse merger is going to be amazing.
Lots of starlets working there.
she should have given PFOB a plug tonight after her song.
I've owned stores that had contracted installers and I know that most of them do other things as well. They are pretty handy. Thinking that installing windows and doors is all that they are capable of doing is very shortsited
Who cares if they are handy?
The point is that they aren't licensed for it.
In my city you can't even switch out an outlet as a contractor and be in compliance with code without being a licensed electrician.
You can't move a gas line without being licensed or install any plumbing either. Nevermind the insurance side of it.
What would be more valuable for etc. would be the salesmen. Get a slick salesman in somebody's kitchen selling them on etc. would be far more valuable than the team of window installers. In fact they would probably NOT use the same installers anyway.
Now is it possible to get these things and get trained or whatever? Of course it is possible. Anything is possible.
And if you read a bit, I have already acknowledged it is possible in a prior post.
I have zero doubts they could be trained. But lets be honest. Going from installing windows to being a full service cabinet installer is a huge leap.
Think about what's involved with replacing kitchen cabinets.
Countertops
Sink
Dishwasher
Stove/oven(possibly built in)
undercabinet lighting
Now its obviously possible. But then factor in that WW is a franchise org. Nationwide implementation would take years.
Which is fine. The more I think about it, it could actually work. It would also give Expo a chance to slowly grow, if it worked.
clarity is already provided.
Simple google searches already clear it all up regarding etc.
where legit co.s
like expo/exph are concerned
This was a comical statement right?
Just want to go on record and say Beth Chaky is hot.
Carry on.
Can't. Stop. Laughing.
The website is not finished because the company
has not spun-off yet and no retailer is offering it
You keep saying this. It is an excuse.
Why on earth would the company need to be spun off before they could upgrade the website?
They wouldn't. The spin off will be called etc. The product is the product. You cant provide a single rational reason why they would have to wait.
Distributors want to know that they are going to get support from the manufacturer or Master Distributor. You don't only sell retailers and distributors on your product via sales presentations and handshakes.
We know that the major retailer was being trained
Ummmm.. No we don't. We know nothing. JD has kept everybody in the dark. The only thing we know is that we can't find these things for sale by a distributor or retailer. Anything else is fabricated.
I have zero doubts they could be trained. But lets be honest. Going from installing windows to being a full service cabinet installer is a huge leap.

The 100 million claim in 2-3 years was a joke. I think everybody knows that now. There might be some denial, but I think most realize that things don't go from 0-100 million that quick when it has been over 6 months and nobody can find it for sale.
Really??
So you don't believe that someone that has been trained to install windows could be trained to install a cabinet.
I do believe people can be trained to install cabinets.
Don't you realize how silly it sounds though to believe window world is involved to help train new installers if they themselves need to be trained?
What the heck would window world be bringing to the table then?
Its one thing to say WW would be involved for their sales staff, its out in left field to say that they are involved to train people on installing.
The one thing I know for certain is that the product has been marketed terribly so far. Now either that was just stupidity, in which case shareholders are screwed, or it was because there was no need to focus on it anymore as they changed gears and decided to abandon the easy to install marketing plan and go with a Window world type approach. We don't know much about what is going on, but we do know that you can't find it for sale anywhere yet and we know that you cant view it as a working system online.
If I was a shareholder I would sure as heck be holding out hope that they were going to be changing gears instead of executing a piece of garbage marketing plan.
People can say all they want that they have faith in management or whatever else. It does not change the fact that the etc. website sucks. It has very few details. There are very few pics. There is no confirmation that it is a complete line. It mentions things that should not be mentioned on a consumer focused site. Anybody that says that the etc. website is good has zero clue about web design and zero clue about marketing.
"That said" if they had switched focus to a WW type sales plan going forward and abandoned the ridiculous easy to install angle then that would actually be a reasonable explanation for why the marketing has been terrible.
So my thoughts are that they were providing the training to that retailer..
Really? So window world is providing cabinet training to a nationwide retailer?
Come on. Why on earth would a company that sells mainly vinyl products and has zero history of cabinets be providing training?
