Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question... but I got into SMXT earlier this week and inspite of really low volume it has gone up (not complaining : )). Yesterday the bid was .35 and the ask .65 and last was .65 and was the same this morning. Bid is now .35, ask .70 and last .70 with volume of only 4500. Doesn't that seem like a wide gap between bid and ask? If a trade went through at .65 and then at .70 wouldn't the bid come up? Maybe someone could explain this to me or let me know where I should ask about this (I'm using QuoteTracker). tia

"victim is the small company" - About IPO Betrayal
Here's a good article about the IPO issue
http://www.fortune.com/indexw.jhtml?channel=artcol.jhtml&doc_id=202138
"No one is more incensed than renowned VC Donald Valentine, who backed Yahoo and Cisco: "The new company is not the customer," he says. "The bank's customer is the institutional investor. The victim is the small company that needs money." "

Getting IP without a subpoena! Legal too!
This guy has been fake pumping this stock I follow for a year. Whenever I post honest information he bashes me calling me every disgusting name in the book. Well, last night I got him! without a subpoena. Muahahaha.
I was going to get a subpoena to get his IP so I could threaten to go after him just to get him to shut up but it wouldnt' have been worth filing a suit. So, I found another way.
I uploaded a pic in my site with his name on it. I posted a link to that pic in the board saying it was a special picture I made just for him. There are only three people on that board and I know the other one so I would be able to tell who clicked on it. Sure enough, he clicked on it and even commented about it in a post with a date stamp.
I then went and checked my raw logs and did find file and the pic name. There was his IP address. I also saw my buddies and mine but the time stamp was within seconds of his post. I traced his IP address and found his server. I also saw what type of computer he was on, what windows software and what browser he was using.
I just went and posted that info on the board and this guy is going crazy! Now he thinks I already started a lawsuit. Hopefully it'll get him to shut up with all the nasty stuff and the fake pumping. I don't care if he speaks his mind about the stock but when he's lying saying it's going to shoot to the moon when it's almost bankrupt, that's another story.
I'm telling you guys this in case someone is on your tail. If I could figure this out, others can too so don't click on any link they made just for you. Of course all I can get is the IP and ISP. From there they'd still have to subpoena the ISP to get the real info. but it does save getting one subpoena. Anyone want to know how to do this, eme at mmmaryinla@aol.com

BWWLE looks interesting... guess if I'm gonna pay at the gas pumps and pay up the kazoo for electricity... I might as well try to make a profit on these gas/energy companies and get some of my money back!

Could you explain a couple things about Bernards leads display? Is the "Pulse" column the lead for today? Does red mean down indicated? What's the difference with the items in the Impact Date column? Thanks for any light you can shed on this.

In general, Ambra seems to be poised at the right place at the right time with the lining up of Petroleum projects. And in particular, if the US energy policy falls the right way for them (reference latest PR http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/010523/0240.html), things could get very sweet. I can attest as a Californian that anything energy related is the hot place to be right now! Wanna know what my last utility bill was? lol
Would you consider this a "developmental" stage company? I was kind of surprised reading the last 10Q filing that the company is incorporated in Utah. Are they Canadian based or US based?
Also, their website should be updated to reflect the current news.... but hopefully they're busy getting those oil wells into production : )
From 10Q
"Some of the wells are near the production stage, however, additional costs will be required to bring them into production."
Looking promising, but I feel it may take a while longer for them to put everything together. But, I'm patient.

Thank muel!

"Overall I'd say this is a pretty safe bet for investors, you do good work Sara, thanks for bring it to my attention."
Your welcome and thanks for your feedback. I've been surprised this little GEMM hasn't gotten more attention already. From what I understand the DeBeers report is very promising, so it's just a matter of management putting it all together, getting the proper licensing, and to finish getting the operation rolling... which, from their reports, everything seems to moving along well.
I don't normally recommend stocks and even less so pennies, but this is my current favorite. But as always, I'm certainly no expert, so this is all my opinion and please everyone do your own dd and make your own decisions.
I should "borrow" one of those canned disclaimers for this board and for my posts. Do you have one handy Muel?
Sara : )
"P.S. The above is a true recount of what some folks have posted on Raging Bull/IH about me...Go figure."
Sounds like one of those conspiracy theory wackos.

Update from GEMM Management! Looks like they are getting close to being operational.
Management Report Update June 11, 2001
----------------------------------------------
The Joint Venture has seen a great deal of progress since the last Management Report on May 8th. This latest report follows updates from site employees and Dr. Mousseau Tremblay and the business discussed in our most recent Joint Venture Committee meetings.
Plant Rehabilitation
Management is particularly pleased to report that the mill rehabilitation is now complete and the site is now fully prepared to process uncemented gravels. Sample tailings have been used to fine-tune the plant for peak efficiency. Ron Turner and his crew have performed an excellent job in the rehabilitation and completion of this endeavor and we are indebted to his dedication.
The Joint Venture Committee is presently in discussions as to the acquisition of an Attrition Scrubber for the processing of cemented gravels. The cost for this piece of equipment will be approximately $120,000 USD. It should be emphasised that this purchase will allow expansion of the plant to a capability to process cemented gravels and its installation is not required at this stage to start production on the site.
At present, the level of remaining funds in the Joint Venture's account is healthy and with careful accounting should adequately cover the initial stages of ore processing. We are currently addressing acquisition of the required heavy plant to be timed with the expected finalization of government approval.
Mineral Sampling Program
The mineral sampling program, is diligently being carried out by our local geologist as planned and the final report on chemical analyses of indicator minerals from gravels neighboring one of the principal geophysical anomalies on the property is being prepared by JMC's geologist Dr. Mark Hutchison. Preliminary results have shown a significant abundance of kimberlitic picro-ilmenites amongst the heavy mineral separates strengthening indication of the proximity of kimberlitic host bodies.
Governmental Filings
A FEMA (Brazilian EPA) official visited the property on June 7th. FEMA have now issued their license and their site report has forwarded to IBAMA (Federal Authority) for their finalization and approval. We anticipate that this will be forthcoming within a week. The issuance of the proper licenses and permits has proven to be the single largest obstacle that the project has recently had to overcome and was the major cause for the delays in the start-up of operations. Management does not anticipate any complications or further delays pertaining to licensing or permits.
Local Land Owners
Agreements are forthcoming between JMML and the local land owners for the rights to operate on their land. At this stage we anticipate closing rental deals involving a pre-arranged sum rather than a percentage. In particular this will avoid the need for time consuming independent monitoring of diamond production and grade. The Joint Venture maintains good relationships with all of our landowners and management anticipates no obstacles or delays in the negotiations that are currently underway.
Juina Mining Corporation Re-organization for Return to Bulletin Board
Management is pleased to report that all SEC required documents necessary to move forward with JMC's return to Bulletin Board status have been presented to corporate council for evaluation and subsequent submission and filing.
Final Notes
As soon as all of the proper licenses and permits are in hand, processing of ore will commence. The obstacles causing the delays we have recently experienced have now, for the most part, been overcome and we do not anticipate any further significant delays.
Management would like to extend its thanks to all shareholders for their continued patience. Future news and updates will be forthcoming.

Matt,
I don't know alot of how the programming works for a board like this, but can't you program a bot that would monitor new members and check for duplicate posts on multiple boards? If you could automate it, then you could nab them really quickly and it would make your job easier.
Just a thought...
