This is an opinion about a company that has 736.45M O/S @ .1088/ ......cheap shares seems to be the order of the day doesn't it?
It would be nice if you present some supportive data and links for the basis of your opinion, (otherwise it seems an attack on everyone's investment decision and their company, imo.).
While things like that may create a situation for a lower sp entry point, we tend to avoid that kind of behavior here.

first I'd like to say welcome to our newcomers, (it would also be nice to know your skillset, if you care to share).

I have a question and would like the opinion of others here:
Some have advocated less science data posts, while others are appreciative and would like to see more.
What's your thoughts on creating a Data Research resource of favorite sites for information?
Anything that seems pertinent or related to QMC could still be posted, while anyone so inclined could dig as deep as
desired.
When I first started posting here, I did so in trust that others that knew more would help lead and guide me. I also believe
that cream rises, (ie those with the most most knowledge expressed will rise and be a light unto others on their quest for
knowledge). I still believe that.
As a novice, my quest was dual; learn about QMC tech; learn about the stock mkt.
FG already has a start in regards to stock info on the intro. If you have other links to add, it would be appreciated.
I think we all step on our richards, (so to speak) from time to time. I've tried to apologise and ask forgiveness when I've
done so and hope the same allowance, (forgiveness) is made for others.

It seems a convoluted problem of convolution wherein the objective of study is creating a desired outcome before the fact.
People, (function 1) in general will already be predisposed toward bias before searching for data, (function 2) will create a bias, (bias result, function 3).
Data is just data, but spin often create perceptions accepted as true.
I highlighted spin, (presentation) as I believe that may be as much of a determinant as bare data and should also be factored into convolution, (suspect the math would delve into metaphysics). Presentation seems to be the entangling factor which helps determine the resulting bias.
Looking beyond; sign of a Seeker looking for the essence of truth or the real.
Expect the study will become fundamental in matters of law in cases of slanderous conduct against corporate structure.

Power spintronics: Producing AC voltages by manipulating magnetic fields
(Nanowerk News) Scientists are putting a new spin on their approach to generating electrical current by harnessing a recently identified electromotive force known as spinmotive force, which is related to the field of spintronics that addresses such challenges as improving data storage in computers. Now, a novel application of spintronics is the highly efficient and direct conversion of magnetic energy to electric voltage by using magnetic nanostructures and manipulating the dynamics of magnetization. According to a report published in the American Institute of Physics' (AIP) journal Applied Physics Letters ("Magnetic power inverter: AC voltage generation from DC magnetic fields"), this conversion could be the foundation for future development of spin-based power electronics, a field the authors call "power spintronics." Their newly published results of an experimental model suggest that a power spintronics-based device may one day be a promising approach to obtaining alternating current (AC) voltages from direct current (DC) magnetic fields. The researchers demonstrated for the first time the feasibility of a device that generates a voltage based on manipulating an effective magnetic field within a nanowire that arises from width modulation. Technically such a field is not a true magnetic field, but it can be viewed as such. The team tested a one-dimensional model. It showed that DC magnetic field characteristics such as magnitude, and design parameters such as wire width, can be used to control, or "tune," the frequency and amplitude of AC current. Importantly, their results showed that a variable frequency ranging from megahertz to gigahertz can be achieved. Control and range in tuning ability are highly desirable management features in generating current. The team's results suggest that applying their spintronics approach may one day meet a variety of commercial energy demands due to control and scalability.

How computers push on the molecules they simulate
(Nanowerk News) Because modern computers have to depict the real world with digital representations of numbers instead of physical analogues, to simulate the continuous passage of time they have to digitize time into small slices. This kind of simulation is essential in disciplines from medical and biological research, to new materials, to fundamental considerations of quantum mechanics, and the fact that it inevitably introduces errors is an ongoing problem for scientists. Scientists at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab) have now identified and characterized the source of tenacious errors and come up with a way to separate the realistic aspects of a simulation from the artifacts of the computer method. The research was done by David Sivak and his advisor Gavin Crooks in Berkeley Lab’s Physical Biosciences Division and John Chodera, a colleague at the California Institute of Quantitative Biosciences (QB3) at the University of California at Berkeley. (Nanowerk News) Developing a so-called ‘universal memory’, or the perfect electronic memory, has long been the holy grail of electronic engineering. A universal memory should have a fast read and write speed, high reliability, low power consumption, and be compatible with other electronic components as well as non-volatile; that is, it should retain the data even when the device's power is switched off. Nanogenerator's output triples previous record
Taking an important step forward for self-powered systems, researchers have built a nanogenerator with an ultrahigh output voltage of 209 V, which is 3.6 times higher than the previous record of 58 V. The nanogenerator, which has an area of less than 1 cm2, can instantly power a commercial LED and could have a wide variety of applications, such as providing a way to power objects in the "Internet of Things."

First study to test safety of quantum dots in primates
A pioneering study to gauge the toxicity of quantum dots in primates has found the tiny crystals to be safe over a one-year period, a hopeful outcome for doctors and scientists seeking new ways to battle diseases like cancer through nanomedicine.
The research, which will appear on May 20 in Nature Nanotechnology online, is likely the first to test the safety of quantum dots in primates. The study and information in this press release are embargoed until Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 1 p.m. U.S. Eastern Standard Time.
In the study, scientists found that four rhesus monkeys injected with cadmium-selenide quantum dots remained in normal health over 90 days. Blood and biochemical markers stayed in typical ranges, and major organs developed no abnormalities. The animals didn't lose weight.
Two monkeys observed for an additional year also showed no signs of illness.
Quantum dots are tiny luminescent crystals that glow brightly in different colors. Medical researchers are eyeing the crystals for use in image-guided surgery, light-activated therapies and sensitive diagnostic tests. Cadmium selenide quantum dots are among the most studied, with potential applications not only in medicine, but as components of solar cells, quantum computers, light-emitting diodes and more.
The new toxicity study -- completed by the University at Buffalo, the Chinese PLA General Hospital, China's ChangChun University of Science and Technology, and Singapore's Nanyang Technological University -- begins to address the concern of health professionals who worry that quantum dots may be dangerous to humans.
The authors caution, however, that more research is needed to determine the nanocrystals' long-term effects in primates; most of the potentially toxic cadmium from the quantum dots stayed in the liver, spleen and kidneys of the animals studied over the 90-day period.
"This is the first study that uses primates as animal models for in vivo studies with quantum dots," said paper coauthor Paras Prasad, UB professor of chemistry and medicine, and executive director of UB's Institute for Lasers, Photonics and Biophotonics (ILPB). "So far, such toxicity studies have focused only on mice and rats, but humans are very different from mice. More studies using animal models that are closer to humans are necessary."
The cadmium build-up, in particular, is a serious concern that warrants further investigation, said Ken-Tye Yong, a Nanyang Technological University assistant professor who began working with Prasad on the study as a postdoctoral researcher at UB.
Because of that concern, the best in-vivo applications for cadmium-selenide quantum dots in medicine may be the ones that use the crystals in a limited capacity, said Mark Swihart, a third coauthor and a UB professor of chemical and biological engineering. Image-guided surgery, which could involve a single dose of quantum dots to identify a tumor or other target area, falls into this category.

A terahertz laser is capable of showing the molecular structure of, say, a drug, because the laser beam it produces is at wavelengths suitable for examining molecular and atomic bonds. This enables more spatial information to be obtained than from chemical analysis, a detailed fingerprint. To date, however, the limitation has been that lasers of this type are restricted to particular wavelengths, e.g. because the source of the laser light is a semiconductor, in which electrons can only take on fixed energy states, hence only a limited number of ‘colours' of light can be produced.

Nanocapsule shape matters for drug delivery
Researchers at the University of Melbourne in Australia are the first to have made a set of layer-by-layer polymer capsules with well defined aspect ratios and have looked at how these capsules interact with biological cells. Scientists at the Methodist Hospital Research Institute and the MD Anderson Cancer Center, both in the United States, have developed a new pocket-size device that could allow healthcare providers to test for insulin and other blood proteins, cholesterol, and signs of viral or bacterial infection all at the same time, with just one drop of blood. The device, called the V-chip, short for “volumetric bar-chart chip,” can be carried around in a pocket. Lidong Qin, a Nanomedicine faculty member and the project’s principal investigator, said, "The V-Chip could make it possible to bring tests to the bedside, remote areas, and other types of point-of-care needs. V-Chip is accurate, cheap, and portable. It requires only a drop of a sample, not a vial of blood, and can do 50 different tests in one go." Other such assays require heavy, large and complex equipment. "The sensitivity of the V-chip can be improved if narrower and longer bar channels are used," Qin added. "Our next steps are to make the device more user friendly and be so simple to use, it barely needs instructions." The team’s findings were published in the journal Nature Communications.
