Print, what is your best guess on the fines that ERHC will have to pay IF these investigations turn up something against the company. IMO, the likely scenario would about a $5 mil fine, which would hardly affect ERHC. What do you think?
Of course the longer the span of time between the raid the less likely the govt has come up with ANYTHING. Keep in mind it would not take the govt too long to investigate a 4 person company with only one office. The government has had ample time to go through all the documents they seized.
Print, The Statute of Limitations is 5 years on the possible offenses that may be brought by the DOJ. There are no activities that ERHE was involved in for the last five years that justify any charges. There is a possibility that activities prior to the five years could be questionable, but the Statute of Limitations has tolled on those activities. Please follow the history of ERHC and you will see for yourself. So all your exposing of the facts of the raid is not only old news, it is non meaningful because of the Statute of Limitations.
Art, great work with your conversation with DanK. I stand corrected on my posts concerning the talk of the subsidiaries during the presentations, as I did not see the focal point of the presentations the way that ERHC's wanted them to reach a certain audience. I was wrong and now see why. Troy, no more rocks from the back row (at least for a while). But what I will say is that what I said before is what I believed in at that time. And I still believe in free speech here as sometimes when two sides are argued, the issue becomes clearer to both sides. Although it appears every time I mention free speech in my posts, they are deleted. I wonder why?
DeGen
Ps: I hope the board does not blame me for the recent drop in the share price, because of the things I said about the presentations. Maybe it was caused by those who mentioned the possible gun boat attacks on off shore platforms in the GOG. Or maybe those posts had NOTHING to do with the recent drop and what is said on IHUB has very little effect on the share price. But if that was true, how could any one manipulate the share price to buy cheaper shares? Also, those that complained about this "manipulation" could not whine anymore.
jsc52033 - did you see my post in reply to your post yet?

I am anxiously awaiting your response.
jsc, thank for you DOJ tidbit. Anything at this point in time (after waiting two years without a peep from the DOJ) is VERY refreshing. However, I have trouble understanding exactly what you stated. If you don't mind, I will quote you and pose my questions. TIA
"that with the powers to be they (?? who are the powers the DOJ officials?) would need to go hard on the elected official (who is the elected official? I have no idea) if any action was taken against a corp. The corp would most likely be subject to a fine the amount was not discussed (?? I have felt all along the only way this investigation would be settled, would be by "paying" off the govt's extortion with about $5mil in so called "fines"). It was stated that if a foreign govenment was in control of rights (?? the rights granted to ERHC and its partners were from the JDZ which are definitely from foreign govts) the USA had no standing over said rights." (?? So the bottom line is in the last sentence, indicating the DOJ has no standing, but how can that be, if ERHC actually DID bribe foreign officials for foreign oil rights that really is a violation of US law (?? although the law may be stupid and violated by every US oil company on a regular basis).
Is there anyway you may be able to clarify some of this.
Did you mention the Statute of Limitations? TIA
... and to quote Mick, "You can't always get what you want... but if you try sometimes, you just might find ... you get what you need."
Troy, I would LOVE if that happened. Send all the crow you want me to eat to rcparker99@aol.com. I will enjoy every bite. I know you and YMike realize how heavy invested I am in ERHC and would only hope good things do happen.
I hope the subsidiary helps the company. I hope SEO has a golden goose up his sleeve. I hope the drill rig is announced in July. I hope the government calls for the dogs and ends the investigations very soon. I hope there is an elephant field(s) in the JDZ and EEZ.
I want only good things to happen to ERHC!!!
Pepsi, could it be that the "bride" is the oil in the JDZ/EEZ and the flood/drought in IOWA is the subsidiary talk? Glad to see there is another poster on the "correct" side.
Maybe ERHC will do ALL they are talking about with the subsidiary/AIM but right now is is very difficult for a "newbie" investor to swallow all this in one gulp.

My Email to ERHC
Is there a transcript of Mr. Ledbetter's presentation in Houston this week? Will it be available on the ERHR site?
Response (in less than one hour):
Thank you for your note. There was no recording of the presentation and Mr. Ledbetter spoke extemporaneously, so we do not have a script to post online. Much of the presentation echoed what was presented by Mr. Ntephe earlier in the month at the RedChip conference, which is posted on our Web site’s presentations page (www.erhc.com/presentations).

... and to quote Mick, "You can't always get what you want... but if you try sometimes, you just might find ... you get what you need."
Maybe we should discuss the offshore drilling (US) issue that Bush is now proposing that Congress act on. How will this effect our share price if the US finally decides to drill off its own shores. Deep water rigs will be even more in demand. Although drilling will be many years off if the shorelines are released, this will have a definite effect on oil prices. Nothing we can really do about this, but discuss it.
Sidewider, maybe if enough shareholders speak up about what Walldog and I are concerned with, the company may listen and in there NEXT investor conference concentrate on the JDZ/EEZ their excellent partners and free carries and skip over (eliminate) the subsidiary comments. I wonder if Ledbetter may have done just that in his presentation. I emailed the company to find out about a transcript for Ledbetter's presentation, but no reply yet.
I also have not commented on the Q & A session at the London conference. It appeared to me ALL the questions were about the subsidiary and that is what "confused" the attendees.
Strass, I am not sure where you are getting the idea that ERHC is telling us drilling is a ways off. Nothing has changed with Addax getting the rig of opportunity one way or the other. Addax's position on this has NOT changed.
Also, there were two reliable posters on this board who stated an announcement concerning drilling would be made in the third quarter, which is only about two weeks away. Granted the quarter is 3 months long and the announcement may be made as late as Sept 30, but even that is not that far away. I would tend to believe this announcement will pinpoint the drill date more precisely and really get the share price rolling. Can you wait three months, I know I can.
Once drilling occurs, the oil reserves will be proven or at least better defined (probable). With that a dollar figure for the value can be established as YankeMike reiterates often. We DO NOT have to wait to production for the oil to effect the share price. So who cares if the production is at least 3 years away.
... and to quote Mick, "You can't always get what you want... but if you try sometimes, you just might find ... you get what you need."
Exceo, I am NOT arguing against what ERHC is doing at far as the possibility of a subsidiary, what I dislike is why they are "promoting" the subsidiary so much when they should be promoting the JDZ/EEZ first and foremost. In fact, IMO, ERHC should NOT even bring up the subsidiary issue at these investment conferences, it's just too confusing and too pie in the sky. They should stick to the meat and potatoes that will get the share price to MUCH higher levels.
I love the fact the company is going on the road and exposing itself to the investment community, but they MUST stick to the basics for now and discuss the subsidiary when it actually comes to pass. Now is not the time to discuss vague issues, now is the time to discuss to OIL we already have the rights too. The KISS principle!!!
Gee whiz, I know the perfect shell company that could buy. It is already on the AIM and less than a cent a share. Has no management as they all resigned and left the company in receivership. Yes folks, WGMGY, a true shell company. Truly a company with actually nothing inside the shell only the paperwork for the AIM listing is left. If ERHC does buy WG, some of us will have come full circle. (LOL).
That post was REALITY.
How can a company grow by saying they will be acquiring a company to be listed on the AIM or already on the AIM when they themselves probably do not qualify for the AIM, AMEX, NYSE, or TSX? Doesn't that make you wonder how they are going to do it? Smoke and mirrors? Oh, I forgot about the $30+ million in the bank that is being eating away at a fairly good clip by spending on these "speculative" endeavors.
Why don't they push their "real" assets to get their own share price up to $5 so they themselves can qualify for a better exchange.
... and to quote Mick, "You can't always get what you want... but if you try sometimes, you just might find ... you get what you need."
Am I the only one that thinks that ERHE should be concentrating on the "jewel" of the company and only be pushing THAT asset to the public and not confusing this great asset with all this subsidiary talk. Peter's latest interview was confusing to me, who follows the company's activities religiously. This subsidiary talk MUST really be confusing to outsiders!!!
Then there is the question of "financing" this new asset. I don't see how they are going to do it. Are they going to put the company deep in debt? Are they going to float more shares and dilute present shareholders equity? There is no free lunch. I just don't like this whole idea. I wish they would just get back to basics and SCREAM AND SHOUT about the JDZ and EEZ where ALL of their value is. How much value will this subsidiary add to the company's currents assets in the JDZ and EEZ. 2%? 3%? Is that worth discussing when you have these incredible oil rights in the GOG?
In my eyes this subsidiary is lots of smoke and mirrors where the JDZ is for real. Why isn't ERHC concentrating on the real deal. Again, this subsidiary thing is just confusing to those who are trying to learn about ERHC.
Am I the only one with these doubts?
Ps: No, I am not trying to get cheap shares, just venting what I believe. I have stated this position over and over while the board lives in dreamland thinking this subsidiary is the best thing since slice bread. BTW, I will get my cheap shares if the financing is what I expect the financing to be, which will "over in cumber" the company.
... and to quote Mick, "You can't always get what you want... but if you try sometimes, you just might find ... you get what you need."
Any reports about the conference? Anyone attend? Any replays available?
Will there be a live telecast of the conference in Houston?
Will there be a replay available?
Has anyone contacted ERHR's PR dept with these questions?
"duplicate"
Is it really possible (or actually how likely) that what ERHR has done (or "may") with gathering up these unbelievable oil rights in the JDZ EEZ can be "dublicated"??? First we already have enough trouble convincing the investment community what these rights are worth or ERHE's shareprrice would be sitting at around a half a buck.
So now the company says it has rights (12%) of 14 Billion barrels in the JDZ alone. Does the investment community believe that? Not really. And they want us to believe they are going to "duplicate" that with an IPO on the AIM. Well I have to see that to believe, since it sounds just too good to be true.
tamtam, please email me at rcparker99@aol.com so I can contact you about sending you the $50 for your attending the the conference. Your efforts will NOT go unrewarded. There are several others who also promised to "chip" in to help defray your expenses. You have gone beyond to call of duty. You are truly dedicated to IHUB and ERHR. Good man!
... and to quote Mick, "You can't always get what you want... but if you try sometimes, you just might find ... you get what you need."
Sorry about the repost but it was still on my iPhone screen when I got up this AM and did not know if it was "posted". I will say my 150K buy order @46.5 fell on deaf ears. No soup for me (Soup Natzi, Seinfeld). No
"cheap" shares either!
Sometimes I would like to kick myself for trying to save a half a cent!
will there be a drilling announcement? A while two very reliable posters (markgolus and Rincon?) independently indicated an announcement about drilling WILL be made in the 4th Q. Most here have faith in these posters as do I, so it is just a matter of waiting it out. The only question is, do you want to be fully loaded up with ERHE shares when the announcement is made? I certainly do and may take the present dip in the share price to load up even more shares. My goal is to own a million shares (for easy math) and I am not that far away. I would think others here would also use this opportunity to pick up "cheap" shares.

although the share price is falling/drifting down, the volume is nearly 1mil. It could be many of that bought in 20's or 30's got a double or a triple and are now jumping ship now the the "fast" rise in the so has really slowed down. It is very natural for a stock's share price to slow down or retrench after such a fast rise.
It is also very natural for those that are way ahead (double or triple) to take half or more of their shares off the table.
RKT, I don't know about you but most people who "find" a great opportunity like the oil in the GOG would rather have 100% for themselves as opposed to 43% and share the rest with some unknown shareholders. You must consider SEO's greed when weighing any opportunity he may come across. Keep in mind Chrome if SEO has "discovered" another JDZEEZ. Would you share? Billions of dollars with a "B".
I don't think ERHE can count on SEO to share any new opportunities he may run across anymore. He is no longer "required" to "disclose an opportunity since he is not on the BOD.
... and to quote Mick, "You can't always get what you want... but if you try sometimes, you just might find ... you get what you need."
Troy, What ERHE did with the GOG oil was truly amazing. I am sure SEO's ability and connections has much to do with it. But to repeat such a feat would even be more amazing. IMO, it just will not happen. Lightning does not strike twice in the same place very often. Plus, SEO is no longer at the helm, so for such a miracle to happen ERHE must rely on the current staff. Can they do what SEO did? No way IMO.
You know I really believe in the company, but just do not believe in this "subsidiary idea" on the AIM. It's just not going to happen. IMO, pie in the sky thinking.
Which brings to mind my comments on what Peter said at the Red Chip conference. I for one would not mention this subsidiary idea during the conference, the main jfocus of the exposure should be the oil rights, this is MORE than enough to try to digest in one sitting. Getting into the subsidiary thing is just too confusing and gets one off the main focus of the OIL. Have I said OIL IS EVERYTHING, yet!
... and to quote Mick, "You can't always get what you want... but if you try sometimes, you just might find ... you get what you need."
Strass, although I am not a big "fan" of most of your opinions, I do agree that ERHE should NOT be venturing out into this new subsidiary idea. Their cash is precious and should not be spent at this time. They should concentrate on the big picture which is JDZ & EEZ, not anything else at this time. As you say ERHE should wait until the oil money is rolling in before further investments are considered.
Tamtam suggested he may be going to the conference in London. Since those that offered up $50 for the SF conference did not have to fork over the money, would they make the same offer to Tamtam. I know I will. I am not sure if the London conference would also cost $150 to get in, but Tamtam should be compensated since he would have to come in from the Netherlands, not an easy trip.
After listening to Peter's great presentation, if I did not know anything about the company, I would be OVERWELMED. It almost sounds to good to be true. This little company has all these rights to all this oil worth BILLIONS of dollars. Could it be true? I am sure those that attended will be doing their DD this coming week and the big money should start rolling in over the next several months.
The only thing that I was disappointed in was at the very end when the audience applauded at the end of the presentation. It sounded like there was less than twenty in attendance. I would sure like to know how many were there and who they represented. Is there anyway of finding out? I sure wish we had someone from this board in the audience for feedback.
I would guess the share price will never see the forties again, in fact after a week or two, we will never see the fifties again. We should definitely be over a buck by the end of the year.
... and to quote Mick, "You can't always get what you want... but if you try sometimes, you just might find ... you get what you need."
Vizla, that site finally worked, previously the replay was not available. Thanks. I saw both the 10am interview and the 1:20 presentation.
I have read all the past 200+ posts and still cannot find where to see the Peter's "live" presentation as I asked for in this post from yesterday (not just the text, slides). I want to see Peter LIVE!
"Been off IHUB for a while and would like to know how one can "replay" Peter's talk at RedChip. I saw the written text, but is there a replay of Peter actually talking?
Did anyone attend? Any feedback from the attendee(s)? TIA "
Still have the same questions, anybody have the answers?
Ps: I would also assume that since there has been NO REPORT from anyone at the actual SF conference, all those who offered money for such are off the hook.
... and to quote Mick, "You can't always get what you want... but if you try sometimes, you just might find ... you get what you need."

Is anyone (or everyone) expecting a gap up Friday AM?
Sixty cents by EOD Friday????
Very busy tomorrow and Sat, will catch up Sunday.

If Jean Claude gets a phone call once a month from the Chinese wanting to buy his company, I wounder how ofter the Chinese call ERHE to buy them out? Or do the Chinese just call SEO?
Here is the list of those who will send $50 to the first volunteer who attends the SF conference and reports back to IHUB :
Opus X
doubleaa
walldog
Deere 2010
Degenerate Gambler
I want thank those who ponied up to help all of us get the best information available about ERHE.
We still need someone to officially commit to attending.
Ruby, find out right away if your son can attend before someone else volunteers. He may not have pay the entry if he wears his uniform and says he there for "crowd" / "roit" control for the event. Can you envision your son having turn away potential investors from the room because it was overcrowded! I would also guess the others would be more open with their opinion about ERHE as opposed to the other competition (other institutional investors) who they might want to out fox and get into ERHE before they do.
Also, getting the "feel" of how the audience reacted can only be gotten first hand. We may not hear all those oohs and aahs or the gasps or see the chins dropping unless there is someone in the audience to see and fell what happens.
... and to quote Mick, "You can't always get what you want... but if you try sometimes, you just might find ... you get what you need."
brez, after listening to Annual SM webcast and then hearing from those who attended I feel getting at one first hand report is well worth the $50! Some may not want to pay the $150 entry fee or take the time to go, but so far we have $250 on the table to entice someone to go. Anybody want to attend? Anybody else want to ante up.
I don't think the "live" webcast will be any different then what was done at the AGM.
... and to quote Mick, "You can't always get what you want... but if you try sometimes, you just might find ... you get what you need."
In the post I am answering I "offered" up $50 to anyone who would go to and report back the events of the upcoming conference in SF. I did this in hopes of getting a first hand view of what transpired from someone who attended and had to pay the $150 entrance fee as well as take time out from their life to attend. I also asked that others also contribute $50 so it would be worthwhile for someone to go. So far only Opus X has come forward to contribute. I wonder why other large shareholders who follow ERHE on IHUB had not yet come forward to help out in trying to get someone to go to this conference. So far there has been no volunteers to attend either, but the first volunteer will be the one who gets the money.
I am also willing to do the same thing for the next one in London and hope we find someone to go. I also wonder if Dan K will be going to these events.
On a positve I finally finished "green". So I would guess there are many other large shareholders that are in the green or will be soon. I would think spending a few bucks to get the best / most current information would be beneficial.
I am willing to contribute $50 to anyone who goes to the conference and reports what occurred to IHUB. I think if we can get five or more others to do the same it might just be enough to make it worthwhile for someone to take time out of their life and inform the board of what happened. I think anyone who owns more than a half million shares should certainly contribute. Let's see if we can get five or more contrbutors before Wed.
Will anyone from ERHE besides Peter be at the conference? Why is ERHC scheduled at the same time as another similar Oil and Gas Co.? Bad luck?
rufisque, you attendance and report back will be greatly appreciated by all here. I am looking forward to information about that "rig of opportunity" for the JDZ. If possible could you ask Jean, if he could inform the audience of the name(s) of the rig(s) that they may be able to get. Any information would be helpful. TIA
