jsc, thank for you DOJ tidbit. Anything at this point in time (after waiting two years without a peep from the DOJ) is VERY refreshing. However, I have trouble understanding exactly what you stated. If you don't mind, I will quote you and pose my questions. TIA

"that with the powers to be they (?? who are the powers the DOJ officials?) would need to go hard on the elected official (who is the elected official? I have no idea) if any action was taken against a corp. The corp would most likely be subject to a fine the amount was not discussed (?? I have felt all along the only way this investigation would be settled, would be by "paying" off the govt's extortion with about $5mil in so called "fines"). It was stated that if a foreign govenment was in control of rights (?? the rights granted to ERHC and its partners were from the JDZ which are definitely from foreign govts) the USA had no standing over said rights." (?? So the bottom line is in the last sentence, indicating the DOJ has no standing, but how can that be, if ERHC actually DID bribe foreign officials for foreign oil rights that really is a violation of US law (?? although the law may be stupid and violated by every US oil company on a regular basis).

Is there anyway you may be able to clarify some of this.

Did you mention the Statute of Limitations? TIA

... and to quote Mick, "You can't always get what you want... but if you try sometimes, you just might find ... you get what you need."

The $64,000 question is: Will there be a Rig of Oportunity or do we have to wait for the AA begin drilling On Oct 1, 2009?
