On news 50k blocks will be chump change flying on the ask- expect 10-15M in volume right after approval, with any sizeable contracts theeafter exhausting what's left of the small float.
Think of your shares like bottled water after a natural disaster..
No such thing as a sure thing, that applies here. But you have to admit they are perfectly postitioned to capture a good % of this market, and seem to have no problem getting top sector talent to leave billion $ established companies to come to their unknown one.
I'll be holding mine tight- from the one's purchased at .06 all the way up to 1.34 this month.
There's only three thousand-ish investors here, consider yourself early to the dance. People buying at much higher levels will be asking how did people know at 1.48, just like the people that bought at 1.48 are wishing they got in at .50,.40,and in some cases .06
It's all relative to your frame of reference.
Keep in mind American science,as well as L3 and Smiths are well established sector giants trading on major exchanges- and are $60-80 a share stocks.
Good things to those who have vision and patience here..
He did preface it with "may", reach double digits, quite possible given the small float and potential large contracts. People also seems to have a TSA contract SP pegged at $3, because all the analysts say so. IMO it might visit that for a minute, but best believe it ain't goin to stay there long. It does happen, on rare occasions, that the blind squirrel finds the acorn. I had a buddy in SCON about ten years ago- bought at $1 and sold at $100. How about Dendron a couple years back,$1 to $50 and that was in the bottom of the recession. This one has more going for it than those two combined. Show me something that gets more media attention than terrorisim. Investors will be lined up to buy at much higher prices- consider yourself a plank owner at a buck!
10 trading days left in sept, shorts starting to cover. Even they aren't that dumb.
For a "quiet period", the silence is deafening. I think when this is lifted the sound soon heard will be that of a vacumm, sucking up the remaining float.
This company is starting to scare me with potential, glad i did my christmas shopping early.)
Form 4's out
So much for "where's the insider buying" Good for Glenn & Bob Liscouski- they deserve it!. At 1.40 too, what's not to like here?
Me too, rounding up lol. I hope tommorrow goes smoothly, got a gut feeling since we capped OBL and it's the 11th anniversary on the 11th the bad guys might have something planned- hope i'm wrong.
Not everyone is looking to sell on the first pop. In the grand scheme a TSA cert while certainly a giant step fwd, might pale in comparison to future announcements. Personally the day the saftey seal PR comes out i will be holding my shares tighter than ever. Do not be surprized if there is a series of orders lined up for release- then you will see significant SP ascent. Quite a few folks are going to piss away serious profits here by selling too early IMO.
"trust me the big money is made on your entry price, because this dictates your share count, which in the end is what ultimately sets your winnings apart from other players late to the game"
And there you have it.
I hope your right. This is akin to filling your tank at .50 a gallon- one last gift for the informed.
"My only problem is I did not get here sooner"
People will be saying the same thing at $5-10 in short time.
I bought my first shares at .06 in Dec 09,the most recent were at 1.02 a few weeks ago. Not saying that to brag,it's just relative to frame of reference. If you have not been here long, you have saved yourself a lot of frustration because it's been a rough hold watching it bounce from .05 to 1.14 the last three years.
1.60 is going to look brilliantly bought in the future, this is one of those opportunities to get in on the ground floor of a paradigm shift in tech that happens maybe twice in one's investing life IMO.
LTA
Implants patent portfolo has no direct competition- and they are about to introduce disruptive technology into a sector that has no idea what's going to hit them in the next two years.
The weekend is a great time to peruse their press releases from the last two years. It will clearly illustrate a pattern of direction, as well as document top industry execs leaving their present cush positions at leading competitors to join a fledgling micro cap trading at a buck and change.
All IMO
Tupelo MS purchases 150 through Homeland security Act(about 1:15 min mark)
http://vimeo.com/26720341
Read between the lines people,we are still sub floor on this one. Thanks to DAPARKER on the yahoo board for the find..
The drop is due to one seller for the most part. I doubt seriously if Mgmt will respond to this, it's a Director selling due to a divorce, nuff said. No need to release a fluff PR to allay my concerns, i know where the company is headed just wish i had more change under the couch for some more cheapies..
So true!
I disagree. TSA is one terrorist away from an (avoidable) tragedy- they cannot afford to keep in place the current tech which is worthless respective to PETN. They have lucked out with the depends and shoe bombers, when will the next one roll boxcars?
I also agree on the potential here- what Glenn and his team have done in the last eighteen months has been nothing short of outstanding. It's hard to imagine it's only at .80, when it has been at these levels a few times on FAR less (known) material events. They are so close you can smell it, but until they become profitable it's going to be peaks and valleys until they can sustain consistent Q's of growth. That, or a buyout, either way subdollar days are soon coming to an end.
I agree Pistole has a boot on his neck, but that's not going to change the fact people will be selling into strength, specifically Platinum. Based on the string of PR's, i'm fairly convinced it's past the if and down to the when here. Everyone has different exit strategies, and that will add to volatility. OTC's are a snake pit,not held to the same standards as legit exchanges, and a playground for routine MM shenanigans. Let's face it the O/A market is crooked, this one is worse. There's going to be a fair bit of sell the news here, because they have yet to make money and that's still a few Q's out. Once you realize you have absolutely no control over PPS and /or timing of events, it becomes much easier to hold. Those who REALLY know what they own and have the stones to stay on the bull for another 12-24 months could stand to make some significant gains.
The odd behavior of the trading today shows we are still under most radars. While to us it was a watershed PR,it wasnt a big contract or something directly tangible for volume. OTC stocks will suck the life out of you- this is a game of patience and the consistent moves won't happen till it's on a legitimate exchange IMO. That being said, it will have it's starbursts but till then the road will be a bumpy one. Sure was nice to see the U.S. and Implant mentioned in the same sentence for the first time..I think we are on every continent now?
More like 1 year, and with Dr McGann's relationship with the head of TSL it's all good-
Here is the latest TSA saftey act approved list. They are still on old tech(canine, xray, and contact sampling) which should tell you how early we are here-
Designations/Certifications
The following "Approved Product List for Homeland Security" is provided pursuant to 6 U.S.C. § 442(d)(3) (the Support Anti-terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies Act of 2002, or “SAFETY Act”) and 6 C.F.R. § 25.7(j) (2004) (Regulations to Support Anti-terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies):

I met Joe at the Aegis conference, here's a clip from an interview (today?) and think his overview pretty much nails it down both in timeline and valuation(thanks to Ninja turtle on the yahoo thread for the find)
http://www.corporateprofile.com/?p=1680
Not that i give a lark, but would love to see it close over .90 as that would be the high since it came off .06 in Jan of 09.
Remember the cargo 2 screening deadline hoopla from last august? To date, only 5% of all air cargo is being screened- that's from Glenn's lips to my ears in person. There are 16000 international 3000 domestic air carriers. When TSA finally approves a qualifed benchtop, how many of those freight forwarder terminals will need a quailifed benchtop ETD unit?. Remember, there is a huge amount of freight that gets out sourced to commercial airlines as well.
Hold them shares tight fellers, at sub $1 this is a potential Wall St darling in the making.
"I'm quite amazed it hasn't soared over 1.00 on recent developments."
The volume, or lack thereof is the tell. We are subterranean on most radars, because this company is analagous to the boy who cried wolf. We get a cert, mainsteam media, combined with the small float and that will change in a most dramatic way. We ran to these levels a few times on hype, like the FOX and Uri segments, but the volume was in the millions because of the global feed on Cable. We are a very small % of the public that knows what the potential is here, we know what we own, and will be rewarded accordingly for patience. This is a gift right now for anyone who hasn't loaded up enough already. I know people who are aved in around .40 but are still buying at these levels. Very bright future here IMO
Line em up and knock em out- they are starting to turn the corner.
"So, tell me...when does a 'long shot' stock pick cease to become one?"
Thought provoking.. I think in IMSC's case when they start lining up consecutive Q's of sustained revs, and get listed on a major index again. At 3k total shareholders, we are in some very elite company. I would assume a portion of that amount are shareholders that have been hangin on for years.
I have always subscribed to the mindset if they get where they need to be, the SP will take care of itself. Clearly someone bought today, as mentioned probably off the Aegis conference. The media is focused back on terror, Japan/Libya is on the backburner.
I was told there were PR's that were waiting to be released, just a matter of market timing. .06 or .60, both will look like savant buys IF they can penetrate the good ole boys club. Don't kid yourself, orders will stack high right after a TSA cert, it's tanamount to profitability and a substantial marketcap increase. IMO the key tell here is how when anyone of merit looks at the tech, they get involved with the company either as BOD or advisory capactiy. Mcgann is going to be a key asset to IMSC growth.
Timing is everything, i said the same thing when i started buying this at .06 and it went to .35 the next day. Definitely picked the right day then, I don't get too excited when it goes up 10% like today when i've seen it go 400% in a couple of trading sessions. You have to remember that India order was Inked in 2009,and that product would have shipped if not for an internal issue with India's security protocol. Hey call Glenn he will tell ya. The point is widget 1.0 will be replaced by widget 2.0 the day after you get yours, and widget 5.0 the next year. The 150 is an impressive device, they will continue to evolve the tech, and countries need to avert potential situations tommorrow, they can't avoid to wait. I have had numerous opps to flip this and crack some good gains, I choose to hold because i could more easily live with passing on some folding money, than life changing levels of appreciation. Hardly myopic.
Here's why it's not a lock, and how the game is played..
"stellar product"
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/OSI-Systems-Receives-an-bw-1335425608.html?x=0&.v=1
"The india order 'hasn't been shipped' because they don't want yesterday's technology, they want tomorow's"
Sorry, that's not the case. The reason the India order of 150's hasn't shipped yet is because of bureaucratic quicksand on the part of the India government with the labelling of LPTN trace detection. Glenn was just back from there and it is being addressed. The 150, while a bit heavy, is still the only device of it's kind, hardly yesterdays technology. Yes, there will be an updated version(just like cell phones) that will be lighter, but can the world afford the wait?
If this was a lock, it wouldn't be trading at .60. They still have a long way to go, but looking better everyday. JMO
"Any chance of giving us a hint who the HUGE competitor was?"
Just for semantic clarification,I never said competitor. I don't want to create the impression they were there to negotiate terms of a buyout, but instead were there for technial advice. It does tell me Implant is well respected in the community. I would prefer not mentioning the name, as it came about in random conversation i had with Glenn over the course of one hour. I can tell you this, these people are genuine, and the tech is the real deal. They are continuing to align themselves with people who WILL do everything possible to get the company profitable. We here, are so early to the party. Glenn told me there were only three thousand shareholders. In a nutshell, they have sold around 1300 150's worldwide. While it's a great tool, as Robert Liscouski said you need more than one in your tool box.
The general consensus is Cargo/rail/ bus will be the most vunerable-The bad guys see the window for passenger mules narrowing due to heightened security. Cargo is HUGE- there are 3000 domestic, and 16000 worldwide carriers. 5% is being screened at the moment. A big part of the reason they still are putting rapiscans in airports(aside from Chertoff) is noone wants to be accountable for change. Nobody wants to stick their neck out, and or lose their job. Welcome to washington folks. Same for India to an extent, and partially the reason that large India order hasn't shipped yet. The good thing is Implant has the goods, and is tailoring the tech to accomodate the specific requests of TSA.
Someone mentioned benchtop- yes they are on that too. There will be many applications for the tech- wooden pallatized(C2), vehicle undercarriages, etc, etc. On the dignified screening,One of the execs put it best. He said personally he didn't mind being searched, but didn't want his six year old daughter being groped. Think of the avoided trauma, and litigation, not to mention it's a runaway winner for TSA publicity. One of the questions posed to Glenn was has Israel vetted the tech- "they are waiting to see what the TSA will do with it". Again, looks great on paper.. if we can get that seal we are golden. All JMO
Just back from Vegas, here's the overview. The conference was for emerging micro cap companies, the audience industry pros- specifically stock brokers including JP Morgan to name just a few. Implant was the last presenter, all in attendance agreed they held the most audience interest measured by the amount of questions lobbied. The moderator had to step in finally or they would have kept going. Even after the official end Glenn, Robert Liscouski, and CTO Todd Silvestri spent about an hour answering questions including a demo of the 150. Suffice it to say i'm glad i went. Not only are these folks approachable, they value their shareholders deeply and have a collective passion for success with this company that was clearly evidenced.
I'm only going to comment on items that were made public there, those include-
There will be a company name change at one point, the reason they haven't yet is the associated cost, they are putting their resources into R&D instead. (sound wisdom)
They will release info on the narcotics trace detector this year.
There are more patented technolgy devices in the oven.
Dr Mcgann was/is a very key person respective to their relationship with TSL.
IMO this is not a slam dunk, but they are in the best postion possible to get the product to market. That being said, the whales of this sector all know who they are,in fact one huge one was in their office earlier this week.
Bottom line, they are the only american company out there in the sector(Scott Brown does not want jobs going overseas) and the only device that does not interface with radiation( the new nasty term after the Japan aftermath)
Remmember "opt out" day? IMSC has a new phrase for their tech, it's called "dignified screening"- brilliant.
My feeling is they are not going to sell out for peanuts, but instead grow the company into a 500M market cap over time, then throw the keys to one of the big dogs. Glenn is a very humble man, who surrounds himself with some sharp people(They have four PHD's and counting in the lab) The current BOD and mgmt team has only been in place 2 1/2 years. Glenn's timeline was 3-5 years, so we are getting there, but patience will be key and rewarding for those with the sack to hold station. There WILL be some significant PR's soon, they have just held them due to all the other worldwide events. Take all of this for the .02 it's worth, and make your own decisions not based on a text field..
It's apparently not a public event, but for brokers. I called IR and Lauren was very accomodating, and got me two passes for myself and a good friend who's also a shareholder. If that wasn't enough, i asked if Glenn had a minute I would like to meet him, and she arranged a meeting for 1PM. I am thinking of a short list of questions.. have a pretty good idea what i will ask him that won't prompt a "no comment". Of course those are the burning one's,lol, but i will post an overview of the conference and conversation. In the past i used to take these " I met the CEO today" BB text field posts with a grain of salt, everyone else should too and i won't be posting grip and grin pics with Glenn on Facebook-
Will be in attendance, and have a tentative meeting scheduled with Glenn afterwards.
Still waiting for the PR that will see the SP ascend. Distributor agreements while nice, will not move the stock. Nice to see one on NA soil though..
McGann imo, was brought in to assist with aquisition.
"Implant Sciences has great technology that addresses a growing and critical need in the market. The Quantum Sniffer can become a key component of security deployed throughout the U.S. and at TSA managed sites. Implant Sciences also has opportunities to introduce additional ETD technologies to market. I look forward to advising the Company on these fronts," stated Dr. McGann
"additional ETD technologies" means the whales will make them an offer they can't refuse.
If that isn't compelling enough, here's the guy that will deliver on the saftey cert-
"Mr. McHale commented, "Implant Sciences' Quantum Sniffer and its underlying technology are extremely effective in both foreign combat and homeland security applications. I am pleased to bring this technology to the attention of counterterrorism professionals and procurement officers around the world in order to save innocent lives, better secure our borders and protect our troops."
Glenn Bolduc, CEO of Implant Sciences. "We expect Mr. McHale to be a key advisor in identifying new operational applications and related sales opportunities. By building a U.S. government sales force, we hope to provide superior protection for Americans, while improving upon our sales channel growth and revenue momentum."
How you could not take a flyer on a few K shares at this point is crazy- they have so much more on the burner than a year ago..

Pieces are falling into place.. no guarantee but what do you want for a .50 microcap that is being eyed by an 800lb gorilla?
This is why Landsmann alluded to a buyout by GE-
"After selling Ion Track to General Electric, Dr. McGann served as Vice-President, R&D at GE Ion Track and went on to become Chief Technology Officer of GE Security"
Gettin interesting..
