"The grass from this harvest provided seedlings for planting on our new land and is also being used to supply samples for testing and analysis by potential customers such as DP CleanTech and other electric power providers."
Samples have now been provided. Supply contracts to follow. 2 independent test now done to dupport the product.
Processing facility being built, and my favorite part of all..........
"We feel these characteristics together make Giant King Grass very attractive to biomass users, and we are seeing evidence of that in the form of requests for proposals, sales inquiries and MOUs,"
VSPC - BIG NEWS
First Giant King Grass Harvest
New Grass Processing and Storage Facility Under Construction in China
Press Release
Source: VIASPACE Inc.
On 8:30 am EST, Wednesday December 2, 2009
IRVINE, Calif., Dec. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- VIASPACE Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: VSPC - News), a clean energy company growing Giant King(TM) Grass as a renewable, low-carbon energy crop, today announced that the first harvest of Giant King Grass has been completed and that a new grass processing and storage facility is under construction on company land in China.
Chief Executive Dr. Carl Kukkonen stated: "The grass from this harvest provided seedlings for planting on our new land and is also being used to supply samples for testing and analysis by potential customers such as DP CleanTech and other electric power providers. The new building, now under construction, will process Giant King Grass into pellets and other biomass products, as well as prepare seedlings for the planned expansion of planted acreage."
According to Kukkonen, a new independent analysis in Europe verified that Giant King Grass has excellent energy content (19.2 megajoules per dry kilogram, or 4,585 kilocalories per kilogram-- slightly higher than previous measurements). And the fast-growing nature of Giant King Grass means it is a highly productive and economically advantageous crop, compared to all other biomass crops. Furthermore, Giant King Grass can be harvested in the first year, whereas many other energy crops cannot be harvested until they have been growing for two or more years. "We feel these characteristics together make Giant King Grass very attractive to biomass users, and we are seeing evidence of that in the form of requests for proposals, sales inquiries and MOUs," he said.
Kukkonen gave a presentation on Giant King Grass at the Next-Generation Biofuels Feedstocks USA Conference held November 16-17, 2009, at Le Meridien Hotel in San Francisco. The presentation--with pictures of the harvest, new land and building--is available at the bottom right of the home page of VIASPACE's website www.VIASPACE.com.
A follow-up interview with Kukkonen was published on November 23, 2009, by the DTN Ethanol Center. The interview is available at the bottom of the home page and may be accessed directly at http://www.dtnethanolcenter.com/index.cfm?show=10&mid=83&pid=37 .
Prior to the presentation and interview, Kukkonen was on a three-week trip to Asia, where he visited the Company's grass lands and met with current and potential partners and customers.

Larry, welcome!!!!!!!!!!
there will be much to discuss here real soon.....
I am so excited that December has begun. I have believed for months now, that December would be the month for a big time rally here. I expect major DP news in the next 2 weeks. Would not be surprised to see a dime before the end of the year.
Good morning all.
Looks like we will GAP up today. Perhaps the Samsung news has caught some attention.....
long, welcome to our board. We are anxious to hear your thoughts.
I think December will be a big month for us as well.
Good luck to us.
We are getting closer folks. Chang is being very supportive. I believe a huge deal with DP is done, and will be the basis for the final closing. Chang will not sell any VGE shares until after the DP deal is announced.
VIASPACE Files Amended Form S-1
VIASPACE Green Energy Subsidiary to Become Publicly Traded Company
Press Release
Source: VIASPACE Inc.
On 9:15 am EST, Monday November 30, 2009
IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- VIASPACE Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: VSPC - News), a clean energy company growing Giant King(TM) Grass as a low-carbon, renewable energy crop, today announced that on November 25, 2009, it filed an amended Form S-1 with the Securities and Exchange Commission to list its majority-owned subsidiary, VIASPACE Green Energy Inc. (VGE), as a separately reporting public company. The amended filing is available at www.SEC.gov under VIASPACE Green Energy.
The common shares of VGE are expected to be traded on the OTC Bulletin Board. VIASPACE Inc. anticipates that its majority ownership in VIASPACE Green Energy, current management and operations of VGE, and VGE's focus on renewable energy will remain unchanged.
VIASPACE Chief Executive Carl Kukkonen reiterated that with separate reporting, VGE's business, growth potential and financial progress will be more visible and offer investors a clearer view of VGE as an investment opportunity in renewable energy. Since VIASPACE Inc. expects to retain its majority ownership of VGE, VIASPACE Inc. shareholders stand to benefit from VGE's expected business growth and appreciation in value.
The S-1 filing, effective registration by the SEC and exchange-listing of the common shares of VGE also meet a condition for the second closing of the October 21, 2008, acquisition of Inter-Pacific Arts (IPA). VIASPACE Inc. is in negotiations with the seller of IPA to effect the second closing, and the deadline for the second closing has been extended from November 26, 2009, to December 15, 2009.

China announce plans to boost energy efficiency
China to cut carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP in 2020 by 40-45 percent from 2005
On 3:35 am EST, Thursday November 26, 2009
BEIJING (AP) -- China says it is aiming for a big boost in energy efficiency by cutting carbon dioxide emissions per unit of gross domestic product by up to 45 percent by 2020.
The announcement from the State Council, or Cabinet, comes ahead of next month's Copenhagen climate summit, which aims to produce a new global climate change treaty to replace the 1997 Kyoto Protocol.
The State Council said it "is a voluntary action taken by the Chinese government based on its own national conditions and is a major contribution to the global effort in tackling climate change."
China announced earlier Thursday that Premier Wen Jiabao will take part in the Copenhagen meeting.
