According to the last PR, we should be expecting an update on the warrants this week. Does anyone know if that includes the corrective actions they are planning for the 504-D as well?
Dunno, but it didn't last long :)
Website Update: Jason Perkins picked up in market of 6 million
The new single release "The Blind Man Saw It All" by Jason Perkins has been picked up in radio markets and one station has over 6 million listeners. Jason will be featured on the stations site and Nashville Records banner will be featured on the stations main page. Further details will be forthcoming. (The station has granted permission to post this news). Several other Internet driven radio markets are anticipated as well.
Did you know the Salt Lake City area is one of the biggest country music markets in the United States. For many artists it is the biggest market. We have been told that several of the city's biggest stations are planning to put Jason into rotation. The Company has also visited with the two big newspapers there and they are planning features in the near future on Jason. There are other stations that have him into rotation now. Help support Jason by visiting his site. If you didn't see news of the release you can view it here: http://top40-charts.com/news.php?cat=Country

Is this the part where they rinse and repeat? Buyers beware until more information comes out.
Mokyo Toe,
Perhaps you misjudged my enthusiasm. I am not entirely happy with the actions taken by the company, and I think my reasons are much the same as everyone else here.
To answer your questions, though:
1) Yes, I bought 3 copies of the album (1 for myself, 2 as gifts). I disagree that the lineup was weak. In fact, both of the CD's I gave as gifts were given a lot of praise by those who I gave them to. Although I, myself, am not a country music fan, there were a couple of tracks that appealed to me as well. Of course the album wasn't a blockbuster. We talked about that before it was released, and most people understood that going in. However, the album will be distributed for 3 years, and the company has already stated that they missed a deadline for this year to have the CD's widely distributed in department stores. I don't know what sales figures were, but it has been mentioned that Gene was happy with sales this season. Honestly, given what it is, that's good enough for me. Also, FWIW, the CD is currently sold out at barnesandnoble.com. I don't know what they had for inventory, but that at least tells me that the initial run did well there.

2) Jason Perkins - Of course he's unknown, he's a NEW artist! He's only been signed for two months, and he's already released his first single. I agree with Chevy that they should have PR'd this, but perhaps they have other plans. They are in the process of selecting material for his first album and it is supposed to be released this year. Logically, a tour should follow.
3) As an investor in this company, I find it particularly advantageous that they are putting their eggs in different baskets. Let's face it, the music industry is brutal, especially for a startup record company. Trust me, they are well aware that current attempts at thwarting piracy have been an utter failure. This is why they are so high on TriMark. If someone developed a system which could guarantee that music couldn't be pirated, don't you think the companies who are losing billions of dollars to piracy would come running to at least take a peek?
Obviously, we both have our own perceptions of this company. It certainly isn't the best investment choice, but then again, what is? I'm not here to try to persuade someone to buy or sell the stock. I just want to get all the information I can about the company I chose to invest in. There are some important questions that still need to be answered, but all in all, I believe the company has made some real progress since the quiet period last summer.
I agree that things haven't gone as smoothly as everyone would have liked, but I'm not going to jump on the bandwagon and say that NSHV is doomed. Think about it. This company has only been around for one year. In that very short time, they have compiled, recorded, produced, and sold a Christmas album, signed an artist to the label, AND they are currently trying to raise funds to get TriMark off the ground. All in all, I'd say it turned out to be a pretty good year considering all of the legal trouble they had over the summer. Just my thoughts, but I think it's a little too early to be throwing in the towel on this one.
Website Update: Jason Perkins Single Release, Jan 15
Jason Perkins single began release to radio today-January 15th.
It will take a number of days to get it dispatched to all the radio stations but listeners can start requesting now. Call you local country radio station and request "The Blind Man Saw It All" by Jason Perkins. If they do not have it yet let them know they can receive it by emailing corporate@nashvillerecords.com.
We can have it to them in a manner of minutes. With today's technology they can receive the single immediately and can put it in rotation based upon their decision or with enough requests. We seek your assistance. Contact your radio station now.
I agree. I think that bit of information should be removed from the iBox, since it is rather misleading.
TLV,
I remember asking about this a couple of months ago. Along with most everything, I believe this was pushed back because of the legal issues which the company was working through over the summer. At least the company still appears to be sticking to the business plan. Let's hope 2008 treats us better than 2007.
Update from Nashville website:
Jason Mastering and Web Complete
The single release of Jason Perkins performing "The Blind Man Saw It All" has completed mastering and the promotional site is now ready at www.blindmanvideo.com. We were delayed a bit due to Jason coming down with a bad cold and difficulty in studio scheduling.
Readers are now urged to begin hitting the site and downloading. If you find any programming issues please email webmaster@nashvillerecords.com
The single release is planned for January 15th and remember to request it at your local country, pop and Contemporary stations. If they do not have it in rotation yet they can email the Company at corporate@nashvillerecords.com.
Two important updates on the Nashville Records website:
1) TriMark Video Presentation
TriMark has completed an introductory webpage and video presentation. It is designed and geared to help the Company present the technology to industry professionals and start seeking the funding sources interested in the project.
The webpage and video are not intended for general audience viewing but can be accessed from the Nashville Records website Investors Section by clicking on the Investors link, logging in, and viewing from this Investors section or by permission only. For permission to view if the Investors section should not work; you should contact Mr. Taylor at john@nashvillerecords.com. If Nashville Records investors have not registered they can do so from this webpage.
The Company has been meeting with producers of both the music and movie industry and the response has been incredible. This is part of the feasibility study being conducted for TriMark. Every producer has seen the desperate need for TriMark and acknowledged their product is victimized by theft. Sadly, Nashville Records My Kinda Christmas album was victimized by this theft thousands upon thousands of times in the course of 3 weeks through Internet newsgroups, and worst of all there is complete anonymity for the perpetrators.
Never before has such a technology as TriMark been needed so desperately to help preserve the music industry. TriMark is a unique and ingenious technology being pioneered to minimize the risk of piracy. No one but TriMark has conceived such an advanced technology and the need for its complete development becomes more apparent every day.
When you open the Webpage it may take a moment for the video to download and automatically start playing. You may need to activate the ActiveX on your browser to view the video.
2) Jason Perkins single release
Jason Perkins single is being prepared for radio release for about the 15th of January.
Delays occured because Jason came down with a bad cold and could not get to the studio quicker and due to studio scheduling the final mastering got delayed a few days. The single is nearly mixed and mastered and should finish on January 8th.
Readers will be urged to call their radio stations and request the song when it releases. If your radio station does not have it yet simply tell them to contact corporate@nashvillerecords.com. With today's technology they can receive the single in minutes and can put it in rotation based upon their decision or with enough requests.
Strongus, I'm with you. I bought at .40 today as well to bring my average down to .68. Call me crazy, but I'm feeling pretty good about this stock this year.
Updates from NSHV Website:
Site changes
The company website will update changes by January 22nd. The current settings will be saved so it can be used for the 2008 Christmas season but the Christmas sections will be taken down until then.
Christmas Album
Christmas is over but the My Kinda Christmas CD will be available directly from this site until the 21st of January and discounted to $10, which includes the shipping costs. This past season it was available in places such as Barnes
Jason Perkins Radio Single Release
Jason Perkins single is being prepared for radio release for about the 15th of January. He has been in studio recording the past few days and the single is currently being mixed and mastered.
Readers will be urged to call their radio stations and request the song when it releases. If your radio station does not have it yet simply tell them to contact corporate@nashvillerecords.com. With today's technology they can receive the single in minutes and can put it in rotation based upon their decision or with enough requests.
Bid finally moved up too!
.51 print!
AFAIK, the company is no longer talking to anyone, the corporate charter was revoked, they've chosen to no longer update the SEC on their progress (or lack thereof), and all operations were moved down to the Bahamas. I'd say you were spot on with that comment!
Interestingly, a lot of the subsidiaries that Welch screwed over are still in business. I was poking around the other day and saw that InMarketing merged with someone else. All the hype of spinoff shares and stock dividends turned out to be just that.
As for Jason Perkins, the Nashville website states that they are working on his first radio single which should be coming out soon.
"Jason Perkins single is being prepared for radio release and will start the first week of January 2008.
We want readers to call their radio stations and request the song when it releases. Full details will be forthcoming."
From the PR:
"At first glance it may not seem like QuestPay is congruent with a record label but work has been ongoing for nearly two years because it is a designed integral component of TriMark(TM) anti piracy technology that is planned for the future. It will also benefit the label by eliminating high interest third party payment processors."
TriMark has not gone anywhere!
I heard the Juice Newton track over the weekend on a local station that is playing non-stop Christmas music.
I believe that statement was made about the music industry in general. It's no secret that the music and movie industries are losing money hand over fist because of illegal downloading. Christmas album sales may not generate much excitement (and we don't know this for sure!), but to consider that statement a forecast of company sales would be stretching it I think. JMO
Chevy, that's excellent news! Thanks!
That PR contains a lot of info, but it is missing details about how they paid for it. All stock transaction?
How so? So far, all we have is interim statements!
Thanks for the update.
Does anyone know if a deal with Kimberly Caldwell is still in the works?
The szng live journal content is back up. Apparently, Malyshev is encouraging open communication. Aside from George blowing his top over and over, you may find some interesting reading.
Actually, I believe it was 30 cents by September. He's running a little behind schedule ;)
You can also purchase the songs for $0.75/ea on the Nashville Records website. When I tested, however, multiple downloads weren't available yet, so you'd have to purchase each song individually using PayPal.
It is entitled "My Kind'a Christmas" and can be found at a variety of online sites included Barnes & Noble, Amazon, CDBaby, etc.
Take a look recent PR's for more options. When I bought mine, B&N was the cheapest.
I particularly enjoyed the Juice Newton track. There are at least two tracks that I could see having no problems crossing over to non-country stations.
Happy Thanksgiving to you as well (and everyone else, of course).
Lots of dumping this morning...Eek!
Looks like they put out an update on this:
Phone Calls on Distribution 11/16/07
We have had calls this morning about distribution questions and where CD's can be purchased. We have been putting out news on the site and Press Releases concerning availablility. Remember, we do not get the big big major this year, like WalMart, as the deadline for placement was in May and album completion was not until way later. We will have to wait until next year for much of the big major distribution. This was PR'd as well. We wish to encourage all to give the Christmas CD as gifts for your family and friends and they can be ordered at BarnesandNoble.com, Target.com, BestBuy.com, CircuitCity.com, Amazon.com, and other sites as well. Most of these sites are now ready to start shipping. Also check out this link: http://cdbaby.com/cd/mykindachristmas
We need to focus on getting our sites; nashvillerecords.com, blindmanvideo.com, jasonperkinsband.com, and myspace sites fully functioning over the next few days and ask you to hold off on questions of this nature for a few days. We all have been working tirelessly, 17 plus hours a day for 3-4 weeks and finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. My son and I went to BestBuy here in Nashville and was disappointed to find they were not going to carry the CD in their store this year, but you can order from a lot of places. Terri
My Kind'a Christmas
Hey folks. I just got home and opened up the shipment with the Christmas CD's. I was very surprised at the quality. I've certainly seen (and own) a lot of Christmas compilations which are far inferior. The CD is very professional looking with the Nashville Records logo proudly displayed on the CD, tray card, and spine. It contains a simple booklet with track listing and credits on the inside. The last page is a collage of all the artists that participated on the album. The front and back cover contain images of a horse drawn sleigh and snow-covered mountain range respectfully. All in all, a decent looking product which I'm happy to be giving as a gift this year.
If it's not, I suspect it will be there before the end of the month. They're shipping from the online stores now (mine are arriving today, in fact).
I personally bought 3 CD's as gifts, and I've also purchased two songs from the website. I don't listen to country music, but there are a couple of tracks that I believe could easily cross-over to increase exposure (Juice Newton and Brooke Morton tracks come to mind). NRI has done an awesome job with distribution, this thing is everywhere! That, in itself, gives me goosebumps. I understand people's frustration (myself included), but to bail now would be premature IMO.
By the sounds of it, I really don't think it's going to be that cut and dry. Why would they go through the bother of this contest if it were? It's probably best to wait and see what else they put on the table before making a judgment call.
OT: Good news! CD's are now shipping from B&N. Maybe they'll be in stores soon as well.
You're not crazy, I see it in Command Center as well
