Yes, exactly. I should have worded that differently. I meant "When" they get approved...
Also, maybe if they announced that they've been approved as a government contractor, that might be good for a penney rise in the share price.
There's only two things that will move the share price in a positive direction. The sale of an airship (to a verifiable third party not associated with WSGI) or if GTC's revenues get into the millions (not thousands). Plain and simple. IMHO
Shhhhhhh.....
That may cause some fluctuation in the share price.....Shhhhhh. Don't tell anyone. Keep it on the down low.
That's the biggest thing that I, and I would asume most of us, want to know. Has the ARGUS ever flown at 5,10,15 or 20,000 ft unteathered? Has it ever reached it's designed altitude? I can understand not devulging what kind of payloads have been tested, etc., but I don't think telling us that the ARGUS has flown at it's designed altitude would be giving away any government secrets. Wasn't that the main reason for going to Yuma and Nevada? To free flight? It would go along way to instill a little investor confidence in their uav products. If it has reached altitude, why wouldn't they tell us. They can't be THAT stupid, can they? IMO
"These tests are expected to continue in Easton, MD."
I guess this means more tethered testing. Sure would like to know if they've done any free flight testing at altitude? (any altitude worth mentioning)
Run, that's a little harsh. I would have said....Probably none. You know WW, with all your crazy ass WAGS, I hope to hell your like that blind squirrel.....
"And for your information there is no way, Estrella are Barbara Johnson are duping people. The contract exists."
Some people said that about Huff. It would be nice to have some bonafide proof.
Yeah, maybe if we get a couple more "contract" announcements like the last ones, we can get this down into the 03's. WTF.
The only problem with that reply.....
"What I can say is that you should only rely on the Company for information of this sort."
I feel like someone is telling me to keep my eye on the swinging timepiece and repeating that phrase over and over....LOL
At this point we should expect alot more. IMO
This link is somewhat dated, refering to Sanswire and the STS-111?
Trash, Sorry, just had a moment of "common sense" hit me.
WTF!!!!
Actually it's a little Cap'n & Coke. : )
No kidding! Apparently the more things change, the more they stay the same. WTF! Oh gee, I almost forgot all about the "Blimp". WTF is up with that?? Almost took my eye off the ball!!...LOL
It's pretty friggin' pathetic when we have to sit here and play guessing games at what kind of contract it is or as in the previous annoncement, who exactly it's with! WTF! We finally get a government contract(s)(I THINK) and it's tainted because we can't find a third party confirmation that it's real!! No listing of the contract on the Gov website, no 8K, NO NOTHING! WTF??
I think it was listed in the 10K if I'm not mistaken.
I don't have the link here at work, but I believe there's an e-mail link on the Defense Dept. Contract page for inquiries.
Isn't GTC-UK a separate company still owned by Phipps and WSGI's GTC is the US based company? (to which the contract award was made) So I don't think we have to worry about money going to the UK. Or do we?
Nah, we're the ones getting pounded!
Nothing like the news of a government contract to drive the share price down!...LOL (not really funny)
That's what I was thinking also. It's probably an "Indefinate Delivery/Indefinate Quantity" type contract. If so, there should be a time limit to the terms.
This might be a stupid question but is WSGI required to file an 8K if the contract is awarded to their subsidiary GTC and not to WSGI directly?
That's exactly what it WAS.....shite!! Hopefully now it's not! Just reminiscing over painfull memories. Bagel's right, let's look forward!! Besides, I'm starting to feel sick.
Oh, I don't know...I kinda miss seeing the video of the "blimp on a stick" in front of the fan! LOL
Yes, I remember that discussion. Not sure if any of that actually took place but...
Ah yes, I believe it was someone's cousin. All the memories are flooding back now. Kinda brings a tear to my eye!(or creepy chills)
"...and have gotten a lot of enjoyment from the board."
Watching and reading this board has been more entertaining than most of the crap on prime time TV!..LOL
Hope they don't ever cancel this "epic tale". (or I'll be bored to tears)
Well, in my case. I bought into the blimp dream back when Huff and company was running the show. I ended up selling at a big loss years ago. But I, as many here, continued to watch and follow the story.(Better than a soap opera) Recently bought back in, now that it looks like they may actually have a product. I really can't imagine anyone holding and riding this all the way down to where it is today. At least I got a tax write off from it. Just hoping, like most here, lightning strikes.......and makes Cool a rich man!
Nothin' wrong with dreamin'! (as long as you can afford it) : )
C'mon Cool, who are you kidding. You'll be here, like the rest of us, until they board up the doors and turn off the lights!...lol
Yep, and we're still here. I believe the Trident exercise was for testing the HotZone phones, etc., wasn't it? Just seems a little more "REAL" this time. We do need to see the $$$$$!!
Well, if it is a train, at least it'll put us out of our misery! LOL
Why would anybody get out now after being in so long. The company has NEVER been in a better position to potentially make a buck. Not saying they're going to, but at least now they have an actual product being tested at a DOD site and a subsidiery thats begining to generate a little revenue. IMO, If you haven't folded by now, you never will.
Nil, I just hope they're actively testing. You know, IMO, announcing that the Argus has reached it's designed altitude, etc., would do a lot more for the share price than "promoting" the company in any penny stock rags.
Agreed! Long overdue.
The last we heard was,
"In preparation for subsequent DoD coordinated flights, the Argus One UAV has been re-stationed at the N2S2 facilities where the airship remains inflated inside a hangar facility for further testing, evaluation and demonstrations as weather conditions and scheduling permit."
I hope the hell it's not just sitting there leaking helium!
Well if it's when a definitive agreement is reached or signed, which is what I assume has happened, then don't they have to put out an 8k within 4 business days?
How about the little issue of WSGI getting certified as a government contractor? I could see if this is a "Gotta have it now" type of product, it could probably get fast tracked. I've got a feeling they're not seeing it that way. Maybe with the new COB, It'll happen soon. IMO
Wasn't it coastie who said this would never get above .075 after the La Jolla deal?
Strange trading day. No trades in the last 70 minutes?
I hope you're right. I don't really get a warm and fuzzy feeling about La Jolla.
