Best Wishes to Joseph Dowling CEO for a very successful meeting at "Jim Cramer's Boot Camp for Investors" tomorrow/Saturday. I quote from Cramer's advertisement for this event "Jim Cramer has gathered the best in the business, including top contributors from TheStreet, to discuss these and other topics. Attendees will leave with actionable advice and a deeper understanding of today’s market trends."
CVSI & Joseph Dowling - The Best in the Business!
Thank you, Jim Cramer!
See you all back on Monday, good weekend!
Time for a POP! Make it so CVSI! Longs - Prepare for G forces - Countdown Commencing Engines On!
Based on his posts, I believe his role today is to assist shorts to close out their positions before end of day and prior to the weekend. Based on money flow indications and chart, it is more likely than not that CVSI will close testing the $5.28 high again, and possibly pass through it.
If Cramer mentions CVSI, it would absolutely rocket! He has way more power than the short squad.
What are the odds Cramer Mentions CVSI in his TV show after the investing event - it's value position, great management team, tremendous earnings growth momentum and future potential, etc?
Old Man CVSI rolled off the bed again, but I caught him at $5.10 to save him. Wake up old man, we got some stairs to climb!
That's when those quasi-daily announcements on the media about a class action lawsuit end, where they are trying to find a lead plaintiff. The constant announcements certainly have a chilling effect on the stock. I suspect Nasdaq may be waiting for the outcome of this - that is, to see if they were able to find a lead plaintiff. I suspect they will come up empty and it will be thrown out. Nasdaq can then make their move.
CVSI stock moved like an old man - got all exited and turned up the volume for a few minutes and then turned off the volume and went back to sleep....zzzz....zzzz....zzzz.. He might just roll off the bed again.
CWBHF - My Trading Screen photo attached (after markets closed) for Charlottes Web Holdings Inc - TDAmeritrade has different platforms to enter orders. I use their "ThinkorSwim" platform which is highly customizable. This is about 40% of my layout for trading (a portion of 4 unified screens). This is how it looks with Times & Sales & Level II Quotes, and a chart with some customized studies/ indicators. To the right (not shown) I have a different study of the same company I have on the left (Mostly, CVSI currently). I don't show it, but I have a number of small charts of other companies I'm following to the left and the quotes on various market indicators at the upper left as well so I can see what's going within the context of the market segment I'm trading and the overall market. Retest $5.05 or $4.00? Given a down day in the market and widespread market gitters from yesterday, I'm leaning to $4.00. If the overall market doesn't repeat yesterday's performance, we should stay above $4.66 /200 period moving average/15 minute period.

There is no sense in having a large inventory of CBD or other oil based products. Consumer food products, especially those containing oils, have a limited shelf life. This is because oils oxidize/turn rancid over time with exposure to air (UV exposure greatly speeds up oxidation). Oxidized fats serve as sources of free radicals (and inflammation) when ingested, not to mention this makes oils taste bad. Fatty acids are not broken apart when ingested. They are transported to cells throughout the body where they largely become incorporated into cellular membranes and structures. Some of it is used by the heart muscle as fuel (the heart's primary fuel source), and some of it is used for hormone production to regulated body processes; some of which affect inflammation and brain/nerve function (the brain and nerves are mostly composed of fat). One should refrigerate or freeze any oil containing products that won't be consumed within several months. I always freeze oil containing supplements that I won't use right away and I refrigerate the rest. If it's inside a gel cap it helps keep oxygen out but it's still better to refrigerate them. Any household oils or food open to air that contain fat should be thrown out after 6 months exposed to air at room temperature, even if they aren't exposed to UV /sunlight (a massive stimulator of oxidation).
Looks like a Pop is setting up for end of day. Money flow, closing out shorts, increase volume on rise.
Advise to New Traders - Flip The Monitor Upside-Down - Then you'll continue to buy when it goes up and sell when it goes down but you'll really be doing the opposite - which is how to win in the long term.

Josh Hendricks Interview from Oct 1st - Thanks sleuth100 for digging that up. It needs to be promoted by CVSI press release so it gets on google and mainstream media.
Me too! Presidential Alert! Buy CV Sciences!
General interest progressively declined faster than short interest. October 1st short volume at 51.8% and October 2nd 47.49% (yesterday) we were above 50% in short volume relative to total volume. This likely made the stock vulnerable to a concerted short attack, which broke down our sideways pattern. To me this is just rocking the pot of water to create waves upon which to profit (both on the down and up). Short volume-interest
Context trumps general rules. Not to say I wouldn't do what you said given a certain context in an incremental way. However, what tends to happen is you end up trading at the extreme and then the stock reverse direction and the opportunity is missed.
Wrong! You never sell in a falling knife pattern, just like you never chase a stock to buy in a rising knife pattern.
Awww! Shorts drawing a Head & Shoulders. They are so artistic! I send them a smiley bear for their technical artistry. When shorts represent over 50% of volume, guess who gets to control the price picture.
Yep! Short Vol. abo 52%. The wise bought into fear today (if they had money to invest). They will eventually sell into greed. The entire sector was down, so the movement down was expected given no news. Short interest CVSI
The 2018 Farm Bill isn't good for Farmers - A Farm Bill should support small and medium sized farms - this is actually bad for them. It provides even greater competitive advantage to large industrial farms at the expense of small farms. With the polarity of the current congress, I think it is pie-in-the-sky to believe a Farm Bill will be passed in the Lame-Duck session after the election. It will most probably be a 2019 Farm Bill. As an investor, we need to think about what is most probable vs just possible. I agree that the hemp provision shouldn't impact the NASDAQ uplisting decision. Farm Bill A Sellout to Big Ag
Thanks Spacelady and microcappatty regarding CBD oil TCH content being far under 0.1% THC. I agree that a PR response needs to come from the company to clarify any possible misunderstanding regarding this new DEA rescheduling action.
Right! So industrial hemp is required to have a THC content of less than 0.3%. The question is then what is the THC content of CBD oil, which is a product of extraction from industrial hemp? Is it less than 0.1%? The FDA seems to be still holding the ball. This article also has some interesting commentary on this topic - it is very conflicting, both good and not so good - "muddy" is the term. FDA Enforcement following GW Drug Approval?
Market Response, DEA move is a slight Disappointment overall, although a move in the right direction. What do you expect from the DEA? - Jeff Sessions appointed the new DEA chief, Uttam Dhillon, in July. Jeff Sessions is on record stating “good people don’t smoke marijuana”, and “we need grown-ups in charge in Washington to say marijuana is … in fact a very real danger.” Bill to End Marijuana Prohibition Act. Details of the Ending Federal Marijuana Prohibition Act
Big Pharma doesn't want competition. Many people that start using CBD and other cannabis products stop using pharmaceuticals. This is why the conversation about nutrition is still pretty much the same as it was in the 1950's (vitamins and minerals). The nutrition label is a great way to limit (re-frame) what nutrition means, this way even a piece of highly processed toxic faux food can be sprinkled with vitamins and minerals and seem like it's just as or more nutritious than real food. There are thousands upon thousands of nutrients in nature, many of which we are only just discovering. These can also be therapeutics and have curative powers. Big Ag and Big Pharma, and their armies of lobbyists, are holding this country back. Nearly Half of People Who Use Cannabidiol Products Stop Taking Traditional Medicines Aside: It seems inappropriate to use the word "Traditional" in the headline, I would just refer to it as "Western" medicine and limit the word "Traditional" as a reference to Traditional Chinese Medicine, much of which is derived from nature. No surprise then that Cannabis is noted in Chinese Medicine back to 2737 BC.
News - Farm Bill Will Expire. Negotiators will get back together after the mid-term elections.
Farm Deal to Expire
Good to see a calmness in CVSI and other cannabis stocks, although most cannabis stocks today are down slightly like CVSI. I suspect most short-sellers don't want to short CVSI and be hit by news of the Farm Bill passing given only a couple trading days remaining before the farm bill funding deadline of Sept 30th, or even the uncertain reaction to an extension, not to mention a possible Nasdaq Uplist that's probable enough at any time. After an initial uncertainty at opening,CVSI recovered quickly and spent most of the day waving in the wind like a bullish flag that just doesn't have enough volume to be excited and push through the 5:18ish resistance. In the near past, the short-selling machine exploited low volume periods to push the price down and make money. CVSI is a sleeping bull, consolidating, strengthening, while waiting on news. IMHO.
Extension needs to happen by 30th - It's a cloud over CBD because investors should have similar concerns; namely, what happens if the 2014 Farm Bill expires? It seems a legal grey area. Once the extension is passed the status quo remains. It should be politically easy to extend. To not extend would be bad for both sides of the political spectrum..........Extension or Expiration of Farm Bill?
Thank you Streetwise & and CBD Gummies for putting an end to a 4-day downtrend!
It's been 8 weeks since the July 23rd announcement of the filing for uplist to NASDAQ. The typical time period for this process is advertised to be 4 to 6 weeks, so the uplist can't be fully factored into the price. Of course, the uplist changes the reach, demand, and fundamental nature of the stock, which are all greatly positive. It would be impossible to fully factor that into the price. It will be a whole new ball-game. Should a rejection be announced short-sellers will exploit the opportunity to push the stock-price down (IMHO), but I don't believe it would be long-lived (I'll be buying into any significant further discounting). I agree earnings will continue to drive the stock out of this fog of obscurity and manufactured defamation by a certain character. The uplist is almost inevitable in the not too distant future, and the ridiculous parade of lawsuit announcements will take a break around late October when the attorneys shadowing Citron's Trojan-horse stereophonic shorting ensemble with misleading capitalized Dolby digital headlines and surround-sound media endorsements to circle other potential prey, and to aid and abet the short-campaign's effectiveness in tearing investors from their money. First they rape the victim and then they file a lawsuit against the victim for being victimized. I'm hopeful the spreading "me too" movement will put an end to this logic.
Late day price adjust back to 5+?

My reading - Deep pockets were protecting the $5 line. I believe we saw evidence today of deep-pocketed investors protecting their investments in CVSI and a NASDAQ uplist by protecting the $5(+) close. Even if $5 isn't absolutely necessary for uplist. The obvious assualts of short-selling big "Asks" were met with big "Bids" almost in lock-step. It was a battle all day long. The short selling failed. That's good news. We now have a backbone! The buying ammunition wasn't wasted on getting it much above $5, just holding the line. Pushing it up so it can be pushed back down only enriches short selling activity.
Meritless Lawsuits Against Innovators Rise. It's now often the cost of doing business for contributing to long-term economic success. I would ascribe this to the suppression of innovation by those who want the status quo - monopolies that are threatened by innovators. Unfortunately, those who wanted "free markets" (free to compete, so a measure of self-regulation can exist) got "free markets" instead (free from sensible regulation and antitrust laws). This resulted in the formation of stifling monopolies that suppress innovators and small companies (indirectly and directly). Whether you are Tesla or CV sciences, meritless lawsuits are a "thing" that should be suprising Meritless Lawsuits - Columbia Law
Great Post Carl! - It Appears Negotiations Are Underway with NASDAQ based on this information. Management should act in the interest of shareholders in their role with the company to take the steps necessary to satisfy NASDAQ's demands.
IMHO - A Better Farm Bill Coming Early 2019 after 1 Year Extension - I don't see this as a big deal for CV Sciences since they are growing exponentially without the legalization of hemp, and a new and much improved farm bill should be easy to pass with a massive shift in power in the House and Senate coming. It's not only about SNAP and how that affects veterans and farmers, and other's experiencing hard times. It really harms small and medium sized farms since the benefits are focused on helping Big Ag and Big Chemical. It makes organic farming more expensive, it may require the use of cancer causing Roundup in community playgrounds, allows the EPA to approve pesticides without regard to their affect on endangered species; such as salmon and honeybees. It gives a free reign to logging forest land. Wait a few months and it will be much better. An extension will be a victory for everyone but this mega-corporate-shill administration.
CVSI is fine, just Tilray turbulence. Please make sure your overhead baggage compartment is closed properly.
Tilray is going through a dead-mans bounce - but it was such a big bounce that it triggered another trading halt.
