Bwahahahah!
Gone in 3...2....1...
Good morning!
We seem to be forming a flag or pennant (too early to tell).
Target is still $0.1191 in the short term.
Several scenarios are possible for long term but nothing has really started setting up.
There is one I am watching with a target of $0.61 but it is just wishful thinking right now (I'm still keeping an eye on it though!).
Wow. I guessed 500k but I hope you're correct.
Daily chart breakout is not confirmed.
We are definitely watching the same top line - that's the one I alluded to in the description. Thanks for drawing it. I did not.
I would think that almost everyone here has long term holdings.
Put an earnings chart up at the other place.
Thanks. I missed that. Not really paying attention today. Doing some gardening and cocktails.
My guess: $230k in revenue for the quarter.
I do not know what you mean.
I have not posted anything from 2012. Perhaps you simply did not understand. If I may be of assistance, just let me know.
The 50 DMA has crossed above the 100 DMA.
Usually people refer to the 50 crossing the 200 as a "Golden Cross" so let's call this a silver cross. Good for vampires?
BTW: 200 DMA is at $0.0875 currently
Thank you.
The 50 day moving average is in the process of crossing above the 100 day moving average.
I put some charts up on stocktwits.com/r/LQMT_STOCK/
Target $0.119
There was no gap.
Looks like we will.
Whoa!
Any guesses as to what's happening?
Thanks for being so gracious.
I get it. A post about a puny fraction of a fraction of a cent seems silly.
I post about short term breakouts that have very little to do with the $1, $5, or $10 level we are all hoping for. But, it's what I know how to do and I have been successful doing it so I offer it here. I just look at the signals and tell what they imply based on the probabilities.
Fundamentals move stocks, you are correct. However, T/A detects shifts in sentiment that may mean that some buyers/sellers might have an inkling that the fundamentals are changing. It is a way to detect unusual patterns that tell us that something has changed.
Human responses are very predictable and humans in groups are even more predictable so when news and rumors begin to spread about a stock, technical analysis can pick it up before the rumors become public because it picks up a change in buying & selling. It can even predict price targets because it is predictable when people sell. Some sell for a double some sell for 50% - the pattern repeats for the group as a whole. It's not magic. It's about watching human behavior with mathematics.
Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. It does give you a very nice edge though.
EDIT: WE pulled some bananas from oneof our trees and made drinks - a lot of them - so apologies if this is convoluted
I get your point about T/A on this stock and it can be frustrating to see a breakout just fizzle out.
That said, you may want to look at my latest post which has a bit of a longer term outlook.
MODS: Please do not delete. This is NOT spam. I derive no income from this. In fact, considering opportunity costs, I lose money.
Overall market appears to be topping - right now /ES is 3164 and there doesn't appear to be velocity to support it. I am at 80% cash.
LQMT doesn't really follow market trends so it will probably unaffected.
Thanks.
I put up a different scenario on a chart at the other place. I am not allowed to post a link to it or it gets deleted for being "SPAM" even though users routinely link to their charts.
I may have been too hasty in labeling the breakout as a failure.
Did not know about the USS Ramius.
We had a couple of friends over and we started talking about the market and current events this last week. We sat and drank and discussed the risk/rewards that we saw and we also talked about LQMT (he owns some). At the end of the discussion we both got on our computers and did some trades.
I took our positions down to 80% cash and he went to 50%. Interestingly though, we both bought more LQMT. The risk/reward seems better for LQMT than the overall market to both of us.
Ha! I wish I could tell.
My guess is that the perceived value here is stuck until there evidence of some sort of increase in business. Also, the is a lot of fatigue among the stockholders (just read this board!) and any climb will be full of setbacks and holders decide to liquidate.
This is the second failed breakout from a tight trading range. The second breakout had a bit more energy yet failed nonetheless.
