Thanks Craig, and Mide: AGREE and part of it, fully.
Merlin, nice find! Looks like the second surprise for the day.
HAPS-Chile like in High Altitude Platforms.....
Bueno amigo, suerte para el dia!
Y muchisimas gracias.
Thanks Mide,well informed as usual.
And Merry Xmas to NMC and TAO employees in whose hands the future of the company rests....
Good luck to all the longs and let us pray for the best 2008 ever.
Mide thanks for the doll and star, really appreciated, but not deserved fully.
We live in different time zones, ten hours apart, at least. And I am a bit late with my reply. But still, for amity, fun and argument I want to tell it all. You missed the page number reference in my message. It was 23 and not 61 (were your finding is).
I figured out "NOT" was the best 3 letter word that could go wrong, and miss spelt for "NOW" or not deleted. I did a search and found this sentence on page 23:
"We do not have existing capital resources or credit lines available that are sufficient to fund our operations and contractual obligations as presently planned over the next twelve months."
How about changing "not" for "now" in the above sentence? It would sound much better, would it not??
The alternative is closing down shop pretty soon......LOL!
But then this sentence taken out of context is misleading as the para goes on saying, "the Company has been dependent upon monthly funding from its existing debt holders".
In short your typo is an error, an error. Mine above is not an error, unfortunately......
Well again thanks a lot for holding the fort, I am long too :)
Mide is it a "NOT" on page 23?
And thanks for the continuous stream of info and insights you share on this board!
Eqbeck thanks for the additional info. I did not mean in any way to show disrespect for prof Kroplin. Stuttgard University is a state university and it is not far fetched to assume that most, if not all of the funding is public either from government or the European Union.
The Uni businnes campus would be a far cry or a very modest attempt to replicate the Silicon Valley model, where academia and private sector have established synergies of incredible scale.
In Europe with a few exceptions (e.g. Cambridge) it is a lot more difficult for academia to work with industry. And I suspect this is the main reason why TAO is still willing to put up with Sanswire, in spite of the very poor record performance to date (there may be more, but we have not been told yet).
So the engine behind TAO remains academia and in this case one person Prof Kroplin working with (from the document you posted):
"- students
- scientific assistants / research associates
- alumni (up to five years after finishing their university studies)of Stuttgart University and research organizations in the Stuttgart Region."
Look at the people testing SAS51: they are all PhD students! (And may be a few university technicians and volunteers.)
Better for sure than our GTEM 7 Samurais left behind in sunny Florida and Texas. LOL!
df agree, GTEM has something that TAO was interested in. The problem is we can only make a considerate guess as to the why and the what.....of this partnership.
A university based outfit is R&D oriented, GTEM can provide a market for R&D products that are reaching maturity.....
At this point in time the fact that TAO has accepted to enter into an agreement with GTEM can only mean that GTEM has retained (enough) credibility, both as a viable commercial company and as the rightful owner of proprietary technology that is of (some) value, across an ocean, with partners from a very different background and culture.
TAO is not being investigated by the SEC, has not been de-listed, has not suffered from major upheavals in term of staffing, legal procedures, firing and hiring and accusations of unpaid bills, theft, patent's rights violations, mexican chicanery, russian mobbing, delta aero-spacing, etc. etc.
TAO is more of a one man professorial out fit, with Dr. Bernd Kroplin, founder and president of TAO Technologies, the be all and end all of TAO. A seer, visionary and technology geek, working out of a reputed German university techno-campus, that chooses to renew a business relationship with GTEM against all odds and a miserable flop after attempting to make a success story with a flying sausage by the name of Sky dragon. He is now doing the unthinkable, trying again with Lotte and more to come.
Well if dear, savvy, old Bernd is ready to give it another try, this is definitely good news for all of us! Thanks professor and GLTUA!
PS:Some time back Klaus Bonn would have taken all the credit for the German connection. These days it must be one of the multilingual staff, holding the fort, behind the new TAO-Sanswire JV.... And I am very happy that we have a lady-ship name for this project: LOTTE. The name alone is auspicious. LOL! I mean it.

Crash, yes get the feeling and sincerely hope so. "Me too" I should say.
But "the Company simply needs to do what it's required to do"..... you say.
What does that exactly mean, please?
And I would like to hear that stated from our new CEO.... Right? Surely not from any of us shareholders.
Of course there is so much house cleaning left to be done that is a bit premature to expect for something like a business/strategic plan and a clear picture forward, to come out right now.
As Rob said in his second and last mass email mid-October (a long way back now):
"Thank you for your continuing patience, support and understanding. We really have asked a lot of you in those areas. I hope you will stay tuned as we continue forward and I look forward to addressing specific concerns as soon as possible. Thank you"
And we are still waiting for the re-statement of the financials 2005-2006 and 2007. And more...... LOL!
Merlin agree, rather auspicious and beautiful.
But 7 employees need to walk a long way from Florida, USA to Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
Who is doing the demo? Who is assembling the extraordinary flying machine and collecting data? Who is behind the R&D?
Who is TAO and who is Sanswire?
Where is the balance and harmony of a joint strategic plan to move forward? Where is the face of it?
We have a face-less, picture-less, data-less, plan-less, sans-tao situation. Thanks God we have Mide being able to visit, talk and lunch with multi lingual company employess (on occasion)to get a feeling of what is the new-face cum left-over company these days.
There was a time with PR-IR-Rob that we managed a snippet of YouTube previews, a promise of a blog-o-sphere, a hint of shareholder (improved) communication and accountability...... What a performance.... LOL!
Yet we are still here, I mean there, well somewhere........come what may.
And Tao means "the way" (of nature).
Tao or Dao (Pinyin: Dào, Cantonese: Dou) is a Chinese character often translated as ‘The way of nature'.
Nil,
Hi! I always enjoy your posts and your DD.
And really appreciated your "rwehapi2003: Nice going!" reply to a great find. Hotzone proof of concept in Pachuca was seriously under question, we/I needed further validation and the "COALITION WARRIOR INTEROPERABILITY DEMONSTRATION 2007 FINAL REPORT" brought it home... superbly.
I was stunned when I read rwehapi post on the CWID rept.Did some dancing around, but it was raining outside. No need to overdo it.
Back to the company change name issue. I just hope that on this the COMPANY (and Rob in particular) is going to deliver, and deliver on time, whatever that means. No one has brought up this idea. Management did. It is part of a strategy RIGHT? They are after something RIGHT? OR NOT?
I can easily imagine a situation where there is going to be silence from management for a number of weeks, about this change name issue.
Posters will start blabbing and arguing between themselves, with nothing coming out it. AS USUAL. What a waste, again, and again and again. This would be another "CLASSIC" GTEM performance.
I am going to go bananas! And think about ways to retaliate if they miss out on this one!
Global Wireless Communications Corp. GLBW(C)
is the alternative just submitted.
I am happy with what we have, having crashed and survived so many times the company has got a reputation to be proud of, for sure. Now what else could go wrong? All our strato-flagship innovators cum-telco specialists have either resigned (e.g.Tim, Alice, Doug), sued the company and/or double crossed it (I mean the company whatever the name is)and us longs (e.g.Uli,Joe).
Not to mention the highwire international PR guys: Ambassadors K-brother and all.
Holy Cow what is left to loose?
But I suspect that doing away with the electronic trail of negative postings and information on the world wide web is part of a marketing strategy intended to provide a new skin and corporate image (not sure about the identity) to a revamped company.
The institutional memory of the company is still looking for a safe haven somewhere. We have lost a couple of gurus and more.
Is TAO-Stuttgard going to be where we roost home?
Currency wise being traded in Euros is definitely a wise choice...
Actually striking gold is not difficult these days, besides being right there in front of our eyes (I mean on the stock exchange) it should entail having (for once) a real company stratoguy,,,, sorry a stratogy,,, I mean strategy and sticking to it. Of course you need at least seven samurais (sorry employees) to implement...
LOL and GLTUA!!!
Mide thanks a lot for this and all the other posts after your "face" meeting. We were all there with you.
And thanks to our CEO and company staff that brought back some sense and reality to where they are, and how they feel about things.
I am on the run in between long haul trips, i will read your posts very carefully during the we. I have a quick question and sorry if this topic is already covered.
But have you got a sense on when the financials will be ready and published?
TIA
Merlin.... speculations bordering on paranoia, still:
Elisra Electronic Systems Ltd > aka state of Israel > aka Illuminati > aka new world order and Vern told us about an israeli connection at least since he was still involved with Strat I. Huuummmm interesting....

TCR: I don't know how he obtained the photos. They could have been taken with a cell phone camera. At the first viewing of the Strat, cameras were forbidden, yet two representatives from Israel were snapping photos with their cell phone cameras.
Here is the rub: The two Israeli reps spoke to me outside the meeting. I told them that I was a Jew to which they said that they had suspected that. Until recently, I tried to keep my religious beliefs to myself. They even knew the name of my chocolate Toy Poodle, Cocopuffs. I believe they were agents of the Israeli Mossad.
Vern has been consistent and informative over time.
Amazing increase in posting volume with little "new" company information. The heat is up and I would put "Pachuca developments" at the top of my agenda right now.
Is Trimax still the only Original Equipment Manufacturer for Pachuca or is GTEM diversifying its procurement sources? Any takers on this request for info? TIA

Kevin: The 2M shares was the compensation Huff thought I should have received from Sanswire. GTE's acquisition of Sanswire had a lot to do with the airship I designed. In reality, there was no contract existing between me and Sanswire when it was sold to GTE.
The Atlanta demonstration was to be performed at 14,000 feet. Sanswire contracted with me for construction of a small airship which could fly to that altitude. I only received $7,500 out of a promised $50K. As time for the test drew near, we had no airship. That was NOT GTE's fault. Because of this time constraint, I suggested that we purchase an ultralight. I have logged approximately 600 hours as an ultralight flight instructor. I chose an Eipper MX Sprint ultralight because it had a service ceiling of about 14,000 feet.
Sanswire borrowed $10K from GTE and purchased the plane. My wife's son and I built most of it. We didn't have sufficient time to complete it. The plane was loaded onto a Penske rental truck (paid for by Sanswire) and driven from California to Atlanta. The plane was purchased through John Lasko who is now vice president of procurement with Sanswire.
Sanswire temporarily rented a hangar at a small local airport where we completed the aircraft assembly. I informed Sanswire that I could not legally fly the airplane in controlled airspace. Sanswire wanted me to fly the bird right over Crawford Communications which was almost in line with departing jets from Atlanta. Because of this, I refused to fly the plane. Sanswire then hired a high altitude helicopter from which they conducted the test.
After GTE had taken over and I was under contract to them, I had been promised the little ultralight as kind of an incentive bonus. They had no need of an ultralight. Needless to say, I never did get the plane.
So, the 2M shares I got was payment that Huff thought I should have received from Sanswire. In other words, Huff made good on the deal and held everything together. I hope this finally answers your question.
14 hrs apart good morning to you Kona!
Yes, good to talk to you and thanks for sharing and best regards to Tim next time you talk to him. Hang in there Tim!
Agree with you watch the volume! I believe we have truly bottomed out. So it can only go one way from here. And you are not the only one talking about the end of the month of June as a water-shed.
To summarize, here is what could happen during the month of July
1. new financials
2. SEC execution of decision to eliminate grandfather clause
3. strat move to Edwards
4. new Hotzone units delivery to NMC
5. Sacramento City announces bid results
6. lawsuit fading into insignificance
7. company and SEC congruent silence
(i.e.no news = good news)
8. move to another exchange
As far as myself: going to Baku in a few hours.
Aloha KONA my week-end is almost over. Enjoy yours!
Rhapsody....The relationship with the military is confirmed. I am posting two references below that with hindsight fit nicely together and demonstrate that SkySat plans have been afoot well before April this year. And SkySat is a project that meets specifications for battlefield, border and maritime security operations. SkySat complements UAVs and tethered aerostats in these kind of operations.
Now this is all R&D in an extremely competitive and aggressive market environment. The good news is that there are company people out there from GTEM and Sanswire having a go at it and getting attention and consideration where it matters.
THE STRAT is dead.... LONG LIVE THE STRAT
BUT no need to go BLACK, just keep a low profile
AND deliver on the STRAT AND SkySat
But managment has the SEC, the pinks, class action, Mexico and Trimax and more! i.e. a lot of instability and your hands full
Many reasons for keeping a low profile but that's it: no black.
As to colors........
I see things in pink at the moment,
and when I hear the phone going green, green,
I pink it up and say yellow, yellow!!!
And hope for the best. LOL!
PS: Longadean almost went bananas on Black a little while ago.

"The projections call for a minimum of 6209 Hotzone Units to be used over the initial three year period to accommodate 250.000 subscribers" Unquote
This translates in one Hotzone unit per 40.26 subscribers. And a monthly average deployment rate of 172 Hotzone units (over the stated 3 years period).
Given the first shipment of 70 units, this would meet the deployment requirements of the first two weeks (barely).

It appears that Axel was erring on the "optimist" side, i.e. 10 times as many users as stated on the JV Mexico web site. But after all we have projections that seem pretty good nonetheless and realistic.
As we got a PR on 26 March for the first 70 Hotzone units produced it is about time we should be getting a follow on PR for the next production batch..... ;)

Montanar, Kostro was the one that rang the bell on AMEX!
I believe he was the first Polish guy that has done that.
He knows everything about Globetel. He is part of Caterham, good connections to India, speaks fluently Russian and naturally Polish, is very bright. But he was not involved with Internafta, maybe in the background but not officially . He has never accepted Dumas, Klein or some of the other guys at the helm or our former advisory board.
These pictures showing Kostro and others during their first visit in Moscow. They had a meeting with a member of the Russian Duma (Mitravanov?).
Kostro would be the natural choice for the dealing and wheeling with Russians but after he stepped back, Tim hasn't allowed that, don't know exactly why."

Now if one considers that at the time of exibit no 1) above, the bashing coming in from Axel Bonn (sorry Klaus Larator) was pretty horrendous.

Dear All,
Either the IHub server has gone bananas or this is the silence before the storm. No posting from nobody for a looonnnnnnnng time now. Never expected anything like this.
I am offering a few exhibits that combined give a sense for impending events of magnitude. Allow to muse and consider that something is brewing.
First)
I really wanted to watch some footage from the successful testing of engines and avionics on Sun Mar 4th, but no way. First Rob on Mar 9th wrote “I haven’t posted anything yet. I was waiting for footage to be edited.” Than complete black-out and no footage and no explanations given.
Second)
Out of the blue on Mar 14th we learn that on Sun Mar 4th the Raytheon Company was there and presented a range of additional security solutions involving synthetic aperture radars (SAR), infrared (IR) cameras, and secure communications. Also security was tighter and one poster was bounced off early morning.

Just my feelings. But Rob has moved on to address as many shareholders as he can, as now he has the time to "catch up", and that is fair.
My sense is, he has tightened his reins on his liberalness outside of this policy, that perhaps, he exercised in the past with personal impressions...no longer tolerated..or appropriate. As it should be.

GTEM'ers
IMO I'm more convinced the Kmen or friends are manipulating the company stock right now! And history says, when GTE insiders PR the PPs down, VC's are buying before funding and once funding & accumulation by the VCs are complete, there will be a big positive news release!
Sixth and Conclusion)
Add up: Behavioral change from key indicator persons with shedding, tightening “lean and mean” and concentration of CEO power. All signs of renewed confidence from management at the top level and selected control of info and circumstances.

I have a prediction....I checked my numbers and it appears...let's see now.....hmmm...it appears that a new deal will be announced...a partnership it appears...ah...not for a Hotzone it seems...but it appears that a partnership may be in the works with an organization which was much discussed around a little over a year ago.
I will let you guess and speculate who that might be. Until that is announced or a completion of the Internal Audit Committee's due dilligence and a restatement of Asset valuations on the prior Quarters' balance sheets is restated and reported, we may not see much movement here.

"An overall update on the state of GTEM is long overdue"
Agree wholeheartedly!
Back in October the 12th, 2006 our newly appointed Chairman, Mr. Przemyslaw L. Kostro stated:
" I will also focus in the next week on securing the necessary funding to underpin our plans to restructure the Company and complete key projects already underway. Given the nature of the situation, we will be communicating with our shareholders over the next several days and weeks as these changes take place."
On October 16th, 2006 Kostro also stated:
"I realize that many of you have questions, however I would like to communicate to you through our actions instead of just our words."
On the first and so far only letter to shareholders issued on 2nd November, 2006 we were told that:
"We realize there are pre-restructuring issues weighing heavily on the minds of our shareholders, and we will continue to address them internally one at a time. Such changes will be communicated to you on an "as implemented" basis".
(Question One: How did we learn of B. Jones departure?
Question Two: How shall we learn of U. Altvarter departure?)
Finally in the same SH letter we are informed that:
"As a new management team and substantially new Board of Directors, we'd like to reaffirm to you our commitment to establishing a better flow of communication to the investment community moving forward."
And YES Kostro also told us that:
"In terms of distinct operational changes, restructuring our financial reporting process and the department responsible for these crucial functions is our top priority. We're installing a new reporting structure together with personnel changes. We believe that restructuring our financial reporting functions will have a beneficial effect on the efficiency of the entire organization through increased company-wide fiscal accountability."
But as far as moving forward in term of "better flow of communication to the investment community" we are in the fifth month of restructuring and in the middle of an almost complete company "financial" blackout.
High time for an update Mr Kostro!!!!
How about Mr. Frank Prautzsch, Director, Network Centric Systems Rapid Initiatives Group, Raytheon
But really we should ask Danielle.....
Danielle, you are not going far enough here..... this is tantalizing, titillating but highly frustrating
Is it about the Strat?
You said it is not a Hotzone related endeavour.
Or is it Magic Money coming back through the window?
At least you could be specific about which GTEM Division is directly involved....
Have another go come on! LOL!
GTEM & VPN 8K-Yessss we have capital!
Exceprts:
"B. VPN has capital to provide for the construction of wireless networks utilizing GlobeTel products and intellectual property, certain licenses necessary for the provision of telecommunications services in Mexico, and knowledge of the Mexican telecommunication's market.

Danielle, I hate to say this but "around a little over a year ago" and depending "how much little over" we had posters debating LM, Skunkworks and plant 42 in Palmdale. We are still in Palmdale with the Antelope Valley Press and....))

Very Interesting/coincidental
****READ ARTICLE AT END****
Don't know if this was posted yet or not but Lockheed Martin gets $150m to develop a near space vehicle by 2010 and is now going to test one at PLANT 42????? How did they move so quickly for testing? Why would LM allow GTE on premises of PLANT 42 if they were moving on the same technology? Yes it is an Air Force facility but LM is a long term producer for the AF. They would have a say I'm sure.
>>GTE has space at PLANT 42
>>GTE announces that testing on Sanswire ship will begin soon and will last 6 weeks
>>LM announces award for $150m to develop ship
>>"Mysterious Flying Craft seen hovering over PLANT 42" and is attributed to LM and identified as "P791"
Scenerio 1...
Article is incorrect and is evidence of GTE performing testing on
a SANSWIRE ship
Scenerio 2...
Article is correct and LM has moved very quickly with their project
Scenerio 3....
GTE and LM being at the same facility have combined forces to deliver a product

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PALMDALE - A mysterious flying craft seen hovering over Air Force Plant 42 Tuesday morning was the latest creation from Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co.'s famed Skunk Works on its maiden flight. The blimp-like aircraft, known simply as P791, is a proof-of-principle vehicle to help engineers learn more about technology and aerodynamics for such airships.
"Lockheed Martin is testing a small-scale airship as part of an internal research and development effort," Lockheed spokeswoman Dianne Knippel said. The large white airship is shaped somewhat differently from a traditional blimp, with twin torpedo-like sections joined in the center and a cockpit beneath. Four airlifters move the vehicle on the ground and in the air.
The company, known for its advanced technology developments conducted in secrecy, is not releasing any additional information about the project at this time.
The airship likely will be seen flying for the next six weeks, generally during the morning hours, Knippel said.

In reply to: BLINK031 who wrote msg# 20320Since a LM spokeperson (Dianne Knippel) has confirmed that the object (airship) hovering above hanger 42 in Palmdale is in fact LM's P791 small-scale airship, does that indicate that LM has beat us to the punch in the HAA development? Seems to me that if this was a joint venture between LM and GTE, or that if this was the Strat 2, that surely GTE would have released a PR this morning attesting to the fact that the Strat2(P791) was in the air. Any thoughts? ken w
For those interested in Sacramento, I got this update today.

Request for information on bidding status for RFP. Ref:Public Wireless Service in Sacramento (P071311001)
"The City is still in a contract negotiation with one of the Proposers.

anticipated. We hope to award a contract soon; however, we don't have a

Well there is still a chance.......
Rock is Sacramento news due day after tomorrow???
Rock,
as usual an incredible post coming out of nowhere.... hummm wisdom and real info mixed together, whom are you talking to I wonder.
I have learnt two things here:
1) "DECT/VoIP: To my knowledge Mexico does not have regulations that would prevent this product to be deployed"
2)"The deployment of DECT in Pachuca was monitored and authorized by CofeTel".
Also Grupo IUSA "has influence". Hummm some posters two days ago were even questioning the reality of Grupo IUSA.
Again whom are you talking to? Must be a muncher, but a trusted one! LOL.
Thanks
