They're tired of us meddling kids and our prying. I doubt we'll find out anything of substance directly from them; we'll know within 12 days, anywho.
I'll save them the trouble.
The answer is "No."
Nice bald assertion. Got any others?
I don't see anyone "blaming" that group for anything.
No one, to my knowledge, has asserted that the sordid state of affairs is a result of retailers buying mostly H's, or failing to release.
Probably when you stop asking about it! Ha ha, I'm not funny.
Heh heh...wish I knew stuff :)
Ilene Slatko, perchance?
"WMI have some interests in some trusts or RMBS"
Thx, that's all I really needed to know. It's easy to not understand just how profound that confirmation is, alone.
And different markers for the different classes, no less, as opposed to lumping them all into one class and giving us a pro-rata amount of that, based on our old holdings.
I don't think that should be ignored, esp. by NOL theory.
We don't directly have any interest in these trusts ("Wamu trusts"). At best, some of that money will be paid to WMILT, based on WMI's direct or indirect "participation" in these trusts, then WMILT would pay it to us, whenever the hell they feel like it. Then again, with the old WMIIC entity being dissolved, who knows where that money is going. Hopefully, directly to WMILT, or possibly to us thru KCC instead. Who knows.
But yeah, the long/short is that the CUSIPS in the DB PR's are those of the trusts, not our escrows, which were set up for us by WMILT, years after these trusts became a thing.
Isn't it "fun" that WG&M is listed in this article? LOLOL
MSM was rather silent when billions were taken FROM shareholders, so yeah.
Any way we can get a link to that filing?
Ok, I'll get to shorting the escrows/tracking markers, right away. As we all know, there's 100% correlation between WMIH's PPS any given year, and prospects of returns to beneficiaries of the original estate.
You were right about how the market would react to lack of news, so you're omniscient. Got it.
"offering up a settlement that 'pretended insolvency'"
It's always gut-wrenching to think of how many billions of dollars of assets they gave away to FDIC/JPIG, in the process of generating and maintaining that image.
To be charitable, of course. Big banks are just so nice.
Anything for Lehman commons?
Yes, today, most of us got cash to pay off the RON's. What was the question, if that doesn't answer it?
As I understand it, the releases we signed prohibit *US* (shareholders) from going after them for misconduct leading to the seizure, and the seizure itself. Other parties are in no way prohibited from going after them, claws and teeth.
Who knows? Maybe some of this litigation instigated by other parties will have proven quite fortuitous for us.
I don't know how many times you have to be told, that the DB case has to wrap up, before the R can begin to. How is that "100% unrelated"?
LG: "Have I told you lately how much more I really love my Escrow Shares and that continues to grow immensely every single day? "
And your wife knows about this, yes?
"...Seattle thrift, where reckless lending practices led to thousands of foreclosures and huge investor losses. WaMu failed in September 2008. "
Shill meter reading is 9/10.
Probably the same way he feels about his other fictions.
Good boy. Keep selling. You sure know how to time this thing.
You made me LOL so hard that I got dizzy. Why? Because I have 10,000 "H shares" worth of LTI's, and I don't give a crap, either. The rest of PIERS will get paid when it gets paid; the big money is in WMIH and quite possibly escrows.
When it snows, it pours.
Monday would be the 26th, not 25th, bro.
You'd think that if PoA were to be extended, it would have been done prior to the weekend of expiry. The final business day has elapsed. Who knows, maybe it was done within the last day or two, and we just haven't seen a filing yet.
I'll try to not be glued to my seat through next Monday, but I'll probably fail.
As Bop indicated years and years ago, things move much faster in BK court...in the 4+ years since, it's been at a snail's pace. Maybe I shouldn't insult snails.
"Have I told you lately how much more I love my Escrow Shares every single day?"
Lately??? You've never mentioned it, period! >:P
So have bloody revolutions. If they want one, they'll keep up this BS.
The stock market is risky, so corruption is A-OK! Steal all you want, it's all good!
Scrivener's error lol
Is there a link available, for said terms of purchase? I'd like to look into that one, unless someone knows, off the top of their head.
"may be book value times 3"
No. The PAA says book value, and JPM would never pay a dime more than they had to.
Draw some lines for us. I'm not seeing how GS buying some of its own debt has anything to do with us. What am I missing?
I've been thinking about that statement from the judge. There had to be a reason for it. That's not something a judge says just because it sounds fancy. Not that I understand that much about the case, but I'm having a hard time thinking of an explanation for it, that doesn't involve JPM buying mortgage assets from R, owned by WMI/WMIIC, and that money going to escrows via LT at some point in the not-too-distant future. Not gonna say how much that might be, but more than scraps.
If someone has another explanation, please posit it; my mind is wide open on this one. Would this somehow simply amount to some nominal amount of money being saved by the LT on admin costs, or what not?
Yes, Boris, I'm finding it harder and harder to believe that there is little to nothing for escrows.
Got a link handy?
" I think we are past due for some good escrow news."
That, we are; it has seemed like an eternity since emergence from BK. That said, I'm not counting on hearing anything substantial in the WMIH SHM. I do have hope that we'll hear something good in the coming weeks or months, tho.
Erm...what are we celebrating?
