This is precisely the type of careless writing/thinking that keeps CW coupled with MJ companies.
Word of advice: if you're expressly or implicitly making an argument that CW is in the marijuana (or "pot" ) space, then you probably should not be invested in cannabis for more than a trade based on our friend Now's technicals.
Judging by CW's 50% internet sales, I don't think its relying on shelf space. Nor do I think CW will compete at liquor stores and many other cancer stick outlets.
And how is D_Y misleading?
Interesting. If you watch an old Ted Talk with Joel Stanley, he mentions the groundbreaking work the Israelis did with cannabis and how it shaped his views. Tikkun Olam is an outstanding company. My guess is when they hit the US, they will be a force. I think they sell products here and there. CW and Tikkun Olam would be an outstanding partnership if it makes sense.
Agree. In addition to more exposure to the industry and education, investors will also get clear indications of the differentiation once there is rule making by the Feds. Yet another reason why rule making is important. I contemplated that CW would benefit most from rule making because it would shake-out weak competitors. But rule making certainly will help to promote cannabis companies that don't draw revenue from marijuana.
Excellent article.

The market should know the difference between CGC and CW, but I don't think the market appreciates the difference and we'll experience a down day or two. This is precisely why you should correct anyone who uses the term "marijuana" sector instead of "cannabis" sector.
Are you using current exchange rates to measure said clonk or the exchange rate on the date of the deal ? Because I think it came out to ~$14.80 US when the secondary closed about a month ago.
EDIT: it wads $14.88 on 5/15/19
Rally seems to be picking up steam. SP is going to knock its head against the secondary offering price in the next day or two. That will be interesting. GL.
HIGHEST INSTITUTIONAL OWNERSHIP IN CANNABIS SECTOR, CHARLOTTE’S WEB (TSX: CWEB)
https://cannabis-investment-group.com/2019/06/19/highest-institutional-ownership-in-cannabis-sector-charlottes-webtsx-cweb/
How so?
Precisely. Gas stations, liquor stores, and supermarkets: I do not think a wellness customer who consistently buys CBD products seeks out these classes of retail outlets to buy a product that competes with anything CW sells.
What product is Cronos going to sell that competes with CW?
I would think Peace Naturals would be the brand platform. But these THC levels for its current line are problematic:

You're conflating things. The sale at C$20 was not a sale of shares by the company. The shelf offering would be a sale of shares by the company, a dilutive event. There would be no "again" if CW utilized the shelf.
Stephen Lermer, the COO, is the one with the regulatory background.
From the CW website:
"natural botanical form"
There you go. Good tweet.
Interesting: the new label for the original formula contains no reference on its front label to cannabinoids. The full strength and the extra strength, however, do.
Previously, the front labels on all three strengths made no reference to cannabinoids.

Wonder why?
Not sure if there was a legal reason for the label change.
The omission of "oil" puts consumer focus more on "hemp". I think the label looks cleaner and not as busy.
New labels for oil:
https://www.charlottesweb.com/all-charlottes-web-hemp-cbd-supplements/cbd-oils
Differences from the prior label:
Old: advertises "Hemp Extract Oil"
New: advertises "Hemp Extract"
Old: serving size (mg/serving) indicated
New: serving size omitted aside from back which suggests 1 dropper
I just hope CW fixed the dropper!
I doubt they feel anything.
Good chart.
Credit when and where due: Thong did all the hard work with that post.
Glad to have you back, D_Y. Hope you are healthy and well.
Its like hearing "bad beat" stories from poker players. Tiresome.
Where did you hear this from? What is your source?
Unless investors were turned off that much by the quarterly growth numbers, factors external to company performance have caused this downturn in the sp. And, yes: the pricing of the private placement deal about 20 days ago didn't help the short term sp, but it hasn't acted as a floor, either.
Agree. It is heading to well over 100mm in revenues this year. Yet, here we are.
It has been a poor couple of months for the sector. The one took a major haircut.
Excellent article.
This board needs lithium.
I wrote that with you in mind.
There is bipartisan support for products derived from hemp. Mitch McConnell & Co. will advance the interests of agriculture and push for rule implementation re: CBD products. It is going to happen. Fear is gripping today's action based on a cautious opening speech from the FDA. Weak hands will fold.
Thank you.
Uncertainty removed. Floor established (charts not withstanding, homie!). Let's move on.
You should take some time off of here. You've lost perspective.
Preach. Clear headed, as always, A77.
