OOPS, MargaritaGrille won't take reservations which irritates me, they did two years ago! BeniiHannas might, but it would be hard to hear anyone talking. I may call the hotel and try to get a small meeting room with a dinner served. I know it will cost a lot more and it would be much harder than ordering off the menue. There's a Greek place very close to the convention center that might work. Come on guys, I need some feed back.
Friday evening at at the bar at 5:30 PM and dinner at 6:00 PM, that's in the North Tower of the HH on the main level. This will give everyone a chance to see a show or gamble after our meeting. Last time we did this, it was a little nosiy. Has anyone got a better idea or place? I haven't phoned in the res. yet. ORY

Looks like MMs are shaking out the weak hands this morning.
Newy, can we expect to be in one of these then:
"WHEN
January 8-11, 2004
WHY
Since data storage is an integral part of an consumer electronic device's design and perceived value, meeting with Cornice is one of the best ways to get the inside track on what will likely be some of 2004's most interesting and sought-after gadgets
Since its launch in June 2003, Cornice's technology has changed the way consumer electronic devices have been designed and manufactured. Examples of Cornice-based devices include:
MP3 Players
Rio Nitrus
RCA LYRA Microjukebox
iRiver iGP-100 "
Question on "screen color, indigo blue." Is this going to be a signature screen color or something? By this I mean, each time we see it on a A / V product can we expect e.Digital inside?
HP commentary: " Johnson: Dell's cookie-cutter approach tops H-P
Dell focuses more on process than innovation, which allows it to slash costs. Could consumer electronics aid Hewlett-Packard?
2:37 PM EST December 17, 2003 by Cory Johnson
Two companies dominate the personal computer business, Dell (DELL, news, msgs) with 17.4% of the market and Hewlett-Packard (HPQ, news, msgs) with 17.1%. Indeed, Dell and H-P are rivals in just about every market in which they operate, and Dell, by almost every measure, is winning.
But H-P is working overtime to catch up with its younger, stronger rival.
To get a taste of how intense this rivalry is, just ask H-P CEO Carly Fiorina how her company can compete with the fast-growing, low-cost Dell. Money 2004.
Smarter, faster and easier
than ever.
"It's not about how are we going to," Fiorina says. "We are. The interesting question is where is Dell's growth going to come from, because it's not desktop PCs."
But while H-P boasts that it invents new technology, Dell spends relatively little on research and development, 1.1% of revenue, while H-P spends 4.6%.
Staying off the cutting edge
Ashok Kumar, who follows the companies for U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray, says avoiding the cutting edge gives Dell a competitive advantage.
"I think that Dell's advantage right from the onset is that it's process driven as opposed to product driven," Kumar says. "And I think that's what I would consider a sustainable advantage for Dell."
Dell applies that cookie-cutter model to every market it enters. What it began with personal computers spread to servers and now into consumer electronics. Ominously for H-P, it's also spread into printers, H-P's key business.
Hewlett-Packard finds itself in virtually every business arena as Dell, but at higher fixed costs. A merger with Compaq has helped, but a breakdown of H-P today reveals the company has changed little in the last five years. It's in many businesses, but most of the profits still come from printing.
The printer factor
Like Dell, H-P sells PCs, servers and offers services. But in terms of profits, printers contribute 65% of H-Ps earnings, with PCs contributing just 1%.
Still, Roger McNamee, a venture capitalist with Silver Lake Partners, says that consumer electronics could become a bright spot for H-P.
"Dell has a massively better business model than Hewlett-Packard, and the consumer category will not fix the issues that Hewlett has relative to its supply chain and relative to its distribution channel," McNamee says. "That said, I think that the consumer opportunity is a lot better than is generally recognized by analysts, Wall Street and its investors."
I'm done. I'll see you guys later--no, more discussion of RS on my part. Lois
Okay, I'm sure there are some practical reasons for not wanting to be on the NASDAQ, but I can't think of any.
Usually the numbers are changed to reflect the split--in theory there is no dilution or any change at all.
Do you thin our company has "real" value in it's prospects? I do. This is value. The market places the "value" on the shares.
A strong company can withstand shorting. We are talking about a "real" company here!
CES 2004 Attendees: Save Friday evening at 6 o'clock for a dinner meeting; place to be announced. Does Larry's Dream still live in LV? Any ideas?
No one has given me a good reason yet!
It seems to me that a Reverse Split is just a tool in a tool bag. It may not work for some small stocks, but there's no reason I can see for it not working in a situation like ours. When LU went down big, it couldn't do it for the reason presented here this morning. But I think we've got "intrinsic value." This is different. Lois
This answer doesn't work. On a level playing field a RS has exactly the same value as it did before the split.
Someone please tell me why a reverse split on a little company "under the radar screen" is such a bad idea?
The most it can go down from here is .50 to .0. Not likely!
How about a 10 to 1 reverse split! That would do it!
How about a 5 to 1 reverse split? That would put us on the fast track to the NAZ!
Good morning from So. Carolina! I don't think we'll have a new high. Our products and news about them are in the future; we continue to execute the business plan, but this quarter will not be profitable. The really big money will be at least 6 mos. out. JoJo was right in reading the "forward-looking statement." Our PPS will probably stay in the .50 range until a big "unveiling," maybe at the CES. We'll know in a few hours. Lois
Is it a typo? I didn't think I heard that, but I got everything else jumbled! LOL
Thanks for the transcript. Lois
Paragraph 7 talks about the notes the writer made of the
"largest Asian MP3 maker;" Audio and video; Cornice storage element; and, flash storage all in one run on sentence. This deal sounded like it is the one that's signed (at least my notes have the word "signed." This sounds like a really big deal, but it was sandwiched between a lot of other important stuff.
I thought it was DigitalWay--someone posted they have the biggest share of the market????
Gateway, Eclipse, APS diggeplayer, and at least two others. One will be the Cornice mention and the other one of our "Convergence" platform products; and over at the HP booth, maybe the Ears To The World unit and or news about new applications of this. And, maybe a model that Gateway will be introducing next summer or Fall. The engineering is probably well under way on the newest Gateway unit. What Asian Company is the biggest manufacture of MP3 players?
LL, I think the $1 1/2 million to $2 million is in the last fiscal quarter--not the first quarter?????
The share registration will be for the amount of shares needed for the Series D, the Series E and the Warrants that went with the Series E. The maximum number of shares will be needed for the registration, but not all these shares will be needed if the share price stays high. This is not new information, but a clarification of old news. This is not very dilutive, and this cash is needed for a growth company like ours. Remember Amazon.com just started making money after years of turning it's cash flow back into growth expenses.
I thought I heard about 3 deals plus "progress" on the core technology licensing. Gate way will use the cornice storage media in a future product.
The number of shares can be easily figured out. Series D, Series E, and the Warrants for the Series E will be number of shares registered. They have to take the worst case numbers, even though they probably won't need all of them.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!
We aren't getting our own music service on line are we?
I'm trying to check out my laptop for the CC, but I'm getting an unknown service (probably Windows Media 3) doesn't resemble the ccbn of the last broadcast. Does this look right to all you guys?
Wright Brothers 100 year anniversary yesterday. Good morning Ediggers. It's cold on the South Carolina coast this morning and a little dreary. Last evening I watched a public television presentation of the Wright Bros. which was super. Looking back at how they achieved powered flight, it was with much hard work and several years of difficult experimenting. This is truly the American way. Our little company has been working on the MOS and our unique interface (convergence) with difficult platforms for 10 years + with a consistent core of professional people. We've had major set backs (DataPlay), we've had lack of "content" (Roxio, iStore and the new Napster weren't in the business of selling music yet), and not all our personnel were headed in the right direction (Jim Collier), but the dedicated core persevered. We travel with big companies who support us like TI to the extent of giving us space in their CES 2004 booth.
So, I just don't want to quit 5 minutes before the miracle, even though I've watched my stock price drop from over $5 to .50. I've been adding shares since summer because it seems like e.Digital's time has come and mine, too. I think most of the longs still hanging around after all these years, want a home run, like I do. If this seems irrational, it may be, but it's been quite a ride!
Fujitsu Ten. Is this new? If you hit the touch panel the player comes out to use?? http://www.eclipse-web.com/
Great News for the Iraqis, the Allies, AND the world's stock markets!
Then, if we knew who the BIG OEM, with the big order for our converged product, would that get us closer to figuring out what the product is in advance of a company directive?
Next logical question is, does anybody suspect or know who makes our GW player?
Clarification needed: I'm thinking that I'm reading that the OEM that makes our Gateway player will be the same one that makes one of the two and/or both of the Asian OEM's referred to in the SHM. Did I make this up or is there grounds for believing this?
WOW!I am really jazzed about our prospects.
