Either way, I posted my vote.
Just a question: why own both??
Funny I just received voting papers. I don't remember owing shares of CGC/MT at the time of the acquisition.
That might be a bit harsh. Although yes, there is some illegal activity going on, for the most part nobody cared about these MMAR home grows, dispensaries etc until the conservatives regulated it and created a vacuum to destroy the little guys. Even a federal court ruled saying these people are allowed to continue to grow their own medicine and so this is why the grey market still exists today. If a federal judge says these people are doing no wrong who am I to argue.
I can't feel good about calling an entrepreneur a criminal for having a compassion club open that was absolutely ignored by law enforcement for the last 20 years.
Only now that the MMPR/ACMPR has been created (by where large corporations will be the sole producers of this plant) are they called "criminals"
I try my hardest to not be a hypocrite. If I seen no wrong doing before this investment opportunity came along then I see no wrong doing now. All I see is the small guy getting rubbed out. Which is just history repeating.
Great post Bergy. I tend to agree. I'm here for the big summit we're about to see retail buyers create. Then I'll dump.
When the bubble bursts and fundamentals take over, I'll reassess and put my money to work in the best possible vehicle.
For now, speculation fuels this fire. The fire of CGC burns bright. Happy to be along for the ride.
Even if it does feel like robbery!
Have faith in Bruce. He's not an idiot. I'm sure he's done his dd.
Even I am not so critical of CGC.
Looking more and more like the lowest cost producers will win this war...
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-01-17/as-pot-prices-plunge-growers-scramble-to-cut-production-costs
Who has the lowest COG's of any Canadian LP? Cant remember.
I think it was you who gave me some great DD on CGC that led me to start trading it. Its made me a lot of money and I know its made you even more since you were in long before me.
Cheers old friend.
Lets have a great day tomorrow.
Time for bed.
You are exactly right.
Glad we can agree Mettrum robbed CGC
Oh well. Mettrum has patients and access to patients. And grow space.
At least we diddnt get totally robbed by haines.
Ya i wish I could be as smart as Haines as to make a decent pot company and then sell it to another company at a massive premium and retain an asinine amount of shares only to sell once they are unlocked.
oh well. CGC will still be fine.
yep, just hope CGC isnt too generous with their donations to "Canned" MT employees.
I hate when pubcos are more interested in self enrichment rather than bringing more value to share holders.
Nothing surprises me anymore
I agree. CGC is primed for greatness. Bruce is gonna take us to the starting line, he'll be removed, a great CEO will be put in and the skies the limit.
Look forward to making coupons returns on my investment.
Cheers
Haines is on record on his post sell out BNN interview as saying he will assist Cgc afterwards.
Haines will continue to cash in
Haines has created and sold numerous small businesses for copious amounts of money.
He's a bright guy and is going to make out like a thief in this deal like he did in every other sell out he had.
A real guru.
mt cleaned canopys clock in this deal. Bruce got worked. No big deal.
Right again. Your post is draped in common sense.
Actually my premise was that MT senior mgmt would be taken care of. Your evidence proves my theory.
Thanks for clarifying that nobody was "canned"
I've been canned before. I certainly didn't continue making a massive salary after.
Oh well. Probably just loose lips
Haines is a bright guy. Brighter than Bruce and I think Bruce would admit to that.
Haines will be treated well.
It's moronic to think MT would sign up to be "canned" by the acquiring company.
Keep up the great work buddy. Love reading logical posts.
Let me know if you find the part where it says they are going to "can" senior management.
Wonder if MT seniors know they are getting their walking papers.
Oh really? It's in the information book that Cgc is going to liquidate MT senior management?
Wonder how MT feels about that?
Absolutely zero fact about senior management getting "canned" after merger.
Purely speculation.
In fact MT CEO is on record as to saying he'll be staying on after word on his BNN interview. Wonder what he'll be doing for CGC to deserve his steady flow of stock options he'll be getting over the foreseeable future
Make no mistake the MT board wouldn't sign up for being "canned" as you so eloquently put it.
MT senior management will be well taken care of. Which obviously will come in the way of CGC shares.
Below is probably not how it went down...
MT- "Hey you guys wanna buy this company?"
CGC- "Ok but we're going to fire you right after"
MT- "Deal!"
Good post. It's good to challenge ones mind on these topics
Can't help but wonder what CGC share price would be right now without the MT acquisition.
The one license covers endless space (within the civic address) pending regulatory approval.
Each increase on grow space is an amendment to the existing license.
This is why acreage is important for LPs
As soon as the footprint of a company's grow space is developed on a new civic address, a new license must be obtained.
Actually I read somewhere beer sales climbed last fiscal year in Colorado.
Can't remember the source but I was quite surprised by it.
I didn't dig through brewery financials. Just took the authors word for it.
Worth looking into if you are going to take a sizeable short position
Was working all day, didn't even look at SL until about 6:30. Nice surprise.
Love seeing over $12k profits in a day for no apparent reason.
Let's hope this continues
I'm not sure if that is the case. I assume they had a pest control problem and needed to react to save their crop.
That's just my opinion. Can't verify
I don't expect bacon grease in my vegetarian platter. So patients are right to be angry. I had to walk away from my investment until this gets sorted out.
My thinks the board might shake up the mgmt team a bit in order to save face.
Arsenault might be on his way out imo.
I sold both of the LPs who were involved with the scandal. Its unsettling to say the least.
My feeling is this isn't the last we hear about it.
I watched this last night. Quebec as a province has its work cut out to take this out of HA's hands. They won't let it get away easily.
Quebec might be a province to stay away from. Ontario HA is more into guns and blow. Might be safer to set up shop there.
I live on the border of Ontario/Quebec so I'll play it by ear and then seek out any opportunities.
I also watched the edibles medicine vice episode. Frankly that episode reaffirmed that there is going to be a million tiny little hands eating away at LP profits whether illicit or not.
Interesting times to say the least.
What's more intriguing is the different levels of distribution licenses. Ima get me one-a doze
Just doesn't make a lot of sense that as recreational Cannabis unfolds, laws become more strict.
That's what I can't wrap my head around.
But yes, LPs will be the main source from a legal stand point.
Whether people discriminately use them is what I can't commit to believing. Yet.
You said,
"I am hoping that april 20th, 2018 legal cannabis for all adults in Canada - mail order direct from LP's..."
I'm not going to pretend to understand the legislation process in which laws are changed but can't we expect a lengthy timeline in order to allow the law to use Cannabis to pass?
I'd assume that the legal process would take X amount of time and once passed, they'd soon after open mail order first.
I'm expecting legislation to be introduced, the legislative process to be (around) 6 months and then a date stamped for phase 1 of recreational distribution. Phase 1 being mail order only. (Around) Jan 1 2018.
Could be dangerous to open the flood gates just a little bit though. Could be an anarchy of Cannabis and raids and/or arrests would be even more silly.
I believe this latest target was from a US investment bank?
Can you confirm that?
If so it would be a nice to get some more US blood in on this.
Question:
If legislation is introduced in April, how long before preliminary laws are introduced where LPs can distribute through e-Commerce.
Can we assume Liberals will ease into legalities like an old man does to a warm bath?
Or 2+ years to implement full meal deal of Rec?
What's your thoughts.
Interesting. Makes a case for brick and mortar
Noobie alert!
I'm an average investor and I've been killing it!
AMMJ just pays me like it owes me money
The OTC has nothing to do with the stock market?
Woah.
WRONG!
The OTC epitomizes a stock market. AMMJ is a kick azz stock on this OTC market.
Maybe I'm not understanding you? There are stocks. They trade freely on a market. Thus, we are in the OTC markets
What more could one expect from a stock market?
