We were unable to sell our salon, because the landlord is going to add a second story to the building! The entrance to the second story is where our salon was!! So we got him to break our lease and we moved out. The salon had been there for 21 years it looks funny not having a salon there anymore.
Going to open a new barber,salon,manicures,pedicures shop after we move.
I have alot of time right now just packing a few boxes here and there and it has been so cold i have been doing some cooking and baking too. Rick has been enjoying that hahaha

BREADS:
Assorted Crackers, Potato Chips, Tortilla Chips, Sweet Potato Chips, Fried
Rolled Tortillas, Sourdough Bread, Bagel Bites, Matzo Balls, Melba Toast,
Garlic Toast, Crisp Pita Bread Triangles, Rye Toast, Breadsticks, Polenta
Triangles, Pretzels, Won Ton Crisps
VEGGIES:
Celery Sticks, Carrot Sticks, Jicama Wedges or Triangles, Broccoli Buds,
Cauliflowerettes, Cherry Tomatoes, Red and Yellow Pepper Strips,
Cucumber Slices, Mushrooms, Radishes, Belgian Endive, Asparagus Spears,
Artichoke Hearts, Zucchini Sticks or Slices, Blanched Green Beans,
Blanched Snow Peas or Other Edible-Pod Peas, Cooked Artichoke Leaves,
Turnip Slices, French Fries, Fried Onion Rings
CHEESE:
Mozzarella, Monterey Jack, and Cheddar Cheese Sticks (or any firm cheese)
FRUIT:
Sliced Pears, Apple Wedges, Whole or Halved Strawberries, Pineapple
Chunks, Apricot Halves, Dried Apricots, Orange Wedges, Kiwi Slices,
Sliced Peaches, Melon Balls, Grapes, Mandarin Orange Segments,
Banana Rounds

Pumpkin Dip
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (1-pound) can pumpkin puree or 2 cups fresh
1 cup brown sugar or confectioner’s sugar (or more to taste)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 tablespoon orange or lemon zest
Cream the cream cheese and pumpkin together in a large bowl. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Taste and adjust the sugar, if necessary. Chill. Serve in (what else?) a small hollowed-out pumpkin, if desired.
Serve with your choices of:
Apple wedges, banana rounds, cherries, or other fruit
Sugar cookies, vanilla wafers, ginger snaps
Crackers, toast points
Or serve as a spread on:
Crackers, toast points, mini-bagels, gingerbread, graham crackers or pound cake.
Spread on crustless white or brown bread and cut into quarters, tea sandwich style, or into cookie cutter shapes.
You can even low fat cream cheese if you would like, you can do a lot of things with it.
This one is from northern Italy!!
Bagna Cauda
3 2-ounce cans anchovy fillets
6 cloves garlic
1 1/2 cups butter
3/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
3 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons pepper
Mince or press the garlic. Finely chop the anchovy fillets, reserving the oil. Heat the butter, olive oil and lemon juice in a medium saucepan. Add the anchovy fillets and reserved oil, garlic and pepper. Warm through. Transfer the sauce to a fondue pot or chafing dish, or, if you prefer, you can serve the Bagna Cauda recipe in a warm serving bowl, and reheat as needed.
Serve warm (but don't burn the butter) with vegetable dippers such as cauliflower, edible-pod peas and carrots, and with crusty bread, which is great for catching the drips. Makes about 3 cups.

Baba Ghanouj
3 large eggplant
3/4 cup tahini (sesame seed paste*)
1/2 cup lemon juice
2 teaspoons minced or pressed garlic
1 teaspoon cumin
Pinch of cayenne
1 teaspoon salt
Garnish with one of the following, if desired:
6 or 8 chopped black olives
Thin layer of olive oil
Chopped parsley
The eggplant can be prepared one of 2 ways:
1. Broil or barbecue the eggplants, turning often, until the skin is blackened and blistered, about 20 minutes. Let them cool for about 10 minutes and then peel the skin from the eggplant.
Or 2. Bake the eggplants in a 350° oven for about 45 minutes. Cool for about 10 minutes, then cut the eggplant lengthwise and scoop out the meat.
Puree the eggplant and all other ingredients in a blender or food processor. Transfer to a serving dish and garnish, if desired. Serve with pita bread wedges, radishes and green onions. Makes about 3 cups.
take a package of cream cheese lay in a microwave dish, pour a can of Chile over it with some cheese of your liking and what ever else you want and microwave till warm. Serve with bread,cracker chips what ever you like mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!

Ingredients:
1/2 cup marshmallow creme
1/4 cup Jif Creamy Peanut Butter
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 teaspoons water
Directions:
Combine in small bowl.
Stir with whisk or fork until well blended. Cover.
Refrigerate 30 minutes before serving.
