As a stockholder I was in the court room when they set the Blackman hearing. I heard all of the attorneys. Most spoke up representing their clients however there were two lead attorneys one for Walgreens and one for MMR.
As I noted before the MMR attorney is very quick very sharp and knowledgeable. It's good he's on our side.
Croptop. Think you reversed the entires. MMR not paying $165B to buy Walgreens, BUT Walgreens buying out MMR for the $165B and it's valuable patents. Hope this straightens it out. Patents are worth a ton.
BOTTOM LINE! WAG SETTLED WITH MMR. WAG WOULD NEVER SETTLE IF THEY BELIEVED THE PATENTS WERE INVALID... CONTRARY WAG KNOWS PATENTS ARE REAL. NOW THE OTHER 4 DEFENDANTS ARE FIGHTING AN UPHILL BATTLE TO PROVE PATENTS ARE INVALID. THEY HAVE NO OTHER OPTION BUT TO SETTLE WITH MMR. A STROKE OF GENIUS BY BL. THIS IS NOT A HOLLYWOOD PRODUCTION. THE NEXT SEVERAL MONTHS THE PPS WILL SKYROCKET. MMR SETTLED WITH THE LARGEST DRUGSTORE WORTH BILLIONS. NO SMALL FEAT.
You're right on. Obviously something very good is going on with MMR. Wag and MMR keeping things under wraps. Don't want to give other 4 defendants any "heads up" on specifics. It's a huge advantage to keep the other 4 wondering...all they know is Wag settled with MMR period.
Boca, agree. Hearing same
Markgovols & hindsight....agree, anything under .20 cents a buy tomorrow is a buy. Suspect .35 will be market by 1100 am. So many lost faith in MMR they dumped at .035 cents. RL had a plan for MMR which no one could imagine.
Agree with you. Once the other 4 defendants settle never see .50 to .75 cents again. Sky is the limit.
Tulaz1, agree with you. Makes sense. On top of patents, MMR Pro has a good system. Once it comes to the attention of others, MMR will be recognized as a good tool for companies and individuals. Stock price will go much higher than 5 cents.
In response to frank's post. MMR does have a product to offer. I've seen it demonstrated and used it. It's good. I dare say others have no concept of the capability of their products and services. MMR is a real company. Time will surely prove this. I believe Walgreens recognized this.
NOTICE OF FORMAL AGREED SETTLEMENT BETWEEN MMR AND WALGREENS HAS BEEN FILED WITH THE COURTS THIS AFTERNOON. it is now agreed that both parties have come to a formal agreement. MMR is to notify the courts of a dismissal within 28 days. Sounds good
On pacer.gov the courts issued a defencence in 24th recording. Courts recorded the defencence today. The courts notified Walgreens of possible decisions it will take regarding document recorded yesterday. I'm not lawyer by any means. Take a look at the actual document if you can.
No info on Pacer.gov yet.... As of 745 pm tonite.
How do you know Major stockholders are selling? That would be very informative to know. Please tell all of us how you came to this conclusion. Over 1.2 million shares traded at this time. MMR making its move.
Correction on last post. Seems some believe that Whole Foods and MMR are NOT working together. Contrary they ARE WORKING TOGETHER. last post was confusing, sorry my mistake.
There's absolutely no truth regarding Whole Foods and MMR having a working relationship. The relationship is VG. According to program Whole Foods will be demonstrating wth MMR. Your info is not accurate.
Did somebody say trading was going to be stopped sometime Monday? If so, where did this come from thanks
Walgreens requested two day extension to February 22 to answer complaint and complete the settlement agreement. This is according to pacer.gov.
Frank,
I think you're right regarding the ruling with Allscripts. Looks in favor of MMR for the time being.
So Frank,
What does this mean? Is it in MMR's best interest
SUGGESTION: for those of you who have not looked at the Mmr system I suggest you do so. It's a good system especially when you need to get any medical record from doctor to doctor and/or from hospital to and from your own provider... or transferring medical records Dr. to Dr. or in an emergency. You can do this from anywhere you have access to the Internet. In my case I had to "move" my medical file of 605 pages from my provider to a medical facility in Ohio. These were medical files going back to 2005. Within a few minutes the Drs in Ohio had my files for them to review. Before criticizing the system take some time to review the MMR system. You just might be surprised.
Recently My wife and I attended a seminar dealing with patents and infringements. The panel included a well known IP attorney, insurance risk management company and an expert in business and economics dealing with patents and infringements. After spending a couple hours lets just say we came away feeling MMR is in a good to very good position. Attempting to invalidate an US issued patent is difficult, at best. Some here want to claim the number of customers is an important factor in this case....Wrong !
My mistake. There are 5 deadlines for plaintiff and defendants to submit papers to the court between now and May 2014.
Frank,
No. I've only followed MMR the last 1 1/2 years. Trying to get caught up. That's why the wife and I attended annual meeting and Mondays hearing. Trying to be objective I'm convinced MMR got the best of it on Monday. As you may know Walgreens, according to the news, has some issues with regards to medical records and probably can use some or all of MMR's tech.
With regards to Walgreens I could see them cutting an exclusive deal with MMR and step ahead of Walgreens competitors. This would be a win win for both. Remember Walgreens is a 50 Billion dollar corp vs. the other defendants which amount to less than 3-4 Billion collectively.
Frank, thanks for your thoughts. I wished other stockholders would have attended and observed firsthand the proceedings. You might have a different take seeing the attorneys in action especially those via telephonically. Allscripts wasn't in line with the others and tried to get out but the Judge jet them in and they must now answer the complaint.
My thoughts are MMR came out pretty good. Allscripts complained they didn't have enough time to answer (which they still haven't as of this date). They wanted out. Judge kept them in and they still must answer suit and must keep time table per new schedule with the other defendants. Otherwise, Allscripts might have been out. This way Allscripts is still in contrary to what their attorneys desired. Plus for MMR.
The time table per Judge is about 4-5 weeks longer than MMR proposed. That's okay. If it went the other way, this whole scheduling thing for all 5 would have gone well into 2015.
Discovery - a real plus for MMR. I believe MMR has already given some or all defendants information and do not need to do anymore. This shortens time frame and keeps legal fees down a sizeable amount. Favors MMR.
Observing all the parties in courtroom last Monday and listening to the Judge, my wife and I felt good when we left the courtroom. I wish some of you had seen firsthand the proceedings. I believe you would feel as we did....that MMR came out real good. Looks like MMR got just about everything they wanted except a time frame of about 4 weeks longer....which possibly could have affected Allscripts staying in the case. We're quite pleased with the courts decisions. Questions please asks. Thanks, Fasteddie.
Frank, your thoughts on scheduling.
I disagree with your analysis. Judge Wright will make sure the schedule he approves will be adhered to without exception. That's why he wanted all 5 suits rolled into one. He wants this to move ASAP. Don't think he's going to allow more time to anyone. Keep with the schedule period.
No. My understanding it should be April to possibly late May. The Judge will notify everyone his decision on the scheduling very soon. I believe the Judge will let everyone know before Friday this week.
Absolutely. The tone and body language in the courtroom seem to be in MMR's favor. Personal opinion. It would have been good if others were in the courtroom to observe.
I think 5 to 1 is good for MMR. Walgreens vs. MMR involves two separate issues and time frames. It was not meant to be a negative but rather a positive. Having 5 suits AND being able to submit briefs on the merits of validity of the patents is good. I like where MMR is right now.
Answer is no
My wife and were in the courtroom to observe all of the proceedings. We stood outside the courtroom before the hearing and listened to some of the attorneys. As I said yesterday there were 8 attorneys + 3-4 more attorneys telephonically. I believe the judge will lean towards the proposed scheduling made by MMR. The Judge seemed to have a very good handle what was before the court. Judge is knowledgeable and listened intently to both sides. Several times there was reference made regarding Walgreens TWO different suts (old and new), plus the others with Allscripts, Quest and Web MD. The Judge made it perfectly clear when briefings are submitted to the court....they need to be concise and to the point. The lead attorney, William Delgado from Walgreens, seemed to speak for the rest of the defendants on most matters with a few exceptions. Ted Ward, MMR attorney, had a good handle on everything and is very good for MMR. After the proceedings several attorneys conferred outside the courtroom. It seemed to us they were discussing options open to them, either individually or collectively. MMR made it a point to the court it was 5 to 1 and their proposed schedule was their preference. Reason my wife and I went was to observe and see firsthand the parties involved. Seeing their body language tells you a lot about the individual and their reactions to the proceedings. After the court proceedings outside in the hall BL and sme attorneys were in discussion. We're glad we went. Depending on the exact scheduling it looks like everything, including the briefs, will conclude within the next four to five months or sooner. The Judge seems to be pushing this as quickly as possible which is in MMR's best interests. It feels to us there are some settlement discussions going on but we have no firsthand knowledge.
If anyone has any questions or comments please let me know. We're not going anywhere and staying 100% with MMR.
Attendied hearing today in LA. 11-12 defendant attorney's at hearing. Still not home on freeways. I'll report later the details what took place. Good for MMR, my opinion. Judge Wright is pushing this along fast.
Walgreens et al filed proposed scheduling for Markman hearing 1/10/14. Looks like defendants are now taking MMR serious. Hearing scheduled this afternoon in LA
I'll be attending court hearing in LA on Monday
CDEL whoever that is I don't know
It's real clear what's going to happen 1/13/14. Stay tuned. Stockholders will be very pleased and happy. WAG has so many problems with their data between customers and WAG. MMR will be a blessing to them.
"Order coordinating related cases for CLAIM CONSTRUCTION"
Judge Otis Wright has put an order in to consolidate all the lawsuits with My Medical Records versus Walgreen, Quest, Jardogs, and WebMD. The judge ordered this on Monday, December 9 for a Markman Hearing set for January 13, 2014. All four defendants are ordered to be in court in January. The Judge Will make a determination regarding MMR patents.
ATTENTION ALL! MMR MOVING FORWARD TO FINAL SETTLEMENT AND RESOLUTION AND WITH ALL DEFENDANTS !!
MMR FILES WITH THE COURT A "NOTICE OF CLAIM CONSTRUCTION HEARING" with the Central Court in California on Dec 6,2013. This is very important for MMR. This hearing will clarify MMR patent rights. This type of hearing is used to spur negotiations for a settlement. If Judge rules basis for patent in MMR favor.... It indicates the feeling of the court to rule in favor of plaintiff on the case before it.....which would be GREAT FOR MMR.
This would go a LONG WAY FOR MMR TO PREVAIL IN ALL OTHER SUITS IT CURRENTLY IS INVOLVED WITH.
THIS HEARING IS SET TO TAKE PLACE JAN 13,2014.
REGARDING POST 65834......
I watched Congress debating this same thing for a couple of hrs. Bottom line is I believe they felt no drastic changes would be made. Evidently there are many who try to get patents that has no basis at all on whatever subject matter they are trying to obtain patents, not companies like MMR. Some throw patents against a wall hoping they will stick, but I believe those days are gone.
FYI.... No filings with the courts on pacer.gov at of today. MMR. Vs. Walgreens
