Nice post. Thank you.
Just wanted wish everyone good luck tomorrow. Although we won't know the results fully for some days yet, tomorrow has the potential to alter many lives for the better or to do nothing at all. Either way, I've learned a lot from this experience, made some friends, and maybe even some money. I enjoyed reading (most) of your posts, even the well reasoned contrarian ones.
Here's to hoping some of you are millionaires after the auction and the rest of us are a little better off.
Haha I missed that. Thanks man. Think I'm a little strung out at this point.
Thought so. Just wasn't sure what you were referencing with "look at the last line." The sale on Dec. 11? Sorry I feel like I'm microdissecting everything at this point lol.
The $131 million offer? Isn't that old news though? I mean, if that was really their sealed offer before court a few weeks ago things are unlikely to work out for us.
More than happy to close at 16 today. Consolidate tomorrow and then rip up on Thursday.
Nice post. Thanks.
Took advantage of the dips and loaded up.
It comes down to what you believe about this company. Do you believe the CEO really has what it takes to get us to the NASDAQ? If so, load up because over the next decade you'll be a millionaire.
Or do you believe it's another pump and dump? If so, load up cuz the pump is coming.
Either way, load up!
Well your point about dilution is well taken, and with the TA ungagged, shouldn't be hard to verify.
But why is this necessarily a bad thing. The CEO has outlined some short and long term goals, is recruiting appropriate management, and as such, needs funds. The company isn't profitable at this point so how else is he going to raise the cash?
Yes, it's unfortunate that the prices tumbled, and it's scary in pennyland when that happens. I guess it's a matter if you believe in the company. A hard belief to hold in a subpenny, I admit.
Well said. Go EXPU!
The American Dodgeball Association, of America! Thank you MM's for helping in my retirement planning!
Like what???
Hope you're right but what makes you think so?
As far as the majority of posts go on this board, this is one of the best - well reasoned and based on experience. Landing a major player with knowledge and experience in this field clearly demonstrates moves to achieve the CEO's lofty goal (ie, joining the NASDAQ).
I re-read the PR. It only says EXPU is in talks with Mr. Robinson, not that he's already on the team. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here, but it's still in process. The moment they announced he's signed, I will vastly increase my holdings. But I don't think we're quite there yet.
LOL thanks. Had me confused there.
Agreed. So why would people sell on this? Heck looks like we're a step closer to a fair shake.
Sell? This seems like good news. Maybe I'm interpreting it wrong.
Def not Buffet. Buffet is clear he can't predict the market only react to it.
To you too buddy. GLTA actually.
Hey Champ, wanted to tell you I've been thinking about your advice all day and bought back in here at .004. Looking forward to grabbing a nice profit in a few days. Thanks bro.
Thanks! Maybe I'll buy back in tomorrow if there's a dip.
Champ are you still in this thing? I'm out at a loss but recouped some of it today. Wondering if I should jump back in. Value your opinion.
Oh you know the answer to that one. The shareholders are the last in the bk waterfall. The shares could be worthless and we could lose everything we've invested. That's the gamble.
Oh don't get me wrong. I'm not doubting you. Just excited that things are finally coming together. Seems like our stock twits days were ages ago and we were hoping and building since then.
Well, I don't know how this will turn out. I'm more skeptical than most here but I disagree with your statement. The dreamers, especially those who continue to dream after some dreams fail, are the foundation of greatness.
Dude you're giving me palpitations with those numbers.
Sadly, this was my read into it as well. Seems like all transactions were dated before Sept 30. Great, living on hopium.
I'm new to this but the transactions are all dated before 9/30/12, and they were all preferred not common stock. I'm sure buying any stock is a sign of good things to come, but if it was in september those good things may have come and gone already. Hope I'm wrong here.
Well great. I hope you're all correct. Looking forward to some good news and decent run.
Well fair enough I suppose. And perhaps it's encouraging that we got news after that email - I'm new to the board so I didn't realize the affirmation of the water testing was the news he was referring to.
Thanks to all of you for pointing that out, it is reassuring. I still have reservations about the emails but perhaps a bit less now.
I don't want to throw water on the fire here, but I am having a hard time believing these emails from the CEO. I mean, what busy CEO actually has time to respond to individual investors, particularly whilst in the middle of M&A activities?
Also, the emails are replete with grammatical mistakes and out and out misspellings - "sum" instead of "some" for example - there are several more. There also appear to be randomly capitalized words in the middle of sentences. All these things are appropriate, perhaps, for casual emails but not for business emails.
Finally, one of the stickies has an email dated 10/26 stating we'd hear news in 2 weeks. Well, we have far exceeded that date, haven't we?
It just feels wrong to me and it seems we're basing a lot on these emails. For the record, I'm long at a basis 0.025 so I'm not bashing by any means, just a bit apprehensive.
Hey Ghost,
Just wanted to say that although I don't necessarily agree with your assessment of this company, I appreciate your enthusiasm and optimism. Regardless of what happens with ELAY, I'm sure that attitude will serve you well. GLTY.
This is good advice. Also, don't hold losers too long (I did), don't try to catch a falling knife (I did) and don't ignore stops (I did). No surprise I'm down on this one.
Well I hope you are right. Seems like it'll take a lot of buying to get it to run up again, and I'm still unclear what would drive that. Either way, I'm so buried here I'm holding on for dear life.
Btw, as a public service announcement - If you want to make money in the market, carefully note what I do, and do the exact opposite. Guaranteed success.
Thanks for your reply. That certainly makes sense, but are we anticipating any news? It seems odd to me that on one hand we are ignoring shoddy fundamentals and on the other anticipating a breakout based on Q4 activity.
By no means am I questioning anyone or trying to be inflammatory. I have much more experience in non-OTC stocks so this is an (expensive) education for me. Thx.
News about what? Sure could use some good news lol
I'm long here so I certainly hope you are correct about it bouncing back up. But what makes you think this is something other than a pump and dump stock and we're on the dump side? I mean, sure the company concept is cool and the fundamentals probably don't mean much for a penny stock. But how often does it happen that a penny stock skyrockets, crashes back down, and then goes back up? Especially if the MMs aren't actually accumulating but rather covering up the shorts and driving the price back down to cover up more. What's the impetus to buy back in and drive up the stock?
I'm only asking you because you seemed less positive yesterday before the retracement. Thanks.
Lol I understand. I'm not looking to flame anybody just had a specific question.
Fair enough. You did not say you we're buying back, just watching for support levels. I must have misread that. Thanks for your reply.
I'm curious - not trying to be inflammatory - but you mentioned you'd be waiting for a bottom at 0.003 or so. Why? You pointed out the fundamentals are awful and you are suspecting heavy dilution. Why bother buying back in? Wouldn't it be better to walk away? I am long @ .008 for full disclosure but I'm optimistic and nervous in equal parts.
