A codec of this complexity takes about 2,000 man hours of work to port to a chipset / gpu combination as we are working on. Nothing to change as the HEVC codec will be completed on schedule.
lets stop with the twisting of words and misrepresentation of technology.
The NP-1 is delivering 4K today over internet speeds as low as 6 mbit/s at 2160p30 using H.264.
The NP-1 will be upgraded to deliver 4K HEVC.
nVidia does not currently have support in h/w for HEVC
NanoTech has licensed an HEVC code library that runs on Cortex processors and can decode 1080p on the Tegra 4 now. That code is being updated to run in GPU and will be released to deliver 4K HEVC at 2160p on the NP-1. nVidia may at some point offer HEVC for the Tegra 4, but there is no timeframe for it.
This is my last post with regards to HEVC and NP-1 as I have addressed this question many times with the same answer.
My one and only post allowed.
YES, both NP-1 and NP-H1 will support HEVC. We already have HEVC running in software (Cortex A15 CPU only) and will soon have it running in CPU/GPU mode.
The Tegra 4 does not have HEVC in hardware because it was not ratified before the chip went into production. That does not mean it can't run, it just isn't part of the core processor. The Tegra is very powerful, with a Quad Core A15 and 72 GPU's fully capable of decoding HEVC at 2160p30.
No one can deploy on HEVC at this time because they still haven't solidified the licensing issues, however expect to see HEVC in the first half of 2014 on the Nuvola product line along with many other devices as it rolls out.
We are also working on VP9 implementation. VP9 is currently working in CPU only and will soon work in CPU/GPU.
Anyone posting information contrary is just making it up and has no technical background about video compression and codecs.
As I have posted before, the certification was done by our contract manufacturer, and the certifications are in their name with their factory. Products can be certified at any point in the manufacturing / sales / distribution chain, we chose to have it done at the manufacturing point.
Another Epic Fail of Misinformation
1) that stick is DVB, not ATSC, won't work in North America
2) that stick requires a Windows PC, won't work with Android
I've never promoted NTEK securities.
look for a link to the quarterly revenues posted by Feb 15th.
CE is not UL, and as previously stated the NP-H1 has FCC and CE certification. Misinformation debunked yet again.
Nope, 12VDC. Now admit your mistake and we'll put this argument to rest.
That is because that device has A/C power input directly in the box.
Any set top box that uses DC power input does not need UL.
More Misinformation debunked. NTEK booth at CES in south hall is #21912
UL does not apply to DC powered devices, only AC. If the power supply is external, then you need the power supply to be UL tested, but not the device itself.
FCC and CE regulations apply to both the device and the PSU.
All of our devices are powered by external PSU's.
The NP-H1 is certified for UL and FCC and CE.
15 years operating a profitable technology based company more than qualifies him to be the NTEK CEO.
I am merely a employee and am not in a management position at NTEK, so even if I left the job tomorrow the company would move on as it is now without any change.
Let's put a stop to the bitcoin speculation please. That machinery has nothing to do with NTEK.
Yes, great stuff.
"A Share Selling Scheme Using Real Products......"
Hmm, that sounds a lot like what every public company hat sells products does. They sell shares, raise money, and then build products.
I believe that is what Apple, HP, Intel, Western Digital, Analog Devices, Qaulcomm, IBM etc etc.
If NanoTech was merely attempting to sell shares, it wouldn't bother retiring shares and reducing the outstanding and authorized shares, it would just continue to issue more and more paper. That's not the case here.
As for key people, founders, employees, and others getting shares, that too is the normal course of business. Ask Facebook how many shares Zuckerberg has, you'll find it's a lot.
Face the facts and not the rhetoric, a real company with real products, real global distribution, real offices, real employees and a real business plan being executed in front of your eyes.
NanoTech will have plenty of content that Netflix doesn't and won't have. Netflix content will be available on the Nuvola NP-1 and will look better than it does playing through other devices. Netflix customers will prefer their experience on the NP-1.

already supplied the NP-H1 info, the NP-1 has not been released yet.
Another attempt of publishing misinformation. Either you are fudging your findings or using a tool that looks up products in stores.
As we all know, NP-1 has not been released to the public yet, but I can assure you the UPC is correct and valid, and it was created months ago.
Attached is the authoritative source for UPC codes, the GS1 site
UL, CE, FCC testing. Sometimes ETL is used instead of UL. Either are acceptable.
read my message, it was listed there 811190020002
The UPC Codes are:

Get the facts those were sent to manufacturing.
You know you have won when the best (worst) anyone can do is call you names :)
Actually .10 is the next support level
Xbox one took 9 months to ship. NP-1 is only 5 months since inception. All preorders will be delivered long before 9 months
Publishing rights to many if. The works were part of the putchase
Stay tuned for information on over 300 places you'll be able to get them from very soon
No that is only a small portion of what was purchased and is none of the valuable items. The master video recordings, audio recordings and rights associated with them are the profit centers. The museum stuff will be more of a long term play. The personal effects are not even contemplated for value
I don't know what you are insinuating, but I did not send out the message that you quote.
I don't know, I work for a company that is profitable and has had positive books for 2 quarters in a row.
I do, I've seen demos on every consumer TV and for some of the biggest retail outlets
I've never said any such thing. NanoTech is the first, but won't be the only 4K player. It will be the dominate player in the space for quite some time. However, the UltraFlix channel and content will be made available on the NP-1, but also on the Smart TV platforms, and other 4K devices as they come online.
Sammy Davis library was an absolutely spectacular acquisition from a business perspective. Prior to making the acquisition, the rights to a few of the items were per-negotiated. NanoTech paid a small amount of cash for the acquisition and has already licensed the rights to a small portion of the library for twice what it cost for the entire collection. Turning a 200% return on investment in 30 days is a great business move. It appears that by the time the library has been separated out and the various components licensed and distributed NanoTech will receive a 1000% return on that investment.
NanoTech has made any such assertions. NanoTech will sell more units in North America than any other region. However, to ignore the global market is crazy, and NanoTech is strategically aligning itself with distribution partners in major markets.
