Statistics can be misleading, but they are facts.
Please show me a publicly traded stock that increased 10 fold in a year. Please share your facts.
For those hoping this stock will be a 10 bagger this year. Keep dreaming and spend your money on lottery tickets instead. This stock will not hit $1.00 this year, let alone $2. Publicly traded stocks do not go up 10 fold in one year; it just doesn't happen.
Invest for the long haul and be realistic. If we hit $0.40 this year an hold it; That would be phenomenal. These predictions of the stock hitting $2.00 and more are not positive posts. The are ridiculous. Read the article below to see if LQMT fits the 10 bagger mold.
10 bagger
Engines are always made in separate plants and go through a separate design cycle. Having an electric motor instead of a ICE will not reduce the time to build an assembly plant.
It sure seems like Apple is looking into the vehicle market and an electric car makes sense for them, but you won't see an iCar until 2020. There are to many dots between now and 2020 to move this stock.
Apple Car
Watts, Thanks again for the Hauck article. I should read this journal on a regular basis.
Paul's article was good and cleared up some things for me. I see he was very careful not to step on the MIM industries toes. Since, it was a MIM journal he didn't have much choice. Still it is a good idea not to threaten this industry we don't need MIM targeting us as a competitor.
Although, I enjoyed the LM article I found the article on Apples Thunder Bolt connector even more interesting. There will be a big shake up in the connector market this year and I feel like Apple could use LiquidMetal in these new connecters. Either by converting current MIM part in Thunder bolt to LM or new connector parts.
Some background on the new connectors. USB will be rolling out a new USB 3.0 Type C connector this year. This new connector has some major changes. 1. the connector can be inserted either way, so no more up or down side of old connectors. 2. This is the big one. The Type C with PD (Power Delivery) will provide all your data plus power over one cable. This will mean no more charging bricks for tablets and laptops or even monitors. You will have 1 USB cable that provides this in the future. Apple has been at the table with USB during the design of this new connector and I think the Thunderbolt connector will be changing for Apple in the next couple years.
USB Type C
I see these new connectors as a possible entry for LM. Connectors have massive production volumes since every product needs one. Apple was making 5 million Thunderbolts a day during its peak. So, assuming a 16 cav mold and $250,000/ Engel machine you would need 770 machines, which give Engel a $200 million bump in revenue. Engel's annual sales is around 1.25 bil. This would be a noticeable blip.
My point is look for a blip in sales of Engel machines to signal an Apple launch. I know Apple is not required to use Engel, but I believe there are only a few injection mold companies that can make a machine like this. So, my bet is first Apple product with LM will be a connector part.
Thanks, This looks very informative.
DEFINITION OF 'PUMP AND DUMP'
A scheme that attempts to boost the price of a stock through recommendations based on false, misleading or greatly exaggerated statements. The perpetrators of this scheme, who already have an established position in the company's stock, sell their positions after the hype has led to a higher share price. This practice is illegal based on securities law and can lead to heavy fines.

"You will not see $.12 again this headed to multiple dollars"
"Apple will buy LQMT for $2 billion"
"Anything can happen, The sheet patent could be perfected and this would hit $2.00."
I think PDP is %100 on. When crazy predictions like this are made you are a pumper or your short a full deck.
I make lots of money when this stock goes up, but I know it will not be over a $1.00 this year without a reverse split. Anyone claiming it will is delusional.
How do you figure they can acquire clients at a low cost. They are competing with Microsoft, Amazon, and Google to name a few. These companies have massive advertising budgets. Box will need to spend on marketing accordingly to compete. I don't see them being profitable for quite some time.
Does this individual have the initials Paul Hauck?
My $02 on the negative comments. Keep them coming.
When analyzing stocks I find it much more valuable to look at what can go wrong, as opposed to what can go right. The right stuff will take care of itself. The wrong stuff can make you broke.
I can promise you the NASA engineers working with LiquidMetal are not sitting around a table praising the physical properties of LM. They instead are looking at its weaknesses. Watch the video below and see the power of negative information.

I fit your category of an investor that doesn't post often.. I bought my first shares of LQMT 10 years ago. I used to follow the Yahoo board, but moved to iHub when watts made the move.
As far as share price hitting a $1.00 this year. I give it a 0.1% chance unless there is a massive reverse split. I suppose there is always a chance, but don't invest on this chance. Since the dilution the highs have crept down. The Apple contract pushed us to around $1.70 since then we seen highs of $0.75 and last Feb $0.45. I think you can count on not seeing $0.45 this year.
If it does go to a $1.00 this year without a reverse split. I will eat crow and buy a round of drinks for everyone on this board at the next ASHM.
I believe the 100 gram ingots from Materion are around $100/ea. This would be $31/oz. Still quite expensive compared to other metals.
Happy New Year All.
I am going to have a hard time drinking my PBR tonight with all these hooks in my mouth. Next year I hope to be hook free and drinking Cristal.
Finally someone has confirmed the use of LiquidMetal in 2015. Looks like Gorgol will see his $3.00/sh soon.
LM 2015
Your right shipping would not be that much, but it does have to sit on a boat for 3 weeks. I just don't see the advantage to have a machine in the US pumping out parts when it would be more convenient and cheaper to have Foxconn run their own machines. It is probably all moot anyway. I don't see Apple using LQMT until after 2015.
Graphene May Be More Toxic
The answer is in your title. It has not been proven in humans.
1. Graphene is not in the public realm so there are no case studies on exposure of large populations.
2. Look at how long it took for cigarettes to be proven to cause cancer and this is actually still debated. Cigarettes had a huge population to study.
I'm just saying, in a court of law there is no proof that graphene is toxic to Humans.
Are you confusing my post with another? My post was about using the Mesa facility for manufacturing LQMT.
There has been talk in the past about the possibility of LQMT being molded in the Mesa facility. I have questioned this, and after reading the GTAT article I stand by my original call. You will never see LQMT molded parts come out of the Mesa facility.
Graphene is 10x more toxic to humans than Berylium
That has not been proven.
You can make a space elevator out of Graphene. And that alone is enough to push it forward.
After reading this, I am confident, Engel or any other molding machine will not move into Mesa facility. It is clear this facility is very specialized and would not be economical chose for molding machines.
On top of this, the entire supply chain for mobile phones is in Asia. No sense making parts here and shipping them. That supply chain will not be moving to the US anytime soon. A fab plant for LCD screens costs north of a Billion dollars.
I will be happy with Paul going after the MIM market. LQMT makes sense in this arena. I have come to the conclusion LQMT will not change the world, but should be disruptive in a few markets and that is enough to make some money.
Those looking to become millionaires should have 20 million shares or buy lottery tickets.
Did anyone get a cycle time on the Engel machine at the ASHM. I know they didn't want pictures taken, but I was hoping some timed the cycle. Is the part in the video below what was handed out? Thanks...
LM-Injection
Thank your son for his service. I love the F18. Will he be flying an F35 anytime soon?
3. The new Engel Machine will prove not to be vaporware.
I believe it is NOT Vaporware. I think the process with 100g ingots and the Engel machine is finally real. I wish I had the time and money to see the machine in person. I will not be able to make the shareholders meeting, but maybe next year I could visit the Center of Excellence.
I still don't see the advantage for waterproofing. However, from the patents in CIP Apple looks determined to bond LQMT with sapphire. Not sure why. Maybe cost. But I doubt it is for waterproofing.
My calls for this year are as follows.
1. No way the stock hits $.40 this year. Again.
2. All of Gorgol's predictions will be be missed. Aug. was a miss and his call for $.40 this month will miss.
3. The new Engel Machine will prove not to be vaporware.
4. Production of LQMT sheets is 4 years out. At least..
I has never been that high with the current number of shares trading.
New iWatch.

All the parts you listed were made with old processes. The production validation of the new process on Engel machine, should cause a bump.
However, this stock is not headed to the dollar range anytime soon. The stock will not reach a $1.00+ in the next 12 months and will obviously not reach $.30 today. I agree with Eagle that every time this stock moves it gets over hyped.
3 Lefts = a Right
What difference does the number of inventors make? I have my name on several patents, but I have no rights to them. Corporations always own the patents. And it looks like Apple owns these.
Thanks for the links.
You are correct. In the US it is a Mold. Sometimes referred to as a tool or tooling.
Mold-Wiki
Which patent is this? Do you have a link? I believe this is old news. Apple has mentioned LiquidMetal in the past in several patents. It is no secret Apple is working with LiquidMetal.
No...I never was yelling "buy"...nor was I hyping while I was selling..... I did it all very quickly...
I believe you were yelling buy. When you make ridiculous claims like in your posts below. You are screaming buy buy buy.

Liquid metal is not headed to $3.00/sh, but you can make money on this stock. $.45/sh is reasonable on some good news and I would be happy with that.
Does anyone know how much the 100 gram ingot of LQMT costs?
Tom mentioned 3 different categories of parts.
1. Parts that are designed, and produced by LQMT. This could be the Chess pieces.
2. Parts that LQMT engineers modify to suit the LQMT characteristics and process. This could be current parts, converted to LQMT, or a new part. This is where Paul and his team come in. They need to convert as many MIM parts to LQMT as possible.
3. Parts that are made by a licensed manufacture. Where LQMT would get a royalty.
I probably didn't get this exactly right, but something along these lines. I was busy and didn't listen to the CC. I read the transcript.
Funk, will Bentley key fobs be part of the 2015 LQMT resurrection into the real world of production?
I am not sure about the key gab. I haven't talk with Derek Rasmussen for over a year now. He mentioned the key fab at that time, but haven't heard anything since. Steip did say there was one Misc. product in the works. This could be it, but it is definitely not Aerospace or Medical.
Did Steipp infer that LQMT engineers may need to work with the consumer to "design" the part to work within the parameter of the molding or production technology?
Yes. Part and mold design for LQMT is new and would likely require some input from Tom's engineers.
Machining the current iPhone takes 3 - 5 min as well. Plus some finishing time. LM would likely be an improvement over this.
Good eye. I also don't believe this to be LiquidMetal but not because of the scratches. LM has a Rockwell C hardness of around 52. This is very hard for metal, but not that hard in nature. For example, sapphire if converted from Mohs scale, would have a hardness of over 400. LM will scratch. Many common minerals will scratch LM.
My reason is the edge of the part. The edge seems slightly turned up like it was punched and not the edge of a molded part. I guess will find out in a month.

apology accepted.
Wavelength Calculator
The above link will calculate wavelengths for you. I think your problem is you believe a radio wave is the same as a sound wave. Sound waves do not travel at the speed of light. They are much slower. Electromagnetic Radiation or Radio frequencies travel at the speed of light. Totally different from sound waves.
Your physics lesson for the day.
My bad, Here you go.
1 foot = 12 inches. Do the math, dude.
