Seeking Alpha they some good. Some questionable. And some interesting articles. But look at their disclosures so you can understand their bias.
I'm not sure iif that's true. I got .1319 which is exactly what AAL stated. I think it's just the bean counters haven't entered the info to your account.
I want to call my fidelity account infidelity bc it's badass. Go longs. $39 is our goal
From AAL website. Hope it helps. My understanding is 1aamrq to .1319 AAL
So if that happens 3 more times we get overall .5276 plus initial .065 =
.5926.
Or overall 1Aamrq to .5926AAL @27.5= old aamrq is worth $16.20
Pursuant to Section 4.5 of the Company's Fourth Amended Joint Plan of Reorganization (the "Plan"), holders of AMR common stock (formerly traded under the symbol: "AAMRQ") who received an initial distribution of shares of AAL in connection with the effective date of the Plan will receive, for each share of AMR common stock previously owned, a distribution of approximately 0.1319 shares of AAL on or about January 9, 2014. AAMRQ holders may in the future receive additional distributions based on the trading price of AAL common stock during the 120 day period after the effective date and the total amount of allowed claims, in each case, in accordance with the terms of the Plan.
If visser was that big of an issue then why would Apple extend the contract. Granted I could be arguing apples and oranges
I wonder if liquidmetals lqmt will ever work with sglb.
What's the difference between a green. A gray and a red number under the trades tab. I figure green is a buy. Red is a sell and grey is short?
Holy cow someone bought 1.5 million shares at closing Friday.
I held bc if aamrq was getting zero they would have. What my fidelity manager scared me was that they can hide remaining assets by hiding it in accounting tricks. Example Claiming debt on the new airplane purchases... That is why I've started a twitter war with American Airlines asking them to post more on their website.
Granted I'm jaded so I don't believe anything till I see facts or figures.
Haha here's a story for you...
I bought lqmt in 2010. Just like 3k shares. My Only penny stock at the time
Fast forward June 2012
Was saving so far 3k to buy a wedding ring because I was a fool in love at 25.... Get dumped and said f it. I was going to waste it on a ring I now wanted to dab in penny stocks/ new hobby to forget my ex
I have my value stocks bc as a kid in the early 2000s stocks interest me( got burned and learned)
I bought this little company called American Airlines. AAMRQ. At .36 cents with that money. .36 cents to 12 a share. Sold some at $5
Bought lqmt at .07 and equalized 60k at .095. So I'm doing okay.
O yeah and I also bought fnma at .43 and I sold all at 2.5 bc it's to risky.
Now Isn't that funny. To me Fnma > lqmt in risk.
But the point of the story. Stocks teach you a lot about life and relationship. I know I'm only 26. But Sometimes you need to learn to cut a bad relationship or a bad company with no potential.
But when you believe in a company, or a person, you are willing to commit your time. Bc you know at the end how great that partnership will be. I know I could be foolishly in love (wouldn't be the first time) with lqmt, but I've learned you don't put what you can't afford to lose. I'm a believer and I'm patient.
Ps I will start medical school August 2014 so I'm not using any student debt money for that.
Lol completely agree sake does wonderful and horrible things. And as a 26yo I think he thought I was interested in the science...lol little did he know. (Trying to pay for med school)
Once again completely agree...This isn't anything substantial, but it's cool (semi validating the legitimacy) hearing lqmt out of the blue like that.
I still think if we don't dilute ourselves to death, go 2015!
Good luck longs.
I love living in the Bay Area bc within a 20 mile span there is a trillion dollars with of companies. Such as Apple google Facebook. But there is another company... Lockheed Martin... I met their senior missile designer, retired couple years ago... When I mentioned lqmt he knew that company and he said that they have been working with them for a WHILE. Greater than 5 years... Made my night. Granted I was 5 sake bombs deep with that guy.
Exactly. I don't know the information because I'm a scientist not an economist. I use this board to expand and boarder my view point. Hearing terms/words/ and vocabulary I don't know so I can explore those unknown areas.
Bahaha do you think I make my life decisions based off someone sitting behind a computer. I would have killed someone in my short medical career.
No that's the purpose to be well informed. Listening to everyone's views and opinions. Respecting and trusting are two different entities. I respect you. Trust you. Not there yet. But believe me I trust you more than others bc the information you present. You come off well articulated. The point being is as an American I'm entitled to my opinions and I am allowed to question the unknown.
Ps I have been on the site. Yes they did publish the .0665 but nothing besides that. So if you are going to argue me... Argue the right points. I demand clarity. Not my shares. I kept them because I believe. And I'm happy to hold. But demanding knowledge is what keeps us from being ignorant.
No see that's the point. No offense. We derived the equation. It's not official. For all I know it's hot air. Point being AA should post that at 15 you get zero. At 20 you get x at 25 you get xx. Dur we won't know what the price will be in 30/60/90/120 days. But an equation is an equation is an equation. So please don't ridicule me bc if there is one thing I've learned in life. Just bc I like the members on this board... Doesn't mean I have to trust what they say or come up with. ;)
I've linked cnn msnbc cnbc times forbes and the bloomberg. If they won't answer to us. Let's get the big ppl involve. I'm a scientist. I work with facts and equation... Why are we doing the conversion. It should be their responsibility to inform us as much as they can.
I've started beef with American Airlines on twitter. Demand they post the conversion. I've already had couple retweets
Bahahaha. Awesome. Me too! Anyone who "lost" their shares... I'll buy them for 10 a share.
I think from here on out. Every time I read another message ppl saying omg I lost my money. I'm going to egg them on. Because it's not fair they waste My or deater or dad. Or anyone else who has had a lot more patience than I have had.
Doing the math. If AAL pay out was at 25 the whole time vs 30. Our pay out difference is a gain of 47%. We need AAL to boom up. After 120 days I'll be okay if it sells off. I just want as many shares as possible. And these next 4 months means everything!!
What do we get 30/60/90/120? Do we get .065 or do we get .233
I've been doing my reading. So I understand today I got .065. So if I got 1000aamrq I now have 65AAL today.
Here is where I'm confused... But what do I get then at 30/60/90/120 days assuming AAL stays around here. will will I get about 25% of 1000. Or will i ultimately get 100 shares or so every 30 days?!?
I think we understand the initial chunk. What do we get after? And what's that conversion?
Lol it's okay no one posts besides me. That board is boring. This one is way more fun.
Maybe this pull back is a good thing... It has had a good run up... So maybe consolidate through merger and a nice linear take off? I guess I'll be okay with that. I among aamrq and LCC. Wtf lol. Go home me. I'm drunk.

This is what baffles me. Mind you it's my first merger. In at .36 for aamrq. And LCC at 6. But if LCC is currently at 23 and if we are given a 1:1 for aamrq and 1:1 for LCC then doesn't that mean we'll make out even with aamrq and lose $10 a share with LCC? I'm a noob but I have done my DD and it's still murky.
Just trying to pay for medical school at 26.
Good luck longs!
Just curious. It's my first merger. But if my LCC is at 24. And I'm given 1 share of AAL. Won't the new shares have to be something similar in price?
Dang it. Aamrq
Let's get LCC to 39.39 to get ammrq to 39.39
How has this not been trading up with all the great news and price targets at 30-40.
Lol weren't kidding on the aamrq boards you were traveling. Lol go longs
I calculated. 39.39 would be the cross road
If LCC can get to 39.39. Aamrq would be 39.39. Lol.
If Boeing makes airplanes made from lqmt. I'll be a happy man. And medical school would be paid for with aamrq and lqmt.
Good post. Lol but I think all this hoopla about the commercial is silly.
I mentioned this but ppl brushed it off. I live in Cupertino. Many friends work there... Growing consensus is that within 6-18 months apple will be trying to manufacture here in the US. Google has been doing this too.
Lol sure enough couple months after posting that comment... The Arizona factory pops up. Just saying a lot of things are starting to paint some type of a picture what it is... Don't know yet... But I'm excited
"While not yet in full implement, it is understood that the metallic cover of the 5S is laced with Liquidmetal, likely the aluminium band that wraps around the handset's edges that overlaps under the phone's thin bezels."
I dropped my iPhone 5s on that band. It got scuffed and a little dinked. I dint think that happens with lqmt. I'm still kinda doubtful. Positive thoughts for 6.
I just saw this on the Seeking Alpha Portfolio app
Report argues iPhone 5S uses Liquidmetal
http://seekingalpha.com/currents/post/1396992?source=iphoneportfolioapp_message
Wow all over the place. Down 6. Down .50 lol
Lol thank you, someone finally mentioned the commercials!
Someone bought 145k shares near the end of the day. Over 3 million in that trade.
