I hope ariad releases some real news soon, so people can have real discussions
In 3-4 years, ariad will have more shares outstanding which could result in a buyout significantly less than $40pps if at $8.6b.
Would need pipeline potential earlier rather than later, for comparable return
the only excellent information posted on "this" board concerning the stock, are the factual information that one has posted from a press or documented release. the opinions (tick tock) and the responses to those opinions (lol)…priceless
9 straight trading days in a row, on the plus side and we're only up .70 cents? Shit! 2 negative days in a row usually knocks the stock price down more than .80 cents!
As a long for years now, It sux to have to wait any longer for more profitability. Hope this research can spark intrest in a buyout sooner
i fudged up for not selling in the $20s. but for crying out load harvey!..do you have to keep rubbing that in my face?!
i hope every supportive post and analyst catch up soon. been a long time waiting for such posts to finally come to fruition.
why do you bother? you do realize that your asking someone that has been pumping the stock from the $9s down to the $5s for the past several months. i think your dd is slightly more reassuring?
simple form then. why waste your time responding to the haters? they can not influence what you believe will be ariads eventual outcome.
spare me. if you believe that, then why are you constantly defending him and the company to the supposed haters? they, me and yourself, can't affect zilch about the company anyhow. making the useless back and forth posts a waste of time, correct?
if you believe what you are preaching, the doctor will eventually prove you right. you can then gloat all you want to the supposed haters..if there are any left.
With burgers track record and the hole the company has dug itself, there are no longer any posts or analysts blogs, with any credibility to them. I would guess the remaining employees at ariad have no clue with the company's near or long term future.
because of these uncertainties surrounding ariad, recent posts and blogs seem to be more of a personal driven agenda. Back and forth talk of useless chatter, for one's own purpose.
Having said that, your recent posts seem to be as close to a reality check as any, a true investor has with regards to the company's outlook.
these financial calls are a reality check. to think that the company has a billion market cap and the stock price is just a tad over $5. missed $$ from france/europe? so what. wouldn't put a dent in the share price anyhow. the question is how, or when (if ever) can the company make it back to $10 $15 $20 or $25 a share, or between 2-4 billion market cap? not an easy task.
company needs to be sold…harvey needs to go…people need to move on.
funny that you mention mgmt doing the right thing. harvey is a doctor of medicine correct? which means that he must have taken the oath upon becoming an md. in a nut shell, i believe that oath states that he shall do all within his power, without prejudice, to help the needs of the ill.
theoretically, wouldn't the help of a big pharma's deep pockets be able to bring about ariads pipeline to those in need in a more timely fashion? with the current state of the company, shouldn't that oath make him reconsider going it alone?...just wandering out loud
Nobody is touching this until rumors of a buyout start to stir.. They need harvey to give in..
thats because of the man in charge and his ego. science is in place. for investment reasons, harvey has to go.
hey, 2da and br. wasn't to long ago that you guys were attacking concerned investors the same way with the pumping. pointless and frustrating isn't it? can be said, what comes around goes around. at least the experience should have made you guys more astute and resonable investors.
after what the real longs of this stock have been through as of late...this is somewhat refreshing.
no jess, the ball is not in my court. if harvey cares about shareholder value, and more importantly to that oath he took when he became an md…then he should sell the company asap.
from your very 1st post, you have tried to debunk other peoples concerned views on ariad. whatever, its your schtick.
for the record, adam f dirty drug reference had some merit, have any one of your counter response views come to fruition yet?
i think you are dealing with a few antagonists.
every long that is still holding shares in this company, should now be on the same page. no more squabbling against each other. in order for ariads future success and an increase in share holder value, the company needs to be sold. what people decide to do after that is up to them. but the immediate goal is now defined.
if the stock has harvey burger written all over it, which direction should the price be heading?
denner is just an example. true longs need to ask themselves where the ceo's head is at. care to guess at what price he would decide to sell the company? my guess is that the man is already wealthy which leaves me to believe that a $20, $40, dare i say $60, pps b/o would not sway him? the man likes to be in charge and in the spotlight. a buyout would diminish that shine from his ego, reducing him to just another multi millionaire? is that what the burgerking really wants?
not sure about this meeting. recent share price points to mediocre presentation at best. 8+ months after october, red flags are starting to appear. true investing longs need to be weary. message board dwellers need not be concerned. if denner, like his mentor before him, decides to bail, suggesting ceo the cause for his retreat, look out below.
nothing of significance is happening around ariad at the moment. forget the idle chit chat on a message board and go enjoy the day
decent points about denner. with denner on board and a partial funding issue addressed, there is a case for a possible future b/o.
of course at this stage, forget about denner and burger, if ariad recovers to past highs, be it buyout or another alternative, the main thanks should go to the current science team
with this latest fiasco, i hope the pps can still meet our lowered exit point sooner rather than later.
2da, bottom line for investors such as ourselves is that we fkd up. we held on to long. burger is in control, which means its all about him and from the looks of it, it seems as if he is a lifer in his company. no jackpot deals for him to retire early. its a learning lesson for future investments (be weary of the man in charge). unfortunately for us, we realized that lesson to late. the share price is now reflecting the man in charge and not the science being created by the staff at hand.
its perfectly clear that its all about him
have a hunch something is going on behind the scenes. to what extent?...
overall, a nice update with a little pop to the price. should be registering with more investors today. i believe the momentum upwards should conti…oh wait! this is ariad!...my bad.
a gut feeling for something good, maybe by the end of december? hey jess, you and vid have more in common than you think! if you go back around this time last year, vid was starting to preach very similar posts!…eerie..
nobody at ariad wants wants to commit a felony? money is involved, correct? I'm sure no crime has ever been committed due in part of money being the driving factor!!? no way!
harvey, looking out for our interests?!...your older than i thought
hey stockseek, any tips on how to be a successful short? remember, its a free for all message board. strategies and success stories from all sides are welcomed.
or have as many shares outstanding. theres a reason why the company is worth over a billion and stuck in the $6 range.
there lies the problem. if ariad is putting together something (big) around asco, the price will reflect that announcement and start moving up prior to asco. Do people forget that if its being discussed, or written down, then the "putting something together" will be known by insiders, thus influencing the share price. don't people know from previous asco and conference calls, that the price stays repressed after such events, if it heads into the event flatlined or down? don't people remember the stock prior to the october crash as erratic and trending in the middle teens leading up to the crash after hitting a high of $25?…someone knew. the reason is, when money is involved, someone always knows.
forget about an article based on the takedown. questionable calls happen. the loss is still a loss. we need for the drug(s) to start working extraordinary, for the company to rebound stronger. of course, thats still a gamble and may take some time for the word to get out. a buyout would be instant gratification.
as an investor in the company, dissing burgerking is my right. i might not know as much about the science, but i do have knowledge of people in his position. i would suggest to be wary as to their real motives and goals. having said that, i have witnessed enough of this mans words and body language to realize that he is an obstacle for ariads (and my investments) success.
also, just so you know, i really don't care if you or anyone else agrees or disagrees with my piece o mind.
