Greg I did say 'potential', you are entitled to your opinion but I prefer mine.
There is an old saying 'There's many a slip between the cup and the lip'. If you are clairvoyant please let me know, I might have a job for you.
Bye-bye.
Spin, so why don't you ask Wave? /e
Horseman, sorry to have singled you out. But the part of your post that I reacted to was an example of something that I have tried to point out in the past. This 'investment' by its nature is a gamble and cannot be compared to the average ongoing business. It will not pay off until it pays off and no one other than Steven Sprague knows all the things that are holding it back, and even he may not know. Unless one has walked in his shoes second guessing him is a waste of time. Monday morning quaterrbacking may be fun but It will not get anyone to a payoff any sooner.
The Spragues have spent a long time trying to bring to fruition what may become a highly remunerative concept under the noses of some of the largest companies in the IT business, and they may very well bring it off. But it is a gamble and not a sure thing.
Unfortunatly many of our fellow posters write as if they think they are entitled to immediate gratification and if they don't get it then it is Steven's fault. Steven is not God, even if it is sometimes as hard to get a straight answer out of him.
Horseman your statement really amazes me.
You say:
"this is unbelievably embarrassing. My pain practice does $60,000 in revenue a WEEK. And I must say my overhead is not 3.4M a quarter!"
Have you never heard of the risk/reward equation?
I Hollywood some people make millions every year while others spend years waiting tables hopeing for a chance that never comes. Wave is a high risk/high reward gamble. You may make a very nice living in your business but you will never become a billionaire in it. Wave may not ever make a dime, but on the other hand we are all hopeing it will make us at least millionairs.
You can't expect the reward without the risk. So quitcherbellyacking.
God forbid!
Greg
We are at the bottom of a potential 'S' curve. You did learn about 's' curves in college. Jeez... give the company a chance.
Barge is 'weak fact' something like 'a little pregnant'?
Larry Dudash why don't you tell us.
Larry Dudash how long I would wait has no bearing on how long you should wait. You miss the point. Stop asking everyone else to answer your personal questions. Act your age and make up your own mind.
Larry grow up. You are sounding like a little boy who keeps asking 'are we there yet?'. Believe me, when we get there you will know.
Spin why would anyone pay a double fee to buy from a licensee when they can buy from the original and get support from the people who invented the technology?
Soter you are right. My wife, who retired from Pacbell, received Pacbell stock as part of here retirement. That stock, has been split, bought out and recombined so many times in so many different ways that I can no longer keep track.
Verizon was originally the cell phone spinoff of Pacbell.
Magdelina I agree with you, I just didn't want to go into that much detail.
Interesting how people accuse SKS and Peter of greed when in fact they made no money from the purchases of shares made by these people. They are the people who have put in all the work to get the company to the verge of success. For the most part it was the greed of the shareholders who purchased a very speculative stock expecting to be made millionairs in very short order. IMHO they have little to complain about. They have taken the risk with their money and now they have to live with the results for better or worse.
eamonshute, funny you should mention that don't as don't tell policy with your wife. I have the same situation here.
reg, hindsight is wonderful, especially when you don't have to deal with reality. What do you know of the dealings that SKS has had to contend with during the year?
Barge I'm serious. Here is your chance to nail him in person, if he is indeed HhH.
Barge would you like to meet with HBG and decide for yourself? I would be happy to arrange a meeting.
Barge is this another one of your attempts at humor disguised as a serious comment?
Barge I was trying to make a point. For one who is always ready to tell everyone else, in no uncertain terms, what you think, and then expect them to know when you are, as you claim, only joking, you seem unable to figure out whether or not someone else is 'only joking'.

Bingoman
edit: And thank you eamonshute.
Barge, for one who claims to be a comedian you don't seem to be able to recognize other peoples fun, even when followed by a hearty laugh.
Barge - I want to hear HBG's take on this for 'balance' before I respond. ROFLOL.
Barge, you write
"The problem is that your meeting with HBG offers NO "reasonable proof". Zilch. Nothing."
Just want to thank you for your great confidence in my judgement. NOT
Barge - whether HBG is or is not HhH is of little concern to me. In any case he makes an excellent counter balance to your over optimistic pronouncements.
Kevin - this has been discussed ad nauseum.
HBG was in communication with HhH. HhH did not wish to carry on a discussion as I recall. he certainly did not care to meet with anyone. If he were HBG and wanted to fake a discussion it would have been very easy.
It is not easy to prove a negative. You can either believe that my meeting with HBG offers reasonable proof (but no guaranttee) that HBG is not HhH or not as you wish, but in any case further discussion will prove nothing, so this will probably be my last comment on this foolish discussion.
CPA - Methinks thou doth protest too much! JMHO
Scorpio, as a member of the legal system do you really think that little of the jury system?
Careful Howard, you are treading on dangerous grounds! LOL.
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Weby.
I just got home and got your phone message. Call when you get a chance.

You think that's turbulent, try Phoenix with thunderstorms. I only drink 7up on that route.
Bingoman
I guess that means we all go around in circles.
rachelelise - I saw nothing about Howard B. Golden that would have lead me to believe he was a fighter.

Larry - RWK said it better than I can. And Microsoft's offices in Japan are being raided by the Anticompetion police as we speak.

Spin can't seem to see the difference between Windows and Office.
Typical lawyer, only reads the english he wants to see.
Howard even if some super I/O chips come with TMP built in not all will necessarily come that way. If the board designers do not feel a demand for TMP they will not waste the engineering time to design for the function. Adding a TMP, whether stand alone or in a super I/O chip requires adding logic to the board. This means added traces. This increases the design time, and the testing time and therefore the cost of the board.
Howard I have to disagree with you. Adding a TPM chip to a board may be marginal, but designing that board to function with a TPM chip takes very precious engineering time. I doubt that Intel would spend the engineering time to add the TPM to every MB design unless they had done considerable research beforehand to convince themselves that it would add something to the desireability of each board, even granted that not everyone would use the TPM.
Greg - who are you to decide how SKS should allot his 24 hours. Perhaps his best meeting times are at dinner and his best thinking and planning times are at 2am, as many people I know do.
Methinks you and Burpzilla both try too hard to fault SKS's every move. But far be it from me to suggest that the two of you have an agenda.
