it's interesting to watch price advance with a bit of volume and no announcement!
kitesurf, that was my point exactly!
I think this is important: Wave ETS Enterprise TPM Security Software, Dell Edition v1.0 for TPM-enabled systems is a robust suite of applications offering the following features:
24601, here here. Your nomination of 375 Greenwich is hereby seconded!:)
I'm sure someone's posted this already but I just saw this and found it interesting. For those who carp about CSP being free (and I know the commercial version isn't) that may be so but support is gonna cost the user.

best to all,

Hey Rusty, all due respect but if "it" doesn't happen pretty quick there ain't gonna be a little ol WAVX anymore
He thinks they have a plan!!!
"Is there a potential market for it (WAVEXPRESS). Potentially yes, potentially no"
Steven, are you freakin kidding me? what the hell kind of statement is that?!
Well damn, I say increase the bonuses!!!!
Edit-I'd love to know if those institutions that have increased or established positions in the last 1/2 year have actually met with the company and management
Re:reporting of insider buying-only need to report if you're an "officer, director or "beneficial owner" (holder of 10% or more)
FWIW insiders are not neccessarily known for being the best timers with respect to their purchases. On the other hand I do think McConnaughy could do better DD.
REPLACE THE BOD!!!!!!
Doma: I'm so glad to see some long time holders reaching the point of disgust with some of Mgmt.'s decisions. Feeney should have been gone awhile ago. Maybe this will get shareholders to be a bit more proactive and involved. I fail to see how Feeney has fulfilled his fiduciary responsibility to shareholders. Further, SKS may be a visionary but he has to share responsibility for this decision. I don't advocate his replacement but the board absolutely needs to be replaced by one that will oversee mgmt. Enough of this garbage. This company belongs to the shareholders not the Spragues & Feeneys. BS
LD, sure, that would be nice, Thanks
Snacks, can't wait for that opportunity! :)
OT Thanks VH & Snackman. Just to be clear, I don't want out. I'm playing this out to the end. Was just thinking of writing covered calls against a portion of my position. Godd luck to us all.
Best, Vickers
thanks VH. Probably just as well. After holding for years the stock would run to 20 the moment I wrote covered calls:)
Just curious, I was thinking about writing covered calls but find options no longer trade on Wave. When did that happen? TIA
Comcast and Microsoft Announce Licensing Agreement for Microsoft TV Software
http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/040520/sfth049_1.html
Thursday May 20, 9:01 am ET
PHILADELPHIA and REDMOND, Wash., May 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Comcast Cable and Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT - News) today announced an agreement that extends their existing relationship and gives Comcast the ability to make Microsoft® TV Foundation Edition 1.7 software available to up to 5 million customers, with the option to expand the rollout at a later date. Taking Microsoft TV Foundation to the next level reinforces Comcast and Microsoft's commitment to driving industry innovation and working together to bring advanced digital television services to consumers.
"We're very impressed with the Microsoft software platform and its ability to enhance and promote video on demand, as well as its capability to launch other interactive services," said Steve Burke, president of Comcast Cable. "We're excited about working closely with Microsoft to jointly define the digital TV experiences of the future and to continue bringing innovative services to our cable customers."
As consumers demand more-advanced digital TV services, including digital video recorders (DVRs), video on demand (VOD) and high-definition television (HDTV), cable companies are looking for software platforms such as Microsoft TV Foundation Edition that continue to provide significant competitive advantages in the marketplace. Foundation Edition is designed to work across a range of set-top boxes, from the tens of millions of set-tops that multiple service operators (MSOs) have in place today to the ongoing deployment of advanced set-tops that enable new services, including dual-tuner DVR, VOD, HDTV, games and more. The software, among the first to support the dual-tuner DVR and HDTV capabilities in Motorola's new DCT 6412 set-top, also helps viewers more easily use these services with an innovative, built-in interactive programming guide (IPG).
"Comcast continues to lead the industry in innovation and in the delivery of exciting services that bring new value to its subscribers," said Moshe Lichtman, corporate vice president of the Microsoft TV Division. "Comcast's significant commitment to Microsoft TV Foundation is a very powerful stamp of approval. It is another sign that the industry wants cost-effective, scalable software platforms like Microsoft TV to deliver the services consumers want today as well as the future services that have yet to be invented."
FWIW-Found another hedge fund who established 500,000 share position at end of January. Alexandra Investment Management-seem to be based either out of South Africa or UK.
FWIW, CALPERS reported 1st quarter position showed no change from prior. Considering their activist and involved style I infer they're not overly concerned with the lawsuits or mgt. decisions. Good to see.
YukonWookie: Hey Steve, wish I could offer some enlightenment with respect to short question you pose but never worked with short interest numbers. On the other hand if you ever have a question about insider filings or institutional filings give me a holler.

Love this quote from NSM
“National Semiconductor fully supports and applauds the efforts of the TCG TPM v1.2 specification. As a supplier of TPMs, we at National have worked together with the rest of the industry to formalize the next-generation secure computing base. We will aggressively pursue this security technology roadmap while, at the same time, making these implementations integrated and affordable to spur adoption across all market segments. Certainly, security and trust will become the next touchstone in the PC marketplace.”

Recovering from Computer Failures, If TPMs Go Bad-starts at 2pm EST. Maybe we'll get a nice little run out of that session. Here's to hoping:)
Larry, nice little buy call you made last night. Kudos:)
24601, further, in fairness to KeV there were a couple more sales reported in the Q4 filings (although the bulk of filings will hit next week)but I was annoyed at his using Q3 sellouts to try and paint an incorrect picture.
As of now we see 12 institutions with Q4 WAVX action/no changes:
3 no change
4 sold positions totaling 10162 shares
5 added to or initiated new positions totaling 559366 shares.
That's a lot more accurate picture.
Thanks.
Best,
Vickers2
24601, no problem. Thanks. eom
KeV, quite the disingenuous post. Of the "6 sellouts" you write of only two were in the most current period, for a whopping total of 1,762 shares. All the others were from earlier periods. On the other hand CALPERS (a very involved institutional holder, you can bet they've spoken with mgmt.) and MWN open new positions during Q4 for 255,700 shares. It's ok to be ticked off but at least be honest.
oknpv, good question. I can't believe out of all our posters we don't have a couple of good attorneys who can give us some guidance with respect to that question. Guess we'll wait and see.

Doma, read it a month ago. Came immediately to mind when I saw the suit yesterday. Let's find an attorney like the one who in the novel who sued the original plaintiffs attorneys :)
Internet, I'm not convinced they think they have a winnable suit but I do thinnk they feel they can pressure Wave into a settlement. Other filers will follow for sure.
Best, Vickers2
PS, Burpzilla, that wasn't in response to you but just a general message to all.
Re: lawsuit, #1 you had to know this was coming, and #2 regardless of merits it costs money to defend so this is less (much less)than good.
Seriously, I was involved in IR for 11 years and if you go back and look at the myriad of suits filed over the last decade you'll see these guys these guys have made a very good living doing this.

Snack, id at other site in vickers2, tomonli@yahoo.com. Thanks
found a new inst. investor..
Ramius Capital Group LLC 328,947 +328,947 01-20-04
Downsview Capital, Inc. 328,947 +328,947 01-20-04
Because positions are the same I suspect that one may be a subsidiary of the other, nonetheless I found Ramius Investment Philosphy to be interesting when you consider they've taken a position in Wave when it would seem on the surface anyway that Wave wouldn't be the sort of investment exemplified by their investment philosophy.
http://www.ramius.com/invest_pro.html#
"Investment Philosophy"
Ramius Capital’s investment philosophy is based on four principles:
Preserving and enhancing clients’ capital
Generating attractive, low-volatility absolute returns which are not linked to any broad-based market indices
Employing a risk-averse, research-intensive investment process.
And still they've invested in Wave. Wonder what they may know that we don't!
Best, Vickers2
oknpv, with respect to your question re: the ""approx date of sale...1-20-04", the reason for that is that 144 filings are done in advance of the actual trade and in fact the filing gives the filer(s) a window of time within which to effect the trade. Hope that helps. Best, Vickers2
KeV, "and the market is NEVER wrong"? Of course it is. I don't have time to cite the 1,000's of examples.

Bluefang;if Feeney purchased shares he must report. No way around it.

CPA, I mostly lurk but I must ask, seriously, Are you OK? We don't need you to be our keeper. I find myself beginning to get real annoyed with your constant diatribe. At least Fang seems to try and see BOTH sides. You act like a spurned lover. Is there something we should know?
I know, it'll be deleted but that's OK:)
