I don't know Kev. I wonder if they are reading the board or they are attending the road show events? As we all have seen recently, institutions lose money too!....CL
Texastree,
Apparently Vanguard picked up some more. That (as I posted earlier) is gutsy. They must believe!.
CL
That's pretty cool and pretty gutsy don't ya think? What qurarter was that from Kev5?... CL
Texastree,
IMO I don't think you will see any institutional investors until the "Issues" with wave are cleared up.
1) SEC investigation.
2) Class action lawsuits.
3) Financing. IMO they will wait for the Shelf Registration to be approved at the very least.
4) Revenue. It does not have to be actual revenue, just a press release with a purchase order with dollar amounts.
Why would these guys risk there high paying big buck jobs buying into a company with all these issues? Until then I think the buying we see is from some very wealthy individuals with contacts with our partners that we are making deals with. JMO......CL
Everything that in my opinion that should make wave go down, isn't. The fact that the stock is up after the shelf registration is very bullish to me. I am actually reconsidering buying mu 55k shares back at these levels....CL
Mudbug,
I bought 1000 shares at around the 4.40 mark with a 3.50 sell stop and got stopped out. I did not take a major position till wave was in the low 2's.....CL
eamonnshute
In case you haven't noticed, I have not been following the board much at all lately. I just check in every day or two to see whats happening. I did just hear about Verisgn this evening.
You are 100% right. I spoke to Weby this evening and he spoke to me a bit about exactly what you just posted:
Their authentication (a user authentication scheme, by the way, not a device authentication scheme) is part and parcel of an initiative called OATH.
Thank you very much for giving me the heads up. That was really good of you.
Please don't tell me you are basing your buying/selling decisions soley on what you read on this board without doing your own investigation?
Hey, I trust you guys</b?
Doma
BTW this is exactly what I said would happen. A current application provider would come up with a TPM solution. No big deal for the application provider, but about a dozen nails in waves coffin....CL
Doma,
I am absolutely selling my remaining 15k shares. I don't believe that wave can compete with verisign on any level. I do truly feel sorry for many on this board who have thier hopes, dreams & retirement pegged on this stock. It is very sad........CL
Micro,
Thank you for your post. I read everything you post with a great deal of respect.
I guess there is room for competition in the "space". In my opinion verisign with there strong customer base would be too strong for Wave to compete with given the lack of waves resources to market and introduce a new product.
I have to say at this point I feel truly sorry for all those that have everything riding on Wave. I have to admit that at one time in the past, I too had it ALL on riding on Wave.
Good luck to all, CL.
Doma,
you posted:
"The TCG says Verisign has an Attestation Server."
Not for anything but wasn't Attestation Waves Ace in the hole? If Verisign has Attestation wouldn't that make wave essentially obsolete? TIA.......CL
24601,
Whatever, we all know more than anyone else does about the intel bundling. However, it sure would be nice to know if anyone is downloading any software from wave and upgrading there TPM's that came with the board. If that was happening at a brisk pace that would be a good thing....CL
Weets!!!
I am so looking forward to Dinner with you, Weby, his wife and your wife if you would like. It's all on me and like I said before I do like Ruth Chris's. Although It's a steak house they have great lobster. But even better than that, they are opening a Mortons near my home in White Plains NY. I would love to take you all there. They have weekend specials at the Crown Plaza across the street. Being that dinner on's me it may be worth the 99 bucks for a room so you can enjoy the wine without the worry.
Well to keep this post on topic, it looks as if there is some upward pressure on the stock today. Although the market had it's typical knee jerk downward spike on finance news, it seems to have found a base for now......CL
24601
That announcement got me back in the stock in a very big way. I hope most of you realize I do respect what is posted here and have taken action and bought the stock based what I read at ihub. It just isn't right for people to take selling so personally. It's the other half of the investment...CL
Awk,
I apologized to everyone, but you know something? According to the class action law suites I was right and had nothing to apologize for. It's nine months since the Intel announcement and Wave is still broke with no revenues. Nothing has changed except a big fat spike up in the share price that could not hold because of selling pressure not only from investors but from company officers. I hope for all your sake it rallies back, but at this point it's anyones call......CL
Why is every body taking everything so personally. I invested a lot of money in this company based on what a lot of you all posted. That should tell you I have a bit of respect for what most of you say, however there is a lot of money at stake and decisions must be made to protect our investments. It shouldn't be taken as an insult or taken as attack when some one decides to sell out. The cool thing is I can be back in a split second.
No one knows yet wether this new approach to financing is a good thing or a bad thing. I hope it works out great for everyone, but please can everyone stop taking it so personally if some one decides to sell. Selling can be a good thing, especially if it's for more then you paid. So please, lets be easy on the sellers. Even Snackman rightfully took some profits. I was very happy to see that.
Good luck everyone!!!!....CL
Doma,
The shelf placement was either an act of genius or desperation. We will all soon see.
I waited for the pump to dump my shares. Nothing wrong with that. I made no bones about not being attached to my shares.
At least everyone knows where the next round of funding is coming from, it's just that no one knows wether that's a good thing or a bad thing yet........CL
michaele
1) Wave had it's very own press release to tell the world that in the opinion of it's aduitors they had little chance of survival.
2) Wave has a stack of class action law suites that dwarfes any bashing anyone can do on this board.
3) Despite the wonder full intel announcement nearly nine months ago there is still no revenue. (maybe the lawyers are right?)
4) They announced today they run out of cash in June.
5) The SEC is investigating Wave not me.
I think the biggest basher may be the company itself! I didn't say any of those things, wave did.
And please don't mix up bashing with venting. I have plenty to be upset about (as does everyone else on this board) with the way these key stone cops have handled the company I had major money invested in..CL
Rachelise
There may be some monster news that even wave wants take advantage off. If they really have the goods, this is absolutely the cheapest and best way to raise capital. Who knows, this could be a stroke of genius or an act of desperation. Only time will tell. I sure hope it's a stroke of genius....CL
Rachelise,
I just worked my way out of a painfull 70,000 share long position. I saved 15,000 for the heck of it. I sold the opening between 2.25 and 2.09 the day after the big rally. I have no sinister plot. My greed led me back to wave because I felt bad about missing the intel rally. I am now happy to be out of most of my beat up position with some minor scars. I was scaired xxxxless the entire time I was long.
I hope for all our sake (even my poultry 15k long position) that this stock takes off for all the nice people here. I just have no faith in the Spraugues any more. I can't tell when Steven is being "optimistic" or if he is "b-sing"..Time will tell...Well good luck and I am sincere....CL
See 24 one of the wonderfull things about the Shelf registration is Wave can sell shares just as you and I on the open market and the money goes directly to the treasury. Everyone has these allusions that the shares will be scooped up by strategic partners. Unless there is some monster news, the shares will most likely be bought by the Market Makers and shorts that have sold into every rally for the last few years. Or the shares will be bought by greedy wavoids the next time some juicy news is announced. Here we are a few quarters away from the intel announcement and so far not a dimes worth of revenue seems to have come from that. Instead today where told the needles on E with less than 1/4's worth of cash on hand and the company plans on supporting itself from the it's etrade account....Good luck,! CL
That is a typical wavoid response. Spin is not buying. Nobody with half a brain would buy with 3 months worth of cash left and 25 million dollars worth of stock being sold on the open market. Looks like they are out of PP partners. I guess the brite side is is that this is the cheapest way of getting financing. They don't have to give any warrants out, they don't have to pay anyone a vig, all they have to do is pump it, and they are good at that.
Well good luck wavoids. Sure hope they have some monster news waiting in the wings to give you another 25 million share day......CL
First post in a while....
I am very disapointed with these guys. They are like the keystone cops. How could they put out a PR saying they narrowed the loss to a penny a share, only to have to retract it a minute later. What a bunch of bozos. With a stack of Class action Law suites why would they ever even think they could get away with that wording. It just goes to show, they probably consider selling stock sales. Stating the SSP sale narrowed a loss is liking counting Private Placement Revenue as sales. In all these years stock is about all they proven they could sell.
On the flip side, they had the call earlier than usual. Hopefully it was so they could get all the bad news behind them with upcoming NSM deployment news. It's the only reason I can think off. But that would be the smart thing to do, and I am not so sure these guys are capable of thinking that way......CL
UC,
Sure do! I live in a very liberal community. It's mandatory viewing for my children's friends as we try to give them a "fair and balanced view" of the world."
Very few Republicans around here, but we are trying. This is Clinton Country.......CL
Yap...I wrote the following letter to Bill O'reily tonight regarding Martha:
Dear Bill,
During the duration of this trial I saw NOBODY reporting or commenting on the fact that Martha Stuart sat on the board of directors of the New York Stock Exchange. As a board member, she should be held at a much higher standard than the typical convicted felon. Not only should she have NOT acted and traded on the inside information, she should have immediately reported the officers at Imclone to the SEC and the compliance Dept at the NYSE when she heard they were dumping their stock ahead of bad news. Sitting on the Board of Directors at the NYSE should have meant something. I say throw the book at her.....yapadacadoc Scarsdale NY

OT, I hub has some real cool new features. I guess they are for the paying customer, but it now has a level 2 screen and some ok basic charts. For all those on the fence about ponying up some bucks, I would....CL
Sam,
I think the lawyers through a wrench in the PR Machine. Wave looked like it was scared to mention any affiliation with any gorillas.....CL
LOL!!!!!
Wildman,
If they are not a member of TCG it means they probably bought technology to run the TPM from a TCG member, ie:Wave
I always thought it would be the little guys like acer that bought waves technology because they lack the resources of IBM & HPQ to develop thier own.
My Money is on Acer using Wave's ETS.....CL
Doma
Sure looks like the "White Box" people we expected wave to be deployed with.
BTW Thanks for sticking around. The longs that don't have the guts to stand up to scrutiny that pulled out to a private board are spineless. I guess with the Spragues treating Wave like it's own private company for so many years, it's only fitting it's supporters go private as well. This board has it all; ignore, private messages & even the former minister of informations limited censorship. There was no reason for them to leave, and it will hurt as lurkers check in from time to time and get the idea all it's long time longs have left wave...JMO CL
'CEO_integrity'
You have made the same post 3 times..All those concerned have probably sold. The rest of the Wavoid Nation have taken refuge elsewhere so these "minor bumbs in the road" don't make them car sick.
Wave is either real or it's not. They don't have much cash for Milberg & Weiss so I can't see why they are even bothering. The suite may be being brought by a short seller frustrated wave still has a pulse.
Well you sure seem excited about Milberg & Weiss! Sure be interesting to see how it plays out. Sure looks like legalized extortion to me......CL
So nice to see that little chart IH just set up looking so pretty today. I like the new format. Technically speaking if wave breaks 1.72 it's a buy!....CL
The only comforting thing is apparently they have the most basic facts wrong.....CL
The lawyers...
I get sued by at least a dozen Ambulance chasing bums a year. It's nothing less than legalized extortion. I have no respect for them. If SkS has the truth on his side the slime will creep back into the sewer where they belong.....CL
UncleverName
So I guess it would be safe to assume they also assumed Intel had no obligation to buy any software from Wave?
These guys are slime.......CL
The Best Defense is the Truth?????....
These guys are claiming SkS was being deceptive when Wave announced the Intel Deal. I listened to SkS say Wave was getting around a buck a TPM from Intel. I now read that the lawyers are saying Intel is under no obligation to buy a single software license and that the deployment will be insignificant.
If that is the truth and SkS lied about the dollar a board, IMO he should be hung out to dry. The employees of wave sold over 8 million dollars in stock and only a couple of million went into the till. A small bunch of people split up close to 6 million bucks.
If the lawyers are wrong and are lying, then out with it. How about some deployment numbers and revenue figures to prove them wrong. That is the best defense for all involved.
Lawyers are saying the Intel news was BS, SkS should show the financial results (if any). If there was no revenue as a result of the PR, fry em..........CL
Wave looks like a coiled spring..No volume for sale at these levels. If anyone wants any amount of shares, they are going to have to take it up by at least a dime...CL
Texas tree....After reading the s3 and of course our most recent company press release, I would say all the bad news is out. I am very encouraged by the recent price appreciation despite the lack of any GOOD news. I own more shares than I ever have, but refuse to become attached to them in any way. I am trading Wave from the long side and think by March we will be making new yearly highs. Very encouraged, finally long and liking it....CL
One more thing.....I told my buddy Skoal a week ago that there wasn't much for sale. It was my opinion that a couple of hundred thousand share buy order would move this thing up. We rose 25% on 2.6 million shares. Imagine what we would have been up with another 52 million share day!!! Long and so far NOT wrong...CL
