Fatalism
Though the word “fatalism” is commonly used to refer to an attitude of resignation in the face of some future event or events which are thought to be inevitable, philosophers usually use the word to refer to the view that we are powerless to do anything other than what we actually do.
Dancing with the one who brung you; we been dancing a while but she's pretty cute.
This play is antithetical to most stocks at this level. They might just in fact want to make money by going public in a low float stock the same way we do. Legit!
So today, they took my measly 55k buy, banked my money to use elsewhere unencumbered and legal. Happily borrowing my shares with no interest to anyone. They obviously know as much about the future of this stock as I do. It's a Mexican Stand-off. 100% is a lot by any measure. On balance; that's why it's two pennies a share I suppose. From my side of the bid ask, I like my odds.
That was me. I've been in this thing so long I'm still in the green after that hit. It got me to just under 300k shares. Fingers crossed.
If they take the risk of dumping their assets into this public vehicle to broaden the risk reward of Capitalism, who knows. They might enjoy some short term future profits and borrow cheaper moneys for future gains.
That and the low float is the only reason I am risking my hard earned money. I hope they see the same potential we do to make some money by going public with a low float.
I picked up a few more today under .08 with TDA. I don't think there is any issue from what I have seen.
I'm just as enthusiastic as you. Looks good from here but there is going to be good days, bad days and sideways days. Prepare yourself for the ups and downs and keep a wary eye. These kinds of stocks, if they hit, they don't go up slow, they leave you aghast at the rise.
I'm invested in MVNT since VSHC. I have renewed interest now but I noticed the float seems hidden? Restricted?. What's up with that? They don't seem to be selling do they? What are the chances they will RS this when they finally get serious again?
That's not the Ruby mine owned by NBRI. My friend Barry Clay owns that mine in Ruby Alaska. Totally different Mine.
Any long that has never experienced the pleasure of watching a small company stock move up, take note. There will be people that are financially and/or psychologically invested on the short side of NBRI and they will attack this company in ways yet unseen. Many of them have regular contact with the SEC & news outlets and they are ruthless in their due diligence. They will spin anything and everything in their favor and the people they have relationships with at the SEC, media, etc... "DO LISTEN TO WHAT THEY SAY". Many of us longs have communication with PL, and I stress here what I see coming so that we may all be forewarned and look out for the company going forward.
Spot on spanky. Gold is rare, short of owning Barrick or Newmont, our ancient virgin Yuba river deposit sees a pretty good bet at these gold prices.
I'll throw in with Shermann for proprietaries sake. If we are wrong in the end it's here for all to see.
As do I Shermann. When all is said and done, I don't expect to be apologizing to the Keynesians for getting it wrong. We will see.
Remfire explains perfectly that the glass can be half full. We are all waiting with baited breath to see who's right as the drama unfolds. I have my money on NBRI.
I see what you did there Gemstone. 2 million year old, gold bearing virgin riverbeds. Truly exciting times to own NBRI.
Wall Street Journal reports: Summers Withdraws Name for Fed Chairmanship. Interesting times for gold no doubt.
WASHINGTON— Lawrence Summers, a former U.S. Treasury secretary, called President Barack Obama Sunday to say he is pulling out of the contest to succeed Ben Bernanke as chairman of the Federal Reserve.
"I have reluctantly concluded that any possible confirmation process for me would be acrimonious and would not serve the interest of the Federal Reserve, the Administration or, ultimately, the interests of the nation's ongoing economic recovery," Mr. Summers said in a letter to the president that followed the telephone call.
Gemstone, I live in Georgia but I've mostly detected Gold in Alaska. The best option for gold detecting is any detector specifically tuned to gold. If your going to use that 250, it's a great detector but you are going to get the best results in all metal mode, which also requires you to dig hot rocks and trash. Take a small piece of gold and play with the settings to get the feel for how the device reacts, and make sure you are detecting in an area conducive to nuggets and not just fine gold. It's a real rush to find nuggets, good luck.
Very interesting if true. MSM not reporting at this time.

DITTO....
Scary isn't it?...... when traditional economic theory makes so much more sense in this environment.
Thanks SG. Very nice pics posted today.
At the Ruby mine they have a 1,000 yard per day placer wash plant and a 50-ton per day quartz mill.

I second that. He's knowledgeable and open to any question or comment.
Anybody notice the slight divergence in a couple of the gold mining indexes and gold price the past couple days? Exciting times we live in.
Nice Pic. All that was built with gold at $18.93/toz. It's time to reopen the mine.
Exploration and development of gold projects around the world are carried out almost exclusively around previously known deposits. The low hanging fruit in gold mining is gone. Gold is rare, that's an important factor in why it's a store of wealth. The fact that we are reopening an old ancient placer deposit at these gold prices, makes economic sense to me.
Unless the world economy miraculously balances the books without using quantitative easing or other accounting tricks, you will see the senior miners buying those same previously known deposits we all thought worthless just a couple years ago. $1,500/toz and above gold is going to open many more "old mines", simply because that is where the gold always was and still is. That's my thoughts. GLTA NBRI.
Exactly, NBRI is right on track for the perfect storm coming.
The 3D mapping is used to more efficiently follow the ancient river beds. We already know the gold is there.
I found that same page showing up as far back as Jan 2010 on archive.org, so it appears that is the same residual listing that was prevalent on the web when it was listed for sale.

No no, it's a positive spin on small mining & exploration companies catching up to the high gold prices soon. I'm very Looooong NBRI.
More good blah blah blah about the near future of gold mining stocks like ours. http://www.kitco.com/ind/kitcogibson/
Agree 100%. This is all fiddling & manipulating while Rome burns.
We are just a little early to the party. What your seeing in volume is the look on Wall Streets face as they realize the other party might be coming to an end and ours is about to start.
Gold on a tare this morning. EOM
I believe the RDC holds the deed to the mine secured by NBRI warrants, with initial $35,000/month mortgage payments to increase in 2012.
Funding = The EB-5 Program was created by the United States Congress in 1990 through passage of the Immigration and Nationality Act. In 1993, Congress created the Pilot Program to stimulate immigration under the EB-5 category. The Pilot Program allows individuals from around the world to attain United States citizenship through investment in US businesses and creation of US jobs. Both programs are administered by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services ("USCIS"), an agency of the Department of Homeland Security. Northern California Regional Center was designated as an approved regional center by the USCIS on April 22, 2010.
Most likely because the stock is so thinly traded right now. The market makers have plenty of stock and it's the only way they can make money till the demand rises for BESE.
Gold back near $1,450. Sweet!
This thing is well managed, this financing is peanuts, it got us over the hump and we're still into a very small float. No comparison. This is the place to be if you know where the world economy is headed. JMHO
